Thinking more on it, I think the designers really limited themselves by basing the ghoul's designs off of actual fish. Like its a cool detail on the surface, but I think it robbed us of some cool designs. It worked a bit in Toralei and Draculaura's favor because the creatures they're based off of are already interesting looking but it REALLY fell flat for Clawdeen especially who was based off of a wolffish. What the hell kind of inspo are you supposed to take from this?

All they did was make her pale!!!

Funny enough the only character I think they did a great job on is Gil, and he didn't even get a doll!

On paper, the Monster High characters being turned into mermaids sounds like it would be incredible, so it's such a shame that the designs ended up so lackluster.
