#also school districts lost funds and are getting budget cuts. so i cant even use school funds to buy my department cleaning supplies........

Have we though about what’s going to happen in August? Schools reopening? All students in an area will be in a handful of buildings throughout their district and then it will spread RAPIDLY! I mean think about before school in the cafeteria where students eat! Think about during lunch! During Firedrills! During passing periods! On Buses! Think about the schools that are socioeconomically disadvantaged. Think about it. And while each school district is told what they should try to do there is no way to force people that can not afford toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, etc to buy masks. There is no way to also expect them to wear one for 8 hours or more a day. That feels like torture.

I want to go back to school, where I work, to give my life some semblance of meaning, but at what cost? What would it cost in lives? What would it cost in healthcare coverage? And while they say we’ll close down for 14 days from the initial confirmed case we have families where kids bounce back and forth between parents. I just feel so lost and disheartened about it. I mean honestly. And then what does this become our new normal? If it’s supposed to become the next Flu like illness? And vaccines are still a ways off.

I guess what really gets me is that if we don’t take this threat seriously there’s a lot more at stake. People make jokes about Halloween at first I’m laughing then I’m dead ass serious because this could affect us for a lot longer than that. And it will as long as people keep going out and being careless.
