like yes. the concept of making a general fantasy verse or an AU of any kind is appealing until you have to take rhea out of the context of her original verse and then u have no idea who she is 🧍♀️
#like for example? i would love to make a believable grishaverse#but i have to use my actual brain and try to somehow make the concept of Houses significant#bc rhea being a leader of her House and the keeper of her land is just WHO she is FIRST#but i dont believe Houses are that relevant to the major plot of the grishaverse neither does it fit the lore#(unless it does and i need to read more. as i usually do.)#and i LIKE having something that serves the plot for the writers involved.#rather than simply gifting rhea an ability and calling it a day#similarly. i am toying with the idea of rhea not being a lady of runestone and how she could exist beyond that#like her being a general wanderer#but her devotion towards her House and her duty outweighs nearly everything else#and its like. how can i separate the flesh from the identity? and when her identity is her position.#BUT I RLLY WANNA MAKE IT WORK#because i rlly want rhea to grow and travel and LEARN.#also ruminating an idea that in 115 AC (year shes supposed to die)#she gets on a ship. and was lost. and then she showed up somewhere else.#and had to survive to return back……..#JUST THINKING THOUGHTS.#GENERAL: OUT OF CHARACTER.
