1. what is your favorite autumn scent? idk probably cinnamon?

2. would you rather go through a corn maze or go pumpkin picking? corn maze because getting lost with your friends in a corn maze at 11:30 at night when it’s dark and you can’t even see where you’re going and you’re the last group in the maze is terrifying and excellent time well spent.

3. what is your favorite halloween candy? candycorn and i’ll fight any fool who doesn’t like it. but from general trick or treating probably butterfingers or snickers?? i like all candy i don’t discriminate babey

4. favorite autumn holiday? thanksgiving i guess? fun to see family and eat food.

5. rainy, foggy autumn days or cold, sunny autumn days? listen, i really love rain and fog. and at this point i am begging the rain to return. but there is something about cold, sunny, september mornings that i just can’t get over.

6. favorite horror movie to watch on halloween? i don’t have any traditions but i’m gonna go ahead and copy jess because She’s Right: coraline, it, and the shining. also i’ll add children of the corn cuz i saw that one halloween (with the same gang that i got lost in the corn maze with) and it’s a wild time.

17. hayrides or campfires? i’m not sure i entirely know what a hayride is but campfires hands down bro. give me the flames.

18. describe your ideal autumn day: walking around a place full of red/orange/yellow trees. bundled in a jacket and it’s sunny and i take fun photos with friends. hands warm from holding our hot drinks (mine is hot cocoa of course)

21. what is your go-to autumn outfit(s)? probably my button up & sweater combo with my grey skinny jeans and tan trench coat. that look makes me look like a journalist or detective or something. it’s a good look.

22. do you wear scarves? yeah i have one and it’s white and soft and my grandma gave it to me (gave not made, despite the lovely trope of grandmas knitting lmao) and i LOVE it and wear it every winter.

23. describe your dream autumn date? probably exactly what i said with the ideal autumn day question but this time it’s with a Cute Boy and we’re Holding Hands🤭

24. scary stories around a campfire or getting lost in a corn maze with someone? well i’ve already raved about getting lost in a corn maze so i’ll pick that one. that’s definitely one of my most fond memories with my high school friends haha.

27. vampires or witches? i really don’t care about either but when i was a kid my nana had this like five feet tall witch thing that stood outside her door during halloween season and when you walked up to it, it would do the classic witch cackle. that was fun lmao.

► ( lalisa manoban & nonbinary ) according to the school’s records, calypso “cal” saetang is a 21-YEAR-OLD junior studying film, and they live over in gordon. they are a sagittarius, so that must be why others describe them as individualistic, honest, detached and regretful. when i see them, i’m reminded of old journals and diaries with chunks of writing scribbled out, film burning out in an old projector, the faint glow of a television screen late at night. ( gibby, 20, they/them, est ) ◄

the eldest child of the saetang clan, when calypso was first born, everything the light touched was theirs. they were the shining star in their parents eyes, the single most important thing to exist in their life. cal was their princess, an invisible crown placed upon their head the moment they took their first breath, and they never really got to experience the true power that this held.

why didn’t they get to experience? well, it was simple. another baby came along only moments afterwards, a twin with eyes that shined just as bright as cal’s. they were two halves of the same whole, and for a brief moment, maybe they were equal.

it didn’t last, however. azalea was said to have been, “brilliant” by their doctors growing up, something calypso never showed signs of due to undiagnosed adhd, and immediately the two were different. while azalea excelled with starting to read eons above the level of her peers, calypso found themself with their head in the clouds, distanced from even many of their peers at school.

with the taste of greatness on their tongue, the saetang’s weren’t satisfied with a prodigy for a daughter while their other child left away to rot. no, they wanted stars — two golden ones in their family, to bring them greatness. it starts simple: “calypso, you should be more like your sister,” and suddenly both children are found at odds with each other, a battle that calypso was never destined to win.

it wasn’t that calypso wasn’t capable - no, they were, but they weren’t like azalea. while she could dance and sing, they preferred to be behind the scenes, often dreaming up book and movie ideas and a life much different than their own that they’d scratch away into the depths of journals and diaries that could never meet the eyes of another. they weren’t the same.

this war, often fueled by their parents, started a war between sisters. everything cal could do, azalea could do better - a frustrating game of cat and mouse despite how hard cal would try. by the time the two got to high school, their relationship was irreparable - they shared nothing anymore other than their own face.

during their senior year of high school, the two were permanently split by the ways of nature as azalea passed away only weeks before their graduation. despite the two never being close, it seemed to hit calypso the hardest, who suddenly began to hide away in their bedroom.

in fact, the only reason they left for haddon was to get away from it all - their old swingset in the backyard that hadn’t been touched in years, her old bedroom across the hall, the area where they carved their names into the windowsill in their bedroom, their parents, all of it.

this is SUCH a bad ending to this intro but like ba dum tss that’s where they are now !! they’re in film bc they’ve always been passionate about film and they wear their sister’s bracelet on their wrist always as their tribute to her! also don’t really talk to their parents anymore as they find themself harboring a lot of anger towards them for the rift they caused, but sometimes it’s just them trying to place blame on the lack of closeness the two had on someone other than themself.

they’re quite opinionated which, is that for their own good or not? only time will tell. they never seem to be able to politely mask their disgust when someone says that they adore the newest adam sandler movie or that, god forbid, friends was funny ( no offense to anyone if u like that, pls know i adore u fdsjhdfhkj ). they can just be a bit pretentious at time, something they will swear they aren’t as they, “don’t care enough” to do such a thing. which, spoiler alert: they do care enough and if you are, unfortunately, someone they talk to, they will ramble to you about how pixar isn’t actually that good but dreamworks ruined itself trying to catch the high of shrek.

they are... a complete pothead though and frankly if you ever need weed they are there for you

they get really philosophical about life and movies the higher they get though so you have to be prepared for some ramble about how everyone is a main character and that tik tok trend was wrong and this idea that some people are more important than others is exactly what capitalism wants you to think.

they tend to be very detached tho - one of their biggest “fatal flaws.” they don’t usually give a fuck if they hurt you, not because they don’t care about you, their emotions just aren’t completely... there

thank you for asking, bc i have many thoughts about glee s4—i feel like it has some of the best and worst parts of glee? like im so glad rachel moves to ny, because there's like finally air in the room for tina, blaine, brittany etc, and i even enjoyed a lot of the finn arc (everything minus the shit with emma because anything involving will and emma i find so extremely unworthy of airtime. will could have never returned and this show would have been better for it.) (1/5)

and while i remember being like a huge britanna shipper as a sporadic, casual viewer, i genuinely believe that brit and sam are one of glee’s best pairings? like ive already expressed that i like sam way more than i expected, but he is like peak himbo and im so sad i didn’t notice before. truly tho, brittany is the best glee character imo. (2/5)

and BLAINE. BLAINE! so excited to see blaine in plots that aren’t entirely centered around kurt! (i like klaine, but up until this point blaine’s entire presence has just felt like an extension of kurt and im glad the show has progressed.) he is amazing, his friendship with sam is adorable, him and tina have such a ridiculous and perfect friendship, and he is not the new rachel, he is so much fucking better than rachel. (3/5)

i think most of the new characters introduced were meh but kitty and jake grew on me. most of the ny/nyada stuff was also meh—who thought vogue/com was a good plot line? brody was like average, but glee’s take on sex work was truly the last thing this world needed. i have many many thoughts about santana and quinn hooking up, but it mostly boils down to: quinn should have been written as queer, the writers are cowards, and i am so uninterested in straight college girls experimenting plots. (4/5)

and finally: the catfishing plot is garbage. (5/5)

ok ok ok i don’t even know where to begin because YOU’VE MADE SOME POINTS!!!

i think i have to agree about the fact that s4 has the best and the worst. tbh it remains my least favourite season but i do like the fact that we got see others shine and it has some of the best performances? and girls (and boys) on film is a top tier episode in my opinion (every performance in that episode is excellent)

sam and brittany did have some very sweet moments together i have to agree! the fact that sam has been with almost everyone in the show (quinn, santana, mercedes, brittany, tina, rachel) and somehow it worked (except santana) that’s honestly impressive. also kurt and blaine’s crushes on sam were also very valid and believable.

BLAINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE MY FAVOURITEEEEEEE i’m so glad that you’re excited about his plot in s4. i feel like the [redacted] storyline overshadowed everything else in the season and i hate it because it was so OOC (also it’s something that 90% of the characters has done at some point in the show but with blaine it just gets overblown and i don’t like it) and you’re right it’s fun to see him as a character instead of an extension of kurt. and like i know a lot of people don’t like blaine as much in the later seasons and in some ways i agree that the writers did him dirty but i also think it sucks that people thought he got ruined when he started showing more vulnerability you know? idk like my opinions on every glee characters change all the time except for blaine i will love and defend him til the day I DIE. and true blaine is his own person he’s not the new rachel. also i have mixed feelings about his friendship with tina jabkdf like it was very sweet but then they did tina so dirty with the vapo scene. and yeah his friendship with sam? love it. the way sam was there for him after his breakup with kurt, the way blaine helped him with his body image issues. and i thought his crush on sam was really realistic and i like how sam reacted to it. he’s a good egg.

about the new characters i don’t wanna be rude but in my opinion that’s why s4 isn’t my fave? i never grew attached to them and i don’t think it was a good idea to make them the new quinn, rachel, finn, etc. the newbies in s6 are superior. and it’s weird because i really don’t like kitty (the thing she did to marley is unforgivable for me) but i remember kinda liking her near the end of s4 but i think it’s just because she’s the only one who really had a full arc in s4. jake i’m indifferent about him but i love his voice and he dances very well. jacob artist deserved better lmao

and yeah the catfishing plot if garbage, kitty making marley have an eating disorder is garbage.... what else is garbage in that season i know for sure there’s more jsbfnkgndg

Sim ongoing

Soooo,first a small update on the sim in that work on it is still going down. We’d love to have an opening date but playing it by ear. Real life comes first, and I’ve been dealing with a lot of health issues so progress is a lot slower than it normally would be for me. Fortunately have had several talented volunteers who are doing great with the build, so expect some more updates soon.

Some things we’re looking for include;

1. Getting a few rigs done.

2. Have a few staff positions as well in both the GM and storyteller department. As always longstanding policy is that we only take on those who do not have staff/responsibility positions elsewhere.

------------Skip below if you don’t like rubbernecking.

Next, I need to apologize. I fucked up. Recently I went at some people who didn’t really deserve the “wrath” which seemed to be a catalyst in a domino effect that crippled “Unification”. I still have many criticisms of it, but that chain reaction allowed for something much worse to fill the void that was created and I speak of “SWU” and “Taris”. While 0% of what I said was a “lie” there was of course items that were speculation and a bit harsh and in retrospect it was regrettable. I had some people with real life connections to Cyprus in my ear and it was very much a fire which was extensively fed by those with a malicious agenda. For all the flaws Loosh and others may have, they would be far favorable to Cyprus. In the entire decade I’ve been here I don’t think I’ve ever encountered someone so corrupt, someone who has not an ounce of integrity or any idea what fair play is. Over the last few weeks I’ve had to hear so many of the regulars here speak of how they’ve been screwed over there and it’s been a bit gut wrenching with the knowledge that I am partly responsible.

One example I will provide of how he and his clique engineered the feud was that they were the ones leaking information from Unification chat. I’ve always aspired to be the same in public as in private, so I’m not usually too concerned with “leaks”, but in this case it was a clear effort to escalate the fighting so that he could benefit from it.

Some other examples during this was when two votes where occurring in Unification at the same time. One of them to take away Loosh’s server admin position, the other on banning me.

So to make that clear. Both Cyprus and Sabastiion/JOINASR traded votes in order to gain support for their effort to oust Loosh. When that didn’t happen and they couldn’t obtain virtual “power” through Unification they instead broke off to make SWU.

Everybody knows I don’t mind a “fight”, to some extent I’ll embrace it. That’s just who I am, but in this case I do think that was used against me as I swallowed the bait and didn’t really take pause to see the agendas at play. In retrospect, with the history Cyprus and Sabastiion/JOINASR have for this kind of thing, I should have seen it from a mile away.

So let’s start with their last sim, in 2017 they made a Corellia sim back when we were Coruscant. We had been under construction much like now, however we had a major setback when those two saw the build then offered the builder a much higher sum than we were able to pay. So they pretty much bought the build out from under us, then there was even some griefing during this period as they sought to do what they could to keep us from re-opening.. much like the present in which they’ve bribed several people over. Eventually their co-admins got fed up with their antics and voted to remove their admin status. In response they returned the build, several builders who had worked on parts of the sim where negatively affected by this and I’m not even sure it ever opened again. That sim being Fourth Dimension/Legacies. They bought a build out from under the owner of that sim, trying to use it as their own and rushed to open before 4D was fully able to, and are now pinning that on us. They griefed said sim, and harrassed its players in their group chats on multiple occasions in attempts to either poach from them, or simply troll them. Talon, as an owner did not actually pay into monthly sim tier, and never passed along the money from rentals to the ownership team. We still don't know where that money is. Cyprus, controlled the tip jar in the landing zone, and we haven't seen a dime from that. This sim was started on the idea of civilizing Star Wars roleplay, and being done with this sort of drama. We, the ownership team are deeply sorry that this occurred, and we are going to be working as hard as possible to get the sim back open, and on a clean slate, starting from square one. So, they got removed from position, returned the build then started advertising for my sim.. this after they bought our builder out from under us. I guess they figured they needed to get back on our good side after alienating everyone who had worked with them on that sim.

They didn't even end up paying the builder all the money they'd promised, after they rage returned the sim they blamed the 150USD that never got delivered on the people who they had just left build-less that had nothing to do with the deal.

They turned around and offered us the build parts that the people they tried to stick with the bill didn't even have access to. Trying to get back in good favor with us, we declined though, we pretty much sat there and watched that sim implode like "huh".

This pattern of underhanded behavior extends to the roleplay itself. I don’t think I’ve seen many cases of worse meta-gaming than from that circle of real life friends with Cyprus, Sabastiion and Nessa. Here is just one example in which Cyprus plays both a Darth and a Jedi Master at the same time.. and...hunts himself.. clearly using one character to inflate the other, this is perhaps one of the worst abuses of alt accounts I’ve seen in my decade in SWRP...

He gave a slight flourish of the imense blade as he twirled it between his hands before grasping it in a double djem power stance as he looked at the jedi that stood before him as a slight growle escaped from his teeth

His immense hands had enclosed around the enlongated staff hilt of his legendary blade and drew it close in a duel handed battle stance of Djem So in mirror of Talon's own. The laser blade gave a banshee wail as it whirled about suddenly in a brilliant flourish within the skilled flow of his hands, creating a whirlwind like effect of weaving blue blade before him as he approached abruptly foward, unleashing a controled thrust foward of the extensively long blade towards Talochest as he looked at the mando figure "I wouldnt shoot if I where you my friend" he said as he lunged forward

[02:37] Raven Tal (aaronsterling1) moved around the woman standing there as he took into account the woman standing there as he simply rolled around her preventing her from getting in the middle. having maintained direct control over the fluid motion of the drive of the blazing red blade as it plunged forth from Lord Talon to his head, he would not overextend his balance and thus allowed him to counteract the strike to his head from Talon's own saber. There was a cracking hiss as the searing blades would connect he would extend a hand to Talons stomach he would attempt to push the Sith outward of the club to prevent any other distubance of the people inside, this was a jedi's fight, not theirds. And he would do whatever it took to finish it

[02:39] Lord Talon Eyes opened wide as he got hit by the force push, he was send flying out of the room as he then regained his balance by sliding across the floors with his boots that brought him to a halt. As he griped his lightsaber once more ready for Raven. He knew the jedi wouldn’t let the others get in the way so he left them alone and would focus on the jedi who he faced.

Besides learning how to use spell check? there has been little growth in Cyprus, he’s still someone who utilizes OOC methods to gain IC power. When he failed to make a mark legitimately, he now tries to buy the status. Rewarding those who support him with high combat system ranks or even real money in some cases. So like I said, going after Loosh and Uni was dumb on my part as I enabled the rise of the most corrupt motherfucker in SWRP. So there is some obligation to raise transparency and awareness of some of his past antics. Some of his past names even seem to be banned by Linden Labs, I couldn’t tell you why but found that interesting. Take all of that for what you will. I’ve provided materials to backup pretty much everything I’ve ever said on him, it is a rarity when you have to speculate so little to illustrate what a colossal garbage person someone is. Play where you wanna play and do what you wanna do, but do it with eyes wide open.

Their platform is the exact same pledge they made in 2017, just a couple weeks before they destroyed a sim many people had worked hard on..

I guess they changed their mind by 9/4/2017 when they returned the sim :(, point being, they are full of false promises, and pretty much anyone would be a favorable alternative to having these meta-gaming scam artists continue to assert influence over the community.
