TELL ME ABOUT CATCF MUSICAL CAST OR LITERALLY WHATEVWR U LIKE ABT IT!!!! :3
AGAHRHEHUQHA OKAY!!! This might be a long ramble but that’s okay (Tysm for letting me yap) I think I’ll js bullet point it actually
The West End production is better, in my opinion, but I don’t find the other versions any less enjoyable to watch if yk what I mean
I really enjoy the modern interpretations of the characters (especially the four rotten children)
Mike Teavee is my favorite (well I mean, he is in every adaptation) but he’s just so funny in the musical, and I resonate more with him bc he canonically has ADD/ADHD in the musical!
The parents have more interesting and less bland personalities than some did in the film adaptations
(Most of) the songs are either beautiful, or just absolute BANGERS. Especially Vidiots, It Must be Believed to be Seen, and Juicy (only in the West End version unfortunately)
Wonka and Charlie have a much more established bond in the musical version
All the Wonkas throughout all the musical adaptations have been consistently AMAZING
The Broadway cast is hilarious and it’s so funny to see their backstage videos even though they were so long ago
the costumes are FANTASTIC!!
The set design is also spectacular, but only in the WE and UK tour versions bc the broadway was js super bland for some reason???
Violet is an absolute POWERHOUSE of a singer
Veruca is a ballerina (in the broadway she’s a Russian ballerina) which is a take I adore
Mike Teavee has been canonically been requested by the authorities to not leave his house I would include more, but then it would be a SUPER long post

The Haikyuu Boys with a Cosplay SO
Kageyama Tobio x GN reader; Ushijima Wakatoshi x GN reader
Warnings: fluff!
AN: This is an Anon request!
🌠 Please Like, Reblog and/or Share to help support my writing 🌠
Tobio Kageyama
He'll admit, he doesn't understand it
BUT- that doesn't mean he's not supportive 🥰
Just like you and his volleyball
And you know what, that's ok! Because it's good for couples to have their own individual interests
However, he does find your talent for coaplay amusing
He actually really enjoys watching you get ready
Everything from the hair to the makeup to the actual costume
Heck he's even helped you make your costume
Random mini side note: I feel like Kageyama would try his hardest at anything
Ok maybe not school 🙄 but like he would totally be into helping you out
He's a master with a hit glue gun 💅🏼
To get him to go to conventions with you, you will probably have to make him a deal
"I'll go to your volleyball games and practice with you, if you come with me"- You
"Deal!"- Kags
It's all about the compromise
But he secretly has fun at the conventions
He's so observant so he's noticed the details on all the costumes
He'd make mental notes to tell you about them later 😍
He'd be the designated photographer 📸
He would be great with standing still and taking portraits for you
Also he will totally watch the shows with you 🤚🏻
On a scale of 1-10, he'd be an 8 for supportive!
Wakatoshi Ushijima
This one I find so entertaining 🥰
Ushijima would love an SO who does cosplay
You are essentially a Tendou
And Ushijima would be so devoted to you
Please he might be a stoic man but he's totally going to give you honest opinions about your cosplay
"Maybe a little more glitter YN"- Ushiwaka 😐
"That characters hair is a bit higher YN. Here let me help"- Ushi 😐
He has his vollball and you have your cosplay
Please you even cosplay as Ushijima for his games 😭
Imagine Ushijima standing by his team and just another smol version of Ushiwaka shows up and stands next to him
🧍♂️ 😐 🧍♂️ 😐
Tendou would absolutely lose it 🤣
"TWO USHIWAKAS" Tendou 🖐🏻👁⭕️👁🖐🏻
"Ok let's play our best"- Ushijima 😐
"Ok LeTs PlAy OuR BeSt"- you 😐
Ushijima just ignores you because he's so use to it
Please you embody Ushi in cosplay 😭
After the game, you ask Semi or Shirabu to set for you
Tendou is going to block
You slam a spike down
"THE GREAT USHIWAKA STRIKES AGAIN"- tendou
"ThAnK yOu TeNdOu"- you 😐
Ushijima js just staring at you 😐
Please he's smiling on the inside YN 😭

Want to visit Boston but short on time? This itinerary will help you plan an action-packed day in Boston, squeezing in as much of the city as you can in just one day.
Boston is a special city, it’s where history comes to life. There are so many stories here waiting to be told, most famous of which is of the American Revolution.
Is it possible to have a great experience in Boston with just a day to spare? Of course, it is. Read on and I’ll show you how.
Don’t forget to pin this post to find again later
Where to stay in Boston
Budget accommodation in Boston
HI Boston Hostel:
HI Boston is one of the best hostel options in the city. The large modern hostel is located in Chinatown and is only a 10-15 minute walk away from a lot of the cities sights. Prices for beds in dorms start at around $40.
Book here.
Airbnb:
Airbnb is always a good budget option for accommodation, especially in the USA where hostel prices are more than in other countries around the world.
Click here to get £25 towards your next airbnb booking.
Mid-range accommodation in Boston
The Verb Hotel:
Boston doesn’t have a lot of accommodation options that are as cheap as elsewhere, but The Verb Hotel in Boston is one of my favourite accommodation options on the cheaper end of the scale. This music-inspired hotel is located close to the famous Fenway Park. Even boasting its own swimming pool, this reclaimed motel is one of the most characterful hotels in Boston.
Prices start at around £102 per night. Book Here.
The Residence Inn:
The restored historic building houses a stunning modern interior. The Residence Inn offers a mix of short and long-stay accommodation options.
Room rates start at around $185 dollars per night. You can book online here.
Luxury Accommodation in Boston
The Liberty Hotel:
If you’re really looking for a luxury accommodation treat, The Liberty Hotel ticks all the boxes. The hotel offers luxurious guest-rooms featuring flat-screen TVs, award-winning dining and lounge options and free seasonal bicycle rentals along with free seasonal yoga classes.
Room rates start at $178 per night. You can book here.
Alternatively, the below search box is a quick way to compare prices across Boston.
Booking.com (function(d, sc, u) { var s = d.createElement(sc), p = d.getElementsByTagName(sc)[0]; s.type = 'text/javascript'; s.async = true; s.src = u + '?v=' + (+new Date()); p.parentNode.insertBefore(s,p); })(document, 'script', '//aff.bstatic.com/static/affiliate_base/js/flexiproduct.js');
One day in Boston Itinerary
Ok, so let’s get going with our one day on Boston Itinerary, starting of course with breakfast.
Eat Legendary Sticky Buns at Flour Bakery
Flour Bakery is something of a Boston legend. Their sticky buns are everything you want your breakfast to be. Gooey, sticky, sweet and oh-so-good!

Walk the Freedom Trail and step through history
One of the best ways to soak up the mammoth historical importance persevered around Boston is to walk the Freedom Trail.
The 2.5-mile route leads you to 16 historically significant sites. The collection of museums, churches, meeting houses, burying grounds, parks, a ship, and historic markers tell the story of the American Revolution and beyond.
You can choose to walk the freedom trail on your own following one of these maps.
You also have the option to join a 90-minute tour across certain parts of the Freedom Trail led by Freedom Trail Players, 18th-century costumed guides. Tours depart from both the Boston Common Visitor Information Center and the ArtsBoston Booth at Faneuil Hall.
As you only have one day in Boston, you can decide to take a shorter version of the Freedom Trail, and picking the stops you want to go to instead of completing all 16.
For more information about Freedom Trail Tours, visit the foundations website here.
Explore Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum
Learn all about the famous Boston Tea Party and visit the ships and museum, or better yet take part in an interactive tour and become part of the revolution.
The museum’s historical interpreters will whisk you through interactive exhibits, retelling the tale of life in a very rebellious Boston in 1773.
After the exhibits, enjoy a colonial tea experience at Abigail’s tea room. The Terrace has beautiful skyline views across Boston.

Visit Boston’s Best Bookshops
Boston has some incredible bookstores. In tucked away corners of the city, you’ll discover hoarders paradises full of books spanning across every genre. Two must-visit Boston bookstores are:
Brattle Book Shop
9 West St, 02111
This book shop has an amazing outdoor market, filled with a treasure trove of old books. The store also has two stories arranged by genre, covering everything from classics to psychology.
Harvard Bookstore
1256 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, 02138
The Harvard Bookstore is a magical place. This is where students from the nearby campus come to buy their books. It’s easy to spend hours here, browsing books and getting a feel for the Harvard lifestyle.

Shop at Faneuil Hall Marketplace
Stop by Faneuil Hall for some of the best shopping in the city. You’ll find 40 local businesses, selling there unique wares – perfect for thoughtful souvenirs.
The hall’s focus is on providing something different to your average shopping mall – an eclectic mix of stores.
History fans can also rejoice as you are able to take a walking tour, or gaze at some of the original artefacts on display.
Discover more about Faneuil Hall here.
Then eat at Quincy Market
Quincy market is the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat after a hectic morning exploring Boston. You’ll find 18 restaurants and 35 colonnade eateries to choose from.
The market opened in 1826 and is still serving yummy food to visitors and locals alike.
Some of my top picks of foods to try here are:
Clam Chowder- from Boston Chowda Co
Boston cream pie (the official dessert of Massachusetts) – Try it at Quincy’s Place
Lobster rolls – Eat at Boston & Maine Fish Co
Find out more about all the tasty food at Quincy Market here.
Take a trip to Harvard
Ever wanted to see just what happens at a world-renowned educational institution? Visiting the Harvard campus is a must. Located in Cambridge, the campus is only a short subway ride away from Boston. The Harvard Square stop on the Red Line of the MBTA subway system is across the street from the Harvard Yard and takes roughly 12 minutes from Boston centre.
Walk the same corridors as some of the minds that have helped shape the world that we live in. The best way to see the campus is to take a student-led walking tour. The tour is around one-hour long and is completely free. For more information about tour times visit the Harvard website here.
Take a tour of Fenway – or catch a game
Even for those who aren’t die-hard baseball fans, seeing a game is probably one of the most American pastimes you can experience. The main season starts in April and runs through to the end of September, but you can also visit Fenway during the spring training season. Home games run regularly throughout the main season. To find out when the Sox are playing, you can view the schedule on their website.
You can also by tickets for games on the Red Sox website here
Alternatively, you can take a tour of the stadium at a really reasonable price. A one-hour small group tour of Fenway is $21, which you can book here. The tour takes you behind the scenes, with unrivalled access down Fenway’s hallowed halls.
So grab a hotdog, take a seat and get yourself down to the ballgame.
Dinner in Chinatown
Boston’s Chinatown area has some great, authentic Chinese restaurants. These Asian eateries have everything form dumplings to dim-sum. Just visit this neighbourhood and pursue what’s on offer until something catches your eye.
See more of Boston in my travel vlogs
Check out my Favourite travel resources, perfect for one day in Boston.
My recommendations
For amazing cheap flight deals, I love Jack’s Flight Club.
To get great train passes across Europe, Interrail is the place to go.
Check out this site for awesome last minute travel deals.
To book onto a fabulous group tour, check out Contiki.
You may want a guide book for your travels if so I love Lonely Planet.
Never leave for a trip without travel insurance! You’ll never know when you may need it.

City’s “Halal Land” enclave of 70 shops, restaurants caters to Muslim visitors, residents - Travel - Vietnam News | Politics, Business, Economy, Society, Life, Sports

Most people are familiar with HCM City’s Chinatown in District 5, Korea Town in District 7, Japan Town in District 1, and the Western expat enclave in District 2.
But few know about an area for Muslims in District 1 located on Nguyễn An Ninh Street, sometimes called “Malaysian Street”, “Halal Street” or “Halal Land”.
Located near Bến Thành Market in District 1, the area has been a popular stop for Malaysian, Indonesian, and Bruneians for several years.
The area is unique in that it is not really a “town”. But more of a long street of 100 metres with a significant cultural impact.

In 2011, a woman named Basiroh, a former market researcher at a British firm, opened a clothing store for Malaysian tourists and expats on Nguyễn An Ninh Street in HCM City, according to Thanh Niên (Young People) newspaper.
As demand for more services increased, more people opened new stores or changed their shop’s offerings to Malay products, making Nguyễn An Ninh Street more vibrant than ever.
Mỹ Sang, owner of a fashion store on 12 Nguyễn An Ninh Street, told Báo Mới online newspaper that she used to make clothes for non-Asians back in the day. But as the street became more popular among Malaysian tourists, she began providing tailoring services for them as well.
There are now about 70 shops on this street that mostly offer tailoring, city tours, and food and beverage services, many of them catering to Muslim visitors and residents.
“Though everything operates on a small scale, I’m impressed that this street attracts so many visitors, especially at night,” Thu Hà, 25, told Việt Nam News.
“Don’t get me wrong, but this is one of the few places that I can see Islamic tourists with traditional costumes!” she added.

Malaysian friends of Tuấn Đức, 25, visit Việt Nam once or twice a year and buy fabrics for clothese for the new year or for special occaions on Nguyễn An Ninh Street.
“One of my friends, Baini, told me that fabrics here are high quality but affordable, even after taking into account her travel expenses,” he said, adding that Baini recently returned for some wedding props.
“Baini usually stays in Sài Gòn for about three days if she wants to tailor her costumes,” he said.
Syiqin, a tourist, said that she also prefers shopping for Baja Kurung, a traditional Malay costume, in Việt Nam instead of other countries.
“I only have to wait for a day or two for my clothing to be ready,” she said, adding that hijab, jubah, kain pasang, and tudung are all made well.
According to several shop owners, buyers sometimes purchase fabrics in large quantities to resell them at a higher value in their hometowns.
“They’re also interested in wooden sailboat models and wooden clogs,” a shop owner said.

Besides clothing, shoppers cannot resist the various Halal restaurants. Most of them offer traditional dishes such as Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Mee Goreng (fried noodle), Kari Ayam (chicken curry), and Nasi Lemak (fragrant rice dish cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaves), among others.
“I’m happy that I can easily find Halal dishes here. The food isn’t extravagant but it’s hearty enough for me to fall in love with Sài Gòn,” Syiqin said. “Tripadvisor.com comes in handy, too, since there are many restaurants with different price points to choose from.”
Tuấn Đức admitted that he couldn’t offer an accurate assessment of the food. “I don’t know enough about traditional Malay food to judge whether it tastes good or bad, authentic or inauthentic, but my Malay friends seem to enjoy it!”
Seafood is a top choice among his friends as it is fresher and cheaper in Việt Nam than in Malaysia.
To preserve the traditional flavours of each country, several of the restaurants employ both Malaysian and Vietnamese chefs.
About 80 per cent of shop owners on Nguyễn An Ninh Street can speak Malay. They are either Malay, Khmer or Vietnamese who know the language or who have worked with Malays long enough to understand their cultural norms.
All merchandise can be purchased in Việt Nam đồng (VNĐ) or Malaysian ringgit (MYR), which makes the tourist shopping experience even more pleasant.
