I’ve always been curious about Obikin, because it never felt right to me, but it isn’t exactly a pro-ship? I can never really tell. On one hand there’s the “you were my brother Anakin” on the other theres the headcanons. I just wanna know what the appeal is from someone who ships them. /gen
i’m not the best person to answer this bc i really don’t care at all if a ship is problematic or proshipper or whatever lol, i mean the first thing i did after watching the kenobi show was to look out for art and fics of vader nonconning obi-wan 🤪 and even if anakin and obiwan were siblings (which they aren’t let’s be real) i’m all for the dead dove ngl!! also it’s fiction… have a little more fun cuz this shouldn’t be that different than playing with our barbies when we were 4 and making them kill each other or have orgies together lol
but to answer your question, first i found their cat-and-mouse dynamic in kenobi really hot. vader obsessing diligently on his old master who he claims he doesn’t care about anymore was crazy. however, i think obikin is a beautifully complicated relationship. it’s canon that both anakin and obi-wan’s entire relationship is built on duality: master and apprentice, dark and light, love and hate, two halves of the same coin. this is some soulmatism shit that i fuck with and i was never into the whole soulmates tbh. i also think obi-wan is a heavily repressed man in terms of love and attachments and following the code to the core, and ofc struggles with his love for anakin: he cannot control him in any way for the force against humanity that anakin is (he’s such a momboy) plus he had the chance to kill him a couple of times and yet he couldn’t bring himself to do it and finally free him from the misery of being darth vader, bc of his love for him. he even spent his life in exile and probably didn’t kill himself just for the sake of anakin’s children. it’s not a coincidence that he decided to finally die and join the force when luke and leia were reunited and he guaranteed their safety
and then you have anakin who is anything but someone who subdues his feelings: he thrives for love, love is was fuels him and the reason he Fell on the first place, he pushes and pushes like the way he did to get padme to love him. i simply love how their own approach to love complements each other so well and i cannot get enough of it, bc at the end of the day they are both each other’s most important person. like look at this extract of this novel where anakin finally joins the force after ROTJ and how obi-wan has his own whole sentence from the other ones (even from padme!!!! or shmi!!!!)

i remember your villain origin story re: robb and i also remember all the associated metas about sansa painting her as this massively intelligent lady when she's 11 saying that she didn't say the truth about joff during the whole wolf incident is because she was aware of the political implications and how joff would behave and she has this whole betrothed role to fulfil and she's actually protecting arya by lying and ned is the one to blame AND arya is also to blame because she was needling the future prince and she is too stupid to realize that is dangerous etc. BUT sansa is also an 11 yr old so she made a mistake by going to cersei in book 1 and telling her about ned's plans like ???? pick a side??? lol.
i know sansa got a lot of hate for the wolf + cersei thingy but really it's not that deep. she had a huge crush on joff+ had a huge dream of being this storybook princess + got scared about the whole wolf incident and didnt wanna be hated by joff and cersei whom she adored + idealized, wasn't on the best of terms with arya. and hence she did a dumb 11 yr old mistake. which we also view primarily from arya's pov who really didn't do anything wrong in that one incident so ofcourse readers judge sansa for it. it's not that deep. but you cant go both ways and claim she is some mastermind at 11 while arya is dumb and ned irresponsible for letting arya play around dangerously while at the same time argue that sansa was 11 and made a mistake at the end. that's deliberately misreading EVERY OTHER character to prop up your fave - robb, arya, ned, theon, jon. (not to mention sansa also continuously blames arya and nymeria for the incident in the later book iirc but she has a thing about misremembering stressful periods so).
this has honestly been going on for a looong while. i used to stan sansa and it's true that she got a lot of misogynistic hate in the earlier seasons but the way some stans *cough*yourvillainoriginlady*cough* would behave towards every other character was just ugh. also the latter crop of j*onsa shippers from s6 onwards had a tendency to play down arya and jon's bond too. (the show can be blamed for that partially given that we didn't get jeyne!arya and jon forsaking his vows to rescue arya + giving sansa the "lone wolf dies but the pack survives" line which is literally arya's theme line but yeah). and i'm not even getting into reducing brienne and arya to qween sansa's swords like they're only there to serve sansa lmfao and shipping her with every character that's supposed to be good looking even if it makes 0 sense (jaime, jon, gendry) while ignoring canonical love interests (sandor and tyrion) as if the same problems of age + power + incest don't exist in their ships lol.
good thing I'm not the only one who remembers her and her absurd takes on just about everything not counting that one time she wrote that letter to EW because sansa showed cleavage in her cover and then called ramsay psychotic in it, had to emend because that's not how it works and then apologized for having been offensive but sure af she didn't apologize to me when she called me psychotic for telling her that her robb opinions were literally made up but GREAT TIMES X°DDD and I mean there was the amazing 'robb obv doesn't care about his sister or he'd have known she was being manipulated when he got her letter' and like I'm the least person to blame sansa for falling for it bc she was eleven and cersei is cersei and ofc she had no idea what she was doing but... how was robb supposed to know that X°DDDDDDD also no one is a political genius at 11 and it's all right like that but go and tell her that...
also agreed re the wolf incident but honestly like sansa getting hate for it or for anything she did during agot is stupid bc you don't hate an eleven year old for being an eleven year old we all were like that at some point??? but at the same time bashing on arya for that is like... bruh what the fucking fuck did she ever do to you???
that's deliberately misreading EVERY OTHER character to prop up your fave - robb, arya, ned, theon, jon.
I mean again robb was painfully obvious but the thing is that like... usually putting down other chars to prop up your fave means you like your fave for the wrong reasons since it means you never talk about the actual good things abt your fave (I mean these people live assuming that sansa's kindness isn't what actually propels her/is making sure she survives/is what will eventually be what gives her the upper hand in the end but no I have to read it was ic that she gave ramsay to the dogs in the show ffff) and you don't have to prop down everyone else or their bonds with other chars to like.. make your point? anyway sansa used to be in my asoiaf top ten now she's more top fifteen bc the show soured me but like I love booksansa and I 100% stan her, I was done with the show version by the end of S6 so I'm not even going there and the thing about showtruthing but then saying the books will be like that... needs to stop. also I'mma not going to touch the arya and brienne can only be in her qg arguments to make sense of their being gnc/into swords because honestly I have no force of will nor strength to get into why that discussion is not as progressive as ppl think it is but I think for me that was the straw breaking the camel's back if I wasn't already fed up with the casual ableism at sandor and tyrion and whatever else *raises hands*

Here is part 1 of the very long story of how I learned about multiple things, including games like Boyfriend to Death and Degrees of Lewdity. Tracing it back as far as I'm willing to.
Kinda like my
Current interests origin story
I'll bold main points because I like to talk. This will be long, I like to ramble and say everything I was thinking
This first part will be covering how I learned about lady-bakuhoe (now @kingkatsuki) and @kazooli. I swear they're relevant in this. I just like to trace things back to as far as possible, so here we go!
- Origin story starts -
One day, before I had a tumblr account, but knew of its existence (which I knew was good for seeing fancontent), I decided to look up Deku headcanons. So at the time, I had just started watching My Hero Academia. I was on episode 1 or 2, but I instantly LOVED Deku. And I didn't feel like reading a whole x reader fic, I looked for headcanons. And one top result was headcanons for multiple characters that Jo wrote A LONG time ago.
There were two headcanon posts she made (probably) and I decided to check out her blog since the ones she wrote were good. But I DO know that I was like "Hmm, these headcanons are the best out of the top ones, and she wrote a few." So I started looking at more of lady-bakuhoe's posts. And then I realized she liked Bakugou a lot and she wrote smut a lot.
I honestly think that it's HILARIOUS that I learned about her blog because of Deku, considering the fact she doesn't like him too much (btw, if you're reading, Jo, I hope I'm not burning your eyes by mentioning him too much). If you look at her rules and read what she doesn't write, Deku is listed right there, next to incest and pedophilia (not literally, but they are on her list). (So I never asked or expected her to write for him and instead found people who did, unfortunately none of them right as well as Jo, but whatever.)
But despite me being more into Deku, I still really enjoyed reading what she'd post and reblog. I also got to taste some high quality smut, and now my standards are forever very high when it comes to written porn.
However, I didn't (and still don't) really thirst for anyone she frequently writes for. The two character I thirsted for the most (I'm not exactly sure now, I seem to have calmed down) were Deku and Shigaraki, both of which are on Jo's "3 BNHA characters I can't thirst for" list. And in general I was just more horny for the villains than the heroes, but Jo doesn't write very much at all for the villains and says she doesn't write them very well and from I read, I agreed. (Sorry!)
What I really wanted, was a blog with good writing skills that wrote for the villains. Which was exactly what I found! So, I forget which post of theirs it was. But I think the person titled their blog "anime hawks saved me" or something like that. I clicked on the blog, scrolled a little and eventually found a Shigaraki x reader x Dabi. It was called "Just for Tonight" and from the summary (? If it had one, I can't remember) and how well written the first few paragraphs I accidentally read were, I was intrigued. It just, somehow pulled me in, in a way no other fic has.
Now that I think about it, reading that fic was like shaking the bad guy's hand from the Princess and the Frog. You know, the one leading into "Friends on the Other Side" when he says, "Would you shake a poor sinner's hand?"
But anyway, I began to read that fic. I guess I felt guilty for reading a villain smut despite what I previously said (I have conflicting emotions, constantly), maybe also some sort of purity complex or whatever, so I was actually intending on just reading a little, and then I would stop reading it. Ha. Ha. HA. I should have known at that point that when I start reading smut I won't be able to stop until it's finished. I only succeeded once, that was Coercion by lady-bakuhoe, but then I couldn't stop thinking about it for the rest of the day and opened it again and finished it.
I finished reading "Just for Tonight" and it was REALLY good. So good that, in a few days, I went back and read it again. And that's the only time I've ever done that. Where I actually read a fic again because I had the impulse to because I loved it so much. So I read it again and thought "Man, this is good. I wanna see if the writer wrote anything else like this." And this is my plunge into the @kazooli blog.
(Also, I wanna quickly mention something off topic. Some of the things I mention may or may not be consistent with the timeline. Like, for example, I mentioned that I thirsted for Shigaraki, but Jo didn’t write for him. BUT at the time I read "Just for Tonight" I remembered I was more into Dabi (which was short lived) than Shigaraki, at first I considered Shigaraki just a bonus character in the fic and now I consider Dabi the bonus character (how turntables). Which doesn't make sense considering the previous. I'm confused too. Maybe so maybe reading that "list of three characters" was after learning about Kazooli? But anyway, I guess one could say that her blog plus others made me a Shigaraki fan, but honestly I just wasn't far in the anime at that point and even if I never found those blogs I would have ended up liking Shigaraki a whole lot. He is somehow my type in appearance, personality, and tragic backstory, it's like Horikoshi made him for me. It's strange and wonderful)
Anyway. I remember going on and scrolling through and instantly being treated to some nasty (but yummy) things. I also found that "Just for Tonight" was her first post from what I can recall. I remember specifically finding this one meme she posted with someone (her) feeding seeds (incest) to birds (followers) and I was very confused because I was still clueless dark content existed (despite the noncon and dubcon fics/thirst posts on Jo's blog).
I was like "No, incest is bad." But then that got my thinking, "Why do they like it? Is there a reason." So I actually clicked on one of her incest fics (Touya, obviously) and began reading it. I think I was either trying to figure out why they liked it, or trying to prove to myself it wasn’t that good and ppl were just being weird. Spoiler, I actually REALLY liked it. So much I quickly started to look for more.
That whole transition was 10 minutes or less. Made me think of that one Thomas Sanders vine when the girl comes in to say she can't play video games because she has a paper to do, but ends up playing the game anyway. Except for me, change the quote to "No, incest is bad and- I NEED MORE! How did I get here?" "Don't question it."
Also, Kazooli writes the BEST incest fics. I've read other people's, but they just don't live up to hers or write it in a way I like it (sorry, Mari). I mean @ tomurasprincess's (Mari) newest fic with the A/B/O + soul mate + incest + Todoroki, and Mirror Image, those were good ones that weren't made by Kazooli. But Kaz is just this master at making gross and dark things sound REALLY appealing and hot. And you know it's gross, she definitely writes it so it sounds nasty, but she somehow does it SO GOOD and I don't know how.
So that's how I discovered these two, and this lead to me learning about a bunch of different things. In a way, they and Mari are like the keystones in how I found a lot of my current interests, and the reason I even created this blog in the first place.
Next up! How I discovered Mari's blog and what I came to discover from that!
Next part (link will be posted after I write that next part)

authoritarianism = wanting fic writers to have awareness of what they’re posting and know their potential audience??
literature has been banned (or burned for this matter) because it challenged the societal norms of that time/culture. this doesn’t equate to works of fanfiction depicting things that are morally corrupt to begin with.
what arch, or what lesson, does the reader get from those types of l fics? because all I see is a normalization/sexualization of pedophilia, incest, assault, etc. it would be different if these topics were written as a true experience that victims of these things go through. that’s also why music that corey taylor or jon davis have written cannot be used to justify this; those songs are a reflection of pain, heartache, and anger with the horrible shit that happened to them. the purpose of this is to show the listener that they aren’t alone in their struggle. their music has helped me with so much, especially knowing that both of them are victims of csa as well.
that’s why i’m not a purist, nazi, or whatever the fuck you want to call me. of course we should discuss these topics, but in a more meaningful way. we should take the depravity and hurt in us, and use it to inspire and help others heal.
one more thing- a couple of us, including me, are psychology majors. we know what we’re talking about. please refrain (unless you’re a psych major or a psychologist yourself) from trying to tell us how shit works within the field. (I could literally give you articles spelling out the dangers this shit causes)
have a good life ;))
If you hold amateur artists to a higher standard than professional artists, and you push that double standard as a kind of universal moral stance, and seek to censor and punish those who don't comply, and you don't see how that's absolutely draconian, I can't help you.
For anyone reading: Of all fandoms, Slipknot is one of the stupidest ones to police. Their work is aggressive and violent. It's not tagged or hidden behind consent checks. It isn't created to be educational, and therefore has no instruction. It's perverse, depraved, offensive, and immoral. Their behavior on stage, in real life, is disgusting and violent.
If their gross art is ok, then gross art is ok. Period. You aren't entitled to anyone's motivation, medical history, or trauma receipts. You don't get to hand out and withhold licenses to be gross. No one does. The very concept of creating that authority is oppressive and authoritarian.
If I get to decide who's qualified to make gross art, artists have to choose between giving up privacy and giving up their voice. Anyone who isn't willing to out themselves (a traumatic and dangerous process) doesn't get to speak. Anyone who does has a new set of problems. Bc there's nothing to prevent me from calling them a liar, humiliating them publicly, and still denying them a voice. There's nothing to prevent me from letting ppl write stuff I like and conveniently vetoing stuff I don't like. There's nothing to prevent me from acting on and perpetuating harmful stereotypes (ie men don't get to art bc they can't get raped; Bipoc have to go to extra lengths to prove worthiness bc they're oversexualized and therefore seen as complicit rather than victimized; trans survivors have to do the same bc they're inherently deceptive; m-spec women who are victimized by men made their own bed; date/marital rape doesn't count; hypersexual victims don't count; kinky victims don't count; victims who are sex workers don't count; ppl with non-sexual trauma don't count). There's nothing to prevent me from molding the landscape of art to express a message of my choosing.
A requirement that the gross be "meaningful" is just another way to control art. Who says what's meaningful? Who says what's harmful? What if I say that Duality romanticises self-harm and discourages recovery by painting survivorship as hopeless? What if I say that Disasterpiece is just revenge porn that's trying to normalize necrophilia? Do I get to take them away? Do I get to threaten to take them unless they're re-written to fit my demands?
When art has an agenda, it's not art anymore. It's propaganda. It's manipulative. It strips autonomy and agency. It others, isolates and punishes anyone who doesn't fit, which usually means minorities and ppl who are already vulnerable.
"Why do you do this?" and "What do you get out of it?" are completely and utterly irrelevant. It doesn't matter. It can't matter. Not to authority, not to spectators. No exceptions. The right to create cannot be restricted. The right to consume cannot be restricted.
And no, gross art is not poison. While some ppl cannot safely engage, others can and may need to. The only person who can help you determine how you may be affected is your therapist. Even then, it's still your choice to consume or abstain in peace.
(A rando on the subway is not qualified to tell you if you're lactose intolerant. Even if the rando is a Dr, if they aren't your Dr, they aren't qualified. Even if your Dr confirms that you are, you still have the right to buy and eat ice cream. Diarrhea is yours to have if you choose. Ice cream companies are not required to stop producing it, or to slap it out of your hands. They put "contains milk" on the carton and then it's up to you. You can quite literally kill yourself with ice cream. Even so, no one has the authority to police your consumption or make dilly bars illegal. You don't get to harass me, and I don't get to harass you. That's it. That's the whole thing.)

Y’know, I debated not answering you bc what you sent sounds like the typa shit that attracts unwanted discourse. So if that was your intent (and I mean this with all sincerity): go fuck yourself.
I’m not sure where you got the idea that I’m "still devoted to" C3, esp since the last piece of art I made for that ship was pre-KTGG -- nearly a year ago. That was also the last time, until recently, that I spoke about C3 at all. So ???
I will admit I didn’t answer that ask very thoughtfully when I originally responded -- mostly bc I assumed by now ppl understood my stance on this issue -- so I went back and edited for clarification. However, if you’d read my about page instead of jumping to conclusions, you’d know where I stood.
But since that clearly didn’t happen, I’ll spell it out for you: I used to ship C3. As of right now, I don’t. However, during the time in which I did, I was in the process of building an extensive backstory AU that I am still very much attached to and enjoy creating content for. It was designed specifically to establish Copia as an outsider -- not a member of the Emeritus family -- which has been my view of him since since day fucking one (x).
One scroll through my blog will show you none of this is new. Copia's underdog status plays a vital role in how I draw, write and headcanon him, as well my general attachment to his character. Sure, you can sit there and claim I dreamt all this up for the purpose of shipping, but you'd also be lying out of both sides of your mouth. If my development of this AU was nothing more than ""justification"" for C3, my blog wouldn't be littered with loads of art and comics focused on the rest of the family and their respective dynamics. (x) (x) (x) Not to mention the countless memes and shitposts that have goddamned nothing to do with any of this.
Anyway, for me, an AU only works if you can establish a very clear departure from what's been described in canon. KTGG presented several plot holes I had never previously considered, and these muddied waters made me unsure of how to continue world building. I don't want to publish anything until there are no surprises left, so until we get more official information regarding this lore, I have temporarily pulled the breaks on this project.
Still, none of this is reason to completely dismantle something I've been working on since 2018. Nor does it suddenly make the material itself "problematic". I should be able to keep my AU (C3 storyline or not) without ppl like you accusing me of being some incest-obessed fujoshi simply bc I chose to view the source material in a way you don't personally like.
From last summer forward, every time I’ve been asked about the topic of my AU, the answer never contained any mention of C3 (x) (x) (x) bc I don't currently ship C3. If by "devoted to" you meant "it's on the back burner and also the stove isn't on" then sure, I'm super devoted.
But even if this weren't the case -- even if the amount of currently unanswered questions didn't bother me and I plowed ahead with my story no holes barred, what exactly would my crime be? Why would an AU created to explore the non-canon backstories of Copia (a Catholic orphan) and Papa 1 (his unrelated mentor) suddenly become problematic just bc once in a blue moon a scene appears in which Copia has a boyfriend? Considering all content I've made for C3 sees them as completely unrelated and has also been 100% SFW, what line have I crossed? I know my lane. I'm not mlm (I'm not wlw either, which is what you're trying to peg me as) so I would never create explicit content for a community to which I don't belong. But if you think LGBT+ folks can only make material tailored to their specific identities in order to not be fetishy, then I've got some fuckin news for you and you're not gonna like it.
Anyhoo, I don’t believe for one second that you’re this casual by-standing "outsider" -- not least bc you knew exactly where to find the post where I first addressed the plot twist possibility, but lmfao whatever you say bubs. I also love that you’re on the "outside" while simultaneously in the know about what the fandom collective has decided re: What If Copia Is An Emeritus. You need to get your story straight.
Damn near everyone in this fandom has created some sort of AU -- whether that be a world where they self-ship, a universe in which none of the Papas died, or, I dunno, one full of dragons and dinosaurs :-) The fact that you're specifically honing in on my AU with insane and disgusting out-of-left-field accusations tells me everything I need to know about both you and your motives, so listen very closely: there is nothing wrong with creating an AU that diverts from canon. Despite what you think, viewing Copia as unrelated to the Emeritus family is pretty goddamned normal around here. And considering Tobias obviously wanted us to think of him this way (and let us do so for over a year and a half) it's easy to see why so many ppl prefer that concept to the story we'll probably get.
You are not the boss of me. You are not the judge of my character. You have no authority over me, and you need to stop talking as if you do. Your tone is condescending and sexist -- which is odd, considering you're not speaking to a woman. I'm definitely not a fujoshi, but you quite possibly might be a transphobe. Or is truscum a more accurate way to describe you? :-) Anyways, thanks for that. Getting misgendered in our own inbox? We love to see it.
This is the last time I’ll be addressing this topic. If you have any further questions feel free to call my personal hotline @ 1-800-EAT-MY-ASS.

while we’re at it, imma just list all my discourse-inducing opinions here to get it out of my system
feel free to ask for clarification, unfollow, ignore, etc etc. as long as you aren’t a dick, i’ve got no problems with any of that <3
- asexual + aromantic people are part of the LGBT+ community
- drag isn’t inherently transphobic
- trans women are women and TERFs are bad people
- you can want/ work towards a cure for a condition while respecting people with that condition. it’s sure as shit not ableist to want a cure for your condition
- ableism doesn’t get enough attention and is left out of many social justice movements
- mentally ill ppl need to stop silencing the struggles of physically ill/ disabled ppl for the sake of making a point (i.e. those comics/ videos that show people telling physically disabled people to just ‘walk it off’ or ‘just try yoga’ to try and highlight how wrong it is to do that to mentally ill people)
- ideally, we should all work towards eating less meat and fewer animal products. you aren’t a bad person for not doing this, but you are kind of an asshole if you mock vegetarians/ vegans
- climate change is a fuck-off huge problem and we all need to be panicking about it a lot more than we are
- people with paedophillia who have never offended and want to get better deserve help and support, not hatred and death threats
- OCD is still very poorly understood and rarely portrayed correctly by the media and I really wish there was more shown of the obsessive side of it
- using mental illnesses as adjectives (’can we change the volume to an even number? sorry, I’m OCD about that’; using ‘anorexic’ to mean ‘skinny’; misuse of the term ‘psychotic’) is a bad thing to do. it’s not language evolving, it’s misusing terms in an offensive way that belittles mental illness
- the mental illness advocacy movement needs to push awareness of less ‘acceptable’ conditions. i want stuff on psychosis, bipolar disorder, severe OCD, personality disorders, intermittent explosive disorder, addictions, binge-eating disorder. i’m sick of advocacy being for skinny white girls in big grey jumpers with anxiety and depression. don’t get me wrong, those girls deserve support (hell, i am one of them). but goddamn, advocacy cannot work by putting your ‘prettiest’ issues forwards and hiding the ones at the back that are harder to dress up
- i’ve basically never encountered a well-written anorexic character (bar maybe Tix from MMFD) and I very much wish people without eating disorders would do a LOT more research before attempting to write them
- asking for a source/ fact-checking is in no way a bad or offensive thing. ‘jfc couldn’t you just google it?’ doesn’t work when the burden of proof is on you
- feminism is equal rights for all genders. men’s problems deserve help & attention, but not in a way that overrides or ignores women’s problems. the same is true of the opposite. that being said, feminism focuses on women because more often than not, it’s women are being looked down on and treated poorly.
- donald trump is a dangerous and stupid man and i really can’t believe he is the president, what the literal fuck
- the tories are dangerous and i loathe theresa may
- calling women whores, sluts etc is slut-shaming and basically never necessary. ‘bitch’ is a hilarious word when used appropriately (see: Aaron Paul, Glenn Howerton) and is awful in its standard use of meaning ‘any woman who dares speak her mind’. i prefer to reserve the use of ‘cunt’ for people who have hit a significant level of evil. there are very few people who have met this for me, but katie hopkins is one
- the daily mail should be shut the fuck down
- brexit is an awful fucking idea
- if you cannot take care of a pet adequately for whatever reason, you should take action to get the pet to a home where it can be taken care of well. pets are a privilege, not a right.
- there is no real need for white people to have a significant voice in discussions about racism
- pornography is like alcohol: in an ideal world, it wouldn’t really exist/ be used, but we aren’t in that world. most people can use it in moderation and not have a problem with it; some people become addicted to it, and they deserve support to overcome that.
- addiction is a disease and addicts deserve support & help. you can become addicted to essentially anything, and making fun of people for their addictions makes you kind of shitty
- mental illness is an explanation for poor behaviour, not an excuse. if you did a fucked-up thing due to anxiety or depression or mood swings, you still need to accept responsibility and apologise
- if alcohol and tobacco are legal, weed should be legal. legal does not mean ‘this has no risks and everyone should do it’- it means people should be able to make their own choices about whether or not they want to use it, based on actual fact and reason and not heavily biased anti-drug sources
- family is chosen. ‘blood’ and ‘shared DNA’ means very little. you are under no obligation to ever stick with an abuser.
- prostitution has always existed and always will. it should be legalised and regulated, and the people working in it should be protected
- the demonisation of sex workers is very fucked up. you can’t demand a service (e.g. watching porn) while demonising/ belittling the people who provide it (see also: fast food service)
- if two consenting adults want to do something in private, they can go ahead and do it. i’m not into policing how people fuck. if a grown woman wants to get tied up and spanked, it’s patronising and offensive for me to start lecturing about how her childhood and mental illness might have influenced her choices.
- incest ships weird me out, but like, you do you.
- marketing food as ‘guilt-free!’ or ‘sinful...’ is gross and implies eating is a moral choice, which it never is
- goat’s cheese is awful. just awful.
- you can basically cook anything and everything at 200C
- crocs are the worst shoes to ever be invented
- skyler white deserved so much better

Honestly, how does ppl shipping j*lec romantically ruin their BROTP for you? How does it affect you personally what other ppl do or do not ship? Also has it ever occurred to you that some ppl may ship it in a fandom space, but as far as canon is concerned they just love and enjoy the parabatai relationship? Cause those ppl exist too? Good god, if y'all stopped paying so much attention to how OTHERS do fandom and just enjoyed the thing you love, fandom would be way less stressful for everyone.
The short version, Anon? Because it simply makes me uncomfortable.
Longer version? Alright. Usually, I don’t care what you ship. Seriously, I really don’t. In all these years I’ve been in any kind of fandom, I never did. I may have rolled my eyes at certain ships and be like….seriously? But I never said that you can’t ship what you want. And I still stand by this opinion tbh.
So if you ship Jace and Alec romantically? Whatever. If it makes you happy, go ahead. Please. I never said you can’t. But I do believe it is allowed to say that I don’t like it, right? Because that’s simply what I am saying here. And nothing else.
Basically, my “problem” is that I don’t have anything against people who ship Jace and Alec in a romantic way. I just find it highly disturbing how some of these shippers act, you know? Because I know f.e. that a lot of gif makers/fanartists don’t create Clary and Alec stuff f.e. because they fear that the Clalec shippers will use it to justify their romantic!Clalec dreams like…look they are so much in love. They clearly hate each other….but sure, they love each other so deeply—even though they wanna strangle each other.
Same with Jace and Alec. To me, they always were and are brothers. Parabatai. Who love each other. True. But not on a romantic level. The end. But I think what really kinda “bothers” me is the fact that imho they are also kind of related. I don’t wanna say it is incest (as with Clary/Sebastian) but … yeah… those who read the books know what I am refering to. It’s just makes me uncomfortable to a certain point.
Trust me, Anon, I am seriously hoping that the reason Alec wakes up this Monday is because his parabatai is back. That Jace hugging Alec will bring him back. Like I said, it is between the two of them… so yeah… BUT I also know that there are people in this fandom who be like (if it happens this way that is!)… “oh look… Magnus is not Alec’s true love, it’s Jace. Look! He brought him back. It just shows that they love each other. Fuck Magnus, the damn predator…blahblahblah.”
THIS is what annoys me. Belittling another character or erasing someone’s sexuality to validate your romantic!ship.
THAT’S what I mean with them ruining my brotp.
Most of the time, I simply ignore this because it is just BS in my eyes. I am also not scared that Jace and Alec might end Malec. Because Malec is endgame. It is so much endgame, I don’t know what to call it tbh.
And honestly? I don’t even wanna have this discourse with you here to begin with. Because like I stated before, you can ship what you want. I don’t care and I never said one bad word against it. All I am saying is, that I don’t like it and that some people ruin f.e. the wonderful parabatai brotp ship for others because how they act—since they are so desperate to validate their ship. And this has nothing to do with paying attention or whatever, it is there. If you want to believe it or not. Sometimes you can’t even avoid it. And trust me, I so want to avoid it. I have enough to deal with real life. I don’t need this.
