His background explains so much! The fact that he had to teach himself basically everything explains why he has no morals/empathy that’s something you learn from others and clearly his creator didn’t give a crap about him.

Y E S !!!!! I've got so many. I'm sorry it took so long, I was figuring out how much info was too much.

I think he's kind of a contradiction. I'll divide this in three sections: younger eclipse, older eclipse, and core personality; I'll start with this one.

In ways of thinking, I guess he could be called an opportunist. He goes with the flow of events, picking things on his way, no matter if they appear important or not; information, people, places. It doesn't matter, everything has its uses sooner or later, and Eclipse likes to be prepared. He wouldn't risk going out of his way to get something unless he really wanted it. (ex. y/n)

As an opportunist, he doesn't care much for morals. Sure, he know what they are and how they work, but he simply can't bother with them; those things are for peasants

He's really possessive and jealous.

Younger Eclipse

When he was forged, he was pretty much ignored by his creator. New to life, he follows the creator around, collecting everything he says, even though he doesn't understand.

He associates the things his creator says and do; he teaches himself how to speak, write, read. The more he learns, the less he likes the man.

Imagine his surprise when he learns that his name, Rubbish, isn't so nice. He doesn't appreciate being called junk either, now that he know what it means.

When he learns of the newer, smaller robots the man made, it's then when he loses it.

They are not called scrap, or garbage, or anything bad. NO! They have they're own name. Sun and Moon; so similar to him, but so much weaker.

Hates when they come to him, but plays the role of big brother just to spite the man that tells them not to play with trash. They call him Eclipse; he much prefers that name to the other ones.

He doesn't feel regret for what he did.

Older Eclipse

Uses intimidation a lot. Perhaps insecurity, perhaps the feeling of superiority, no one will know, but it's really effective.

While not a fan of clothes (they make him overheat and really hard to cool off in), he makes sure to wear suits of only the best quality. He was never given the choice when he was forged, and grew to resent the fact that his weak bootlegs did. It's his way to spite his deceased creator.

Speaking of heat, he's like a furnace. It heats up when he gets angry or too emotional. If he heats up too much, his outer casing will start to melt, starting with his face. It isn't fatal, but it is a disturbing image. He can cool off naturally, but it takes too long in his opinion, so he'll go cool of in the lake.

In the occasions his face has melted, he has a stash somewhere hidden, custom made by the best local smith a.k.a Y/N (they didn't know at the time that they were making them for him; they've had they're fair share of weird request and the customer had paid in advance, they weren't gonna question it)

He likes to eat metal. Straight up pick beams and eat them. It fuels him, in a way, though he has no need for it. He likes to do it to unsettle people. It helps get rid of evidence, also :)
