5th grade kip was so right when they wrote "it's over" about dreaming of being an author professionally when they were older. not because of financial instability though. i mean yes that, but because it took me six hours to write a few meager little paragraphs

#i already had so much respect for authors and fanfic writers alike but every time i try to write that respect grows tbh #also are there like. concrete ways to improve your writing? bc there's like Practice you can do to get better at art and music #but idk about writing? like in the way that you can learn scales in music or do anatomical studies in art is there a writing equivalent?#i can write lit crit and analysis just fine but creative writing eludes me sometimes #i'm still trying bc it's fun and i really reeeallllyyy want this thing to exist #for my eyes only basically. it's never seeing the light of day but i am having fun #also i have to find the journal this was written in bc i do yearly entries in there and i don't think i've made one this year yet?#also not sure if ive updated it since before crow and i got together #much to consider #if you've read this far and you have stuff you do for writing practice. consider leaving it in the replies? thanks #kip feels chatty #writing
