“Is it a crime that you call your dog the same pet name —” Gigi pauses at this, glaring at Jackie, daring herself to go there, “that turns you into a horny mess? Not exactly, but it’s fucking weird, Jacks.”

“I thought you liked Polly.”

“I love Polly, but that’s not the point!”

“And I thought you liked talking dirty to me.”

“I do,” Gigi sighs, “especially when you talk back.”

“So what are we arguing about?” Jackie grimaces at her pathetic attempt of a dodge, hoping it’ll work.

“We’re not arguing,” Gigi groans, “you’re just a filthy, freaky little shit.”

“I thought you liked that about me.”

“I like everything about you, you idiot.” Gigi’s lips curve into a smile. Jackie smiles back, warmth spreading in her chest.
