Sooo since we finally got the sonadow au kiss...
Will there be anything for valentine's day?
Gonna be very honest, I never gave two flying FUCKS about that holiday. It's cute and all but I don't think there will be a post for that day specifically.
You can just take the kiss short comic as ur valentine gift since I haven't really emphasized their romance in a strong way until now.

Wandavision Ep 6 Spoilers
No really, spoilers.
Previously on Wandavision — Wanda told SWORD to shove their drones right straight up their asses, Vision woke up to the reality that his utopian sitcom life was in fact a dystopian hellscape, their children were extremely creepy, and Agnes was being bizarre as hell and super sus. In the real world, Acting Director Dick was a dick, and Darcy and Jimmy welcomed Monica into their sciencey weird-crime-fighting team. Monica also mentioned an aerospace engineer she knows, which some suggest may be the first mention of Reed Richards in the MCU. I have conflicted feelings about the Fantastic Four. Mostly I never liked them. But, I'm open to revising my opinion.
Oh, and also X-Men 'Verse Pietro showed up suddenly and that was fun.
Anyway. the roommate and I tried to sort out a timeline — so Monica unBlips and goes back to work at SWORD three weeks later. AD Dick tells us Wanda stole Vision's body nine days previously. That means, just three weeks ago Wanda was in the middle of a battle, lost her boyfriend, was Snapped, was then unsnapped to fall right into the middle of another battle. Lost THREE additional teammates. And then sometime in the following week found out a shady government agency had Vision's body and she probably went "OH HELL NO". Because that's what I would say. So she goes to SWORD, dents a few doors, takes Vision's body and swans off to New Jersey. Look, she's been through a hell of a lot in the last couple weeks, is what I'm saying. I don't blame her a tiny bit. But, also, I don't think she's entirely behind this.
10-year old boy plus video camera = the 90s. Obnoxious opening credits. But, you know, I kind of liked them (as a one off). WAYYY better than last week's.
It's Halloween, and *sigh* Billy is breaking the fourth wall and narrating to the camera. There's childish twin bickering as you expect, Tommy's the wild and crazy twin, and Billy's the buttoned up twin. And Pietro is passed out on the couch at 4 in the afternoon. Living his best life. He teasingly scares the boys, chases them around, and there's awkward child acting.
Wanda comes down the stairs in the classic Scarlet Witch costume, and says she's a Sokovian Fortune Teller. Sokovia was more wild than I realized.
Genuinely funny flashback to Wanda and Pietro trick-or-treating in Sokovia as kids, 'the year we got typhus'. lol. Was it the fish that gave them typhus? Or was that just a special treat? Wanda doubts this version of events, and Pietro suggests she suppressed the memory due to the trauma. This gives Billy the chance to tell the camera that mom's been weird since uncle Pietro turned up to crash on their couch.
Next it's Vision's turn to appear in the classic Vision costume. Yikes. Wanda thanks him for humoring her, and he says there were no other clothes in his closet and they have a very weird second where he's not playing along and she's not sure what to do, and then he breaks into sitcom character says something about "just kidding, i know how much you love mexican wrestling" like it's a luchador costume, and then there's some super weird flirting. TMI you two.
Meanwhile, Pietro is a large child and the kids love him, of course. So there's that.
Back to Wanda and Vision, she's ready to take the kids out trick-or-treating, but Vision says he can't go, he's on the neighborhood watch and must patrol the streets ever-vigilant for wild gangs of child hooligans who might TP trees. He's gone off-script and it takes Wanda a second to figure out how to play this. She says it's the boys' first Halloween so he has to be there. Pietro breaks up the almost argument and says he can be a father figure-type and he'll help with the boys. Vision's still pretty off-script but Wanda doesn't fight it but looks uncertain, and he goes off to protect the night — or early afternoon.
Pietro is a child hooligan and wants to go do hooligany things with the kids. Wanda says he doesn't have a costume and he grabs Billy and they speed off only to return dressed in classic Quicksilver duds. Well, cheap-looking, thrown together Quicksilver duds. I laughed. The hair. lol. Good one.
Outside in the real world. The Hex field is still kind of glowing red and making bad force field noises. It only started doing that when Wanda got pissed in the last ep. Oh, goody, it's Acting Director Dick. I've learned his name is Hayward. I don't care.
Blah blah Stompy Mc-I'm-In-Charge blah. Monica is not pleased about the whole trying to kill Wanda with a missile while she was talking to her plan. AD Dick just says "now we know who we're dealing with". Um … what? You tried to kill her and her response was to tell you to go away. Yeah, boy, she's a monster.
Darcy is there to helpfully remind AD Dick that Wanda made him look like the fool he is. ILU girl. "Hey, there he is; the guy who almost got murdered by his own murder squad." Jimmy just makes a 'i'm so disappointed in you and your choices' face at him in the background.
I despise characters like Hayward. They are so tedious. Narratively they are there to incite conflict, but given the situation conflict naturally exists, surely there are other ways to bring up/drive that tension without the trope of the government heavy ready to solve the problem with the most extreme amount of force available to him. OH no! Our plucky heroes will have to find a way to save the day and fight the Man! Can they do it? Boring. It's too bad General Talbot went insane and then died; he could probably give tips on How Not To Be That Guy.
Anyway
Hayward wants to know if Darcy works for him and she's like "dunno my dude", Monica claims her, AD Dick says "which one of you is the sassy best friend" and Jimmy's like, that is quite enough Acting Director Not Very Nice Man. "There's no time to diminish your colleagues when you're about to start a war you can't win." AD Dick just wants to take out Wanda so the whole nightmare ends. Monica's like um, we literally do not know what's going on. Like, for real we have no clue. So that might not, in fact, end the nightmare, Director Murder Britches.
They argue a lot and Director Dick goes off the rails. Dude's like more unhinged than seems warranted. Unless he's just so embarrassed that he pissed himself when Wanda returned his murder drone to him, he's decided SHE MUST BE DESTROYED FOR THE GOOD OF … NEW JERSEY AND MY SOILED UNDERWEAR OR SOMETHING.
"Captain Rambeau, you are an impediment to this mission!" Oh no! He's gonna tell her all about how hard it was to survive in a post-blip world, all those lucky blipped don't know what it was like! You just can't understand! Monica tells him not to use that as an excuse to be a coward. I'm so bored with this scene. Let me guess, the trio will have to go behind his back to save the day.
"Maybe it's a good thing you weren't here with your mother died. Because, clearly you don't have the stomach for this job." … non-sequitur much? Or is he saying she would have inherited the Director-ship (which should probably not be how that sort of agency works, let's be real). Is this scene five hours long, or does it just feel that way?
The Dick banishes the trio from his base.
"Hayward is way over-stepping his provisional authority". Jimmy Woo, you're so great. Monica says he's up to something. Yeah a tactical nuke and murder. Clearly he doesn't want to actually solve the problem, he just wants the problem to go away with a big show of macho explosions and whatnot. I suspect he might be in over his head, like he was not meant to be Acting Director, let alone Director. Also, he's a boring cliche stereotype and I loathe it.
JIMMY! I legit did not see that coming. He just pure hauls off and clocks one of the soldiers escorting them off the base, to a transport truck or something. Monica seems just as surprised for a second but then she's like "hell yeah!" and jumps in. Darcy sort of stands back and watches. lol. "Why didn't anyone tell me the plan?"
Oh look, it's my shipping container! They put the soldiers in there. Guys, it was for Hayward. Come on.
The trio disguise themselves with ponchos, which is a big step up from the usual MCU disguise of "baseball hat". That was a good bit in Ant-man and the Wasp "it's not a disguise, it just looks like us at a baseball game" (I watched that like last week. I missed Luis). Anyway …
Back in the sitcom world. The kids are ready for their early afternoon trick-or-treating. They're still talking to the camera. It's so awkward. I'm not a fan. I get it's meant to reproduce the very 90s Nick-era sitcoms and so, you know, it's spot on. Still, though.
Pietro is encouraging and supportive. "Unleash hell, demon spawn!"
Dang there are a lot of kids in that neighborhood. Wasn't Vision wondering last episode why there weren't any kids? Is the program correcting itself?
Wanda tries to test Pietro, asking him about some kid at an orphanage when they were kids. Pietro calls her on it, and says he knows he looks different. Wanda wants to know why that is. He says, "You tell me. I mean, if I found shangra-la, I wouldn't want to be reminded of the past, either." Hmm.
The kids speed off with uncle Pietro. Wanda wanders over to talk to neighbor Herb, who has a g-man earbud in and is clearly part of the neighborhood watch. In the background Pietro is stealing all the candy and smashing pumpkins and spraying the place with silly string. The hijinks are so wacky. Wanda tells Herb maybe Vision can help out with the chaos, and Herb says Vision isn't on duty. Oh no, he lied to her!
Herb goes weird "is there something I can do for you, Wanda? Do you want something changed?" Hmmm.
Elsewhere Vision is wandering the wild streets of Westview. He finds people caught in some type of weird decorating loop, the woman seems trapped but aware.
Commercial time! What the fuck was that. "Yo-magic! The snack for survivors." No, really, what the fuck.
Night has fallen, the twins and the twins walk the streets. Wanda's making the boys give back all the candy they stole. She says Pietro is a bad influence. He says "I'm just trying to do my part, kay? Come to town unexpectedly, create tension with the brother-in-law, stir up trouble with the rugrats, and ultimately give you grief. I mean, that's what you wanted, isn't it?"
"What happened to your accent?"
"What happened to yours? Details are fuzzy, man. I got shot like a chump in the street for no reason." AHAHAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHA! no really AHAHAHAHAAH! Thank you, Pietro! Holy shit, perfect. That's some delicious shade. I expect to see this gif'd fifteen different ways when I load tumblr today.
"Next thing I know, I heard you calling me. I knew you needed me."
The kids interrupt. And now all of a sudden Tommy can zoom. Character development!
Everyone is so careful to give Wanda what she wants. Why? She's not cruel. Who wants to keep her pacified? And whoever it is cannot possibly be pleased with AD Dick messing things up. Assuming it's an outside or outside-ish force/entity, of course. I mean, I don't think she's doing this entirely, she might be the battery powering it, but despite her thing last episode to get SWORD to leave her alone, she does seem a little confused about the where, why, and how things are going.
"Don't go past Ellis Avenue." Just a kid thing or a boundary of the sitcom control world?
In the real world, our heroes are sneaking through a tent city and into the server room. The scene with Pietro and Wanda discussing his accent is playing in the background. Darcy seems put-out that Pietro was recast. lol. "He brought the wrong face."
Darcy hacks into Hayward's devices. "Hayward figured out a way to look through the boundary." "And he didn't share it with the group." I don't like Hayward.
Something is blipping on the map on the computer. Jimmy asks if it's Wanda, but Darcy says "it's tracking the decay signature of vibranium". So Vision. Monica wants to know why Hayward is tracking Vision. Well, I'd super like to know what SWORD was doing with Vision in the first place, because they weren't just storing him, they were doing something. So …
Jimmy notices that there are other dots, the ones closest to Vision, who are other residents. Jimmy says the ones near the edge of town are barely moving.
Back to Vision. He's found a cul-de-sac to patrol. Everybody's frozen in place, the street lights flicker. Eerie. They're all dressed for Halloween. Does this mean the field is shrinking, or the effects spreading and so it's closing in, slowing and then freezing people who were earlier moving about just fine? Vision is unaffected by this whatever it is. He turns himself into himself and flies off, up above the town. part of the town is dark, and part alive with voices and laughter.
He spots a car at the edge of town. It's Agnes. She seems frozen-ish, but when he asks what she's doing there, she says "Town Square Scare. Where is it?" all robotic like. Vision helpfully tries to give directions. lol. "Took a wrong turn, got lost" she says.
Vision touches her head and she wakes up. "You! You're one of the Avengers. You're Vision. Are you here to help us?" "I am Vision. I do want to help. But, what's an Avenger?"
Hmm. Well, I guess he did say last week that he couldn't remember anything before Westview.
"Am I dead?" she asks. "No, why would you think that?" "Because you are."
What was news coverage after the Snap like, do you suppose? I mean, ridiculous, of course. But, like, I think they had bigger problems then wondering about snapped/dead Avengers, didn't they? Well, maybe not. "WHERE ARE AVENGERS TO HELP US?" or "HOW DARE THE AVENGERS NOT HELP US!" "TOTALLY THIS IS ON THE AVENGERS!" "WE'D ALL BE DEAD WITHOUT THE AVENGERS!" "NUHUH! BOO AVENGERS!" "EXCEPT VISION WHO DIED HEROICALLY, WE ALL LIKE THAT AVENGER!" "TONY STARK AND PEPPER POTTS SHARE THE DECORATING TIPS THAT TRANSFORMED THEIR RUSTIC RESTORATION PROJECT INTO A CHARMING FAMILY HOME".
Agnes starts screaming "Dead" at Vision. She's not coping well. Vision says he's going to try and reach outside town and try to figure this all out. "How? No one leaves. Wanda won't even let us think about it." I SUSPECT YOU, AGNES! Why would Wanda keep everybody trapped and miserable? I could see if she did it on accident, but this implies she's purposefully hurting people. I don't buy it. Agnes, again, seems to be in the right place at the right time to make Vision doubt Wanda. You're a very suspicious character, Agnes.
She starts to laugh. "All is lost." Vision touches her had and she resets to sitcom Agnes. Somehow she can move again, she turns the car around on Ellis Ave and heads back into town. So, that answers that.
Vision walks across the Eillis Ave to the field beyond.
Meanwhile, Darcy continues to hack. Monica gets a text and says "that's it! My way back into the Hex will be here in an hour." Jimmy's all ready to boost a ride to take her to meet her aerospace buddy. But, Darcy says, nope. Can't do it. Monica's been through the Hex twice, and it's rewritten her cells. "It's changing you." Monica is undaunted. "I know what Wanda's feeling and I won't stop until I help her." Alrighty then.
Jimmy's finally going to get to hotwire a car! But wait, Darcy's not going with them. AD Dick has something hidden behind one last firewall. Darcy thinks it's big and can help them. She's going to find it.
I don't think Jimmy had to hotwire that humvee. It just started right up. Motorpool, pfft - they always leave the keys.
Back in Westview. Halloween continues at Town Square. Pietro asks Wanda where she was hiding all those kids. Whu? Says Wanda. "I assume they were all just sleeping peacefully in their beds. No need to traumatize beyond the occasional holiday cameo, amiright?" What is Pietro. "Hey don't get me wrong, you've handled the ethical considerations of this scenario as best you could. Families and couples stay together. Most personalities aren't far from what's underneath. People got better jobs. Better haircuts for sure."
"You don't think it's wrong?"
"Are you kidding me? I'm impressed. It's a pretty big leap from giving people nightmares and shooting red wigglywoos out your hands." No, really, what is Pietro? "How'd you even do all this?" Hmmm.
"I don't know how I did it. I only remember feeling completely alone. Empty. Just endless nothingness." She looks back at Pietro and for a second he's dead Pietro. Poor Wanda.
Darcy continues to hack Hayward's systems. Cataract classified weapons something something. They're still tracking Vision. Who continues his walk across the field and comes to the hex. He tries to push through it. Looks painful. SWORD rolls out to go overreact at him. He makes it through the barrier, kind of. It's a struggle.
Hayward standing there looking like a jackass "he really does want out, doesn't he?" Like he’s just amused by this turn of events, or watching a lab rat try to get out of the lab.
Darcy's standing behind watching all of this. Bits of Vision sort of fly off and back into the Hex. Darcy says "oh no!" and runs towards him, screaming for them to help him. Way to give away your sneaky hiding, girlfriend.
In Westview. Billy looks up, he can hear what's going on outside. "I hear daddy in my head. He's in trouble."
Vision calls for help, while SWORD prioritizes arresting Darcy. Phil Coulson would never have behaved like this. Boo to SWORD. Vision is dissolving. It's kind of gross and sad.
Wanda asks where Vision is, and Pietro interrupts "Don't sweat it, sis. It's not like your dead husband can die twice." Wanda wallops him with some red wigglywoos.
Billy sees soldiers and thinks Vision is dying. Wanda stops everything and makes a big red boom. The Hex appears to be expanding. Whoops, now you've done it AD Dick. He runs away like the brave brave guy he is. They leave Darcy handcuffed to a jeep. "Are you serious right now?"
The Hex overtakes Vision and then Darcy. Trapped soldiers become clowns, and we're in the circus. Well, SWORD seems like a circus, so Wanda's not wrong. I'm pretty sure Jimmy and Monica made it, but sadly the bravest Director who ever braved also escaped. He deserved to be a circus clown. Better luck next week, Wanda.
Credits.
Well, I just don't know anymore.
Hayward doesn't care about Wanda, except where I think because of this someone will figure out what he was doing to Vision's body. And Vision is ultimately the thing he cares about in all this. I hope Wanda drops a house on him.
Hmmm.
Quit suggesting I watch Age of Ultron next, Disney. It’s not happening.

My Top 10 Games of 2019
It was pretty hard to narrow down the list this year. 2019 was a lot stronger for video games than 2018 and I feel a LOT more confidant about my picks and GOTY choice. In addition, there were also a lot of indie games not mentioned here that I think I will highlight in another post a bit later. For now, here’s the Top 10.
10. Sayonara Wild Hearts (Simogo)

Sayonara Wild Hearts is something special. Although clocking in rather short at just under an hour long, I would best describe the game as an Album Video Game. Each of the game’s 23 or so levels has its own song. The actual gameplay consists of mostly on-rails segments where you have basic movement and avoid obstacles and collect pickups to boost your score, but every level has a unique take on that concept with major climax levels being full tracks with vocals. It’s incredibly stylistic and tells a heartwarming story about dealing with heartbreak. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys musical games.
9. Fire Emblem: Three Houses (Intelligent Systems)

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the first game in the series that managed to grab me. It’s a very competent tactical RPG with one of my favourite casts of characters this year (especially the Black Eagles house). I was consistently impressed the most with just the sheer amount of content and detail that went into it. An unnecessarily large amount of the dialogue is voiced, the second half of each of the three selectable house’s routes are totally unique, and each route takes around 60 hours to complete. I really never thought a Fire Emblem game would be my new most played game on the Switch by a mile but here we are.
8. AI: The Somnium Files (Spike Chunsoft)

Kotaro Uchikoshi’s (creator of the Zero Escape trilogy) latest work might be his finest. AI: The Somnium Files is the game on the list this year with the most heart put into it. Consistently funny and over-the-top, a wonderful cast, and a really well executed sci-fi murder mystery. It makes me hope that Uchikoshi continues to make the kinds of games he wants to make, because you can definitely tell he had the most fun making this one.
7. Resident Evil 2 (Capcom)
Resident Evil 2 is the new gold standard for game remakes. I could go on and on praising it for how good it feels to play, the sound design, and the painstaking detail of recreating the original game from the ground up to be a third-person shooter. Quality of Life changes like the map marking items and telling you when a room is cleared and telling you when it’s okay to throw away key items are such fantastic additions. It gives me really high hopes for the RE3 Remake next year. Capcom’s hotstreak continues.
6. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (From Software)
Sekiro rightfully earns its spot as my second favourite FromSoft game. The Souls formula is still there, but the gameplay is fairly different now. Taking Bloodborne’s aggressiveness encouragement another step forward, Sekiro rewards not giving the enemies a chance to breathe more than ever. Boss battles are a tug-of-war of trying to break each other’s posture and perfect blocking to mitigate it. The dodge button pushes you forward by default and you often hope to have your attack blocked more than a it be a direct hit. Some of my favourite FromSoft bosses reside in this game with the final boss perhaps being my favourite overall. Level design is also at its best with the game finally giving you a greater range of movement and verticality with jumping and grappling. There’s even decent stealth mechanics. Sekiro was a really pleasant surprise and I hope they continue The Wolf’s story.
5. Judgement (Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio)
Judgement is a Yakuza game in all but name, and RGG Studio’s first one set in Kamurocho without Kiryu as the main character. After giving up being an attorney, Takayuki Yagami becomes a freelance detective and investigates a series of murders in the city with the help of his former law office and ex-Tojo clan friend Masaharu Kaito. Substories are framed as side cases that Yagami can take on to earn some extra money, and new mini-games like drone racing and the Paradise VR board game are incredible additions. Anyone who is a fan of the Yakuza series should really check this out, and newcomers can jump right in without prior knowledge.
4. Disco Elysium (ZA/UM)

Disco Elysium has some of the best writing I have ever seen in a video game. As an amnesiac detective, you explore the rundown post-wartime district of Martinnaise trying to find who was behind the lynching of a mercenary before the situation gets out of control. What sets Disco Elysium apart from other RPGs in terms of gameplay is its character builds. As there is no combat, the 24 skills that you can put points into when you level up are all social skills. The higher you have various skills leveled, the more you will hear advice from them during conversation trees. A high Authority level will constantly remind you to tell people you are The Law, where a high level in Inland Empire will let you talk to inanimate objects to gain new perspectives. I also feel I have to give a nod to your partner throughout the game, Kim Kitsuragi. I’d rather not give anything away but they could not have written a better character to support you throughout your journey. I’ll likely be thinking about this game for a very long time.
3. Control (Remedy Entertainment)
I think Control flew under a lot of people’s radars until the publicity from the overwhelming number of Game Awards nominations. Control is a game for people who like SCP, psychokinesis powers, cool architecture, and a bit of Alan Wake. It wears its inspirations very blatantly on its sleeve and wraps a very cool story and even better side quests around them. It’s very stylish and has phenomenal lighting. Perhaps this is my Remedy bias but I really really adored this game and featured the coolest moment of the year for me. Please check it out if you get the opportunity.
2. Kingdom Hearts III (Square Enix)
Kingdom Hearts III has been a long time coming and what I think it nails best are the size and scale of the worlds. Olympus is the best its ever been with how much of the area outside the Colosseum you get to explore. The Caribbean is more expansive with boat combat that’s better than it has any right to be. Monstropolis has a great original story with some incredible tie-ins to the Kingdom Hearts plot. There’s a ton of incredible fanservice moments too for everyone waiting to see their favourite characters again. I still think a lot of it is really hype albeit cheesy, and it finally puts to rest an arc that has been going since the very first game. Kingdom Hearts isn’t over, but KHIII wraps a lot of things up in as satisfying of a way as they could for a story so expansive and often times convoluted. It’s very rare when a game that has been anticipated for so long not only doesn’t fumble it, but delivers on what I had hoped for, so I’m really glad it got to finally release this year.
1. Devil May Cry 5 (Capcom)
Speaking of games that I’ve been waiting a very long time for, DMC IS BACK! Every moment of DMC5 is a treat. Dante and Nero are at their most fun to play in this game, and V is a very cool addition both story-wise and gameplay-wise.This is the game from this year that I’ve kept going back to the most whether it’s for getting good at harder difficulties, or playing through bloody palace until floor 70 and give up ,or practicing with different weapons. It makes me happy to know that Platinum haven’t just been relegated to being the character action studio and that Hideaki Itsuno’s still got it. There’s no question that this is my Game of the Year and anyone who loves action games but hasn’t ever jumped into this series really needs to address that because DMC5 alone is worth it.
That’s all for my GOTY 2019 Top 10. If you’ve read this far, thanks for doing so. I really enjoy writing these and there’s a lot to look forward to in video games next March year, so please join me again next time when we can do this all over again!

Summary: Izuku gets his cat, Katsuki and Izuku get attacked, and Dad! What the hell!?!
~-~
Izuku was sitting at his desk next to the window listening to the teacher drone on about Japan’s history. The bell soon rang and he got up and walked over to Katsuki’s desk. Katsuki was packing up his notes and text book. When he was finished, they started to head to their next class.
“Hey, you ready for our next class?” Izuku asked. Katsuki continued to look straight ahead as he answered.
“Fuck yeah. I can’t believe all of the shitty extras in our class want to become fucking heroes with their lame ass quirks.” Izuku shrugged and looked out a window they were passing. Soon they reached their destination and went to go sit down. In this class, both Izuku and Katsuki’s seats were right next to the windows.
Katsuki had pointed out earlier in the year that they were sitting in the so-called “protagonist seats” like they were in some “shitty manga.” Izuku was rather fond of manga and anime but the ones he read or watched were mainly on All Might.
Soon the teacher walked in and the bell rang signaling all the students to go sit down. The teacher pulled out a stack of papers from his desk and walked to the front of the classroom. He held the stack of papers out in front of him.
"I would hand these out, but I know that all of you want to be heroes," the teacher said. He threw the pile of papers up in the air and the class went wild displaying their quirks. As soon as the chaos started someone spoke up.
“Don’t group me in with these extras sensei,” Katsuki sneered. The whole class went quiet and turned to stare at him. “I aced all the mock tests and I’m going to the best hero school in this country, UA." Izuku had his arms crossed on his desk, creating a cradle for his head. He was observing the chaos in the classroom and rolled his eyes when Katsuki spoke up. The class once again erupted into noise. The teacher just huffed and turned to Izuku.
"Midoriya, don’t you also want to go to UA?" the teacher questioned. Everyone turned in unison to stare at Izuku. It went from super loud to super quiet so fast Izuku had ringing in his ears. One kid who had an extremely long nose and hair covering his eyes broke the silence.
"How will he even be accepted into UA if they don't accept people without cats ?" The whole class started to mumble in agreement. Izuku had a spike of fear shoot through him but he clamped down on it fast and put up a placid facade.
"You guys know I have a cat, right?" Izuku lied. "Also, they got rid of that rule." Many students raised their eyebrows at him or snickered.
"Sure," another kid said sarcastically. Izuku watched Katsuki get up from his desk and walk over to the poor student who said that. He slammed his hand onto the kid's desk and activated his quirk, burning the top of the desk. The kid fell backwards out of his chair. The whole class and the teacher watched all of this happen with no interference.
"Whether Izuku has a cat or not doesn't matter,” Katsuki yelled at the student. “What matters is whether he is hero material unlike you shitty extras. UA will accept him whether they like it or not, so you can shut the fuck up about Izuku not having a cat!" Katsuki looked a little out of breath from going off on the student. Izuku got up and stepped in before Katsuki murdered the student.
"Katsuki, stop destroying the school's property before you get punished,” Izuku said. “You know you didn't have to defend me, right? I could beat them easily if I wanted to." The rest of the class sweatdropped and Katsuki backed off. The teacher looked slightly shaken at Katsuki’s outburst and was trying to compose himself before speaking.
"All right class, settle down," the teacher said with a slightly shaky voice. "Bakugo, Midoryia, please take your seats." Katsuki glared at the kid but took his seat reluctantly. Izuku noticed as they sat down there was a slight blush on Katsuki’s face.
~-~
Izuku was packing up, when Katsuki walked over and picked up Izuku's Hero Analysis for the Future book.
"How much have you written since I last checked?" Katsuki asked while starting to page through it.
"Maybe about eight pages, if you count the stuff I added," Izuku replied while still packing. Katsuki looked back up from Izuku’s analysis book.
"How the fuck do you have so much time to do this with all our schoolwork?" Katsuki questioned.
"I don't know," Izuku replied.
Katsuki walked over to the window to continue to look at Izuku's handy work. As soon as he looked back at the book, a bi-colored fur cat snatched it out of his hands and jumped onto his head.
"Hey! Get back here you fucking cat!" Katsuki yelled as he swatted at the cat on top of his head. Izuku started to laugh.
"Shut the fuck up, Deku!" Katsuki yelled at Izuku.
The cat jumped off Katsuki's head, freezing his hair in the process. The cat landed on Izuku's desk and dropped the notebook into his backpack.
"You damn cat!" Katsuki screamed. He rushed at the cat on Izuku's desk. The cat just simply reached out it's left paw and froze Katsuki in a chunk of ice.
"Wow, that was amazing, but please unfreeze Katsuki," Izuku said. The cat gave him a questioning look before turning to do so.
As it was unfreezing Katsuki, Izuku asked the cat the question.
"Are you my cat?" Izuku sincerely hoped the answer was yes. The cat mewled in response.
“I’m going to take that as a yes then. Well in that case, I'm going to name you Duality," Izuku said. A few seconds later Izuku heard the familiar screams of his friend.
"I'm going to kill that damn cat!" Katsuki screamed with a furious expression on his face.
"You can't, he's mine," Izuku said while trying to hold back a laugh.
"Ugrrr," Katsuki growled as he started to stalk out of the classroom with his weird little walk of his.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Izuku called after him. Katsuki looked back over his shoulder.
"Tch, then hurry up you shitty nerd," Katsuki called back.
Izuku’s cat jumped on his shoulder just as he started to run after Katsuki. They walked out of the building and started towards their neighborhood.
As they passed under a bridge, green sludge started to leak out of the sewage pipe behind them. It grabbed Izuku and started to choke him. Izuku was running out of air fast. He activated his quirk, Analysis. Analysis allowed Izuku to analyze whatever he is looking at or whatever situation he is in. Izuku’s brain idly thought that his quirk worked sort of like how a character on a pre-quirk era BBC show, called “Sherlock,” analyzed things.
He heard the familiar explosions and screaming of his friend. All of the sudden, Izuku felt the slide release its hold on him and just barely registered “idol” before he passed out.
Izuku woke to All Might rapidly slapping him in the face and asking if he was ok. Izuku fanboy-ed as if he was meeting any other hero. This was the deal he made with his parents. He would pretend he didn't know them while they were in their hero personas, so Izuku wasn’t targeted by villains. Katuski stood to the side while Izuku was fanboying and when Izuku was done, Katsuki grumbled out if he could have All Might’s autograph. All Might happily obliged.
Before All Might could leave, Izuku asked him a question.
“Can someone without a quirk become a hero?” All Might looked at Izuku questioningly and spoke his answer.
“NO. It is too dangerous for them but they can find other helpful jobs such as a policeman or a firefighter.”
Well I guess I know where he stands on that opinion now, Izuku though sadly.
After All Might left, Izuku and Katsuki continued their walk home but Izuku stopped. He felt like he was forgetting something. He turned back around and saw his cat sitting on the sidewalk a few feet in front of him. It had a look of annoyance on its face as if saying, come on I want to go home.
"Oh, come on Duality don't look at me like that," Izuku complained. "You know I couldn't do anything about it. I was practically trapped, and I was being suffocated. How would you react in a situation like that?" The cat just shook its head and Izuku heard Katsuki snicker. Izuku turned to look at him.
“Well what would you have done?” Izuku questioned. Katsuki continued to snicker.
“I would have blown the fucker to bits, is what I would have done, Deku,” Katsuki responded. Izuku rolled his eyes and they continued walking.
~-~
Izuku and Katsuki were walking through an alley off a main road as it was a shortcut to their neighborhood. Izuku heard explosions behind him and he turned around only to realize that Katsuki wasn’t next to him. He looked up into the street and was shocked to see the same villain that attacked him earlier had Katsuki in its grasp.
Izuku slowly walked to the end of the alleyway and started to observe the situation without his quirk. It seems that the only vulnerable spot on the villain was its eyes and mouth, he thought. He also noted that none of the heroes were doing anything. They shouted something about their quirks not being compatible with the villain's and that they had to wait for someone with a compatible quirk. Izuku scoffed.
He was going to do something as the heroes weren’t doing much of anything. Izuku contemplated if he should shove his backpack down the villain’s throat but decided against it as it was a waste of school materials and would be messy if the villain deactivated his quirk. He ran out of the alley and threw his backpack at the villain’s eye. This gave enough time for Katsuki to free his face from the sludge.
“Deku what the fuck are you doing here!” Katsuki screamed. “I don’t need your fucking help!” Katsuki was still trying to get free from the sludge and was setting off explosions everywhere. This didn’t help Izuku too much as he was trying to pull Katsuki out of the sludge.
“Sure looked like you needed to breathe though,” Izuku half yelled over Katsuki’s explosions. Katsuki just scowled and continued to struggle to get himself out of the sludge.
Eventually All Might showed up and blew the sludge villain to pieces with a big punch. While the sludge pieces were being collected by the police, Izuku was getting scolded by the heroes on the scene minus All Might as he left very quickly. Izuku wasn’t really paying attention to what the heroes were saying. He looked over to where the media were praising Katsuki for his quirk and being so brave. He had a scowl on his face and looked like he wanted to blow them all up but chose to stay quite instead.
“Hey kid, are you even listening?!” Death Arms scolded him. “That was a very dangerous thing you did.” Izuku snapped out of his thoughts and rolled his eyes at them.
“It’s not like you were going to do anything anyway,” Izuku retorted.
“What do you mean?” Death Arms asked, confused.
“You were just standing there, waiting for a hero with a more compatible quirk to come.” Izuku started to rant. “What if a hero with a compatible quirk didn’t show up, huh? A civilian would have died and you would have just stood there and let it happen because your quirk wasn't compatible with the villains. You should have at least tried to rescue the civilian instead of focusing on stopping the villain. Unbelievable!” Izuku threw his hands up and huffed in frustration as he finished his rant. He turned his head to Katsuki.
“Come on Katsuki, let’s go,” Izuku yelled over to him. Katsuki nodded his head, gave the media one last glare before walking over to Izuku. They started to walk back towards their neighborhood again.
“Hey kid! Get back here!” Death Arms shouted after them. Izuku snorted and continued walking.
~-~
Izuku and Katsuki finally split ways to go home. As soon as Izuku passed the next street, All Might popped out in front of him. Since Izuku was looking down at the road, he was surprised when “idol” showed up in front of him.
“Ahhh!” Izuku yelped. He looked around to make sure there was no one around. “Dad! What the hell?! Don’t do that to me!” Izuku sighed and started to walk away.
“Izuk-I mean young man!” All Might yelled after Izuku. The latter turned around, still walking.
“Dad, come on, let's get you somewhere, where you can deflate,” Izuku yelled back. He turned back around and All Might followed after him. Izuku led All Might to the back of a building where he deactivated his quirk. Afterwards, they walked to Dagobah Beach.
“Izuku, why did you bring me here?” Toshinori asked. They were walking through the piles of trash that filled the beach.
“Because I had a feeling you needed to tell me something very private as you showed up to me when I was alone on an empty street,” Izuku replied. “So, what did you want to talk to me about?” Izuku found an empty spot in the piles of garbage and sat down in the sand.
“You just about hit the nail on the head, Izuku,” Toshinori said. “I wanted to talk about my quirk and my place as the number one hero.” He sat down in the sand across from his son. Izuku had a questioning look on his face. Toshinori continued speaking. “I want you to be my successor. This means you will inherit my quirk and you will take up my mantle of the number one hero.” Izuku looked shocked and then slowly descended into mumblings about his father’s quirk and theories online. Toshinori put his hand on Izuku’s shoulder. Izuku snapped out of his mumbling and looked up at his father.
“Why are you offering your quirk to me?” Izuku questioned. “Aren’t there other people more qualified to inherit it than me?” Toshinori rubbed the back of his neck and looked at the ground.
“Well…” Toshinori started. “I was on my way to meet another candidate when the sludge villain showed up.” Izuku looked at his father with a “seriously?” look.
“So…” Izuku started speaking slowly. “You missed your meeting with this other candidate just to offer your quick to me instead of going to see if the other candidate is a better option.” Izuku said this as a statement instead of a question so he could spell it out to his blockhead of a father.
“Uh, Yes?” Toshinori said hesitantly. Izuku sighed for what he felt was the tenth time that day.
“When we get home, why don’t you call whoever offered up the other candidate, reschedule the meeting for tomorrow, as I’m assuming you missed the meeting for today, and tell them you found another candidate you would like to show them,” Izuku told Toshinori. The latter looked a little sheepish from his son having better management skills and impulse control than him.
“Uh, yeah, I’ll do that,” Toshinori chuckled. “I’m going to call him here though, instead of at home, so you can go on ahead and i’ll catch up later.” Izuku nodded and stood up. He started walking out of the piles of trash towards his home and looked over his shoulder to wave goodbye to his dad. Toshinori waved back and then turned his attention to his phone. He tapped the call button on his previous sidekick’s contact.
“Hello All Might” Nighteye said rather coldly when he picked up. Toshinori gulped but pressed forward.
“Hello Nighteye. I’m sorry I missed today’s meeting, but I found another possible candidate. Can I come in tomorrow with him so we can assess both of them?” Toshinori asked nervously. Nighteye was silent for a few seconds. Toshinori gulped again.
“Yes,” Nighteye said slowly. “Let’s see who your choice of a successor is.”

If you haven't watched "Sherlock" lookup Sherlock analyzing things on YouTube
Thanks for reading! I hoped you enjoyed it. Please be nice, this is my first fanfic and i'm nervous about posting this. Constructive criticism is always welcome. The next chapter won't be out for a while or maybe not, idk.

Best Tv Shows All Time
'The Daily Show' 1996-Present
The fa-Ke information display that became mo-Re credible as opposed to news that is real. Comedy Central started The Everyday Show in 1996, but it hit its stride when Jon Stewart took over in 1999. The Everyday Present got more politically abrasive as the the headlines got worse. Stewart had the rage of a man who'd signed on in the conclusion of the Bill Clinton years, only to finish up with an America much more scary and more ugly for, as well as the anger showed. "It's a comic box lined with unhappiness," he informed Rolling Stone in 2006. While the franchise struggles on without him, Samantha Bee and Daily alumni John Oliver keep that hard-hitting spirit alive on their shows.

'The Office (U.K.)' 2001 03
Ricky Gervais created one of TV's most agonizing comic tyrants in David Brent – a bitter, awkward, pompous ball of vanities terrorizing his workers at a London paper company. He fidgets, fondles his tie, cracks awful jokes, plays guitar ("Free Love Freeway"!), invisible to anyone except the longsuffering office drones who need to put up with him. This mockumentary raised the cringe level of sitcoms everywhere, spawning the surprisingly fantastic U.S. version (also on this checklist) while paving the way for the glories of Parks & Re-Creation and Peepshow.

'Sesame Street' 1969-Present
No kiddie present has ever been as fiercely beloved as this urban utopian fantasy, emerge a brownstone neighborhood populated by a multi racial cast of smiling adults, a gigantic yellow chicken, a grouch in a garbage can, and z/n-loving vampires, plus many talking letters and figures. It's great songs, but most important, Sesame h-AS soul, which can be why the air h-AS stayed sweet for 40 years – or as the Count would say, 4-5! 46! 47 years!

'The Sopranos' 1999 2007
The crime saga that slice the the history of TV kicking off a golden age when abruptly something seemed possible. With all The Sopranos, David Chase smashed all the rules about just how much you could get away with on the little screen. And he created an immortal American antihero in James Gandolfini's Nj Mob boss, Tony Soprano over a crew of gangsters who double as damaged husbands and dads, men seeking to live using their murderous secrets and dark memories. As the late, great Gandolfini told Rolling Stone in 2001, "I noticed David Chase say one time that it is about people who lie to themselves, as we all do. Lying to ourselves on a daily basis as well as the mess it creates." What an inspiring mess it is. This particular poll was run away with by the Sopranos as the planet was altered by it. Chase showed how much story telling ambition tv could be brought to by you, and it didn't take long for everybody else to to go up to his problem. The breakthroughs of the next few years – The Wire, Mad Guys, Breaking Bad – could not have happened without The Sopranos kicking the door down. But Chase had a tough time convincing any community to take on a story of a guilt- while his mom plots to destroy him, gangster who goes to therapy. "We'd no idea this show would appeal to folks," he told Rolling Stone. "The show really unexpectedly made this type of splash that it screwed all of US up." The Sopranos stored heading having a wild mix of humor and blood shed for the long bomb over six masterful seasons on HBO. When FBI agents tell Uncle Junior which mobsters they want him to finger, he says using a shrug, "I want to fuck Angie Dickinson – let us see who gets lucky first." The Sopranos is full of damaged characters who linger on in the long term parking of our national imagination – Edie Falco's Carmela, Dominic Chianese's Junior, Michael Imperioli's Christopher, Tony Sirico's Paulie Walnuts. E Street Band guitarist Steve Van Zandt became Tony's lieutenant Silvio – Chase spotted him on early Bruce Springsteen album addresses. (As Chase told Rolling Stone, "There was something about the E Street Band that looked the same as a crew.") It might not have been possible without Gandolfini's slow-burning intensity – he was the only actor who could deliver Tony's angst to life. But the writing, directing and acting went locations Television had never attained before. The Sopranos arguably hit its imaginative peak with all the well-known Pine Barrens episode, where Christopher and Paulie Walnuts wander away in the woods, realizing the gangster they tried to whack is still out there-in the darkness. They shiver in the cold. ("It is the the fuckin' Yukon out there!") They wait. And worry. The Sopranos never solved this mystery – for all we know, the Russian is nonetheless atlarge, however another key these guys can't shake off. In the streets, family loyalties flip, both on The Sopranos and a-T home. Beloved characters can get whacked at any given moment. It stored that perception of risk alive proper up to the ultimate seconds. And not quite a decade after it faded to black in a Jersey diner together with the juke-box playing "Do Not Cease Believin'," The Sopranos stays the standard all ambitious TV aspires to meet.

'Friday Night Lights' 200611
"Obvious eyes, total hearts, cannot drop" is the golden-rule in a dusty Texas town where everybody else lives and dies for the large college football team. But Friday Night Lights isn't truly about football s O much as family, perform, class, the bitter flavor of dashed goals, with Kyle Chandler as Coach Taylor, Connie Britton as wife Tami and Taylor Kitsch as Tim Riggins – the most most notable of the many vulnerable kids who go through the Panthers' locker room. Riggins' tale becomes particularly moving after his grid iron glory fades and genuine existence beats him down.

'Star Trek' 196669
The Starship Business took off using a five-year mission: "To explore unusual new worlds, to to locate new life and new civilizations," and it succeeded in making the most beloved of sci fi franchises, maybe not just inspiring numerous spin-offs but also codifying fan fiction as a creative art form. Gene Roddenberry's original sequence stays the the inspiration, with William Shatner's awesomely pulpy Capt. Kirk, Leonard Nimoy's logical Mr. Spock, Bones, Sulu, Uhura and Scotty. They make contact with strange and inexplicable lifeforms – Romulans, Gorns, Joan Collins. During its three years, Star Trek suffered from low ratings till NBC pulled the plug, but thanks to the most doggedly faithful of Television cults (re-member when "Trekkie" was an insult?), Roddenberry's vision lives long and prospers to this day.

'Mad Men' 200715
The American desire and how exactly to sell it – aside from Don Draper as well as the hustlers of Sterling Cooper, selling is the American dream. Mad Men became a sensation as soon as it appeared, partly due to the glam surface – a New York advert agency in the JFK period, all sex and money and liquor and cigarettes – but mostly as it was an audaciously adult drama which wasn't about cops or robbers (or medical practioners or lawyers), staking out new story-telling territory. Jon Hamm's womanizing ad man, Don, is a genius a-T shaping other people's goals and fantasies, but he can not e-Scape his own loneliness – he's a con-man who stole the identification of a lifeless Korean War officer and constructed a new life out of lies. "A good marketing individual is like an artist, channeling the lifestyle," creator Matthew Weiner told Rolling Stone. "They're supporting a mirror saying, 'This is the way you desire you were. That is the thing you're scared of.'" A room can be reduced by Don to tears although the content family memories he is attempting to sell are a fraud. There was nothing on TV as seductive as Mad Men before – and years later, there still isn't.

'Deadwood' 200406
Al Swearengen's moral philosophy: "you-can't cut the throat of every cock-sucker whose character it would improve." Spoken just like a Founding Father that is true. He is the villain of David Milch's epic Western set in the mud and slime of an 1870s South Dakota gold-mining c AMP. In the middle of it all (i.e., the saloon), Ian McShane's Al glowers, pours drinks, counts money and slices jugulars, in a frontier hell-hole total of prospectors, whores, drunks and dropped freaks looking for one last fatal battle to get in to (and often discovering it a T Al's place). It was like McCabe & Mrs. Miller with mo Re depressing sex scenes. The first two seasons are solid gold, the third, flimsier, but Deadwood is about how communities get built – and every one of the dirty work that requires.

Third Watch TV Show
'Cheers' 1982 93
You require a spot where everyone knows your title – even if it's just a dive bar in Boston full of regulars with no place else to go. Cheers started with a focus on the mismatched romantic banter between Ted Danson's washedup Red-Sox pitcher Sam and Shelley Long's up-tight book-worm Diane. ("Over my dead body!" "Hey, don't b-ring last evening in to this.") By attracting new blood like Kelsey Grammar, Kirstie Alley and Woody Harrelson, but it regularly renewed it self. Cheers was to the purpose where you could tune in to see which regulars would hang tonight.
