okay because I think this is literally the funniest thing in the world I am going to share this extremely niche story that like only one of you may appreciate.

anyway, picture this it is July of 2010 and I was in Year 9 (I was 15) at school and my drama club ended up going to London to the O2 Arena to perform our abridged version of Much Ado About Nothing (which was set on a boat a lá the loveboat, thank you Mr McCarthy for being a legend and genius) on the streets outside as part of this festival we were participating in. 

so we do the performing during the day and then with a boat load of other UK schools get to go to a festival at the O2 with people like The Saturday’s, Eliza Doolittle, Tinchy Stryder etc performing. so Melvin from KISS radio and one of his co-hosts are hosting the festival and like it takes ages for everything to get ready so we’re doing mexican waves upon mexican waves while McCarthy has bogged off pretending to be security to see how far down the corridor he can sneak himself. 

so The Wanted are at this festival and after we’ve all screamed and cheered along to The Saturday’s these dudes that no one of us have heard of rock up on the stage and start trying to amp us up (when like dudes we’ve just had The Saturday’s it’s literally 2010 they are massive we don’t need to be amped up more) and they’re all like ‘It’s Wanted Wednesday’ and keep trying to get us to say it, which of course we do but my school (like 20 people out of thousands) are like wait what? it’s a Tuesday? so we start shouting ‘It’s fucking Tuesday’. we were like ‘who the eff do they think they are? we wanna see tinchy stryder’. so they sing all time low (which we end up discovering is a banger) and then like a week later they release it and we’re all like oh dope we heckled them a week ago. and then they ended up getting reality tv shows and released three albums.
