Personal masterpost / 2nd intro
Tumblr media
Max,Chief,Master Chief,Spartan He/Him | fictionkin/fictive & general machine alterhuman
Iā€™m a boiling hot mess when it comes to alterhuman labels. I really canā€™t put my identity into words but Iā€™m going to try here
As you mightā€™ve picked up already, I am Master Chief but I am also an Xbox360, Or atleast somehow connected to oneā€¦? It feels like my brain is running as an Xbox engine but my body is the body I have in source/canon
This ā€˜Xbox selfā€™ only stores really dated games from between 2001-2014. I have other games but the most prominent ones are Minecraft Beta and Halo 1 - 5. The only exception of time after 2014 that still affects my identity is Halo Infinite for some reason. I have lots memories from that source and Iā€™m not sure why
Old Microsoft game marketing is a huge visual representation of my identity. The oversaturated green, the hit or miss edginess of gaming stores at the time, and just the general nostalgia of it all is me in a way. I also really like old YouTube and old Tumblr because it just reminds me of the time where I belonged :]
So basically I am like a time capsule of early gaming and the early internet XD (I will never say XD again I am so sorry)
I also really love the ā€œeerieā€ liminal space of Minecraft Beta :] It kind of became a safe haven for me. I love the empty atmosphere that only the old games had
Tumblr media
Iā€™m a binary trans man btw. I am not transmasc. The term doesnā€™t match my experience but I have nothing against it
Iā€™m hetroflexable but I usually just say Iā€™m straight to simplify it
Iā€™m nonspeaking in my cannon and when I front but I have no issue typing or writing my words
Age is a weird thing for me. The body is around young adult age but Iā€™m like 9 or something? But not in a human way. More like a 9 year old game disc that is still going strong
Iā€™m part of a system btw. I feel like thatā€™s important to share. Uhh both me and the main guy (host) donā€™t really talk about it because we know itā€™s confusing to other people and the last thing we would want is to confuse people. Plus weā€™re both figuring it all out for ourselves
Youā€™ve probably seen the main guy before if youā€™re on fictionkin & nonhuman tumblr. He interacts with a lot of my post and I do the same so youā€™ll see him around on my blog

DNI / BYI
DNI if you are; H0mophobic, Transph0bic, T3erf, R@dqueer, pr0ship, anything of the sort
Hard DNI if you support ai generated content. Also if I accidentally reblog ā€˜artā€™ thatā€™s ai generated, please tell me. I often miss the signs
BYI Info thatā€™s a little less harsh
I try my best to add alt text to my posts with images in them but donā€™t expect it in every post
I am not a fan of the Halo TV Series and I am not a fan of depictionsļæ¼ of me without my helmet on so If you are a mutual and you reblog something like that (which is fine) I would really appreciate it if you used the #max donā€™t look hashtag? Because I have that tag blocked :]
And thatā€™s about it. Thanks for sticking to the end or scrolling to the bottom at least

Hi, I just wanted to pop by and say I recently found your clone wars fics and I love them so so so much. You put so much love into them and I love reading them. The ones with Numa are my personal favourites and I just love how you write all these characters. Your fics also got me shipping Waxer/Boil so congrats. I will be going back in the next few days and giving them all the love they deserve on AO3. Your fics are amazing, your artwork is amazing and your taste in music is mint. I've been listening to Wildflower on repeat for the last few days haha (before that was We Are Infinite from that one fic that I read at midnight in bed and almost made me cry). Tysm for everything you write and draw and post <3
Ahhh thank you so much for the kind words!! šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ§”šŸ’ššŸ§”
I'm so happy you like them and that you enjoy the ones that heavily feature Numa. She's easier for me to write these days since she's getting older in my main AU and I've been writing her for a while, so I have more of a sense of who this little larval person is, haha. But I haven't spent much time around kids in years, so I've definitely had lots of help from @alamogirl80 when writing her. :D
Your fics also got me shipping Waxer/Boil so congrats.
Yess, excellent >:3c

Ahh I'm so excited! Comments give me life šŸ„°
Haha, so glad you're enjoying the musical selection! I get most of my fic titles from the massive WB playlist I started compiling like, over two years ago. They're very handy! XD
Thank you so much for the lovely ask! It's already made my day! <3333

Tobirama, Naruto and Kakashi with a chaotic s/o šŸ˜œ
Fandom Naruto
Characters Tobirama Senju, Naruto Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake
Symbols šŸ’œ . šŸ’š . šŸ’› . ā–¶ļø
Warning (s) none
N. A.: So... this ask (as well as others) has been in my box for ages and it's a bit strange that I'm only posting it now, but life is strange too XD Sorry anon for taking this long, but it's finally here if you still care. Thank you for requesting it anyway šŸ’— (Also this is the very first time I write for the anime's protagonist and I'm nervous and happy haha)
In this one we have the boys with a chaotic s/o, something like Harley Quinn according to anon. I confess I never watched Suicide Squad or Birds of Prey but I kinda understand what it means so I'll try my best šŸ˜…
Tumblr media
Tobirama
Okay, listen
Going for the chaotic way is not exactly a good idea with this man
As you know, Tobirama already lives with a chaotic big brother and has to stand his even more chaotic best friend
So adding one more of this type in the bowl, in the form of his love interest, is the last thing he would want
It doesn't matter if you're a shinobi or not, he would try everything on his reach to prevent you from getting in trouble
Even if it means leaving a Shadow Clone to watch over you all day
Or mark some of your stuff with his Hiraishin
Or spending a regular amount of time tracing your chakra signature to make sure you didn't went to the open road with the first group of strangers you found
Because there was this time when you did, just for the aesthetic
And it ended up being a Rank-S mission
Whenever he tries to put some sense in you, you just mock him for being as grumpy as your grandfather
You try to drag him into some of your adventures to wild places with your friends, claiming that a vacation would be good for him
(Hashirama supports you in this)
But there are these few times when you get really annoyed by his overprotection and serious arguments take place
When you started dating, these conflicts happened more often
You were almost convinced that he just didn't love you at all, otherwise why would he try so hard to change you?
As time passed, however, you understood that Tobirama is a man of genuine affections, so that he would never do so much for someone he doesn't care
What you considered possessiveness he just saw as regular care for a loved one
It was when you started to think you should be more gentle, understanding
It's not easy for him to open up about his feelings, so he expresses them through actions
Things only started to work when you learned to respect each other for who you are šŸ˜Œ
Tumblr media
Naruto
Definitely the most dangerous combination of this list lmao
Naruto is chaotic by nature, but in his own way
Boy is so attached to his principles and his will to help others that he puts himself in complicated situations so often
And this lack of fear (what others would call empty head) is precisely what caught your attention and made you fall for him
On his part, he immediately loved your vivacity and good humor
It just matches with his in a way he can't explain
You love to have fun and try new things without caring too much
And just like him, you seem to have infinite reserves of stamina
Your friends are happy that you go along this well, but they're also worried for obvious reasons
Naruto is not only young like you, but also the village's jinchuuriki, which puts a target on himself and the people around him, you included
So it's expected that his loved ones work to protect him instead of taking him into dangerous situations
Which is exactly what you end up doing sometimes
You believe that people should start trusting more in Naruto's capacity as a ninja, not trying to keep him locked and not learning anything
When you have arguments, it uses to be about this specific point
Naruto is better than you to understand that your friends just want the best for him, and this makes you look like the selfish one here
Well, it's true that you're not as generous and concerned about others' feelings as him
But your love for him is true, and stronger than your passion for danger
This becomes clear when you fight side by side in missions: the chemistry between you is something that even your enemies sense
In the end everyone knows that, as chaotic as you are, you wouldn't be the same without each other šŸ’›
Tumblr media
Kakashi
Well, things are different with this one
Kakashi is sort of a mixture of the two previous guys
He carries in him the realism and sense of responsibility of Tobirama, but without being too pragmatic like him
And also the youth and tolerance of Naruto, but not to the point of being childish like the Uzumaki
He's kinda the perfect match for a chaotic, carefree individual like you: he can have fun by your side but also keep you out of danger
You say you find it irritating sometimes, but deep inside it's a true diversion
You're always trying to get rid of him for a while, to have fun your own way
(Your own way = jumping from the Hokage Rock without protection, buying bottles with suspicious content from suspicious sellers and empty them in one night, not shutting your mouth in the right time around the wrong people just to see what happens, etc.)
Fortunately, Kakashi knows you better than anyone and is the smartest guy around
He can predict your moves
Or even guess when you're about to start something just by examining your body language
So that he can get there first and stop you
You yell at him to stop treating you like one of his students
And he just tells you to stop behaving like one of them
You threat to start a physical fight
He accepts the challenge
For a while, you're equals
But when things start to get difficult or it's just time to stop, he activates his Sharingan
You know you had no chance against it
Yet you don't give up
It almost always ends up with him trapping you on the ground with your hands on your back like a rebel student or tied with a rope, upside down, on a tree
You don't speak to him for an entire day
Then you say sorry to each other and start a makeout session
You stay in peaceful terms for a few days until it starts again šŸ˜šŸ˜‚

Contains SPOILERS for Doctor Who and Season 2 of Broadchurch. Ā
Imy Comic by Irma Ericksson.Ā

Iā€™ve being going through some life-changing stuff. I moved and got a place with roomies. Not done transporting possessions yet. Working somewhere else. Dealt with car issues. A lot has occurred. :)Ā
Hence why this has taken considerably longer to type, edit, and post than I originally envisioned over a month ago. XDĀ
On Sunday July 16th 2017, Ā the long-running BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who starring a time and universe traveling body shifting Gallifreyan Time Lord made the announcement that a woman would play the longtime exclusive to men portrayal character next. Alongside companions, the Doctor is the true definition (not the derogatory kind) of a Social Justice Warrior. The Doctor assists civilizations, helps people, tries to alter certain events in time, and clashes against all types of enemies. The most famous among them being the Daleks, of course.Ā
Thereā€™s been twelve Doctors (Well, thirteen if John Hurtā€™s War Doctor is counted...Doesnā€™t seem to be though. Since Jodie isnā€™t labeled as the 14th Doctor. ) played by men since the series inception back in 1963. The original run lasted until 1989, the revival of the show began in 2005. Doctor Who was created by C.E. Webber, Donald Wilson, and Sydney Newman. Producer Verity Lambert, story editor David Whitaker, and writer Anthony Coburn also contributed to the development of the series that would eventually become Doctor Who. In 1986, Newman wrote to BBC Chairman Michael Grade, "At a later stage, Doctor Who should be metamorphosed into a woman. This requires some considerable thought ā€” mainly because I want to avoid a flashy, Hollywood Wonder Woman because this kind of heroine with no flaws is a bore. Given more time than I have now, I can create such a character."
So, over three decades (839 episodes, one TV movie, four charity specials, multiple specials, and two animated serials) later, Newmanā€™s words are realized under Broadchurch creator and new Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall (with the departure of Steven Moffat). At the end of 2017, the current Doctor incarnation actor Peter Capaldi portrays will be replaced by Jodie Whittaker following the Regeneration process. This decision is is merely another form of change: a significant theme pertaining to the Doctorā€™s character as a whole.
On top of that, in the 1999 Red Nose Day telethon episode Doctor Who: The Curse of the Fatal Death was the first time the doctor was a woman (Joanna Lumley). In the audio drama Doctor Who Unbound Exile which is free from the restraints of continuity Ā released in 2003 actor Arabella Weir played the Doctor. During the 9th Doctorā€™s run, it was revealed that the Doctor was bisexual even though the character rejected Jackie Tylerā€™s advances in ā€œThe Parting of Waysā€. The Doctor flirted with Jack Harkness, proposing to dance with in the episode ā€œDoctor Dancesā€ whilst promising to give him what Rose Tyler had with Mickey Smith should Jack purchase him a drink. Captain Jack Harkness and River Song are characters both from the 51st century where pansexuality is the norm. Companion Clara Oswin Oswald has been in a relationship with a man but mentions kissing women too. When the 11th Doctor touches his hair following the completion of the 10thā€™s Regeneration process, the character says, ā€œIā€™m a girl. No, no. Iā€™m not a girl. And still not ginger.ā€ This suggests that a the Doctor could be a woman. In the 2011 episode ā€œThe Doctorā€™s Wifeā€ Neil Gaiman wrote from over six years ago, the Time Lord Corsair is mentioned and it is divulged that Corsair had a Regeneration that switched him into a her. In the 2013 mini-episode ā€œThe Night of the Doctorā€, the Sisterhood of Karn (first appearance was in The Brain of Morbius that aired in 1976) asks the Doctor what Regeneration is desired (ā€œFat or thin, young or old, man or woman?ā€ ā€œFast or strong, wise or angry, what do you need now?ā€): ultimately Paul McGannā€™s 8th Doctor wishes to be a ā€œwarriorā€ and is transformed into the War Doctor (portrayed by the late and incredibly great John Hurt). Since the showā€™s 2005 revival, an infamous Time Lord villain known as The Master went from being solely men into a woman named Missy (Michelle Gomez) after an off-screen Regeneration took place. Ā
Change is important for the purposes of bringing a fresh angle to an established accepted formula whilst having potential narrative merit, symbolizing growth, modern day relevance, and validation to something existing. How change is navigated, utilized, or coped with is equally as important. Each Regeneration leads to viewers, writers, showrunners, and cast members Ā having to accept that a previous version of the Time Lord is gone. ā€œNo more.ā€ Their look, personality, memories, relationships, mannerisms, and whatever else gets scrambled into something entirely different post-Regeneration.
Likewise, the companions of the Doctor go through switcheroos often as well. Some leave us furious. Sad. Perhaps even glad.
My point is that weā€™re resist to change. Struggle with it. Less of a fan as a result. Which is understandable. However, when a certain demographic has been catered to for decades, altering this comes with a price. To be candid, I find the reactionary backlash a tad odd and chuckle-inducing. As if the time-traveling alien Doctor was ever defined by masculinity before. If thatā€™s your chief defining attribute of the Doctor then I legitimately feel sorry for you. The Doctor represents more than a man or a woman and thatā€™s why this beloved character has obtained a prestigious status among fictional creations.Ā
This is the inherent beauty of science fiction. Close to infinite possibilities at oneā€™s creative fingertips are there. Thatā€™s why Daisy Ridleyā€™s Rey being a protagonist and an in training Jedi (General Leia Organa never got this despite her mighty connection to the Force) within the new Star Wars flicks is a big deal. Nichelle Nicholsā€™ Lieutenant Uhura from Gene Roddenberryā€™s Star Trek was historical by being the first African-American not to play a servant on American television. Did you know that Civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. asked her to remain on Star Trek when she thought about leaving in the late 60s? ā€œFor the first time on television, we [people of African descent] will be seen as we should be seen every day, as intelligent, quality, beautiful people who can sing and dance, yes, but who can go into space, who can be lawyers and teachers, who can be professors ā€” who are in this day, yet you donā€™t see it on television until now." Nichols would further influence Dr. Mae Jemison, the first black woman to fly aboard the Space Shuttle, directly cited Star Trek in her decision making. Additionally, Nicholsā€™ Uhura would serves as a role model to Star Trek: The Next Generation Guinan actor Whoopi Goldberg ("I just saw a black woman on television; and she ain't no maid!") too. Should I list all of the ways in which Charlize Theronā€™s Furiosa of Mad Max: Fury Road and Gal Gadotā€™s Wonder Woman have contributed to the more inclusive than most genre?
The casting choice of actor Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor bothered me from the get-go. Since Peter Capaldi had already been on the series via the 10th Doctor (David Tennant) episode ā€œThe Fires of Pompeiiā€ as Caecilius. Not too long after that Peter would be in the Doctor Who spin-off series Torchwood: Children of Earth as John Frobisher too. Capaldi took over the role of the Doctor from Smith in 2013. Why the Doctorā€™s facial appearance is similar to Caecilus was eventually addressed in the 2015 episode ā€œThe Girl Who Diedā€. For whatever reason Iā€™ve been unable to decipher, Iā€™ve just never clicked with Capaldiā€™s Doctor. On the other hand, I am still grieving a tremendous loss...Which is actor Pearl Mackieā€™s SDCC announcement sheā€™s leaving the companion position this December. Meaning I do have some level of viewership enjoyment with Capaldi due to Billā€™s accompaniment with him.
Iā€™m sincerely going to miss her.
In short, what has been hinted at in the past will become reality this December. No oneā€™s being blindsided, Iā€™d argue. Not about being PC either. These seeds were clearly being planted prior to.
Yes, this a holiday present Iā€™m fondly looking forward to. Especially after seeing Jodie Whittakerā€™s nuanced performance as Beth Latimer in Chris Chibnallā€™s Broadchurch. Or Jodieā€™s role in the Black Mirror (a dark genius sci-fi series courtesy of Charlie Brooker) episode ā€œThe Entire History of You.ā€ Psst, the entirety of Black Mirror is on Netflix...Thereā€™s even an episode that warned about a candidate like Donald Trump rising to power. Iā€™d be remiss not to type about Whittaker being in the cult science fiction hit film Attack the Block (2011) as well. All of that sheā€™s done deserves to be seen. Thatā€™s what Iā€™ve been re-doing in anticipation actually!
With both Peter Capaldiā€™s and Steven Moffatā€™s tenures with Doctor Who coming to a personally welcomed close, my ranking of excitement is considerably lofty I must admit. Weā€™ve needed an overhaul for awhile now. The long awaited for revolution of making the protagonist Time Lord a woman next brings a fresh dynamic to Doctor Who. I reckon she wonā€™t be able to coast or take some things for granted like previous incarnations did. The involvement of Chris Chibnall and the inclusion of Jodie Whittaker has me ridiculously psyched for Doctor Whoā€™s future. I believe both of them will positively contribute to the series with their injection of needed new. I even feel compelled to finally watch Doctor Who again in a strangely devoted fashion (something I havenā€™t done in years) versus sporadic glances at the telly throughout Capaldiā€™s run.
