Yeah I think about ghoap confessing to each other and while I would love for it to be incredibly wholesome and shit-

I do sometimes think about where one of them almost dies, or just gets seriously injured and the other is angry. And they confront the other about it and it just turns into an argument. Which leads to an angry and emotional confession.

“Why do you care so much?”

“How could I not.”

AND UGH I EAT THAT UP EVERYTIME I SEE IT IN A FIC YOU GUYS HAVE NO IDEA.

I can see soap being the one getting injured and ghost just feeling overwhelmed. For the first time, he’s finally formed a connection. A bond. A strong bond and the person he formed it with was almost taken away from him. It makes him mad. He was told soap wasn’t allowed visitors, which he didn’t bother listening to. Anyways here’s ghost pacing to where soaps hospital room is, bursting in, not even caring to listen to the nurses and doctor ordering him to leave. Eyes scanning the whole room till he sees soap. Laying there and looking up at the ceiling. If ghost didn’t know any better he’d think soap was still laying lifeless on the rubble. Nevertheless be makes it to soaps bedside.

Ghost looks down at soap, the emotion on his face indiscernible even with how well soap knew the man. His eyes raking up from the multiple bandages to the iv sticking in his right arm.

“What do you want?” Soap asked, it was meant to be lighthearted but he was under a lot of pain it just came out strained.

Ghost had so much to say, so much and still he had no clue what to start with.

‘Why did you do that’

‘You could’ve gotten killed’

‘You’re hurt’

‘Please’

Phrases and sentences ran through his mind, his mouth went dry and he could feel soaps stare boring into him.

“You didn’t listen to my orders, MacTavish.”

Soaps usual smile was long gone. His face resembled one of a stranger. Ghost couldn’t even see the usual shine in soaps beautiful eyes. Ghost cursed himself, it was already to late to go back. He almost flinched when he heard soap do a deep inhale.

“I did what I had to do.” Soap said, a serious tone immediately taking over the once light hearted air.

“What you did was idiotic.” Ghost replied.

“I saved your arse. I got your six, remember us saying that to each other? What I did was the better choice.” Soap felt red in the face, he wasn’t one to get angry at a ‘friend’ (😉) so quickly. But with the obnoxious pain from his injuries and the growing headache he couldn’t help it.

“You should’ve done the right choice.” Ghosts eyebrows knitted together. He wanted to look into soaps eyes but he was scared.

“That so called right choice would be you having to die.” Soap said, frustration clear in his voice.

“It would’ve been better that way.” Ghost turned his head to face the wall. Not daring to look anywhere near soap.

“No it wouldn’t. How would you know?” Soap said, if he could he’d stand up and punch ghost.

“I would know because you wouldn’t be on that bed. You wouldn’t be the one to take my injuries. I should’ve been the one.” Ghost said. His voice low and almost sad

“Why do you care so much?” Soap asked, well more like commanded. If he spoke any slower it would be obvious that he was going to tear up from frustration.

“How could I not?” Ghost finally looked at soap. His voice low.

Assuming you're asking specifically about fae!Leo for this (let me know if I'm mistaken lol), thennnn the answer is somewhere in the middle i think? Fun fact-- out of all four fairy boys, Raph is actually the one with the most in-depth medical knowledge! A huge part of his job/talent is taking care of injured animals, so he's actually super well-versed in treating all sorts of injuries on both animals and fairies, since fairies all have some sort of animal/yokai features :D he's not as skilled as an actual healing fairy, ofc, but he's pretty dang good at working with smaller injuries that don't require a healer's expertise!

When it comes to Leo though, I would definitely say he's the second most well-versed in medical stuff. For one thing, he's usually the one who goes on errands to collect medical herbs/supplies for Raph and his animals (lol delivery boy), so it's crucial that he has an eye for what to look for! I can also totally envision Raph roping him into a treatment session/medical procedure whenever he drops off the supplies too. If Raph's hands are too big for something, Leo is gonna be forced to help out whether he's grossed out or not lmao

For another thing, Leo kinda has to have at least a basic understanding of treating injuries for his own safety. As a fast-flier, he travels around a LOT in order to gather requested materials or make deliveries. If he gets hurt while he's far away from the Hidden Hollow, then it's pretty much up to him to take care of himself and treat whatever injuries he has until he can get home! That's why he's got almost enough pockets to rival Donnie lmao-- extra pixie dust storage, and some basic medical supplies in case he gets hurt on the job :D

TLDR: I wouldn't say his understanding of first aid is necessarily "basic", but it's not super in-depth, either? He definitely knows enough to get by, and even to play nurse with Raph if he really needs to, but it's not really his "thing" as much as it is for Raph. He can certainly take care of an injured brother though ^-^

holes fandom IM BACK AND TODAY ILL BE DISCUSSING THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN BOOK AND MOVIE I LIKED AND DISLIKED

(future me, after writing this, it’s a lil weird i yoinked my name from zero but whatever he’s so gender so don’t mind that)

-1. first up, the things they didn’t have in the movie, my 2 fav scenes. the first one was when they’re on the mountain, after finding water—the flowers petal scene. in the book, zero is asleep, stanley is awake and watching him. there’s a good few paragraphs dedicated to stanley pretty much admiring him. basically for those who don’t know, there’s like a flower petal on zero’s face that goes back n forth as he breathes and Stanley notes that it’s like smth out of a cartoon. after a few MINUTES it falls and Stanley basically thinks “I wanna put it back but.. it wouldn’t be the same.” also he describes zeros face as “being lit in the moonlight” and if that aint romantic idk what is. THE MOVIE, MUCH TO MY DISMAY, DID NOT HAVE THIS.

-2. when they are walking back to the camp, they’re being stubborn lil bitches and are trying not to be the first to drink any water. their argument gives “you hang up first, ‘no YOU hang up first! 🤭” vibes. THE MOVIE ALSO DOESNT HAVE THAT AND I C R I E D

-3. however, the movie also has things the book doesn’t! for one, stanley thinking abt how he’s glad he’s on this mountain w zero, while in the book he’s just thinking it, in the movie him and zero are discussing it and it is so cute and fghkfjdjhdihbdhibdhibehibdi help

-4. also, the little things; in the book, after Mr. Pendanski says “nobody cares about hector zeroni” that’s kinda the end of the chapter or something. BUT IN THE MOVIE stanley walks in right after he says that, looks him dead in the eyes, and says, “I do.” and that broke me

-5. Another little thing—in that scene where Stanley gets his nickname of caveman, the the book, I don’t remember hearing from zero during that (I could be wrong tho). but, in the movie, as Stanley seems like he’s in a dangerous position, zero grabs a pool ball off the table (it’s implied that he’s gonna hit the guy antagonizing stanley) but after the situation cools down, there’s a shot of him putting it down. im telling you ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS AND THIS SCENE IS SCREAMING

-6.? idk if I misremember but in the movie they bring up like “damn Stanley, zero will only talk to you” and idk if that’s mentioned in the book or not but I don’t think so, the fact that one of the characters points it out like 2 or 3 separate times in the movie tho..

-7. the ending… pool party in the movie, boring normal ending in the books. end of story.

When did you start writing?

I was writing awful emo-type fiction (featuring yandere tropes that I didn’t know were a thing) then got into fanfic around ?13/14? with Death Note. I think so anyway, it’s nearly impossible for me to remember what age I did what 🤷‍♀️

Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?

I enjoy literary horror and absurdist fiction, which I used to write more of but haven’t really felt motivated to since venturing back into romance writing. I have a few short stories though from back in the day in these genres that I was thinking about publishing somewhere, but I wouldn’t know where to begin!

Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?

I’ve always been inspired by Diana Wynn Jones and have been compared to her from before, but I’m not sure I agree with that because I am nowhere near her level — that would be the dream, though! When I used to write more creatively, I very much tried to emulate Sayaka Murata, my queen. 🙇‍♀️

Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?

I don’t have a designated space, but I do find it easier to write when I’m commuting (because there’s no wifi/signal and I have nothing better to do). So… the London Underground? 😁

What's your most effective way to muster up a muse?

Being so bored that “I might as well write”, hahahaha! I have tonnes of hobbies though so, unfortunately, I don’t get in the writing mood very often. 🤣

Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?

I tend to always end up writing about depression and trauma, even when I didn’t intend to hehe. 🤭 Write what you know, right? Tbh, I’m unfortunately quite a pessimistic person who is more naturally inclined towards melancholy, so I think these things tend to slip into my characters. That said, I always want to make things feel hopeful and whimsical too — probably as a form of escapism — so I suppose that surprises me!

What is your reason for writing?

A loaded question… 👀 I wrote a long answer just now but deleted it because I couldn’t quite properly express what I meant lol, so the tldr is: escapism, self expression, and fulfillment🫡

Is there any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?

I love all comments ❤️❤️ but also, if you’re writing mini essays under my fics, you have a special place in my heart.

How do you want to be thought about by your readers?

Hmm, depends on what I’m writing. For the most part, I’d like readers to think I’m funny and enjoy my humour, and, of course, enjoy the story I create!

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?

I personally enjoy my sense of humour in writing. My one-shot ‘Gods Damned Gale Dekarios!’ and some parts of HITMC have been some of my favourite writing I’ve ever done, and my short stories I used to write used tonnes of irony and absurdist humour. I think I’m also good at writing about characters’ inner thoughts and feelings — when it comes to anything external, however, I struggle. 💀

How do you feel about your own writing?

I think I’m pretty average tbh — enjoyable enough to read but nothing super special. I have a lot of cognitive issues that make writing really hard for me, especially when it comes to, like I said, writing about anything that’s happening externally: action, the senses, settings, etc. I think I especially have problems when it comes to the all important “show not tell” rule, because girlypop has no visualisation skills. 🤣 But overall, I think as long as people are enjoying my writing, I don’t see it as a reason to be hard on myself. I’ve kinda given up on any ambitions to write anything more than what I do now because my disabilities are too extreme and also getting worse with age, but hey-ho, it is what it is.

In honor of Taurus season (happy birthday!) I’d like to share a small list of things (some good/some bad) I’ve noticed about the Taurus placements that have been in my life.

1. Loyal to a point (ex. low tolerance for certain people) Will cut family members off for saying something they don’t like, but will get in legal trouble for half-friends they’ve known for 2 months

2. Almost entirely textbook. Let me explain, Taurus’ is just one of those signs that when you read a generic zodiac description online, these people usually match. They are soft and stubborn. Like food (eating it, cooking it, watching it be prepared, etc.) in one capacity or another. Likes greens and neutrals. Stubborn. (I don’t consider this a bad thing though. Taurus’ tend (emphasis on tend) to be “what you see is what you get” and I appreciate the transparency. I’d say another sign like that is Scorpio. Sisters for life, I suppose 🤭)

3. Maybe it’s because most of the Taurus’ I’ve met have mutable placements, but they tend to be pretty easy going? Out of the fixed signs Taurus are the least fixed, in my opinion. (But I also think when they are comfortable with you they are more willing to go with the flow in general. Less difficult in the sake of having a good time.)

4. Taurus women (or feminine presenting Taurus’) are more enjoyable to be around, for the most part. Taurus men are handsome, but can be high strung and flighty (similar to air sign men but the people don’t like hearing that). And if they’re not like that, they’re as fun as a 3 hour lecture from the professor who refuses to retire. They make good friends, though!

5. Taurus can be as delusional as Pisces when IN LOVE. Pisces are delusional in everyday life, don’t get me wrong. But Taurus (and Libras) can go toe-to-toe with them when they are in love. Not a fling, not a sneaky link or a fuck buddy, I’m saying IN LOVE. People always rag on Libras but Taurus is similar, the difference is Libras fall out of (what they think is love) quicker and move on to the next obsession, while Taurus will be stuck in wonderland for a long time on one person. (Thanks, Venus)

6. Taurus’ always give art teacher vibes. Always. Or you can just tell they like crafts in some way shape or form. Likely to pick up a hobby/job where they are doing things with their hands (baking, cooking, welding, just fixing shit, etc.)

7. Pretty hair (in all colors and textures). Or, they know how to style hair really well. (Also counts for a hands-on hobby). Some learned how to do their hair because they didn’t trust anyone else to do it. Hair is the accessory you never take off, after all.

7.5 and, you can kinda tell when a Taurus is going through something if their hair is not done well or is messier than they usually prefer. The first giveaway something is up with them, I’ve noticed.

8. Last but not least, never forget Taurus and Scorpio are sisters for a reason. They can be just as sneaky. Maybe even more so, because you might not expect it from them at first since as I stated earlier, they tend to be transparent. They also tend to be bad/obvious liars, so sometimes they’re forced to be transparent.

TLDR; In regards to sneakiness, Scorpio is a wolf and Taurus the wolf in sheep’s clothing. At least one you can see coming.

Overall, a sign I can be around for a long time. *in friendships*

I think I'm gonna turn this one down, but I want to offer a quick explanation for why I'm not super into dbf!hotch at the moment (for everyone's reference, not just you!!). I'll pop it under a cut because it might get long and there'll be mentions of abuse, trauma etc

My dad and I have had a complete breakdown in our relationship. After years of abuse throughout my childhood and young adulthood, in July, I made the decision to cut off contact with him. I haven't lived with him since I was 17, and we'd been barely talking since then, but after a lot of therapy, I realized how much damage he's done to me and my life. I was actually at a point where I was ready to forgive him, and just asked him to apologize for what he's done in the past. He refused, and that was that. The last communication that I had from him was through a lawyer.

I'm so sorry for this huge chunk of text, but I hope you understand where I'm coming from! TLDR, I find dbf!hotch kind of hard to write at the moment because I'm really goddamn sad/angry/disappointed with my own father, so it's hard to write within a dbf! dynamic, especially when it's something that's being requested, rather than something I can write that's comfortable for me. Basically, if I'm going to write something potentially triggering, it needs to be on my own terms, rather than a request.

whiteout x thoughtful: i feel like people forget about them a lot..... and i can see why. i really think it's cute how they're both artists, but they just don't have much momentum.

glacier x boa: i find this one is more compelling than blacier. glacier crying when she heard boa's backstory... girl me too.

The yellow eyes do indicate how far into the dark side you’ve gone. Even if you align with the Sith you don’t always have yellow eyes. Even Ventress kept talking about how she wanted to be a Sith and considered a Sith Lord but it never happened.

Same thing with Count Dooku is his stance is more complicated than at face value. His eyes were only yellow on rare occasions, like fighting Anakin on Tatooine. Dooku never fully let the dark side fully consume him.

You could say well then Sidious/Palpatine didn’t either, but I think he had more of a reason to “hide” them, so to speak. Just as he literally hid a lot of things…so…

But color symbolism is interesting:

(Now I will say that the stigma of mental illness is still strong in real life and in the media, as in if you’re considered mentally ill you’re automatically evil, which is not true. But there are studies that say being in yellow rooms are more likely to cause people to lose their temper and babies tend to cry more. Which ironically I really don’t find yellow rooms pleasant. But anyway! That’s a whole other discussion.)

But then on the flip side we have yellow lightsabers, which signify a balance, and a mixture of red and green in additive color, which is how light produces color.

Yellow in the positive aspect is associated with joy, honor, loyalty, enlightenment, clarity, warmth, even remembrance…so on and so forth. 💛 Even when Ventress, her new kyber crystal was yellow in the Dark Disciple novel. Color symbolism is something I really enjoy.

So I have to agree that Ben never fully gave himself into the dark side, even though it really seemed like he desperately wanted to. He was constantly battling that within himself. And yes I can agree that Jedi ancestors were maybe trying to get through to him. But as far as I know it was mostly Palpatine, but I don’t fully trust what he says so! 😆 And I’m kinda salty because I wanted to see a force ghost Anakin talk to Ben…BUT ANYWAYS.

Ben thought killing his father would solidify that commitment and that there would be no turning back, but it actually did the opposite. He was also manipulated to do it by Snoke aka Palpatine. Snoke was just a means to an end, a puppet. Yes that’s a horrible and sad thing that Ben murderer his dad, and it was his choice to do so, but we know he regretted it. It’s shown to us.

Also I don’t want to get into this but here I am getting into it, Han was going to be killed off one way or another, sorry. 🤭 I love him dearly, I really do, but Harrison Ford was like, guys I’m over it. 😅 Which, that’s his opinion. I respect it. Dare I say I want more Han content with Alden Ehrenreich but I’m not optimistic about that happening considering how a lot of people did not enjoy Solo. Even though it has 6.9/10 ⭐️ stars on IMDb. Even the Book of Boba has more at 7.5/10 ⭐️ But I take any ratings with a grain of salt because I’ve been seeing a lot of hate about TBOB…or even hate about Disney’s direction…which even I have my own complex feelings about.

I’m rambling now…

TLDR; Ben Solo was never fully committed to the dark side, therefore no yellow eyes. ✌️

Anakin Skywalker’s eyes turned yellow when he turned to the Dark Side and became Darth Vader.

Darth Maul’s were also yellow.

As were the Emperor’s.

(Aside: I’ve noticed that when he was Senator/Chancellor Palpatine his eyes were blue. I have a theory on that.)

You know whose eyes never turned yellow? Ben Solo’s! Even when he was Kylo Ren, his eyes were always brown.
