Sometimes I just think about how absolutely insane it is that Justin Kuritzkes drew inspiration from his own life when writing certain aspects of Challengers. Specifically pulling from his own marriage to Celine Song when developing Art and Tashi’s relationship.

But you’d only know that if you watched her directorial debut (and another masterpiece) Past Lives.

#do you guys know the lore? or do i need to educate you all #i could talk about the parallels forever and ever guys like genuinely it’s INSANE #my favorite thing is how tennis in challengers and language in past lives essentially play the same role #also justin making the male character who marries the girl named art after celine named him arthur in past lives…YOU ARENT SLICK #also the way arthur is with nora and the way art is with tashi is similar to me #this is why i find it funny when people are like i wish art was real or i need a man down bad like that…LIKE HE IS REAL ITS JUSTIN
