(literally how I named the image, couldn't think of something else)
Hi guys :') To my followers and tumblr friends, I'm really sorry if my sudden disappearance scared or upset you. It wasn't quite... planned. And today was a busy day and I needed some time to consider what I wanted to do.
Short version of the story:
My tumblr account got terminated for copyright infringement. A certain Mr. Green got me in unlucky trouble (ref 1, 2).
I won't get it back, or try to get it back. It's gone.
Needed a moment to consider 2 options: ask Mia to extend my dramatic farewell letter and stay gone, or make a new blog.
Not planning to post new writing here. I won't be using words like 'never' or 'forever' because I'm a known clown with things like this, but the intention is to no longer post fics. I will finish Tickletober on AO3 and then take a break from writing. So yes, I cancel the swiftscribbles event too, sorry!
When I opened my laptop, I could see my old blog in its final hour lmao (I found out about the loss on my phone). So that's what the snap is from on a fitting grave. It was fun while it lasted!
Long version of the story:
Losing my blog(s): My Tumblr account with main blog + sideblogs got terminated overnight, it was quite the surprise! I've either been reported or tracked by bots. The posts are a bunch of numbered URLs I can't open, but the message is clear: for including anime content, genshin impact or media from other sources (whether it's videos, screenshots, official art, gifs or even fanwork) you technically can get a strike. Upon googling the claimer I quickly found this first, and knew it was a lost cause. Although it feels shitty and unlucky, I am in no place to appeal. It's like when I used to make AMVs in the past, you never knew whether a song or even anime footage was going to give your YT account a copyright strike or even a ban, it was a gamble. I have lost YT accounts before, and now I lost the Tumblr one. With 7+ years of tickle trash content and a bunch of sideblogs. But oh well, moving on!
Starting a new blog: It was a serious consideration whether this was my ultimate chance to do what I've always said I wanted to do eventually - quit my blog. My first thought was to ask Mia to share my explanation and literal goodbye with you guys, and stick to my chaos of a Twitter account to indulge in fandom stuff. But then I thought of how happy Tumblr made me, even without the fic writing, but just.. reblogging things, getting random asks, shouting about life and of course, about tickles. I decided to make a new blog after all, but also decided the following:
The 7K+ milestone swiftscribbles event is cancelled, for which I apologize! The follower milestone, together with the motivation to write the fics, and even the asks with the requests I got, all died with my former blog.
I will see how long I can survive without posting a new fic or drabble. A loose headcanon or two might fly around sometime. And if necessary, a link to a new fic on AO3.
Tickletober? Hell yes I'll finish it, I would cringe in bed for 49 days at least if I would stop. I just won't post the fics here, but on AO3.
Reposting/reblogging my old works? Undecided at the moment but I'm tired and lazy. I don't feel too upset since most of my fics are still on AO3 at least and not completely gone.
Anyways, I'll see what happens and how long I can enjoy this nerfed version of blogging.
Surprisingly I'm not upset about losing my other blog, there were a lot of memories but it was also very cringe. I'm gonna be just as cringe here, but at least I feel cleansed.
For those who choose to follow me again, thank you, but please know that there won't be much original content coming from me, for now!:)

A scene based on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic by Lauren Faust and Ask Queen Moon by Gloomy, with characters and story by Fireheart and Dalken Starbyne. ________________________________________________________________
“The moon is quite lovely tonight,” said Moonbeam. The bat pony watched it in the sky as it illuminated the world around her and Fireheart as far as the eye could see. A gentle breeze blew across the grassy plains surrounding them, off and into the mountains beyond. “I wonder, though. Do you remember it ever being just a little brighter?” She glanced over to the pony 1000 years her elder. Despite his experience far beyond what she could hope to imagine, still she couldn’t help but feel protective of him. The Moons had been watching over their dear friend and ward for close to a millennium, and Moonbeam took that responsibility very seriously. Fireheart’s voice came back to her after a moment. “Yes, perhaps once...when I was a colt. The moon was brighter then...” He trailed off as he tried to draw forth memories long past. “But that was such a very long time ago. I can’t--it’s hard to remember...ugh...hurts my head to remember...”
Moonbeam reached a hoof over to settle her friend. "It is alright. Do not fret over it too much. I simply wonder about my ancestors' writings sometimes. The nights never seem quite as clear as they described."
“They are still beautiful stars though aren’t they? Like millions of little gems in the sky...”
"Indeed. I find that if I listen closely enough, I can hear them sing of hope. Perhaps eventually I will see a night like my ancestors described, and we can count the stars together as they once did.”
Fireheart sighed while looking up at the heavens. “I’ve watched these stars since I was a colt and yet...it’s as if something were missing, but I can’t put my hoof on it.” He grunted and put a hoof to his temple. “And it hurts my head to try and think about it.”
"Perhaps this will help," Moonbeam said, and she retrieved a set of scroll cases from her saddlebags. "Then you will not have to focus so much on recalling memories from lifetimes long past." She removed the scrolls from their cases and spread a set of star charts out on the grass, placing rocks on the corners to keep them from furling back up. "My family have kept these since before even you were born. These in particular cover the constellations over this part of Equestria this time of year." As she continued, she pointed her hoof to one that looked particularly worn, then to another on parchment that looked as if it could have been purchased just a few weeks ago. "This chart was drawn by Moon Sabre approximately a decade before you were adopted. The newer one is one I documented last year. Notice anything different?"
Fireheart looked at the document quizzically. They were very similar but, aside from one being older than him, something was...off. “There is something different about this one, but...I can’t put my hoof on it.” Absentmindedly, the pegasus rubbed the scar on his neck, a wound received long ago. “It’s just....ugh. Something different about this one, and it’s not just the age of the paper.” He then threw his head back and looked again to the stars. There was always a kind of solace there, a peace that he found when gazing at them.
Moonbeam pointed her hoof to one of the constellations in particular. "Look at Numina," she said, her hoof gliding over the constellation, and then stopping at a star that was a prominent dot on the old parchment. "This is Luminus, one of the brightest stars in the sky. It is nearly always visible, as am I sure you are familiar. Many ponies use it to navigate by." Her hoof hovered down to another star, marked with significantly less ink. "This is, or at least was, Candela. While not as bright, it was still considered part of the constellation. But at some point, it disappeared from the charts." She pointed to her copy, which, while having the constellations in different positions in the sky, was also missing the noted star, and then leaned over to Fire to point up to the constellation in the sky above them. "With a looking glass, I sometimes think I can see it, but it is difficult to tell if it is just my imagination. Even Luminus is not as bright in the sky as the old charts would imply." She leaned back and looked to Fireheart. "I do not know why. It is possible it is simply due to the changes in our society. More ponies awake at night means more lights, and more lights mean the sky is often dimmed. But I still hope that one night I might see Candela for myself."
The orange pegasus looked at the chart, and then back to the constellation in question. He did this several times, squinting his nocturnal eyes when looking for the missing star. “You’re right. It’s gone. Stars don’t just disappear...” He trailed off again in thought before continuing. “I must ask Mother about this. I’m sure she will know! After all the night sky is her realm. We should ask her.”
Moonbeam tried her best to hide the sadness in her smile. "I would not wish to trouble Her Majesty with such things when she has so many important matters to tend to," she replied.
She removed the stones from the scrolls and started to roll them back into their cases.
Fireheart had a bit of disappointment as well but chose not to push the issue. “Ah...you’re probably right, I suppose.
“Still, though, I appreciate your coming out with me. There aren’t many ponies these days who truly want to be my friend...” He did his best to hide the stinging pain he felt and pushed a smile through.
The mare tucked the scrolls, cases and all, back into her saddlebag, and leaned over to nuzzle against Fireheart. "You will always be cherished, Fireheart," she said. "I am very glad, even if I never get to see the sky as my ancestors did, that they at least passed your friendship along to me. Knowing you has always been and will always be one of my greatest privileges. The sky, at least, always seems a little brighter when you are near." She smiled, more warmly this time, and just stared up at the night sky as she settled into a comfortable silence.

Episode 3.5: Sister Talk
March 30, 2013
Ellie sat on the leather sofa in the basement of the main house as she waited for the video call to connect. She hadn’t intended on telling Chris about her biweekly video chats with her three sisters, but as she stared at his big screen TV she was super glad she had, because he had shown her how to do video call on it.
The last video chat she’d had with all three of her sisters had been a couple days before her first meeting with Chris and she hadn’t told them anything about her new job or living situation just in case the whole thing fell through. Even now that everything was official, she was still a bit nervous about telling her sisters.
Eyes focused on the TV screen, Ellie grinned the second her sisters’ faces appeared in their separate boxes. She waved at them and greeted them each by name.
“Syd!” or Sydney was her oldest sister at 30 years of age. She was married to the best brother-in-law a girl could ask for, Garrett, and they lived in Seattle, Washington. They were also the parents to Ellie’s nephew, Noah, who was five years old and her niece, Chloe, who was three years old.
“Izzy!” or Isabelle was Ellie’s second youngest sister and her best friend in the entire world. Just under three years separated 27 (almost 28) year old Ellie and 25 year old Izzy, which meant they had been close. Unlike the other three girls, Izzy had blond hair like their mother’s side of the family while the other three took after their father’s side. LIke Ellie, Izzy also lived in California, but in the Bay Area where she’d recently graduated from law school. Now she and her boyfriend, Eric Montgomery, were both looking for jobs.
“Riley!” was the youngest of the four girls and was constantly updating her Twitter account with a countdown to her 21st Birthday (124 days). Growing up, she’d followed Ellie and Izzy around, doing whatever they told her to, until she got tired of being bossed around. She then became the teenager that tested their parents’ patience the most. Unlike her three older sisters, who’d gone straight from high school to college, she had taken a couple years off school off and therefore was only a sophomore instead of a senior.
Ellie hadn’t realized how lonely being in the main house and guest house had been after Chris and his mom had left until she was listening to her sisters as they shared the latest news and a little bit of gossip. She still had her job at the bookstore, but it still didn’t make up for the fact that she was coming home to an empty house all the time.
She laughed along with her sisters as they each shared amusing stories, trying to out do each other. It had been Sydney’s tale about her daughter’s ballet recital which had ended with a mouse running across the stage followed by the ballet teacher holding a broom, that had brought tears to their eyes.
Brushing tears from her cheeks, Ellie looked at the screen and knew her time had come when she saw Izzy giving her a suspicious look.
“You’ve been awful quiet tonight,” Izzy said. “And where are you? I can tell you’re not at Aunt Deena’s house because of the white wall behind you, I don’t think there is a single white wall in her house”
“Yeah, about that,” Ellie said, slowly. “I got a job.”
“What?”
“Where?”
“When?”
“Why didn’t you tell us sooner?”
Ellie snicked as her sisters’ questions overlapped each other. She was still nervous about telling them, but she knew she had to. They’d find out soon enough.
“I’m still working at the bookstore,” she told them. “But I’m also working as a housekeeper slash housesitter for the son of someone I met at the store.”
She could tell by the look on Sydney’s face that she wasn’t impressed with the new job and she was pretty sure that Riley was painting her fingernails.
Nervous about how to address the big part of the new job, Ellie chewed on her lower lip.
“You’re not telling us something,” the ever observant Izzy stated. “You only chew on your lower lip like that when you’re not sure what to say.” She leaned in closer to her camera. “What aren’t you telling us Sarah Elaine?”
“My boss is Chris Evans,” Ellie said after waiting an extra moment. “And not the British one.”
“Who?” Sydney asked as Izzy and Riley just stared at their computer screens in shock.
“He plays Captain America in the Marvel movies,” Ellie explained to her older sister.
“And he is fucking hot!” Izzy exclaimed. “I don’t even like superhero stuff, but I dragged Eric to the theater to see that first Captain America movie.”
“Is he really that buff in real life?” Riley asked.
Ellie felt her face flush and heard Izzy gasp.
“OH MY GOD! YOU’VE SEEN HIM NAKED!” her sister shouted through the TV.
Ellie felt her face turn an even brighter shade of red, meaning there was no way she could deny that she had in fact seen Chris completely naked.
“It was an accident,” she said when Izzy finally quieted down. “His mom hired me and he got home earlier than she’d expected and she hadn’t warned him that I was there. So there I was, cleaning the kitchen floor and I turn around and there he is, standing completely naked in the doorway to the kitchen.”
“You saw him naked?!” Sydney said in a delayed response. “Sorry, I had to look him up. I think Garrett has some of those movies, I might need to watch them.”
“Yes, she saw him naked,” Riley replied. “But we haven’t asked her the important question yet.”
As Ellie watched, matching smirks appeared on her sisters’ faces and she knew exactly what they wanted to know: just what was he hiding under his clothes.
She’d known who Chris was before even met Lisa, but she hadn’t known that Lisa was Chris’ mom until she’d taken the job. So she had known what she was getting herself into, she’d seen his movie “What’s Your Number?” and there hadn’t been much to imagine after the scene with the towel and the apple, but seeing it on a TV screen with her sister Izzy was nothing like having the real, naked man right in front of her.
It didn’t take much effort for Ellie to recall the scene from the morning she and Chris had met. His hair had been longer than normal and his beard had been shaggier than she’d seen in promotional photographs, but given that he’d just spent two weeks in hibernation, it had made sense. There had been hair on his chest as well, the perfect amount in her opinion.
“WELL?!” Izzy demanded interrupting her thoughts.
Ellie kept them waiting a moment longer as she remembered that particular part of Chris’s anatomy that had been the first point of contact that her eyes had settled upon that morning: the beautiful, err manly, organ in between his thick thighs. She wasn’t an expert, though hardly a novice, when it came to penises, but Chris’s had certainly looked better than those of her ex boyfriends. Better taken care of, that was for sure, especially when it had come to the small tuft of hair at the base.
Then there had been the penis itself. It had been a good length; not too short where you’d be crossing your fingers praying he was a grower not a shower, but not too long where you’d be afraid of it getting longer and damaging your lady parts. She’d only seen him straight on, so she hadn’t been able to tell exactly how thick he was, but he hadn’t been pencil thin, that was for sure. And from where she’d been sitting on the floor, his balls had looked healthy, too.
“SARAH ELAINE!” Riley shouted at the screen.
Ellie smiled and then calmly said, “He’s my boss, so I’ll just keep it simple. There is not a single thing about him to complain about.”
Her sisters laughed and Izzy let out of whistle.
“Fuck, the girls’ on my floor are planning to watch ‘What’s Your Number?’ tomorrow night,” Riley said with a groan. “Now I’m going to have to sit there knowing that my sister knows exactly what he has going on behind that towel!”
“You guys can’t say anything to anyone about this,” Ellie said, seriously. “You three, me, his mom and him are the only ones that know.”
“Wait, how does his mom know?” Sydney asked.
“You know how I mentioned he got home earlier than planned?” Ellie said. “Well he was doing the Full Monty in the kitchen when his mom got to his place. She found us in the kitchen, me still on my knees on one side of the room and Chris trying to cover himself with a roll of paper towels. She sent him upstairs to get dressed and I thought she was going to fire me, but she just laughed!”
She couldn’t help join her sisters as they laughed over the awkward situation.
“So other than being a complete God physically, what’s he like?” Izzy asked her.
“I haven’t gotten to spend much time with him,” Ellie shrugged. “He was here for a week and then he was off to film a new movie.”
“So there were no sparks?” Sydney asked.
“Sparks? You mean romantically?” Ellie replied, staring at her older sister in surprise. “I just met the guy and he is my boss.”
“You took five minutes to answer the question about whether his penis lived up to the rest of his God-like stature,” Riley pointed out with a smug grin.
“It’s called suspense,” Ellie replied. “I had information you wanted and I’ve always loved holding that over your head.” She rolled her eyes. “Besides, Chris is a celebrity. He isn’t going to date, let alone sleep with, his housekeeper, especially not one hand picked by his mom.”
“Ellie, you’re worth more than any celebrity out there,” Sydney said with a smile. “If Chris can’t see that then you don’t need him.”
“And if he can see that then you need to get with him,” Izzy added with a smirk. “And then tell us all about the motion in his ocean!”
“Every single detail,” Riley agreed.
“Oh, is that a thing now?” Sydney asked, pulling the attention of her two youngest sisters. “If so, then we have a lot of catching up to do about Garrett. Let me tell you, my husband can -“
“Oh look at the time!” Izzy exclaimed while Riley covered her ears and loudly sang, “La la la la.”
Sydney winked at Ellie and then said, “Well I have little monsters to put to bed. And the night is still young for you three, go have some fun.”
“Night Syd,” the other three chorused.
Sydney waved and then disappeared from the video chat.
“I should probably finish writing the essay that I have due tomorrow,” Riley said with a frown. “Either of you know anything about music theory?” Ellie and Izzy shook their heads. “I figured as much. Night guys.”
“So, when can I come for a visit?” Izzy asked with a smile once it was just her and Ellie.
“I don’t know if I can have visitors,” Ellie replied. “Especially overnight, freeloading sisters.”
“Well ask your hunky boss and let me know,” Izzy said before redirecting her attention to something off camera. “Alright, Eric just decided he’s hungry, so we’re going to go get food.”
“Later,” Ellie replied. She turned off the video chat and reset the TV to its proper settings. Then she went upstairs and made sure the big house was locked up for the night before retiring to the cozy, studio apartment-like guesthouse she called home.

Most of my Facebook feed is made up of debate, conversation, and sharing of great music in a group called “New wave of Classic Rock”. Whilst there are always differences of opinion in matters of “taste”, they are always friendly and light-hearted. In recent months however, those differences of opinion were expressed much more forcibly when one band was mentioned; Inglorious. Facebook posts and Twitter feeds were full of reposts of leaving announcements, rants, apologies, explanations, counter allegations, and drama. Sides were taken. Battle lines drawn. Posts deleted when they became too argumentative. As always in such soap operas, the truth was known by few, but claims to know the truth were expressed by many.
The new album was released, which simply stoked the fires. The songs were recorded by people who would never play them live on stage together. The album itself was something of a departure to the previous material. In my eyes, it was more mature, introspective, not as brash, but others stated loudly that they preferred the previous bombast. New band members were announced, and a tour went on sale. There was no way I was missing this one!
Opening the evening, on a freezing and potentially snowy Tuesday evening, were local band Flowerpot. I have seen the girls (as they were previously an all female band) a few times before, but this was a stage far bigger than any I have seen them tread and they grasped the opportunity with every ounce of their being. Fronting Flowerpot, Steph Kiddle is born to take centre stage. Never still from the off, her powerful vocals and commanding presence quickly won the crowd over. Flanking her was relatively new guitarist Tom Prangley. In the past, the issue for Flowerpot has been a bit of a gap in that position, but his music ability and greater visibility raised the bar considerably. Rhythm came from Morgan Pearce on bass and Jess Hartley on drums, and they laid down a pretty heavy basis for Steph’s show(wo)manship. Their set flew by in a blur of flying hair, crushing guitars, and powerfully delivered vocals and they deserved the warm reaction they got from the Bristol crowd.
The meat in the sandwich came courtesy of London trio City Of Thieves. I have a love of the simplicity that comes with a three-piece, and City of Thieves didn’t let me down at all as they delivered a set of powerful rock played with confidence. Vocal duties were taken care of by Jamie Lailey as he struggled with a recalcitrant bass. It was clearly playing up, but he never let it get to him, and the huge sound coming from guitarist Ben Austwick, coupled with his raw vocal style, meant that often his efforts to solve the problem were the only indication it existed! Will Richards’ drumming behind them kept everything pacy and raced them through the set. Stand out songs that you should give a listen to include; “Reality Bites”, “Buzzed Up City” and “Animal” Listening to their album “Beast Reality” on the drive back to Devon made the journey fly by.
Finally, it was time to see the result of all those aforementioned changes. Inglorious are visually different for sure, and when Nathan joins them, he is dressed down compared to other times I have seen him, clad in modest black. Joining him on stage were old compatriot Phil Beaver one drums (and surprisingly good backing vocals), along with bassist Vinnie Colla and the twin guitars of Danny Dela Cruz and Dan Stevens. The sound was thickened by a keyboard player, sat back in the shadows, who remained anonymous throughout the set.
The first few songs gave no hint at what was soon to come. Inglorious opened with “Where Are You Now?” from the new album. It’s a great opener, as it shows the new and more mature sound of that album beautifully. The band were tight, and James’ voice sounding strong but more controlled, with the high notes as explosions to savour rather than a continued wall of scream. “Taking The Blame” and “High Flying Gypsy” followed on with minimal interaction with the crowd. So far it was a decent show from a good band playing Classic Rock as many other bands might do.
“Read All About It” was the first song I was able to really experience once we left the photo pit, as being that close to whoever you are shooting tends to be the sound you hear, and you don’t really get a proper sound mix. The next song was from the new album and James introduced it as a song he wanted to do early whilst his voice was still strong. The band (including Phil Beaver, introduced by James as “multi-instrumentalist Phil Beaver”) brought acoustic instruments to the stage, the lights dropped to just a few spots, and the next few minutes were truly sublime. I rarely film a snippet of a live gig, but I wanted to share what I was hearing with my partner at home in Devon. The crowd were utterly silent and totally enraptured. The clarity and range of the vocals were astounding, but it was the passion and emotion in the delivery that genuinely moved people around me to tears. There were a few moments at the end of the song where people had to shake themselves out from whatever places they had gone and come back to a cold night in Bristol and the rest of the gig, before a huge ovation filled the air. “Warning” went the other way with a series of vocal gymnastics that made my eyes water. “Making Me Pay”, “Freak Show” and “Breakaway” followed and highlighted some of the differences between the new and older material, but also the depth of catalogue Inglorious are building up.
Then, never-to-be-forgotten moment number two: James introduced something different, a cover of Alanis Morissette’s “Uninvited”. It was dark and atonal, full of other-worldly harmonies. The vocals simply soared around the venue. James then left the stage, and the thus far relatively anonymous guitarist Danny Dela Cruz stepped forward into the limelight. Holy Crap! Think Blackmore crossed with Randy Rhoads. The scales were Middle Eastern in that way that Rainbow were unique. The speed of his fingers up and down the fretboard eye-watering, but never at the expense of the underlying rhythm and melody, in the same way Randy Rhoads made his own. I found myself stood there in open-mouthed wonder. James returned (in much more sparkly costume) and lauded his praises, then announced that he is only 19 years old! There may be a hardcore of supporters of previous band members who have been taking out their frustration online, but I can only think that in a matter of a few more performances they will be a distant memory if this was anything to go by.
“Ride To Nowhere” was followed by James spending a little time talking about the departure of former Inglorious members. Describing it as a tough last year, he says how pleased he is to be playing with the new musicians on stage and then, with a knowing smile, introduced the next song, “Liar”. He continued to talk about the challenges of the last year, introducing his family, who were there to see the show, and talking about the fact that he now lives in Devon. He got visibly emotional as he discussed the death of both his grandfather and best friend and then dedicated the song “Faraway” to them. It was another incredibly poignant vocal, and the lyrics were sung with immense feeling and power.
“I Don’t Need Your Loving” was the penultimate song of the main set, and led into easily my favourite song from the new album, “I Don’t Know You”. I have seen Inglorious a few times now, and the bluesy, soulful vibe of this song showcases what they should be about better than any other. Inglorious were immense. The solos were en pointe, and the vocals utterly sublime as they built and swelled with almost painful emotion. There is one note, near the end, that simply beggars belief, and to attempt it live, let alone hit it and hold it, was worth the price of admission alone. Inglorious returned for the encore, and for a while there was confusion at the sound of the vocals but no singer. A bright light appeared at the back of the venue, and James appeared walking through the crowd, slapping hands and surrounding himself with fans as he serenaded them with “Holy Water”. Back on stage for set closer “Until In Die”, and you were reminded again just how strong an Inglorious set is after a third album.
James has been given a hard time in recent months on social media. Accusations of rampant ego abound, and his response possibly ill-advised, but some of the best musicians of this genre from the past were accused of similar and had the same revolving door policy with band members. The difference was, in their era you couldn’t drop a plectrum and have it posted on Twitter before it hit the ground.
Take Inglorious as they are now. An incredible vocalist who is adding passion and soul (and restraint?) to his formidable range, a tight band of musicians to realise the strength of the back catalogue and, in Danny Dela Cruz, a guitarist of rare talent to work with James and take the new music yet to be written to a whole different plane.
