Are you going to write more romantic stuff like SaP? If so, what characters do you have in mind?

Romantic stuff, probably. 

Fic, probably not. But maybe. idk? yeah.

I’ve said this a bunch before, but SaP was never meant to be as long as it is, which I think was a benefit. I had a lot more freedom with how I wanted to develop the story (y/n being Ramuda’s employee and the stalking thing were really spur of the moment ideas but that’s a whole other conversation). I loved playing around with the dynamic between Ichiro and y/n, and portraying Ichiro the way I wanted to. Also indulging in the camboy au was chefs kiss.

I have two asks in my inbox from aaaaaages ago, and compared to when I first started doing short requests, I’m finding it to be super hard to write something short and romantic that I’m happy with. It’s honestly kind of daunting. I don’t want to write the same thing a bunch of times, because let’s be honest there are only so many ways you can write cuddling in 500 words, even if it’s with different people. I know it’s a wonderful thing to read about yourself snuggling with your best boy over and over but writing it is a whole other beast. And I don’t mean the actual content. I’m confident enough in my writing that I can make people happy with my responses. It’s having the mental energy to write something the same but also new. That’s also why I think those published authors who write the same white cishet giant guy tiny girl they fuck 100 pages in trash romance again and again must not be sane in the slightest. 

I have a couple of personal works that centre around two characters forming bonds over time (whether they’re romantic or not, we’ll have to see) and when I think about writing romance I think about them. I haven’t been keeping up with hypmic lore and stuff for a while for a bunch of reasons I won’t talk about unless you want me to ramble for miles more. I haven’t been in the best place for a while and I have higher priorities concerning writing in general. That’s not to say I won’t ever write here again! I miss the time when I blasted out multiple posts a week. Who even was that lmao. I’m even finding it difficult to write this last chapter, even though I’m pumped to get it done and to show everyone.

I check up on this blog almost every day, and seeing people in the notes still giving attention to my writing is super nice to see, but I do feel a certain disappointment in myself because I haven’t posted anything new in ages. I most likely won’t write any fic as long as SaP as far as I can see. If we get big development with the characters (because the guys at kr love giving us nothing) then maybe I’ll be inspired to write something but we’ll have to wait and see if that happens.

I have no idea if this reply makes sense. I find it hard to put into words exactly what I mean but yeah.
