@daikonsalad hey so I’ve read the trilogy far more times than I’ve seen the movies and if you looked at the subtext in all three books the reason Katniss doesn’t want kids is because she feels unsafe in her own country. Because of the hunger games. But literally after 15 years when it’s clear that Panem is heading into a better direction she feels SAFE ENOUGH to make the choice to have children.

Sure whatever it’s a stereotype for female characters to have kids at the end of books. But in this case, with this particular character, it was the Correct decision. I have read these books over and over again for well over a decade do NOT argue with me on this.

“It was explicitly stated in the text she didn’t want kids” please use your context clues and don’t fucking assume I don’t know these books like the back of my hand.

Everyone who says Katniss and Peeta having kids in the epilogue wasn’t the most in character ending for them needs to reread the books are you kidding me.
