It's again that time of the week where I have to go and report the spam and/or porn bots from the tags I follow because every time I see one of their posts on my dashboard I die inside a little bit
#wren text tag#aro/ace tag and the spam bot war here I am#also in the StS tag like bruh it's not even that active why do I see 1 spam bot in the first page already#how the fuck did you find this tag. It hasn't been trending in years.#not gonna say the fandom it's dead but like#there are 6 people actively posting here on tumblr (<- forgotten hellsite)#and 1 of them is like a general news blog abt the serie#(and one of them is me lol)#I love joining fandom 30 years after they first aired so in the end their popolarity is already gone and I'm left here with idk#3 other people that have made the same bad decision as me lol#like virtually I wouldn't mind to idk post my art also on other websites like uhhh Twitter or uhhh Instagram#(looks at the list of websites that don't use AI) OH yeah definitely not them#The StS fandom on twitter be thriving btw. I think it's because its platform is used by a lot of Asian fan... unlike tumblr#and the serie is still a lot more popular in the East#I'd give Twitter a chance but I don't like the platform. Everytime I log in I see some drama or AI art getting 40k likes and I close the ap#also fandom discourse like hhhhhh

Fandoms fixate on things and bylers are gonna fixate on byler. That’s a no brainer. If we’re talking about other aspects of the show, we’re probably not gonna tag it byler. Not that that stops anyone since most tags unrelated to gay ships are dead on tumblr and so most bylers just use this tag for all ST related things.
Tbh I blocked out your rewatch tag because you were posting so much and it flooded the tag since it’s pretty dead now as it is with hiatus. Maybe that’s why you weren’t getting any engagement up until recently because you got rid of wewes rewatch 🤣
Feel free to keep making valid critiques and tag it as whatever you want, but don’t bother with trying to understand fandoms doing what they do best. Fixating on what they want to and not what they don’t.

Unfortunately the approach of pointing out all the shitty aspects of the show doesn’t have much longevity in fandom, bc it gets depressing and lonely when no one wants to join the misery. And that’s okay!! Do you wewe!!

People talk about falling down the stairs on the byler tag, so I can definitely tag ST related stuff as byler as that's a more active tag and others have been using it just the same while the actual ST tag is filled with st/eddie.

If you had some patience and some reading comprehension maybe you'd understand why I made the OG post. It is not even addressed to ALL Bylers. LMAO. But to those that engage in discussions over writing. Which also requires a grasp over reading. How you're carrying on with just one of those is frankly admirable.
