#also in terms of caring about the patient House is better than chase somehow

now that the week is done I can finally talk about my current rewatching of the first two seasons of House (I won't watch more. Seasons 3 and 4 are my favorites and if I get to them I might just keep going through to the end and I do not have the time)
and anyway my main takeaway is that a) the fandom doesn't talk about Foreman enough. Foreman is the best character of the show. Ok no he isn't it's Cuddy but he's also pretty good he's my favorite of the team including House. Where is the love for Foreman on this website. How everybody inexplicably keeps saying he's too much like house when he literally isn't. Every day he gets angry at people being racist to him and people call him grumpy and stubborn. Which he is but like. Not like House At All. DW dude you're literally the only good doctor on the team and also you're a smug bastard I love you. How literally every single disease so far was brain-related and he's the brain doctor. What are Chase and Cameron even doing there. Their contributions so far were so intermittent
b) the way my memory of this show had completely erased Chase off of the show is so funny paired up with every single episode finding out some other unexpected personality trait of his. He's literally so bad it's captivating. Like what do you mean he was briefly a dom and was in the New Jersey BDSM scene. What do you mean he said a 10 year old with obesity deserves to die cause she did it to herself. What do you mean he had sex with Cameron when he knew she was off her tits in meth and knew this was bad. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE KISSED A 9 YEAR OLD ON THE LIPS.
#chase is way more like house than foreman is. i said it#the only problem is that chase pathologically sucks up to his boss#and house would never do that#also in terms of caring about the patient House is better than chase somehow#fake ass bastard he is#but foreman? aggressively overcautious foreman??? who almost always refuses to take risks foreman?#who only occasionally bends the rules for his own benefit but otherwise works by the book#house is always like 'rules are for loosers' and breaks the rules almost for fun#foreman is like 'the rules are here for a reason and they're good and morally pure. let me break them rn dw it's the last time I promise'#this is fundamentally a different character from house. Foreman is a hypocrite#who acts all high and mighty but also doesn't obey the rules if he can't be assed#and he is a loner but he doesn't hate humanity like house. and house actually has 1 (one) friend#while foreman is almost incapable of friendship being so holier than thou#sorry about this rant I love Foreman he is the best and he sucks

☆.。.:* Kenma, Oikawa, and Tendou comforting their s/o .。.:*☆
Warnings: Stress (school stress), anxiety, and friendship struggles (this one directly relates to me so I’m sorry if you can’t enjoy it TwT)
Genre: Fluff, some angst
Reader: Gender neutral
A/n: I’ve been going through some stuff regarding school, friendship, etc. and wrote out these headcanons to make myself feel better TwT. If you’re going through something like this, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you want to talk about it!! I would love to help anyone who’s in need feel at least a little bit better <3
Kozume Kenma
➷ this week has been a really rough week in school
➷ and when i say really rough week, i mean really rough week
➷ you’ve been getting tons more homework than you usually get and there’s been a lot more projects and in-class essays that you had to work on/study for
➷ by the end of the week, you’re basically ready to sleep for 18 hours straight and not care about school or homework for a month
➷ it’s been really stressful
➷ a certain someone, however, noticed what you were going through and saw how much you’ve been struggling
➷ yes, his name is kozume kenma and he is your lovely boyfriend
➷ he’s in a different class/level as you so he didn’t get the assignments you had and received less work than you did that week
➷ every time you guys met up either before school, during lunch, or after school, he noticed the bags under your eyes and the look of absolute exhaustion in your eyes
➷ he felt terrible because he wanted to take that stressed look off of your face but no matter what he did, you seemed to still be struggling a lot
➷ so on friday after school, he organized a little stress-relieving hang out without you knowing
➷ you guys usually went to your own houses to change out of your school uniform and drop off your school bags before going to each other’s houses so you first went back to your own house before going to kenma’s
➷ he first made it seem like you guys were just going to hang out and cuddle or something but to your surprise, when you walked into his house, there were bowls of your favorite snacks and a faint smell of your favorite scented candle wafting through his home
➷ you widened your eyes when you first walked in and the little anxious smile on kenma’s face was ADORABLE
➷ you immediately hugged him and though he was shocked, he immediately wrapped his arms around you and squeezed you tightly
➷ “i know you’ve been really stressed out lately so i wanted you to relax today and to let go of it all”
➷ you damn near cried because you really didn’t think your game-loving introverted boyfriend would do something this caring for you
➷ he led you to the sofa where there were a bunch of blankets and snacks laid out in front of it with the tv pointer already hovering over your favorite show
➷ once you both sat down, he immediately wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into his chest to cuddle while also reaching to grab a blanket to drape it over you two
➷ it was honestly really rare how forward and affectionate he was but he’s doing this all for you and that made your heart positively melt
➷ he started your favorite show and let you settle down with a bowl of your favorite snack in your guys’ laps
➷ this little surprise was just the thing you needed and you can’t believe how absolutely lucky you are to have such a caring boyfriend like kenma <3
Oikawa Tooru
➷ today was,,,, not a great day to put it frankly
➷ you forgot your pencil for the test you had in your first class (you even showed up late to it too!), you accidentally took a book from your own personal stack instead of the needed textbook, you forgot your lunch at home, and you also accidentally got your shoes wet because there was a puddle next to the outdoor water fountain
➷ today was a terrible day
➷ on top of that, your boyfriend kept on getting distracted with different volleyball regimes he was looking at and interrupted your conversation twice because of his fangirls
➷ not even your closest friends could turn your frown upside down
➷ honestly, once school ended, you were ready to just go straight home without talking to anyone and read comfort books and listen to music that calmed you down
➷ however, before you could leave the school campus, oikawa ran up to you to ask if you wanted to hang out and go to the park and have a nice cup of hot chocolate while you’re at it
➷ at first you were confused because didn’t he have volleyball practice?? the same thing that caused him to get distracted from you??
➷ but then you remembered that it was only the first day of the week and his team didn’t have practices on mondays
➷ you first tried to refuse because i mean he was also one of the reasons why you were upset!!
➷ but he kept on whining and begging you to join him for a stroll in the park so you were basically forced to join him he’s so whiny and spoiled oh my god 🙄
➷ little did you know, he actually did notice you were in a bad mood and was actually trying to make you feel better by taking you out on a date
➷ sure, he did get carried away and didn’t necessarily cater to what you might’ve wanted from him but nobody is perfect!! he makes mistakes and isn’t a perfect person all the time too
➷ he wanted to make it up to you and take the other struggles you faced today off of your shoulders
➷ he grabbed your hand and led you to the little cafe next to the park to get yourselves some hot chocolate. he of course paid for you even though you downright refused but hey he’s just trying to make you feel better!!
➷ after you guys got your hot chocolate and headed towards the park, you started feeling a bit better
➷ the hot chocolate was of course warm and absolutely divine but you also noticed how no matter what, oikawa didn’t take his attention off of you and didn’t even talk about the things that annoyed you before like volleyball or his fangirls
➷ he was putting in effort to make you feel better and it warmed your heart 🥺
➷ as you guys walked around the park, he scooched you closer to him so that you guys could snuggle into each other’s warmth
➷ it was really sweet and the cup of hot cocoa made it sweeter <3
➷ when you occasionally looked up to him while having your conversation, he had the softest smile on his face which made you absolutely melt
➷ it felt so nice to have your boyfriend give you the attention you needed and to make you feel better after the hellish day of school and life
➷ and he felt so happy to have such a lovely s/o to spend these simple but sweet moments with and to be able to be there when you needed him <333
Tendou Satori
➷ your friends,,,, yes your fun, loving, and absolutely precious friends
➷ they’ve been with you through thick and thin and you seriously would do anything for them
➷ but if that’s so, why would you feel so hesitant on loving them???
➷ they haven’t done a major thing that would cause you to hate them
➷ all you remember are those little lingering thoughts of anxiety and sadness that are most likely normal in every friendship no matter what
➷ how did it come to the point where you don’t know if you can spend the time and energy loving them as much as you used to???
➷ you’ve been dwelling on this for the past month or so and honestly, it came to the point where your friends along with your boyfriend could tell that something was up with you
➷ whenever they asked, you always responded with a lame excuse and even though sometimes it worked, a lot of the times they still had their doubts
➷ you still tried to act mostly normal with your friends and tried to act like there was nothing wrong with how you viewed them but day by day it was getting harder to come to terms with how you felt and if you really believed you loved them as much as you said you did
➷ it even came to the point where you started distancing yourself from them a little bit to come to terms with how you felt and to give yourself a break
➷ tendou was the most keen of your struggles and tried to read you to see if he could figure out the problem but even if he got it right, you would always deny it and say it was nothing
➷ today, he had enough of your evasive behavior and was determined to get to the bottom of whatever you were feeling
➷ of course he wanted to make you feel better but at the same time, he felt lonely and even started to partially blame your off behavior on himself
➷ i mean how could he not when you acted more hesitant about everything??
➷ the school day went about mostly normal and nothing out of the ordinary happened but while you were hanging out with your friends, tendou was trying to find ways on how to directly confront you
➷ by the end of the school day, he made up his mind and decided to just lead you to his dorm to have a heart to heart without any distractions
➷ so once school ended, tendou immediately told you that he wanted to hang out at his dorm that day and you quickly obliged though you were slightly shocked at how determined he was for such a simple thing
➷ he led you to his dorm and once you both settled into his bed while cuddling, he immediately cut to the chase
➷ “why have you been really hesitant lately? what happened?? did i do something to make you upset somehow?? and don’t try to evade it too, i want the true answer without any sugar coating”
➷ at first, you widened your eyes and took a bit of time to collect your thoughts. tendou waited patiently with his arms still wrapped around you in a comforting embrace
➷ he squeezed you a bit sometimes just to remind you that he was there and that he wouldn’t mind waiting for a long time for your answer
➷ once you gathered your thoughts, you started talking about how you felt about your friends. not the way you would describe them normally but the way you truly felt about them. the weird, lonely, almost heart-breaking feeling you felt since a while ago that you never bothered to mention
➷ he stayed quiet and listened while you vented and explained what you were going through and how you were truly feeling
➷ he slightly chuckled when you hurriedly told him that he wasn’t part of the problem and that he was as perfect as he could possibly be
➷ he squeezed you tightly and kissed the top of your head for that but let you carry on
➷ once you finished talking, there were little streams of tears running down your face with your boyfriend trying to wipe them away and comfort you as best as he could
➷ he didn’t know how exactly to deal with this because he never personally went through something like it but he made sure you knew that he was going to be there with you no matter what and that he would be a safe space whenever you needed someone
➷ his loving words and embrace made you cry harder as you felt a huge weight lift off of your chest once you finally talked about how you were feeling to someone, especially your boyfriend
➷ if he hadn’t been there for you and forced you to talk about how you felt, you truly wouldn’t have known what you would do and if you would eventually break later on
➷ you truly felt like the luckiest person alive with his arms wrapped around your warm body

WION exclusive: India deserved Moody's upgrade much earlier, says Sanjay Baru
In an exclusive interview with WION's Kartikeya Sharma, Sanjay Baru, Secretary General, FICCI says that in 1990s, Prime Minister Rao was blamed for the setback in the assembly elections as defeats were heaped on reforms. Even today there is a criticism of PM on hurting the electoral prospects in Gujarat. Some of the reforms have an impact on growth and employment but over a period of time, things will recover. Congress too recovered. Here is the full text of the interview
Q: What explains Moody’s new ratings?
A: Moody’s new ratings are delayed and ratings should have been upgraded sometime back. In a sense, Moody is catching up. They have recognized what has been done in India rather than us doing something new or special. Other rating agencies are yet to catch up.
Q: The ratings have come in the wake of demonetization and GST when experts are saying that economy has shrunk?
A: I think Moody has used GST and other policy changes. India deserved upgrade much earlier. Indian economy is a good story to tell. India’s story is a strong story.
Q: Will these ratings have an impact on the economy?
A: It makes easier to borrow internationally as rates are much below the interest rates available in India.
Q: Many experts say that this still calls for greater fiscal prudence?
A: There was fiscal liberalism in UPA. They spent money before 2009 elections and then during the financial crisis. This government has been fiscally prudent. We at FICCI believe that roadmap which was announced was a conservative roadmap. We are a developing country and private investment is not picking up and overall growth has slowed down. So, I don’t feel anything wrong in government spending a little more to boost demand.
Q: But high deficit levels also remain a cause for concern?
A: I agree. We shouldn’t be having a high deficit. Going from 3.2 percent of the GDP to 3.5 percent of the GDP is not such big slippage and India should not be punished for a little additional spending. If the government wants to spend on electricity and rural housing then it should be allowed as it will have a positive impact on development.
Q: Are you saying that investment in rural economy would benefit?
A: It’s much better like this. If you expect the future to be better then you take different decisions in terms of spending and savings which helps the economy. If you think future is not bright then spending gets reduced, people save a little more and demand goes down. If the future seems positive then economy benefits from it and that’s what precisely drove the Indian economy from 2003 to 2012. For 9 years India had 8 percent growth because India was optimistic. Since then the steps taken by the previous government and inadequate steps taken by the present government meant that the overall sentiment became negative. In last one year PM Modi has turned the tide around and has made the mood positive.
Q: Does GST 2.0 version satisfies the industry?
A: Not yet. Most people and Indian business wants fewer rates. We began with too many rates but we must understand that any tax reforms, the government tends to be extremely cautious. The biggest challenge for Finance Ministry is to ensure that change doesn’t lead to fall in revenue. I think high rates were introduced to see what sort of impact it will have on the revenue. First month the revenue went down and subsequently, it picked up. This has given government confidence that even if some commodities are to be taken off from high bands then revenue would not suffer. It is entirely understandable that no government would take up reforms which would reduce its ability to spend. A tax reform needs to be revenue neutral and when it came to GST no one knew as to what the impact would be. And seeing the reality on the ground the government has recalibrated which is very good. It is good the government admits that there is a need for change.
Q: Can be GST be equated with reforms unleashed by PV Narsimha Rao and Manmohan Singh?
A: In a manner, yes and in field of taxation it is a fundamental change as we have moved into a new regime. In 1991, licensing regime was brought to an end and that was the big reform. The trade policy reforms happened too and then fiscal stabalisation happened. That had a negative impact. People forget that economy’s growth rate from 5 percent in 1989 went down to 0.8 percent in 1991. The economy collapsed for a year. It was almost like giving a booster shot to a patient. Then the recovery began and Indian economy bounced back. The impact of GST is similar. Initial impact is negative but over a period of time the impact would be positive.
Q: So, good economics makes for bad politics?
A: In some ways, yes. In 1990s within Congress, Prime Minister Rao was blamed for setback in the assembly elections as defeats were heaped on reforms. Even today there is criticism of PM on hurting the electoral prospects in Gujarat. Some of the reforms have impact on growth and employment but over a period of time things will recover. Congress too recovered.
Q: So, what you are saying is that GST is not only about transformative economics but also a change in behaviour and state making its presence felt? It is also about compliance.
A: Absolutely. This is one point successive Prime Ministers have spoken about and that being low tax GDP ratio in India. Even tax compliance is low. People don’t pay tax. You have people driving AUDI’s but they don’t pay tax. Forcing people to pay tax is not a popular thing to do but not country can afford not doing so. In US, it is a different thing when they reduce taxes as they are at a different level. They can afford it but the state in India is expected to spend on health and infrastructure. Where will the money come from?
Q: Many detractors say that Demonetisation built more political than economic muscle. But did it really work against black money?
A: They were three different objectives to this scheme. First, there was the whole thing about the cashless economy then second was to unearth black money and third was political. It changed the political discourse. After the initial defeats the Delhi and Bihar, demonetization changed the political narrative for them. The political benefit was found in Uttar Pradesh. The jury is still out on black economy as to how much black money was impacted. Government is also right in saying that they have the information to chase those who don’t pay taxes but we still hear about corruption. On digital transaction, the data is positive. To that extent, it has had a positive impact.
Q: Does Modi’s politics and economics somehow resembles that of Indira Gandhi?
A: In some ways, yes. Mrs. Gandhi’s strategy was to position as the messiah of poor who took away the privileges of the rich. She nationalized banks and did away with privy purse. It did hurt the private wealth but projected herself as the messiah of poor. It is very similar to PM Modi who has taken cudgels on behalf of the poor. Vijay Mallya is on the run and there are notices against him. His assets are being seized and banks are demanding recovery.
Q: Vijay Mallya is the poster boy of bad debts. Do you think the government has done enough to plug the present loopholes?
A: Not entirely. But the bankruptcy bill and the decision to support the banks have ensured compliance. We at FICCI support corporate governance. All members would like to see Indian business operating in a financially transparent manner in which no one is cheating the government of the day. I think the political leadership should be careful to not to paint every businessman as corrupt or doing illegal things. It is like media saying that every politician is corrupt. Then the political class shoots back saying every journalist is corrupt. The blanket categorization is incorrect. This campaign against black money and people who are holding on to bank’s money should not become a campaign against businesses as a whole. It discourages investments at home and many companies find it easier to do business abroad. This should not happen. We must instill confidence in global business and foreign investment will only happen to us when Indian companies remain invested in India.
Q: This is happening at a time when many people would say that global capital has not benefitted the middle class? Look how US voted?
A: India is not a homogenous entity. There are many states who have benefited from globalization. Kerala has been saved by globalization. IT boom is a positive aspect of globalization. Every country had to deal with the cost of it. Look at Indian economy after 1991. We have done better on all counts. The post 1991 story of Indian economy being integrated into the world is a positive story. West is under pressure. The decline in job opportunities in West is part of a historical process. For last 300 years, Asia went down and Europe and North America went up. Now Asia is rising. Asia will continue to rise. This process will not stop. West has to live with it.
Q: Is rise in the prices of the crude impact the economy?
A: Studies suggest that up to 70 dollars are factored into our pricing strategy. Energy mix in India too is changing. More use of renewable is happening. International market is also changing and US too has become a source of energy. India has entered into agreements with new emerging markets. So, both supply and demand sides are changing.
Q: Make in India and Made in India have not taken off. Why?
A: There is no single India. This was an initiative of UPA and Make in India programme is an extended part of it. The problem of Make in India is that not enough was done on the ease of doing business which is now being the focus. The second reason is that we were hesitant in FDIs in defence. We have opened the door but the other side is still waiting and attempt must be made to draw them in and tell them that doors will not shut and if they would like to go then they would be allowed.
Q: What does FICCI expect from the budget?
A: We expect a little pause on the fiscal side. GDP has not grown very fast. We expect that it would have a positive impact on demand. There was a commitment on part of the government to rationalize corporate tax. I hope that policy objective is met. We would like corporate tax is reduced. The rate is regarded as too high. The government also wants to bring it down but as it is the last budget it strikes the right balance between political compulsions and economy.
Q: EU has brought in laws to curtail Chinese imports. Do you believe that we have been far too liberal with the Chinese?
A: This is a big issue. The trade deficit with China is unacceptable. We have repeatedly raised this issue with successive governments and one of the reasons for the deficit is that Indian exporters find it difficult to do business in China. They have a non-transparent economy and many disincentives. We must pay greater attention to this. There has been a public campaign on this issue too.
Q: Why does China get away with it?
A: The reason is that we are trying to engage China on the economic side to offset the differences on the political side like border dispute. We have been bit generous to China in last many years and that generosity is being tested. India finally agreed to work in QUAD. These are responses to the fact that Chinese aren’t attentive. See what they are doing in Pakistan and they have also been not attentive to the issues of terrorism. They are testing us. After all they are neighbours. Beyond a point India also gets tired. We took a tough line in Doklam and said enough is enough.
Q: You took over as the Secretary-General of FICCI recently. What policy direction are you trying to give?
A: FICCI is a ninety-year organization. In 1927 Gandhi called GD Birla and JRD Tata asked them that Indian business should be part of the national freedom. That is how FICCI was born. FICCI is the voice of the Indian business. This role got bit diluted by other things which FICCI did like doing more events rather than invest in research and technology. We would strengthen the knowledge capacity of FICCI. We have signed the memorandum of understanding with ICMR. We have the agreement with Indian armed forces to look at what Indian industry do for them to innovate on new technologies. We want to be a knowledge-based institution and not as a source of lobby and seminars. This will strengthen the personality of FICCI.

Next up: Logic?
Greetings everyone, (see end of post for action requested and trying to stay productive)
I cannot believe I have not thought of this before, yet then again it is me and thinking about stuff way too late is pretty standard.
Last week I saw an article where President Trump (excuse me I must throw up while I type these words) met with the CEOs of leading healthcare companies. So, I got to thinking.
I have never read nor heard anyone in Congress spending time with people who are consumers of health care to talk about the Affordable Care Act or any replacements. There has been much discussion from some corners about repealing the ACA, however, in all the original machinations of the bill and subsequent conversations about replacing or coming up with something better I have not heard any serious engagement with us.
Maybe there were some focus groups and I am sure some demographic studies were done, yet and I may be wrong, has anyone heard about Congress or the Executive branch of either the current or previous administration sitting down with large swaths of the American people and discuss what the word AFFORDABLE health care really means? Or even what health care means? We, the people and consumers, are most affected by this legislation and yet; what say we.
I just think it is a wonderful idea for Congress to spend large amount of time talking to people who must pay insurance premiums, co-pays, deductibles, lab work, prescriptions, over the counter medication, hospital bills, and the whole host of products we pay to take care of ourselves. Does the leadership in our country understand we are at the mercy of the health care providers and them? A person can get the impression they like it that way. Not me, though.
And what about insurance companies, you would think they might be hyper vigilant to monitor costs of health care to help us (their customers) reduce our and their expenses. A person might think this would be a primary function of their business model. And yet…..Healthcare costs AND healthcare premiums continue to rise at significant rates above inflation. Why? We pay more and get less coverage year after year.
Remember back in the 1930’s two significant pieces of legislation were passed to protect mutual fund customers. The Mutual Fund companies were charged with a fiduciary duty to protect their customers. Maybe our Congress can pass a bill similar for insurance companies to be held accountable to their customers,,,,, oh wait,,,, I forgot Wall Street just lobbied away consumer protection for customers of Financial Representatives saying they needed to act in the best interest of their customer. My God that just sounds wrong doesn’t it, yet lo and behold…… we have a new sheriff in town and he loves Wall Street no matter what he says.
Oh well, back to healthcare, which is back to square one for the American Consumer because Congress, Our President, Insurance companies, AMA, Pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and all the companies who make a profit off health care could give a rat’s back end about the one person that matters the most: US
So, the next time someone talks about the ACA, Obamacare, repealing it, or replacing it, ask yourself one question. Why am I not beating the door down in Washington D. C. to get better representation?
Think about it, you know better than anyone how much this is eating up your budget, your future, your family, your life. What controls do you have? Now some will say it is our responsibility to take control since this is our life. I agree which leads me back to why aren’t we more active in lobbying Congress ourselves for something better that puts us first. Yes, I and maybe you could spend hours of our day researching every decision we make, yet how many times are we faced with deciding in the heat of the moment when you or your family member is sick, in pain, injured, or being told catastrophic health news. Yes these are the exact moments when we have to make these decisions, not on a cloudy Saturday afternoon when we are running errands, cleaning the house, yardwork, chasing the kids around, running from one event to the next kid’s birthday party, trying to cook or run into a fast food restaurant to feed everyone, yeah, I can squeeze in a few hours for a few weeks to maybe figure out which lab companies are in my insurance network because if I don’t my lab bill is hundreds more.
Yes, it is my responsibility to take care of myself, but it is not Congress’ responsibility to take care of big business especially when there is a conflict between our interests and theirs. It is Congress responsibility to write legislation that balances the needs of the whole country and represent us the people.
The Affordable Care Act was mislabeled from the start and never should have been passed in the first place, yet no one in Congress has come up with anything better and all the while listening to the medical industry’s lobby groups on what should be done. I am glad the current replacement is in a secret room and hopefully it stays there.
I hope that somehow some way Congress really decides to talk to us, to sit down with many of us and really go through our medical bills one by one for a whole year or more, looking at what we are being charged for the bill, what is being charged, do they think we need this much care, our deductibles, what our insurance companies are doing for us since we pay them for their services, see what happens to our families when someone is diagnosed with Cancer or dementia, how much is long term care insurance, and sit with us when we make decisions for something there is no control. Yeah, tell a loved one, this is just life and there is nothing we can do. Come on Congress come sit and talk to us, not in a focus group, but when we are struggling to pay bills and buy glasses so we can see or come up with another $1000 to pay for dental work or sit with us while our child is in so much agony you can’t think straight. Yep sit with us then and then go back and write health care laws.

“The best letters are courteous, to the point, and include specific supporting examples”
Example:
Your name and address (especially if you want a response)
Insert your salutation and Congressperson’s name
I am writing you to express my concern over healthcare legislation. My understanding is you are working on either replacing or repealing the Affordable Care Act. This action will affect many of your constituents including myself. I hope you consider my concerns.
Healthcare is continually consuming more of my time, energy, budget, and unfortunately negatively affects my overall health. It is hard as a consumer to navigate the amount of material to make informed healthcare decisions. Too often I find myself having to make healthcare decisions at inopportune times such as in the emergency room or when I am in pain or with a very sick child. Unfortunately, I find myself at the mercy of the situation and then come home to face medical bills I am not prepared to pay or eat up much of my savings instantly. And I have noticed the costs to me are increasing year over year while my insurance premiums continue to increase and provide me less benefits.
I look to you to represent me and your other constituents in these matters. Too often I hear that the medical profession is heavily involved in the discussions and I hear very little what is being done to include the most important part of healthcare and that is people like myself, the consumers and patients, of healthcare. At this point I see no bill that best represents my interest so until you see legislation that makes the consumer come first I urge you not to vote for any new proposals. I also urge you when you are in our district that you seek out many consumers and have deep discussions with the people you represent so you have a better understanding of what we need.
Sincerely,
(and of course, your signature here)
