ally was always widely different than me technically in appearance wise, she has blonde hair, i do not and her eyes are around pastel blue/pink and i do not have them. i always been really attached to that though.

Snow Day Spent Shoveling Away. Part 1

Summary: Modern AU; Anna calls Kristoff in desperation, as she needs to shovel her apartment complex’s front and back steps, along with the sidewalks in the front of the building. It was a promise she made to her sister that the landlord needed help with the incoming storm, but she went away for the weekend for her job. Her being the procrastinator she is, its the last day she has to do it and the snow is piled up. Will they be able to do it in time?

Notes: If you saw my tumblr post (a while back-sorry about that) when I shoveled the snow on the first snow day in my state, it read that I had a fanfiction idea brewing in my head the whole time I was shoveling. This is my first real time that I’m writing Kristanna fanfiction, I’ve written little stuff in the past, but it never made it past my notebooks/laptop. So this is the real first published piece. Kristoff’s phone would not stop going off. He would answer it in a heartbeat too, if he wasn’t in a deep nap.

Soon enough though, his phone kept buzzing to the point it didn’t stop, and that woke him up. Being confused as to where the noise was coming from, he rubbed his eyes and face to shake the sleep out of his body. He found his phone slowly moving on the coffee table next to the couch he was on, being annoyed, thinking it was work trying to call him in. But it wasn’t, he looked at who was texting him and who were the missed calls from. All 43 messages and 4 missed called, all were from Anna.

“Krisssss!!!!!!! WHY AREN’T YOU ANSWERING?!?!?!?!”

He sat up and dialed her up and put the phone to his ear. “Hey Anna, what do yo-”

“Woah, woah, woah, relax...and what? What’s going on why are you in trouble?” Kristoff said with genuine concern, even though he knew Anna is probably just being overdramatic and she’ll be fine with his help.

“Oh my God, so basically this weekend Elsa told me that I needed to shovel the front and back stairs because our landlord is off on vacation for something this weekend, and Elsa would’ve helped too but she also has to go away too for her job or whatever, so she left just me in charge, but I completely forgot about it until right now and she gets back in the morning and she’s gonna KILL ME if she finds out I didn’t do anything this weekend!!!!” Anna rambled on.

Kristoff was still trying to process everything she said, you know, seeing how he just came out of a nap. He took his free hand and ran it through his hair, knowing what she was going to ask of him to do, but still curious how much a job it was going to be.

“So anyway….can you come over and help me shovel the front and back stairs?” Anna asked, but held back a little, thinking that he was going to say no and she’ll just have to suffer and do it herself.

He sighed a little, hopefully not too loud or too long for her to hear, and said “Yeah, give me 5-10 mins and I’ll be over.” He started to get up to put on his jacket and boots, when he heard a squeal through the phone and a resounding “THANK YOU SO MUCH KRISTOFF I LOVE Y-..SEE YOU SOON!!!” And she hung up. He smiled as he put the phone in his pocket and continued putting on his shoes.

His smile grew bigger as he realized that she started to say “I love you.” He was sure that it was just in a friendly way, because he was also sure that Anna didn’t feel the same way as he did. That thought made him go sour so he decided to stop thinking about it.

Oh well.. at least he still gets to spend time with her, right?

Kristoff drove to Anna’s apartment and took a space in the parking lot. Anna was patiently waiting in the hall inside the apartment to get started, and saw that he was pulling in and ran out the door to see him.

He got out of the truck and was instantly met with a leaping Anna, somehow managing to get through the snow that was up to her calf, jumping into him and hugging him and saying “Thank you so much again for doing this with me!” Anna let go of Kristoff, even though he barely had time to give back the hug. “I was literally going to breakdown and cry if I had to do this by myself.” Anna looked into Kristoff’s eye with grateful eyes.

“Well, you know me, always here to help.” He shrugged and then laughed, she joined the laugh, and quickly turned around to go back to the front hall and get the shovels, and he followed.

“So is it just these steps and the back?” Kristoff asked over the wind as it started to pick up.“Yeah, and maybe just a little bit of the sidewalk, so there can be a path for the people so they can get to the parking lot.” She said with a little uncertainty in her voice, still hoping Kristoff wouldn’t back out of it this early into it. But he still was going with it, like he said, he was there to help.

Anna went back into the hall and got the two heavy duty shovels “We’ll get different ones when we have to do the stairs, seeming how they’ll be smaller.” Anna turned to Kristoff and handed him a shovel. Kristoff looked at what they had to do and back to Anna. It was just flurrying out, and some snowflakes were gently placed on her hair, and scattered all across her hat. And you couldn’t tell from a quick glance, but since Kristoff was already looking, he could see the flakes that landed on her eyelashes and some on her cheeks, but some had melted, probably because of her warmth, Kristoff assumed.

Anna was gazing out at what they had to get done, and suddenly got a boost of confidence and said, “We can do this, it won’t be that long!” Anna jumped down the stairs. Kristoff was more worried if she was going to hurt herself with all this snow and possible black ice underneath.

“What area should I focus on?” Kristoff asked.

“Uh, from here to here,” she pointed to a section of the snow to the street, “That’s the sidewalk, and of course right here, so you know, you don’t have to jump from the stairs to the sidewalk. And a little pathway over there,” pointing to where they trudged through earlier, “So people can get  to the parking lot.” She finished with a worry look creeping up on her free. Kristoff knew to her it looked like it was more than she can chew.

“Hey, it’s gonna be fine. I’ll start the sidewalk, why don’t you do the stairs here.” Kristoff suggested as he went down the stairs.

“Oh the easier work, huh?” Anna pouted but still had a hint of a smirk, and came close to Kristoff, like she was trying to intimidate him.

“Well do you wanna be sore doing all the more tough work?” Kristoff smirked back.

“...No.” Anna scrunched up her face and went to the stairs.

They started their section and were pretty quiet as they were just trying to get all this work over with. Up until Anna came across a bump in the ...snow

“Ugh I hate it when this happens…” Anna kept at it trying to do it up. Kristoff looked over and admired the hard work she put into the stairs so far.

Anna started chipping away the block with her shovel until she decided to use her hands. Dropping the shovel, crouching, she began pawing at it like a dog. Kristoff chuckled and came over to help, dropping his shovel in the snow too.

“Here, try this…” Kristoff lined the block, dogging at the edges to separate it from the ground. Anna decided to let him have it. Almost thinking, ‘Less work for me though, right?’ And then she caught glimpse of Kristoff face. They’d been out there for sometime so his cheeks and nose were a rosy pink. Anna admired it, it looked like he was constantly blushing, and she thought it was cute. She didn’t realize she was staring for so long until finally got the block separated from the stair.

“Ah, there we go.” Kristoff gasped, then lifted the snow block. It was as big as Kristoff’s chest.

“Well no wonder I couldn’t get it, it’s as big as you!” Anna exclaimed. Kristoff rolled his eyes, “Thanks.” then laughed and tossed the block to the pile that both him and Anna started.

“I mean that in a good way. Why do you think I asked for your help? You’re the strongest man I know. And look.. You’ve got most of it done! I say that’s a job well done. “ Anna rambled on, probably saying more than needed.

“...Thanks Anna.” Anna couldn’t tell if he was actually blushing now, but it definitely put a smile on his face. He retrieved his shovel and went back to it.

Anna smiled too, but then realized that she made it sound like she was using him...she hoped he actually got the compliment she was trying to give. She turned to see him work, bit her lip, but turned to get back to the stairs.

Another while passed and both of them were at a point where they couldn’t stop sniffing from the sold and they were fatigued so much they were breathing heavily.

For her, Anna took one big sniff and breath and got the last piece off the stairs to the other big pile.

“Agh, yes I finished the steps!” Anna didn’t have the energy to jump around and be happy, she was breathing heavily, but very relieved. Kristoff was looking at her and did have a smile, but it was an exhausted one from the work he had done. He got the sidewalk to be visible but he had barely started on the pile in front of the stairs.

“Oh right, well let’s get this part, I guess.” the excitement dying in her voice. But then she looked to Kristoff where he was stretching his lower back, and then his shoulder.

“Are you okay?” Anna asked with concern in her voice and face.

“Hm? Oh yeah, it just gets a little tiring after a while.” He was still stretching his shoulder.

“Yeah, I’m starting to feel it too.” Anna stretched her back and the sound of cracking went all down her back. “Damn…And my hands are like, stiff from the shovel.” She stretched out her fingers too.

Kristoff sympathized and then really looked at Anna. She was pretty bundled up, but he could tell she was starting to freeze. He was thinking about just taking a rest, but he knew Anna would flip and say they have to get it done before the night is over. It was already starting to get dark out, and they still had the back stairs to do. They were both starting to get a little worried.

Then all of a sudden, an idea he wish he thought of earlier, came to him.

“Oh my God,” He started to laugh at himself as he was patting his jacket for his phone.

“What?” Anna asked.

He found his phone and headed to the hall in the building, and found the person he needed and called them. Anna was confused as ever, but a hint of worry as she hoped nothing bad was happening and he had to leave her to the rest.

“Hello?” A voice came through the phone.

“Hey, Sven!” Kristoff happily replied. “Hey, are you still at work?”

“About to clock out, what’s up?” Sven asked.

“Well, I’m here with Anna helping shovel her apartment building and stairs and such. I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind coming by with one of your plow trucks and help us out?” Anna’s face changed to pure happiness as she realized he was getting help.

“Yeah! That’s no problem at all! I have to take one home anyway to do my own driveway.” Sven replied an Kristoff was relieved he could help.

“Oh man, thank you so much, I owe you one!” Kristoff said.

“Awe, no you don’t… or maybe, I haven’t decided yet.” Sven laughed. “Just give me the address and I’ll be there 5-10 minutes.”

Kristoff was giving the address as Anna was bouncing next to him, being so happy that he did this.

“Alright I’ll be there soon, bye!” Sven said and hung up, and Kristoff put the phone away from his ear but immediately got attacked by Anna’s hug.

She jumped and hugged him and wrapped her legs around his waist and tightly squeezed. “Thank you Kristoff Bjorgman! I am in you debt!” She basically screamed into his ear. Kristoff returned the hug, mostly just to keep her from falling, but he was blessed with this hug, he felt like.

God only knows how long they hugged for. After a minute or two it wasn’t in excitement of getting help, it was just them wanting to hold each other. They soon realized it could get awkward any minute so they let go of each other, Kristoff putting Anna to the floor, but both of their hands still on each other. Anna’s on his shoulders, still sliding slowly to his chest, Kristoff’s on Anna’s waist. They looked at each other, both smiling and both looking deep into each other’s eyes.

‘Is this really happening?’ Kristoff and Anna thought, probably at the same time.

Anna cleared her throat as another thought entered her mind, deterring them from anymore thoughts of Kristoff.

Kristoff was concerned about why she looked away so fast, but it was probably for the best that they stopped what they were doing.

“Uh, how long do you expect until Sven gets here?” Anna asked, refocused on the task both of them were there for.

“Uh, let’s see…” He checked his phone and saw the call time was about 3 minutes ago. “It’s only been 3 minutes, he said about 5-10, so probably not that much longer.” He said

“Hm, well we still have to do the backstairs, but these shovels are too big for them, there’s more shovels in the basement. I’ll be right back.” She went to the door that leads to the basement.

Kristoff looked out the window to see if Sven would arrive soon. But he got lost in his own thoughts about how Anna’s mood totally shifted, like something in her head just switched. But that would’ve been a perfect moment for him to kiss her. God how he wanted to kiss her. They were practically close enough that a swift movement would close the space and seal the deal. But it didn’t happen. Would it ever happen? He wouldn’t know and don't know when he will.

Anna came back with two smaller shovels, definitely made for stair shoveling and waited with Kristoff by the window. It wasn’t long until Sven came, he parked by the sidewalk as Kristoff and Anna were coming out of the hall, met by the even colder wind than before.

“Hey guys!” Sven had a big bright smile on his face that you couldn’t help but smile too.

“Hey!” they said in almost unison.

“So where exactly do you need the snow to go?” Sven asked them.

“Well, I need this pile and pathway clear, and a path to get to the parking lot end to the back stairs.” Anna gestured with each place she needed plowed.

“Easy work! It’ll be done in no time!” Sven got out of park and went to work, and Anna and Kristoff went back on the stairs to get out of the way.

Usually plowing in a pretty small and enclosed space like Anna’s apartment is hard, but Sven made it look easy.They marveled at the job and were happy to see the black/grayish stone ground again.

Anna was beaming, but that didn’t stop her from being cold. Her teeth started to chatter and soon the cold air slipped into her jacket. She shivered for a bit.

Kristoff noticed her shiver, and asked “Are you cold?”

She looked up at him, “A little…” and then back at Sven’s works. Kristoff debated it it would be weird if he hugged her so she would be warm. But she seemed a little distant ever since earlier. He decided against it.

Sven stopped and called out to Anna through the passenger window. “Hey Anna, how much of a path you want?”

Anna walked over and looked down where the parking lot and the side of the building was. “Just do your best to get it all the way down, but make sure to put the snow in that corner. It’s a parking spot, but no one uses it.” She said to Sven.

“Gotcha!” Sven started up again, and Kristoff came over to observe.

Sven and his truck worked like magic, he got the parking lot done in no time. He drove up to Anna and Kristoff and said, “All done!”

Anna jumped in happiness. “Yay! Thank you so much Sven, you shaved off a couple hours for us!” Anna exclaimed.

“It was no problem at all. Well, I gotta do my own home now, see you guys later.” He stuck his hand out to shake Kristoff’s hand, which he reached out to meet it.

“See you soon and thanks again.” And with that, Sven drove off.

“Well we still have the back stairs. That won’t take long, let’s go!” She said with enthusiasm in her voice.

“I see your excited again.” Kristoff followed her where she was getting the shovels.

“Yeah, because when we’re done, we can have hot chocolate! Now, I can’t wait!” Anna bounced her way to the back of the building.

        while  marcia  was  able  to  stay  in  america  much  longer  than  she  was  legally  supposed  to  ,  eventually  she  was  facing  deportation  ,  which  meant  lil  sofie  ,  with  her  citizenship  finally  confirmed  ,  was  put  into  the  hands  of  her  father  who  sent  off  to  an  american  boarding  school  in  new  york  without  even  contacting  her  .  she  would  spend  the  summers  in  brazil  with  her  mother  or  ,  as  she  got  older  ,  couch - surfing  with  different  friends  throughout  the  months  .  she  started  growing  apart  from  her  mother  as  she  aged  since  she  wasn’t  going  home  every  summer  since  she  didn’t  rly  feel  any  connection  to  brazil  .  her  grandfather  had  passed  away  &  she  only  has  faint  memories  grandmother  ,  plus  the  city  wasn’t  at  all  familiar  to  her  &  she  wasn’t  practicing  her  portuguese  after  her  mother  returned  to  brazil  .

Their paths were never supposed to meet, but what happens when they do anyways, one rainy day in Manchester?

Dan stepped through the front doors into the lobby. It was small and had basic furniture that looked as if it had come from the same dull color scheme, but Dan didn't really mind. He wouldn't be here very long.

A tired secretary looked up at him as he entered, but when Dan settled in one of the seats in front of the television, she looked back down at her paperwork, a frown still on her face.

Dan looked up at the TV and smiled wide. It was on the same channel that the weather station aired, and on it Phil was grinning and relaying the temperatures for the day and how the sun for once would be shining for most of the afternoon.

Dan sat and watched the whole time Phil was on, a goofy smile on his face. When the angle switched to the news anchors, Dan's attention drifted to his phone, where he scrolled through twitter for a little. Now that Phil wasn't on the live broadcast he'd be in a separate room, recording a few different takes of a handful of different weather broadcasts that the station could air later in the day, depending on which of their predictions were correct. And since Phil was here as an employee and not an intern today, as soon as he was done, they could leave.

They'd been dating for a few weeks at this point, and with Dan's workaholic schedule and Phil's two jobs, most time between them had been lunch breaks and an impromptu sleepover, or a few hours together of kissing and movies and video games before reality once again rained on their parade. Today however, Dan was off due to the shop being closed so it could get some of its appliances replaced, and Phil had his whole day off as well minus his morning broadcast. They were planning on spending it together and to shop and wander around Manchester as it rapidly neared the holiday season.

Dan thought that a day just for the two of them was long overdue.

A few people came and went while Dan was sitting there, and he eventually stopped looking up so hopefully since every time he only got a stranger returning his excitement with a look of bewilderment at Dan's gaze. And besides, had he gotten a little caught up in scrolling through the various threads? Maybe. Had he gotten comfortable in his seat and popped his earbuds in? Possibly. Did Phil ever give him a ball-park time as to when he would be done? No. So he really had no business materializing out of nowhere and hooking a finger under Dan's chin, tilting his head up and kissing him in greeting. Dan's legs just went jelly even though he wasn't standing, and his thoughts flatlined.

"Uh," Dan said eloquently when Phil pulled back. Phil laughed and helped Dan up.

"Hello to you too. I'm all done by the way—are you ready to get out of here? I distinctly remember planning a whole day together with my boyfriend."

Dan managed something between a breathy "yeah" and "of course" and let Phil grab his hand, leading him outside dumbly, still overwhelmed with how easily this cliche bastard could knock all of the breath out of his lungs. He simultaneously hoped that he would eventually get used to it—becoming a stuttering mess was highly inconvenient at times—and also never wanted that feeling of devotion to go away.

The sun was surprisingly warm for early December, and the sky was clearer than Dan had seen it in an awfully long time. Topped with all of the Christmas decorations around and nestled into Phil's side, their hands threaded, Dan really couldn't imagine a better way of spending his day off.

Their first stop was Starbucks—a Dan and Phil tradition. They'd gone to a Starbucks for their first "date" on one of Dan's lunch breaks, and ever since, they'd hit it a half a dozen times together in the several weeks of their relationship.

Phil ordered while Dan snagged them a table in the corner. He returned however, with a horrendous amount of foam on his coffee and a simple protest of "it's flavored leave me alone." Phil then proceeded to take a huge sip, leaving a hefty foam mustache on his upper lip. Dan laughed hysterically and couldn't help but snap a picture of Phil's adorable pout, sending it to Jaime after saving it to his phone. He was surprised when his phone beeped almost right away. She was down in London today working on the play, and it was too early for her to be on her lunch break already.

Dan snorted and took a sip of his own coffee (with a normal amount of foam, thank you very much).

"If you count conspiring as us dragging you for the sheer amount of foam on that coffee, then yes, absolutely."

"Hey! Unlike you, I refuse to be subjected to society's standards as to what is acceptable with coffee. Besides, what do you know? My coffee is fantastic."

"Some lines just shouldn't be crossed, mate, and a gallon of foam is one of them. And you're forgetting—I literally make coffee for a living. I think I have the right to judge." Dan said, rolling his eyes in the fondest way possible. Phil grumbled as if he was annoyed, but Dan could tell that he didn't really mean it.

Dan leaned back against the chair and watched Phil as he used the front camera on his phone to make sure he wiped away all of the foam from the top of his lip. Was that creepy? Maybe. But Dan just couldn't keep his eyes off of Phil, as cliche as it was. Phil was just Phil—Dan couldn't ignore him if he tried.

"What, did I miss some of it?" Phil asked, already pulling his phone back out of his pocket. Dan grabbed his hand to stop the movement.

"No, you spork, you didn't." Dan said softly.

Phil's face brightened and a sly smile spread across his face. "So," he drawled, "whatcha looking at then?"

Dan let his thumb flitter over the tops of Phil's knuckles before answering.

"A dork."

"Hey!"

Dan cackled as Phil crossed his arms and pouted. He started whining about how Dan was being a "terrible boyfriend" and "first the foam now this," and he was being so ridiculous that Dan only laughed harder. Phil just kept going though, and Dan tried to shush him in between giggles, but to no avail.

What an absolute fucking nerd, Dan thought as he gave up trying to stop Phil with words and instead pulled him forward into a kiss. Dan was still trying to control his laughter so he wasn't even really kissing properly and pretty much just smiling against Phil's mouth, but it worked perfectly. Phil shut up instantly and kissed back. His arm snaked around Dan's waist loosely, but it still sent a tingle up Dan's spine anyways.

Dan pulled back a little, his cheeks aching from laughing. "Hey."

"No no, come back here." Phil dragged Dan right back to his side, and this time the kiss was a proper one. When Phil let go of him Dan knew his cheeks were dusted pink, and in his own opinion the blush probably matched the warm feeling in his chest.

Phil hummed, smiling softly down at Dan. "Cute."

Dan rolled his eyes, but they both knew that didn't mean anything.

After they finished their coffees, they wandered out into the city. Earlier in the week they had planned out all of the stores they had wanted to visit, but things ended up taking longer than expected because they couldn't stop themselves from walking into every building that had something that caught their eye. With all of the extra stops, the shopping trip had to be split in half by lunch. Dan didn't mind though. A nice lunch in a little corner cafe with Phil was a pleasant and welcomed surprise.

Dan found his Christmas present for Jaime, and nearly bought one for Phil as well. The only thing that stopped Dan from buying the galaxy jumper was the fact that it was about twice as much as Dan's already small and strained budget.

It was nearing the evening when they stepped through the threshold of Phil's apartment. The day had been incredibly fun, and Dan didn't even mind that he was tired from all of the walking that they had done, or that the tip of his nose was near froze from the cold air.

Dan dropped the bags in his hands down onto the floor next to Phil's. He reached back up for the zipper on his coat, but Phil's hands batted it out of the way. Surprised, Dan raised an eyebrow at Phil, but it went unaddressed by the older man. Phil slipped the coat from Dan's shoulders and hung it up.

"Why don't you go pick out a movie, Dan? I'm in a bit of a mood for popcorn and snuggling under a blanket."

He retreated back to the lounge, the faint blush on his cheeks from Phil taking his coat off for him dissipating. It had been domestic and Dan enjoyed being taken care of, shoot him.

Dan settled on a bit of a classic and popped it into the DVD player. Behind him he could hear Phil starting the microwave, and even though they had ate not that long ago, Dan's stomach grumbled at the smell of the butter. Dan pulled one of the many blankets Phil had off of the back of the couch and wrapped it around him. He left half of it off to the side for Phil.

"You can start it! I'll be right in."

The opening credits of The Shawshank Redemption had finished playing by the time Phil surfaced, but it was with a large bowl of popcorn and accompanying sweets, which made up for lost cuddle time in Dan's mind.

A few moments later Phil was settled under the blanket, pressed next to Dan. The snacks were in a pile on their laps, and they frequently snuck a hand out from under the blanket to munch on them.

The movie was one of Dan's favorites, and he decided that watching it with Phil's body curled around his, tucked away in their little corner of the world, made it even better.

Phil had also never seen the movie before, and Dan had brought his own copy of it over ages ago with the intention of watching it. Unfortunately, they had never gotten the chance to until now, but it was hardly an issue. Dan enjoyed Phil's gasps of surprise, and his frantic panic towards the end of the movie when things were hitting the climax. When the screen faded to the end credits, Phil's jaw was dropped, shock on his face.

"I'll take it you enjoyed it?" Dan asked, a smiling. Phil stared at the television for another moment before snapping to attention.

"Like it? Dan, that was one of the coolest movies I've ever seen. And it's based off of a book, you said? God, I need to read it, oh my gosh." Phil continued rambling about his favorite parts, and he talked about his thought process through the movie. "I swear I thought Andy was guilty! But then he got some proof that he wasn’t, and they shot the guy!"

"Yep. Really makes you think, huh?"

Phil laughed.

"Yeah, it does."

Dan smiled, happy that Phil had enjoyed something that Dan loved. He pecked Phil's lips with his own before mustering the willpower to scoot out of their little blanket cocoon.

"Can you take it out of the DVD player? I'll take care of our scraps."

Phil was still smiling softly at him, and the look was making Dan's insides feel all warm and gooey. Not that long ago that would have terrified him, but now it just made Dan's grin go wider.

He quickly washed the bowl to get the butter off of the sides and put it back in Phil's cabinet. Before he left he shut the rest of Phil's cabinet doors, rolling his eyes. Phil could look at a bunch of nonsense numbers and measurements and predict the weather, but the man couldn't bother himself to close a cabinet door.

Dan walked back into the lounge, ready to tease Phil about it, but stopped when he found him standing next to the couch, reading something on his phone. His eyebrows were crinkled and the corners of his mouth were turned down in something between a frown and a grimace. The expression caused the joke on Dan's lips to wither, and for a moment Dan just stood there, watching Phil. He didn't seem to know that Dan was back in the room.

"Is everything alright?"

Phil jumped at Dan's voice shattering the silence, and slipped his phone back into his pocket. The small smile plastered on Phil's face was fake, and Dan could tell that Phil was trying to figure out what to say.

"Yeah, it's just an email from work."

"Tesco emailed you?"

"No, the weatherstation."

"Oh." Dan didn't know if he should keep pushing, but when he thought about the frown on Phil's face just a little bit ago and how his shoulders were curled in anxiety, Dan's resolution hardened. He knew first hand what something negative could do if it was allowed to fester, and he didn't want that to happen to Phil. "Was it something bad?"

"No, not really." Phil said, his fingers sliding into his pockets. Dan couldn't help but frown at that. Phil stuck his hands in his pockets when he was uncomfortable. Was Dan making him feel like that? "My schedule just got changed up a bit. I'm going to have to ring Tesco to have them adjust my shifts so none of them overlap."

Dan nodded, but there was no doubt in his mind that Phil wasn't telling the truth. Another glance at Phil's hands in his pockets held back Dan's tongue, however. He didn't want to make Phil uncomfortable or anxious.

Dan decided to drop the subject, but he didn't let his suspicions fall.

"Did you want to call them now? I can step back into the kitchen if you want?"

"No!" Phil said, his arms flinching like he wanted to move them, but decided not to at the last minute. "It's fine, I promise. I'll call them in the morning—I don't think anybody would pick up, anyways. Come on, it's my turn to pick a movie."

Phil gave Dan one last strained smile before turning all of his attention to the shelf of movies he owned. Dan was still frowning, worried about what had really been on Phil's phone, and even more worried about Phil, but he didn't say anything. Dan didn't think that Phil really looked at the selection and more-or-less just popped a random disc into the DVD player. After pressing play, Phil caught Dan's wrists and pulled him to the sofa. They settled back under the blanket, but this time Phil was holding Dan against his chest, his arms wrapped around Dan to keep him close. He pressed a soft kiss to Dan's temple.

"Relax, everything's fine, I promise."

It didn't do much to ease Dan's thoughts, but he did relax his body, as well as tuck his worried thoughts away to deal with later. For now, he just wanted to enjoy this time with Phil.

adam quinn blue was born august 4 in an austin, texas hospital. he has a lil bit of an accent that comes out reaL BAD when he’s drunk LMAO. when it slips while sober he gets all embarrassed.

his zodiac sign is a leo, and he is leo a F i stg.

he lived in austin all his life with his fam which consisted of his parents and younger sisters, who are twins.

his family always struggled financially; his father worked as a mechanic, which brought in most of the money, tho it wasn’t a lot, and his mother failed to keep a job for very long without tiring of it. it didn’t help that they lived in a big, more expensive home. all their money went to bills, leaving little extra for basic needs.

this led to adam taking up odd jobs starting from thirteen, earning a lil money, which he spent on his siblings.

while in high school, he joined the school play of peter pan as a freshman on a dare from his friends, not expecting to actually earn one of the lead roles. it was while working on the play that he discovered his love for acting.

his father didn’t like the fact that his only son had joined a school play, expecting him to do Manly Things(TM) like football or whatever. it was after adam received the part that his father started acting differently towards him, soon leading to verbal abuse.

adam always attempted to make his father proud, but no matter what he did, he always felt like a failure. it was the beginning of junior year that his parents divorced, as they always fought over him. this resulted in his father moving out, and they haven’t spoken, since.

his mother lost the house, and they moved to a smaller trailer where his sisters shared a room w his mom. he started dealing drugs at this time in order to help with the payments, lying to his fam about it.

acting was always therapeutic to him, and he worked hard to do the best he could, soon becoming one of the better actors in the school. he appeared in a couple commercials.

he almost got caught dealing drugs when he was eighteen and close to graduating, but, in fear of what’d happen to him, he ended up framing one of his closest friends, sending him off to jail. it’s then he began fading from the drug trading, deciding it wasn’t for him lmAO. buT he still has regrets about that and hasn’t told anyone.

after graduation, there were open auditions for a big action movie, and he hit that tf uP, ending up getting the lead role. this is where his stardom began, and he was able to move out of his home with the earnings. soon, from a couple other movies, he was able to move his fam somewhere nicer.

he decided to audition for preston bc he felt a lil bit of a connection w the character, and he’s pumPED to have the part.

okAY SO more about his personality: he is supER family oriented, and if anyone messes w them he,,, gets a liL upset.

he has a v carefree attitude and lowkey wings everything?? he’s just kinda like “whatever!!! :~)” 24/7.

he also knows he’s a good actor and,,, his ego’s a lil inflated bc of it. he kinda thinks he’s better than some people smdh.

adam is a super lively guy and has a more optimistic attitude?? he enjoys being around people and isn’t fond of being by himself aka an extreme extrovert. HE PARTIES HARD and wakes up w too many hangovers. tho he?? doesn’t do the Hardcore Drugs. he’s all into weed tho.

he’s the kind of guy to get drunk thirty minutes in. alsO he’s,,,, a weird drunk like his mood swings a lot and are vvv extreme.

adam doesn’t mind having enemies and?? kindA eggs them on lmAO he’s so lowkey messy smdh. also he likes getting revenge on people whether it be fr or just around set. he’s asking to get punched rip.

he’s not really interested in love rn?? liKE he’ll do plenty of one night stands, but as for finding someone, he’s like kinda :/// about it.

he loves the limelight and to be talked about sooo,,, 👀👀👀
