cassandra cain/batgirl ii - she's probably my all-time favorite, for better or for worse batgirl vol. 1 (2000-2005) is etched into my heart.

kitty pryde/shadowcat - im not at all familiar with the xmen but started reading the original excalibur run and she's my favorite character in it.

honorable mentions: kate bishop/hawkeye (from matt fraction's run); natasha romanoff (the name of the rose, phil noto's run, etc.); the collective titans (especially donna, victor, raven, and roy); maika halfwolf (monstress, though i'm not caught up on recent issues); saya and marcus (deadly class - i need to reread but oh boy); talia al ghul (haven't started on any specific runs it's purely thru osmosis); liz sherman (?) (i don't remember a lot from the hellboy comics but i know i liked her) and, of course, kurt wagner (see above comment about xmen) <3
