i'm wearing my padres jersey today and in europe, no one gives a shit about baseball but today, i had a call with americans and i cannot tell you how hype it made me that they went "did the padres win?" and then proceeded to tell me they were rooting for the cardinals and the yankees. like. wow imagine being able to talk casually about baseball with people???? a dream
