hi! i know i’m in your inbox an awful lot (what can i say, i love the way you write!) but i’ve recently made the jump to start 1. writing x reader fics and 2. posting on tumblr rather than my regular ao3 and wattpad! i was wondering— how do you come up with concepts for your oneshots and even series? i’m having such a hard time picking a concept and would love some of your insight since you’re one of my favorite accounts on here :)

honestly, it all depends on if it’s a request, inspired by a song, etc.! with song requests like im doing right now, i sit and listen to the song on repeat till i can think of a scenario. similar deal with requests like my 3k celebration (which, yes, i swear im still working on). but for any one shots/series i write without being prompted? gah. usually an idea just hits me at random and i play around with it! series like “twenty four hours” take a little more consideration, but one shots like “if it were anyone else” or “up in flames” are very much just born in the moment from big emotions. (and stuff like “up in flames” is usually egged on by friends lol)

i really wish there was more method to my madness 😭 but also hell yeah to starting to post on here!! i hope you find it to be enjoyable <3 i know it’s quite different from ao3 and wattpad but there’s also a lot of fun to be had with tumblr’s formatting that just doesn’t translate to those other sites/apps haha

i’m still thinking about the tag in the co-writing ask a whole few days later and MERA 🥲 saying it would be an honor to exchange ideas is crazy bc it’s such a honor to even be on that list of people you’d hypothetically co-write something with! i adore your work to the fullest and you always release such BANGERS for writing!

(i really also appreciated hearing your thoughts on how you structure your work, your progress with first drafts, and what your favorite line is!! so exciting to peek into the mind of another writer!!)

I truly do mean that tag from the bottom of my heart! It would be a joy to co-write or discuss ideas! Your thoughts and ideas are always fascinating (your swimsuit thoughts were so *chef's kiss*). I had to read the title again because it caught me by surprise. I thought, Arnolfini Portrait? As in, the Arnolfini Portrait?!?!?! It's a very pleasant surprise to see a reference to that painting!!
