Actually I really do hope Mecha Sonic and Metal Sonic get to meet & fight at some point just because it does really feel like such an interesting dynamic. I don't really think that Mecha would feel like... true 'jealousy' over the fact that Metal is what she was, but 'better' because it wasn't abandoned and thrown out to make way for a new improved model. Because. If she were to have been that, would she have been happy? Would she have gotten the chance to make friends and actually have goals of her own choosing if she'd still been Eggman's number 1 murder robot? Would she have been happy being the one stuck in that infinite loop of fighting this one guy over and over again without ever winning? Why would she be envious of being that particular cog in the machine post scrapnik.

Like if anything I think she'd feel kinda Bad for Metal. Because Metal wouldn't really listen to what a discarded previous model has to say. Even when its... something... that she tells you that she too once was Eggman's "greatest creation to date" . She too was once the Best Murder Robot. But eventually, he'll realize he could make one better. Eventually another one gets made. You're just a machine, after all... You can be replaced.

And I don't think Metal would want to think about this. Would tell itself that it won't be the one that gets replaced, because there's nothing that could be better than it. ... But how much can you really keep believing that when you are being told by the Last Version Of What You Are Literally Is Telling You That's Exactly What She Thought Too Before Being Discarded!!!!!!!!!!!
