this might be a hot take but girl characters (especially from like,, the 80s and such) who were added to be a love interest to a guy character can be interesting and their relationship with said guy character can be interesting too

yes it’s upsetting if they’re not given the proper time and attention to reach their potential but that doesn’t mean they have no potential

characters like transformers g1’s elita-1, tmnt 1987’s lotus blossom and kala, and so on and so forth are such great characters and their respective romantic relationships are cute and i will stand on this hill
