It's my birthday today :)
I'm finally 16 sweet 16 y'know I guess some huge life changes will happen soon people say once you turn 16 it's like your life just changes around. It's kinda crazy I'm not to sure what's gonna happen to me now that I'm "so mature" I still feel very childlike, my grandfather took me to build a bear yesterday and I still play with stuffed animals. But that's okay. I also think you'll be happy that I'm here with good news, I'm feeling really good. O feel happy and like fucking alive and things in my life are going pretty great. I, in all honesty, I haven't felt this just... Okay... Is so fucking long, it's like things are making sense now. Things are okay. It's weird I've been getting better this year, I mean I've definitely has my setbacks, but I haven't self harmed since last December, and I passed all my classes, that algebra class I passed with a 68% (64% is fail) my dad's disappointed in me but the teacher was shit and I tried my best so it's whatever honestly, being more carefree has been so much better. I got straight A's in all my other classes! So my GPA's like 3.1? Or smth idk I'm trying. But schools over. Summer is my good months, I hate the hot weather but having a few months without school is amazing, being able to stay away from bullies is incredible that's really the only thing that's so I'll been bothering me nowadays plus, over summer everyone forgets everything so hopefully theirs nothing else to bully me about next year. Maybe this summer I'll have like a glow up or smth? Probably not lol. Though, I have been going to the gym, but I'm not looking to change my body I have enough issues with that as it is. Anyways, it feels so much better to just be okay. My birthday was great and I'm feeling good. We actually celebrated last week because of the court date with my mom so my whole family could be together I got some new Markers, and A PlayStation (🫣in excited) and some new shoes it's been a really great day. I'm really excited we celebrate last week haha because (I'm sure you guessed it) I'm sick again! I'm telling you I never stop being sick it's constant, I have a sinus infection (A FUCKING GAIN) AND STREP so I'm spending my birthday eating my favorite foods (like ice cream, nice on my sore throat) and finishing up these antibiotics, I'm pretty sure the last time I wrote here I was sick then too?? I think? It might have been stomach related I honestly can't fucking remember I'm sick all the time.(along with Juvenile Arthritis, which APPERNLY I HAVE, just another thing to add to the list 🙄) But I don't really mind. I have TV to watch and I'm doing OK.
I know things like this dont last forever but im happy right now and honestly I think I'm okay with just staying for a while how stuff is. Ill have up and downs and my (phisical) health isn't too awesome but I'm doing the best I can to help it
As always you please please take care of YOURSELF. Make sure your drinking, eating, taking your medicine, giving yourself time to breathe. I appreciate you 🤗
-rosy
AWWW! Omg, happy birthday! I'm so so happy to hear that you are doing a little better right now, especially on your birthday. I hope you got all the ice cream you wanted. And that's very sweet that you went to build-a-bear. I've been meaning to go for a while myself once I have the spending money to splurge. I kinda want a K.K slider bear...(dog? Idk about the technicalities with that lol). And it's totally not a bad thing to still be fond of cute stuff like that. What matters is that you like it! And nobody else should have any issue with something as wholesome as being yourself.
I used to really enjoy Summer because of the nice break from school too. And I didn't have many friends, but the few I did have were very fun to be around. I hope you have someone like that in your life. Please enjoy the break, whether you spend it with others or at your own time. I know that algebra class you mentioned was stressing you out hardcore. You passed and you tried your absolute damn best. That's all that matters. (I'm proud of you.)
It sucks you're feeling sick, but I hope that also gets better with time. Coincidentally, I also had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (I was diagnosed at 15) and the biggest tip I can give you is to become aware of and come to terms with your own limits. I had not taken good care of myself when I turned 18 and my RA kinda spiraled out of control, which caused me to develop lupus very soon after. So, you know, take it kind of seriously and be kind to your body. You mentioned you're going to the gym, which is great! Staying active is super good for preventing joint pain. But also don't forget to take breaks. The good news is that these sort of chronic illnesses can go into remission under the right care. <3
It's always nice hearing how you're doing. Happy Birthday again. I'm glad it went well. :D

My blog
It’s time for some changes around here. Well, not actually around here, you’re probably not gonna notice anything. As usual, the work has to be done inside my brain regarding this blog. And I’m taking you along for the ride. ‘
So I haven’t posted in a couple of weeks and this is why. When I started my blog I was in the positive part of the sinus wave that is my life. I was feeling good. I was feeling inspired. I was feeling motivated. And although I still had a lot of drama in my head surrounding my blog, it was a lot less drama then during the negative parts of my sinus ways or even just the parts where the derivative is negative. You can ignore that.
Furtermore, this blog is dedicated to things that I know and have learned about the mental health journey and when you’re in one of those bad periods you’re not learning much and your brain isnt really enjoying thinking about it when you do. So coupled with some fear of failure issues regarding the act of blogging itself. Well I wasnt blogging.
Now I could give you a lot os reasonable excuses and you’d probably believe them like I would. Examples are the ones I gave above but the thing is. The only thing I need to blog is a laptop and an idea. And even though I am in a bad period and I’m learning less, I’m still learning. I’ve got about one of those realisations per day so technically I could write a blog post per day.
So I tried. I was grinding, work hard play hard and all that shit. It didnt work well. I wrote that post about the ‘messy middle’ and although I am happy i did that and that was all I could manage at that point it’s not really the content that I made this blog for. Now this is a no-rules blog (to battle my fear of failure) so its allowed to be there and all that, but it’s not my intention to write those type of posts.
This is what I believe. Everywhere you feel resistance in your mind, there is a problem that you can solve by working on your brain. It’s a problem you cant (okay probs you can but its gonna take you soo much more energy and pain, not worth it) solve by simply grinding. I was feeling resistance in my mind about blogging and I tried to solve it by grinding, it didnt work and felt really wrong as well. Like writing that one blog post did not feel great.
It comes down to what I wrote in my last post. You have a subconcious, negative belief (unknown at this point), but you notice the symptoms, which often means experiencing resistance (you don’t feel like writing for your blog) then your brain offers The Excuse or The Excuses (writing a blog is not easy, I haven’t had any good realisations in a while, my brain isn’t tuned to realisations bc I feel bad and also dude, I feel bad, leave me alone). They’re probably all true and theorethically all valid reasons. But they’re not your reason. Your reason is the subconcious negative belief you have about yourself and writing this blog.
So I have been having some subconcious negative belief(s) about my blog. For me, these usually have to do with fear of failure, which apperently has been with me for my whole life unlike my other mental health.. issues. So I’m scared that the posts that I wrote wouldn’t be as good as the posts that I wrote when I felt good. And when I felt good I had the right mindset about blogging, which for me is that at this point I’m just blogging to find my voice and after that learn how to write a good blog and just see what issues come up and battle.
I feel resistance around having a public blog and I’m trying to expand my comfort zone (I’ll write about expanding your comfort zone vs stepping out of it later) by taking the biggest step in the right direction that still feels comfortable (also a superimportant concept, I think I wrote about this already some time ago). Which is writing a private blog.
So I actually started writing and I was amazed at how good the stuff that I was writing was. Like not form-wise, I’m just rambling, but content-wise. And that’s where the perfectionism/fear of failure kicked in.
One technique that I use to feel my resistance and imagine the size of the resistance is to compare the acitivty that I have a hard time doing to a similar acitivty that I find very easy. In my previous blog post I compared learning about computers, which I was unable to do, with learning about psychology, which I’m very good at. In this post it is writing for my blog, which I haven’t done in two weeks, compared to writing in my journal. I almost completely fill up an entire notebook per month.
This technique is helpful because you can’t trust your brain. It believed The Excuse and even after you realise that that belief isn’t entire gone. If it was you could just start doing the activity that you felt resistance for. You cant, the resistance is still lingering and so is a little of your negative belief. For me, right now, this means that I know I’m not writing because of the negative belief but I think that if I’ve worked away the negative belief i would feel comfortable writing like three posts in a week maybe. Even though i could write on my blog equally much as in my journal which is at least one time a day. (when i wrote that i would feel comfortable writing three posts in a week I already got that little sliver of fear from my mind that goes ‘no you cant! I dont want to think about this! your posts won’t be good enough!).
Okay so I now know a. I have a problem b. my Excuse and c. the size of the resistance (which means i know what to work towards).
So let’s get to the juicy stuff. The negative subconscious thought. Okay I’m drawing up a blank. That’s okay, it happens. you gotta work with what you got. If you can’t turn the negative belief into words and it’s not entirely necessary, then just dont. The reason I know it’s not entirely necessary is because I’ve already got the solution in my head (it’s still a bit vague but I’ll work it out more). In fact I’m already exercising the solution, which you might have noticed by the fact that this is the second post I am writing today.
You might be reading my blog (right, all those 0 followers am i right) and you’re trying to employ the little techniques and stuff that I tell you and you draw up a blank. That’s okay, it happens to me ALLL the time. I know what the next step is, but I cant figure it out. For example, I might feel some resistance and know something is ‘off’, but I don’t know exactly what feels off, I dont know my negative subconcious belief or my Excuse and I’m just not getting anywhere. In this case I know enough about my negative belief that I can work futher (it’s about fear of failure/perfectionism and has to with that I want my posts to be perfect or at least good enough or at least as good as the previous ones. I am viewing my blog as an end-result (good posts!) and means of validation (see, I am smart) instead of as a means (I am learning how to blog, mistakes are part of the process).
But sometimes you don’t. And that can be frustrating. Now the thing is, the brain is so immensely powerful, especially the subconcious part. So just let that part figure it out (I do this all the time, a genuine life hack). Now how do you do that? You already did. Your subconcious brain can only work on thoughts that you’re not trying to run away from AND that you are concious of. So the moment you realised there was some resistance and there was something off and you wanted to know what, this thought was added to your knowledge base and your subconious can start working on it.
How does that work? not so sure, but it probably has something to do with sleep (where you solidify memories and somehow make connections between the new concepts you’ve learned and all the old ones) and just your brain associating at other times. Let me explain that last part. Imagine your thought is x and the solution is y. Now what you’ll want to do is think about x really really hard and try to come up with solutions (maye its z or maybe its p, or q or b) and it won’t work. Instead, you just allow it into your knowledge base and while you go about your day and you encounter new concepts (e, r, a, z, etc) your brain is making associations on its own. At some point you encounter y (the solution remember), Now your brain will associate it with x. tadaa! solution. But if x hadn’t been in your knowledge base, your brain would never have connected the two.
Right let’s get back to the original post. I was talking about The negative subconscious belief and then made a detour to explain why it is okay if you can’t figure that one out exactly or at all. In this case its a “can’t turn it into words, but I know enough to work (at least partly) on the solution”. And the Negative belief is about perfectionism, as I also explained above. Now the solution for me is to start viewing my blog as I view my journal. The way I view my journal is that it’s not about what I write or the quality of what I am writing. That is not important at all, it’s about what the writing does to me, which is it helps clarify my thoughts. Now it’s a little different with my blog. Whereas I do not have an end-goal with my journal, I do have an end-goal with my blog, because I would like to end up with good quality posts. However, the way to get there is not to try to write good-quality posts at this point.
So I used to think that the most important hurdles of writing my blog would be a. my perfectionism and b. my ability to explain the concepts in a way that it constitues good blog posts. But also I didn’t know shit about writing blogs, since I was an absolute beginner. That’s how it’s supposed to be and it means that you’re gonna encounter hurdles that you couldn’t imagine before you started writing. Obviously. Now although my fear of failure/perfectionism is probably #nr 1, I am battling that by changing the way I view my blog. And here is the new ‘hurdle’ that I’ve discovered: i can’t write posts where I explain the concepts I come up with eloquently, because I dont think about my concepts eloquently either. i dont have some kind of organised mind palace up there. It’s more like an abandoned dungeon and I only got this crappy flashlight that turns off halt of the time and sometimes I glimpe a concept and I try to hold on to it with all my might. But I don’t know much about it and I also don’t know how it connects with the other concepts in my head. It’s a bit of a jumbled mess.
I’d like to create some order in that chaos. One way to do this is by writing about the concepts. First off, you’ll learn more about the concept itself as you write, secondly it’ll start to make more sense since you’re ordering your thoughts and thirdly, which at this point I’m most interested in, you’ll make connections with the other concepts in your mind. For example, this blog post was just supposed to be about how i’m gonna change my brain to write more, but half of it is dedicated on how to let your subconcsious (yes I still cant write that word, fuck off) work for you. That certainly doesn’t make for a quality blog post but it does make for more order in my head.
So let’s summarize: at this point in time these are the three main hurdles I have in getting towards my end-goal, which is writing good quality posts. The hurdles are #1 perfectionism, #2 eloquent writing, #3 having order in my mind about the concepts I write about. Now the eloquent writing will solve itself by me writing a lot. Writing is a skill and I’m practicing it. (it’s not that easy, there’s brain-changing involved here too, maybe I’ll write a blog post about that too someday). The perfectionism is ‘solved’ by changing the way I view my blog-posts: not as end-products but as a means to... create order in my mind about the concepts I write about, which is how I’m working on hurdle #3.
There you go. A little insight in how I’m learning how to blog. And basically how I think too. I need to go eat breakfast now or I’d try to summarize the whole post a little more. Maybe in my next post. See ya.

AVEOtsd Review
AVEOtsd probably is not quite what comes to mind when you picture an anti-snoring mouthpiece, especially if you have only been exploring mandibular advancement devices (MADs). Well, it may not be what you have in mind, but I think it may be a good option for some people, depending on your preference.
More than five years of research went into creating this noninvasive device, and although not my favorite stop snoring solution, it is one I like and recommend.
Pros and Cons
As I have found with all snoring solutions, AVEOtsd has its share of pros and cons, I had a few small complaints myself. Make sure you consider both when making your decision.
Positives
This device is made from medical-grade silicone that is soft against your tongue and gums, so you don’t have to deal with any irritation.
The product is doctor-designed and proven effective with clinical studies.
No fitting process is needed prior to using AVEOtsd. This device is ready-to-use right out-of-the-box.
Available in three sizes for the best fit possible. Approximately 90 percent of snorers use a medium size.
Lifespan average is about 12 months, which is pretty long for a snoring device. Some have reported their oral appliance lasting 24 months.
This TSD is backed by a 6-month warranty on manufacturing defects.
AVEOtsd can be worn by individuals with TMJ issues, dentures, missing teeth, crowns, caps, and bridgework. Since it doesn’t sit in the mouth it does not affect dental work.
Complaints
This device is not available without a prescription, so you have to see your doctor or dentist to get one.
AVEOtsd takes a while to get used to and may cause excessive drooling when you first put it in.
This oral appliance falls off, if it is too loose, but it leaves your tongue really sore, if it is too tight, so it demands a little practice to get the perfect suction.

Summary
AVEOtsd is a good anti-snoring mouthpiece, with a nice design that has most of it sitting outside of your mouth. It did slip out of my mouth a few times throughout the trial, but overall very effective. I think the only real complaint compared to similar devices is that it requires a prescription, so it's a hassle to actually get your hands on one.
What’s with the Weird Design?
The AVEOtsd is classified as a tongue stabilizing device (TSD), so it probably looks a little odd to you. TSDs are quickly gaining popularity in the world of snoring solution products. Unlike MADs, TSDs do not actually sit inside your mouth, making them ideal for those who just can’t get used to having a traditional mouthpiece in all night. They are also suitable for individuals with dentures, missing teeth, crowns, or bridgework.
Made from soft, medical-grade silicone, AVEOtsd is non-irritating and available in three sizes. The medium fits about 90 percent of snorers. There is no customization needed with this product, so you will not have to trim and file or use the boil-and-bite method prior to using it.
Dr. Chris Robertson of New Zealand created AVEOtsd. He specializes in dental sleep medicine and spent several years focusing on clinical studies to develop this product.
How Does it Work?
If you have read some of my other reviews then you are probably aware that traditional mouthpieces stop snoring by holding the jaw in a forward position. This stops the tongue from collapsing into the throat and causing an obstruction. Well, AVEOtsd has the same mission, but it takes a different approach.
The suction end of AVEOtsd goes on the tip of your tongue. The rest of the device sits between the inner lips and outer teeth. It holds your tongue forward while you sleep, so similar to MADs, it prevents your tongue from relaxing and falling back towards other soft tissues.
Getting Familiar with AVEOtsd
Prior to attaching AVEOtsd , rinse it under hot tap water. The heat softens the silicone, which will make it a little easier to get the device positioned on your tongue. Looking at the device, the V-notch should be facing the ground.
Put the tip of your tongue into the bulb. To keep the bulb in place, you will need to squeeze the sides to create suction. The harder you squeeze the stronger the suction is. It should be snug, but not overly tight. Some users find it easier to make small pulsing squeezes to create a suction to guide the tongue in place, instead of positioning the tongue, and then creating the suction. You’ll probably want to experiment with both methods to see which one you are more comfortable with.
Getting Used to Your AVEOtsd
The manufacturer recommends wearing your AVEOtsd around the house for several days to get used to it. If you have never worn a TSD before, and you are not used to it, you could face a few sleepless nights in the beginning. This is something you can easily do while watching television, cleaning the house, or surfing the Internet.
My Experience
Since AVEOtsd is only available by prescription through a dentist or physician, we had to schedule appointments to get one. We paid a little over $100 each. They average between $90 and $140 each, depending on where you get them from. I washed them both as soon as we got home, and we actually wore them right away. The site recommends wearing AVEOtsd for a week around the house to get used to it. We were pretty comfortable with the design since we had recently tried Good Morning Snore Solution (GMSS). So, we only wore it off and on until the following night before we started the trial.
I will say that I think I drooled a lot more with AVEOtsd than I ever did with Good Morning Snore Solution, and it was a little harder for me to achieve the correct suction. In fact, when I woke up the first morning, I found it had fallen off at some point. My wife’s device stayed on all night. She was energized and in a great mood. I was still half asleep. I can only assume it fell off early, so I snored and slept poorly all night.
The next night, I made the suction a little stronger, and I was thrilled to wake up the second morning with it still in place. My wife had gotten up in the middle of the night to get some water, and she said I wasn’t snoring at all. The third night, our senior dog woke me up to let him out for a bathroom break, and my wife was sleeping soundly. I did not hear a peep out of her.
The AVEOtsd was effective at stopping our snoring for the seven-day trial. I did struggle to get the ideal suction several nights, but it only fell off the first night. Also, by the fifth morning, neither of us had a sore tongue anymore.
Do to the design it can’t be worn by individuals who breathe through their mouth, so it is not suitable for those with nasal polyps, deviated septum, or sinus issues. If you have allergies, you will want to have a backup option for those nights when your nose is stuffy and you have to breathe through your mouth.
Some snorers need to have a spacer added for their device to be more effective.
The silicone that this device is made of will discolor if you have GERD.
Final Thoughts
I found AVEOtsd to be effective, but it takes a little extra effort to get the suction strength just right. This device is made of soft silicone, so it doesn’t irritate your gums or the inside of your lips. It is easy to clean, and has a long lifespan, but the fact that you need a prescription to get one does make it a little less attractive.
If you want to try a tongue stabilizing device, but you don’t want to visit your doctor or dentist, I recommend trying Good Morning Snore Solution that I mentioned earlier. It is actually my favorite snoring solution, and I found it to be a little easier to attach and get used to than AVEOtsd. Plus, the fact that you can order it online makes it a very convenient option. If you decide that you want to try a mandibular advancement device instead, I suggest either ZQuiet or Zyppah. I found both to be comfortable and effective.

Is medical insurance enough if you have a catastrophic health problem?
"Is medical insurance enough if you have a catastrophic health problem?
Woolhandler and her colleagues surveyed a random sample of 2,314 people who filed for bankruptcy in early 2007, looked at their court records, and then interviewed more than 1,000 of them. Health.com: Expert advice on getting health insurance and affordable care for chronic pain They concluded that 62.1 percent of the bankruptcies were medically related because the individuals either had more than $5,000 (or 10 percent of their pretax income) in medical bills, mortgaged their home to pay for medical bills, or lost significant income due to an illness. On average, medically bankrupt families had $17,943 in out-of-pocket expenses, including $26,971 for those who lacked insurance and $17,749 who had insurance at some point. Overall, three-quarters of the people with a medically-related bankruptcy had health insurance, they say. That was actually the predominant problem in patients in our study -- 78 percent of them had health insurance, but many of them were bankrupted anyway because there were gaps in their coverage like co-payments and deductibles and uncovered services, says Woolhandler. Other people had private insurance but got so sick that they lost their job and lost their insurance.

Question about car insurance and ticket?
Today my girlfriend asked me to drive her home from college as she was sick. I used her moms car. When coming home on the arterial we were at a red light and I was getting ready to get in the right lane when the light turned green the SUV in front of me began to go then stopped suddenly, (still don't know why) As I was still crossing into the other lane the corner of my front bumper bumped her fender corner. I noticed she stopped and was on her phone so I backed up and parked behind her assuming she just wanted to make sure it was ok. Her tail lights were fine, she drove Subaru SUV so she had a pretty solid buffer there really wasn't even a scuff but a small red reflector on the bottom of the bumper that received a small crack (got a pic close up but can't see it more than a couple inches away. My headlight just has small scuff we werent worried, in NYS you don't generally call unless the damage is over 1000 but she insisted on calling the police. Is medical insurance enough if you have a catastrophic health problem?

""Can you explain car insurance system in the UK, how it works?""
It is illegal to drive without a valid car insurance. I am unable to get a single quote for car insurance, what am I doing wrong or where is the catch? I am a new driver, have a provisional driving licence for a month. The car I want to buy is a large Mercedes S class (5-litre engine) that cost ca. 15K (I have my reasons). Why they would not insure me if I only want the THIRD PARTY LIABILITY cover (the minimum required by law)? The insurance company does not risk paying for my luxury car as third party cover does not cover the car, is that correct? My circumstances that I put in online forms: I am 26, UK resident for 3 years. The car would be bought and registered (and probably insured) under my mum's name, she is an EU national, has EEC (non-UK) driving licence for 20 years and is resident in the UK for 3 months only. I would need to add myself as a second driver... No company would give me an insurance quotation, do you know why? When I change driving licence in forms from provisional to full UK the result is the same (also no quotes at all). But when I change the car to e.g. a small Focus or similar, no problem, cheap insurance available and dozens of quotations are appearing. Are new drivers not allowed to drive luxury cars? HELP!""

How to get best fair settlement from car insurance company for 1996 corolla?
Hi: My 1996 toyota corolla was hit by another car in the rear on the passenger side. My car was in excellent condition, everything worked, nothing broken, no rust (paint in excellent condition as it is always in my garage at home or in a covered parking lot at my workplace), low mileage (130K), never had a problem and I am the original, sole owner and driver of the car. I was planning to keep driving it for years to come. Now the insurance company wants to total my car and what they are offering for my car /their initial proposed settlement of $3500is not nearly enough to buy another car in the same excellent, safe and reliable condition, that is not riddled with hidden problems. This presents a big problem for me as, if I cannot have my car fixed and restored to the same condition as before the crash, I would have to come up with at least $12K to $15K to buy another new safe, reliable economy car. This is an expense that was not in my plans. Also, the insurance company is pushing me to make a hasty decision and is threatening me with not paying for the car rental I needed to get (since my car cannot be driven as the tail light is broken and and rain would get in the car). Is there any way that the insurance company can be prevented from totaling my car and instead pay for properly fixing the car with good OEM parts instead of used (LKQ) parts. I got several estimates, two for around $5K and one for around $7K (this one is from an excellent body shop that has done excellent work on my other previous cars before). The insurance company provided and estimate for $4k using used/LKQ parts. I would appreciate any advice on how to get the best settlement from the insurance company.""
Car insurance for teens. Do I NEED to be listed on my parents policy?
My parents have triple A auto insurance and I have recently gotten my drivers license. I have tried to research the requirements for insurance by law on the California DMV website and the most concrete statement I found was some numbers that cover various damages and injuries (DMV website is not working properly so I cannot look it up). My parents insurance obviously covers the basic and more. However, my parents policy states that Any relative that has consent of the owner to use the insured vehicle is covered by this policy - These are not the exact words as I don't have the policy on me, but it is pretty damn close. In the definitions portion of the policy, it states a relative as anyone related by blood, and some other stuff. I am my parents son so I am obviously related by blood, thus their policy coverage extends on to me when they give me permission to use their vehicle. I did not find ANY California laws that required me to be on the policy. i only found information that said I only need that minimum coverage which my parents policy does provide. We did contact triple A about this and they did not give us a reasonable answer. All they said was that they WANT my parents to add me because THOSE ARE THE RULES. Seems like they just want more money in their pockets. Can someone give some advice? Thanks.""

Question about auto insurance claim pay?
Someone I know got into an auto accident (backed into a parked car). Both parties are insured. I've never had to file any auto claims in all my time driving (thankfully), so I don't know as to whether what happened is what's supposed to happen. If you're 100% at fault, is it standard for insurers to give no payout at all? I don't know the terms of this guy's insurance policy (told me he uses farmer's insurance, if that matters, not Geico or some other budget insurer), but I thought the purpose of insurance is to cover yourself in the event of accidents, whether you're at fault or not. Term insurance or whole life insurance?
I want to get life insurance, but I am not sure whhich type of insurance I should get. I have done lots of research and majority of the research tells me to get term life insurance, but I am still confused to why. Here is a little about me: 30 years old, married, and have a baby. Non-smoker, and overall healthy, minus some arthritis. My first thought is to get whole life insurance because it definitely covers my family if I pass away when I am a lot older. However, I then hear that whole life is not a great investment - too expensive and lot of cost/fees involved, you don't really know how much of your premiums are going into your insurance and how much is going into the savings where the company invest the money. After hearing that, I think well term isn't so bad then. I get a lower premium for the same amount of life insurance. But then, I know term insurance only last a limited time. I see 30 years usually being the longest term life insurance. Well 30 years from now (considering nothing happens to me in the next 30 years), I will only be 60. That is still pretty young and then I wil have to renew my term insurance, but at 60, my premium will be a lot more than it would be right now. SO as you can see, I am at a lost and have no clue what to do. I would like some opinions, feedback, suggestions, etc, that would be much appreciated. (side note- when explaining which insurance is better, please explain in simple terms. I posted awhile back and I had some responses with very advanced insurance explanations that confused me! lol). ;) Oh, I do have life insurance with my company, but it's not much and I don't see mysefl staying with this company, so I prefer getting my own private life insurance.""

So i was looking at how much insurance would cost me for it because i hear that its expensive and im a full time student and work minimum wage job, so its not like i have money just to shoot out my *** for fun. I was looking at progressive, because they show instant online quotes so i dont have to actually call in and give my real name and social security # and stuff like that. So i go onto progressive's, and enter all my real info like age and stuff(but lie about my actual address and name and email cause i dont want constant ads and spam). And i got cheaper than expected quotes.....So i put in, 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250r. Male. Turning 18 in july. Put in that i have motorcycle endorsement and taken safety course(i havent yet, but i will by the time i actually own a bike and have to buy insurance for real). No accidents or tickets. 0 years riding experience(although i ran multiple quotes and noticed price drops by $29 for a 12month policy if youve had even 1 year of riding experience, which is nice). And i got a quote for $285 12month policy. For Bodily Injury & Property Damage 50/100/25. Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury 25/50. $100 deductible on comprehensive for bike(again i ran multiple quotes, and changing the deductible amount on comprehensive only saves a few bucks). $500 deductible for collision(this deductible amount changes your rate incredibly). No other coverage. Got quoted $285...seems kinda cheap to me considering im so young? Not complaining that i save money....just wondering if this sounds normal? Random insurance question, lets say im riding my bike and going at a good speed, say 45+mph. Then fall and completely eat ****. I injure and damage only myself and my bike. Lets say my bike needs some repairs or maybe even replacing, and my leg is broken or something like that. Will any insurance cover any costs since it was my fault to my own personal injury? Is this when health insurance kicks in for medical bills? And would motorcycle insurance pay for any of this? If so, which kind? Like comprehensive, collision, liability, under-insured motorist? Because i have no idea. This next part might be a little hard to understand, so ill try my best. But i ran multiple quotes and changed the age i said i was, for instance, i put in my real birthday on one July 1996, than i put July 1995 on another just to see how much the rate goes for a 18yr old, because once i actually get the bike i will be 18. The quote where i put my real birthday and said i was 17, got quoted $285, the quote where i said i was already 18, got quoted $319.....how is that possible that i get a $34 cheaper quote for being younger??? I feel like someone at progressive online site is trolling me and getting my hopes up now, just to see me go ape **** when i actually go get a real quote. Thanks!""

Is medical insurance enough if you have a catastrophic health problem?

Personal Update
Hiiiiiiiiiii……….. iiiI have absolutely no idea how to start this, but i guess the beginning is a pretty good start.
(Im not gonna lie i am absolute shit when it comes to talking about things in my life especially my health but im trying to work on that and hopefully use it to help educate in the future)
Il'l be honest this last year and a half-two years has been rough, no one ever tells you the sheer difference between just knowing about something and coming to terms with it being reality.
Growing up we always knew i had ADHD and even got that tested/medicated very quickly. But we also always knew i had Autism to some degree, unfortunately living in the south in the late 90s there weren’t many people willing to test/label a girl with that (things are ass backwards down here what can i say). What they don’t realize is its essentially social suicide by not getting me tested then because being the outcast of the outcast and not be able to offer explanations that does thing to people. But, At least we knew about it early on because i was able to do my own research over time and even found ways to work with people on the spectrum to better understand my own problems.
Now flash forward to the summer in between my 2nd and 3rd year of college, i can’t explain it but its like reality was playing catch up to the point that the DAY before my junior year was supposed to start I dropped out. Although i will admit at the time my reasoning was because of my mom having surgery and someone need to keep an eye on her for a bit. What I didn’t know however was giving my mind room to breathe finally would start sort of a domino effect of problems.
So now lets jump to the spring of 2016. I’ve had a lot going on both mentally and physically my whole life (especially right now) but for some reason one night as im sitting at a music festival camera in hand waiting on the main act to start i look around and for the first ever I felt like i was at home. You’d think that’d be a good thing right? Almost but not quite. Following that little realization i FINALLY got someone to get me tested and sure enough right in the middle of summer not even a week after Warped Tour, i got the answers I’d been waiting ages for. Not only did we finally have definitive diagnosis of Level 1 ASD we also found several things that had been lurking in my minds shadows (i.e. More anxiety, depression, insomnia, bi-polar, slight manic) which was fine but also felt like the entire floor had ripped out from under me with no warning.
Now, Ive dealt with depression off/on my whole life but it is TERRIFYING to be in an all out mental free fall and not even be aware of it at first. Im not even joking when i say i felt like i was going insane. I can say now though that I completely get why people love New Years. After months of trying to understand things and recalibrate meds we’d finally found a combo that works, and even driving that point home with me having a huge mental break through happened on New Years eve. As im typing this right now i can tell you my mental state is miles better than it was at the beginning of this year, theres still a lot of work to be done on my end but my self awareness and recognition has increased exponentially for someone late to the show here.
Oh, But wait! Theres more……….
Remember me saying there were physical problems occurring too? Well, around late 2015-all of 2016 I started having intestinal issues again which as someone who’s had ulcers before thats not something you want to feel again, ever. Except it wasn’t ulcers and after a shit ton of test we did determine it wasn’t my gallbladder either (s/o to my genetics), in the end it just kind of got chalked up to anxiety considering i had also been dealing with what we had thought was the start of TMJ (thanks mom).
And really that was pretty much the running theory up until February of this year happened. When i tell you my body has impeccable timing im beyond serious because literally TWO DAYS before my umptienth visit with the oral surgeon my jaw……well long story short, my jaw had been partially dislocating itself for a year until it finally just decided popped back into place on its own. Which yeah great that answers that problem, but the gut issues han only gotten significantly worse at this point. Spareing some details and numerous appointments, about mid spring this year we found out I actually have what is known as Auto-immune Pancreatitis, Sounds bad right? Because it is. Sad part is it would’ve been found a lot sooner too if it wasn’t for my almost inhuman pain tolerance. Even funnier is both EDS (associate with my jaw problem) and Pancreatitis are fairly common in Autistic and ADHD people (Story of my life at this point).
Were, still not done though!
Ontop of ALL of this ive also been getting significantly more frequent migraines, again not new in my life but it is something thats finally being paid proper attention to (kind of). Migraines aside, another problem being that my whole life i’ve always had a higher resting heat rate than most people, again very common in adhd people and athletes. Whats not common about it, is for my average to be 115bpm while sitting perfectly still and then jumping on its own all the way to 170bpm without me having moved an inch (bare in mind 115 for me is what 60 would be for most people so 170 is probably more like 130 in normal people).
Which bring me to the last couple of months here. Technical jargon and process aside we(my cardiologist) have fortunately found that it’s not a valve and it’s not a rythm problem but it is an electrical problem known as Sinus Tachycardia or laymens terms; my heart beats way to fast naturally and randomly speeds up on its own without any outside prompting. At this point in time the main goal is to figure the why i have some sort short circuit in my system and then the migraines and other things i haven’t mentioned can be dealt with.
And that “self tanner” photo (on insta), that is from me havin a LINQ montir placed in my chest so that my heart can be monitored 24/7. No i can’t feel it, yes i was awake, yes i mean my boob, no it doesn’t stay in forever it only has a battery life of about three years……
As for what this means in terms of the future of my photography: I’m not giving up on Beyond the Barricade I actually even have several ideas to make it so much better than what i originally had planned. But for right now i have to raise the caution flag and take a step back from basically everything in music. As much as i dont want too my health comes first and even if mentally im in a much better place physically its hard to even just get out bed most day and getting this sorted is my number one priority. Yeah, I might be down at the moment but i will be damned if i let life count me out. I’m still here I promise.
