thoughts on the ova?

is this movie perfect? no. its essentially a sonic cd adaptation and they don't have amy in it. also the weird sideplot of eggman wanting to marry sara and the fanservice she provides.

HOWEVER...... it's still a top tier adaptation to me. i love the worldbuilding it does, the beautiful animation, the characterization of too cool sonic, tails constantly trying to imitate sonic, and knuckles showing up to help out. that metal sonic fucked too... i think the idea of metal sonic having sonic's personality and developing essentially into another sonic, developing a sense of heroism, which leads to him sacrificing himself, was such a cool idea. the action scenes were super cool, the music was fantastic, and i actually really liked the voice acting. i think it's a super fun adaptation and i wish more were like it. it's a total blast!
