20 Questions tag~
I was tagged by @mythicamagic thank you senpai~<3
How many works do you have on AO3?
40 right now, plus 1 that is still hidden because of the SOFA Exchange event.  (I’m still a lil fish.)
What’s your total AO3 word count?
486,920!  That’s so amazing to me!
How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
InuYasha - A Feudal Fairytale (18)
FullMetal Alchemist (18)
Mass Effect Trilogy (3)
Let’s Play (Webtoon) (1)
Kingdom Hearts (1) But I hope to write for many more fandoms in the future!  I have ideas for fics for Castlevania, Skyrim, Fallout 4, Last of Us Part II, and more!
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
#1.  Stardust FemShep/Garrus, Mass Effect Trilogy, Rated Explicit. A retelling of the Shepard/Vakarian love story, with lots (and LOTS) of sexiness, from Garrus' point of view. Starts from before the Omega-4 and will end sometime after the end of ME3. Trying to stay as true to the game as possible, while adding some things happening off camera and a new ending.
#2.  Flamingo Sess/Kag, Inuyasha, Rated Explicit Kagome's method of beating the summer heat attracts a certain demon lord...
#3.  Hawk Sess/Kag, Inuyasha, Rated Explicit Kagome and Sesshomaru discover they have a mutual attraction for each other after a battle and a slight comedic incident brings them together. At first their relationship seems entirely sexual, but eventually evolves into something real. What will this romance mean for Naraku? Or even the future?  *TRIGGER WARNING FOR CHAPTER 6! MAJOR VIOLENCE AND TRAGEDY* Very, very loosely based on "A Mere Digression" by elle6778
#4.  Daisy Sam/Charles, Let’s Play, Rated Mature Sam wakes up somewhere unfamiliar with a splitting headache with no memory of the night before. Takes place right after the S2 finale.  First chapter was my prediction for what would happen next, and then three other “wishful thinking” chapters happened, lol.
#5.  Chemistry Ed/Winry, FullMetal Alchemist, Rated Mature A look at how the relationship between Ed and Winry developed after Brotherhood ended.  Cute, sweet, funny, and hot (eventually—y'all that know me know I gotta have some NSFW in there).
Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
I try to respond to everyone, especially when a fic of mine has just been posted, but sometimes I just forget.  If I haven’t responded to your comment, please know it’s just because I’m a big dumb and forgot!  I love getting comments, and I reread them all the time!  I just feel like there’s a time limit to when I can respond to them--if I let too much go by, it’s awkward if I reply.  Gah, but that’s just me getting in my own head, I guess.  I’ll do better!
What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Oof, definitely Psychology, a fic I wrote for RoyEdOTPoly this year.  The prompt I got was dark, and I didn’t see any way around an angsty ending.  Read at your own risk!
What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
Well, aside from the last fic, I try to write happy endings for all my fics!  But, if I have to name names, I’m torn between Zoology (another FullMetal Alchemist fic, RoyEd, for RoyEdOTPoly this year) and Stardust (my Mass Effect fic, which is long, but so worth it, in my opinion).  Both are very fluffy in the end!
Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?
Argh...  I don’t really like crossovers, to be honest.  I actively avoid them when looking for fics to read.  But that doesn’t mean I haven’t thought of writing them myself.  (I’m a total hypocrite, I know.)  I had an idea for an Inuyasha x The Sims fic, years ago, that I never did anything with.  The premise was basically Inuyasha and Kagome would get trapped in the game somehow (via the jewel or magic or something), and they’d be controlled by Souta, Kagome’s friends, Hojo--all sorts of different people who think the fact that Kagome and Inuyasha are in the game is just some kind of silly mod.  I probably won’t write it, so if anyone is interested in that crazy idea, have at it!  You have my blessing. <3 I also have a crazy crossover idea for what I call an “Ultimate OT3″ of mine that I’ve mentioned to my friends, but I haven’t actually written down yet:  Sesshomaru/Alucard/Sebastian Michaelis.  So be on the lookout for that!
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
I wouldn’t call it “hate” so much as “mansplaining,” but I have gotten a couple of comments that made my eyebrow twitch on Stardust--both on AO3 and FFN.  Just dudes (and I’m fairly certain they were dudes, just from their tone) trying to explain why a certain plot twist wouldn’t work, or tell me how to save Sidonis in the actual game (which I already knew, that person just didn’t read what I wrote). I’ve also gotten a comment on one of my more controversial fics, Hippology, on FFN, where the person asked me if I thought my summary was K-Rated (which, admittedly, it does need to be for the site, and mine wasn’t--because of a single word).  I changed it and messaged them saying it was fixed.  Going to that commenter’s profile, however, proved to be fairly enlightening...  They’re nuts.  They have another profile, too.  Read at your own risk.  Yikes. There’s also a team of people on FFN who make it their life’s mission to report stories with rule violations.  I’ve gotten a comment from one of them as well.  These people are not mods, they just like to pretend they are--one of them even made their name look official!  “CU Administration,” gtfo dude. I also recently got one of my fics removed from FFN.  It wasn’t even one of my sexiest ones!  They put me in timeout for 48 hours, and when I was finally able to publish something new on the site again, I posted Hippology (my centaur smut), and it’s still up as I type this.  (Wonder how long it’ll take them to notice?)  And since the fic that got taken down was a SessKag fic, I’m thinking it might have been a petty SessRinner who reported it to the “authorities” of FFN, because another friend of mine got hers taken down not long after mine, and it was also SessKag.  Just my tinfoil theory, anyway!
Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Yes, yes, yes.  It’s practically all I write.  I do all sorts of smut, from romantic, sensual stuff, to specific kinks, to monsterfucking--all that good stuff.  Can’t change me~<3
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
God, I hope not!
Have you ever had a fic translated?
I don’t think so.  No one has asked me if they can translate one, anyway.
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not yet!  I’m open to the idea, and I’ve had little discussions with my fic-writing buddies about it, but nothing’s come out of it just yet.  Keep your eyes peeled!
What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Oh, now come on!  I can’t pick just one!  But I’ll give you a top 3 (in no particular order, because they change places a lot, depending on how obsessed I am with them at the moment). Inuyasha:  Sess/Kag FullMetal Alchemist:  Roy/Ed Mass Effect:  Garrus/FemShep
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
I have a couple of stories that I deleted from my original FFN account that I’d like to re-write and re-post on AO3, but I don’t think I’ll ever get around to it.  There were a couple of Inu/Kag fics I had in-progress, and then a Koug/Kag fic.  I recently rewrote and reposted my SessKag fic from years ago, Hawk, on FFN, AO3, and Dokuga!  So maybe all hope isn’t lost.  I’m even writing a sequel for Hawk! All the stories I have in-progress right now I plan on finishing.  At some point, lol.
What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue, without a doubt.  It’s my favorite thing to write, aside from smut, of course--which is another strength of mine.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Descriptions, ugh.  I try to do them well, but I always feel like they get stale.  So I keep them somewhat vague, because in my mind, I think readers will fill in the gaps themselves whether you describe something immaculately or not--they’ll see what they want to see, and that is totally fine in my book!  Or maybe I’m just making excuses, lol.  I’ll only describe something in a lot of detail if I want the reader to focus on that--usually an outfit, accessory, or weapon--otherwise, I leave it up to their imagination (I don’t want manipulate it too much, I suppose).
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
Wildly unnecessary unless that author speaks the language as well, or if certain words already exist in the fandom’s translations (ex. “youkai,” “alkahestry,” etc).
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Inuyasha, and the fic(s) I wrote in the beginning were terrible.  I want to burn all traces of them off the face of the earth.  I was in middle school.  I was young and stupid.
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
I gotta go with Stardust.  It’s the longest fic I’ve ever completed at more than 160k words.  I was so immensely proud when I typed “The End,” and I was able to say to myself “I did it.”

(some symbols for the tiny watermelon ~!) ■☯ ∇♒
Headcanon meme~
■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon
It’s canon that Haruka has a ridiculously huge bed, like the spoiled little prince he is. It could fit at least five people and it’s way more space than his tiny self needs. It’s a four-poster bed, so I like to imagine that sometimes he attaches curtains to it. He’s able to remove/attach curtains around the bed and close them if he wants extra privacy or wants to sleep without being disturbed.
Since Haruka’s mansion is very western in overall appearance, the other Kujo family mansions are likely the same way. His entire life he’s had great influence from other countries, maybe even more so than Japan. His lifestyle isn’t traditionally Japanese in many ways, and the places that he’s lived haven’t looked like most Japanese residences.
☯ - likes/dislikes headcanon
Some of his likes include tea, flowers, and reading. His favorite type of flowers are roses. He’s very fond of red and pink roses, but he also likes yellow ones. Despite favoring roses and those being the majority of the type that he grows, he’s fairly knowledgeable about most flowers in general. His passion for flowers really started when he was a toddler and helped his mother tend to their garden.
Some of his dislikes include loud noises, fire, and insects. He has pyrophobia/arsonphobia, which a lot of people don’t know. Even those close to him likely don’t know because he puts on a facade and hides his emotions. His fear can fluctuate between tolerable and having trouble functioning. If it’s something small like a campfire, he’s normally able to tolerate it. But, if it’s something huge like a forest fire or a house fire, that can shake him.
It also depends on how close it is. For example, with a campfire he can choose to distance himself and stay safely away. He might still feel a bit uneasy, but the fear is minimized. If someone were to hold a lighter up to his face or he was trapped in a burning building, however, he would be terrified.
∇ -. old age/aging headcanon
If he’s being completely honest, he’s afraid of the future. He hasn’t given too much thought about getting older, but he worries greatly about what’s to come. Now that he’s been truly starting over with his life and having full control over it this time, he feels somewhat lost. He wants to make the most out of life and become a better person, but he doesn’t know how to.
There’s also the fear of losing the friends he got back, and the new ones he’s made. This is the first time in his life that he has people who he genuinely loves and cares about, and it scares him. He’s never felt attachment like this before.
Another fear is his future with Souta. He’s not ignorant, he knows the risk that Souta faces every day of his life. He’s painfully aware of what could happen and that their happiness could be ripped away at any time. He doesn’t ever really tell Souta just how worried he is. But, it often gnaws at the back of his mind. He loves Souta more than anything in the world, and he wants to have a life together. He wants to grow old together and experience so many things. But, there’s a small part of him, deep down, that’s absolutely petrified at the idea of losing Souta. He wouldn’t be able to take it.
♒ - cooking/food headcanon
Haruka really loves baking, and he’s been trying to improve at it. He’s been pampered and spoiled his whole life, but he likes making treats for himself when he gets the chance. Baking is also sort of a hobby for him and he finds it relaxing to try out a new recipe when he needs a breather from work or to de-stress a little.
It can be a distraction, but not necessarily a good one. He’s found that when he’s really distressed over something, he uses baking as a distraction and will continuously do it. He’ll end up baking an unnecessary amount of sweets, simply because he keeps going. He doesn’t want to focus on what’s bothering him, so he puts all his energy into baking. Sometimes he even does it after a nightmare. If he’s particularly disturbed by a nightmare and can’t fall back asleep, he’ll go to the kitchen in the middle of the night and start baking. It’s a distraction that gets out of hand sometimes.

best wishes for the holidays [drabble] [start]
this ‘drabble’ got crazy out of hand and I’m not gonna finish it in time, so we’re breaking it into parts. i’ll get the first two out now, and then update as i finish.
part i Souta doesn’t see the present for a while. Not for the usual reason, because he isn’t at his own place at all, but at Roma’s, sleeping in a nest of pillows and blankets and the scattered ashes of any dignity he might have ever had. No, he’s actually been in his own room more, trying to see if bashing his head into a different wall will make a difference.
December, December is always busy, only this year, there’s nothing to do. Nothing left to be busy but his own messed up fractured brain, and honestly, after months he’s getting tired of that. You’d think with 25 years of repressed trauma his mind could get more than a couple months of horrific waking nightmares before it started getting repetitive, but most of his life had been empty repetition, anyway. Repetition and habituation. There were only so many things left that could qualify as nightmares and Roma singing off key at 3am had most of them beat at this point.
Most of them, but not all. There’s more left, even now than he’d like. He tries to pretend, like he always has, that he’s fine. After all, there’s entire other universes of anime to watch, novels to read, video games to play. Brand new gacha games, even. It’s almost enough to smear globs of white-out over the days he can hardly remember, knocked off balance by the passing smell of some specific flowers, or the wrong shade of purple hair. There are days when his sides ache, when the scar on his chest feels like its bleeding, when the kakuhou under his skin feel like they’re tearing him apart from the inside and he just lies there hoping they really will, really eat him alive after all this time, just like he’d asked so many years ago.
It’d gotten better for a bit, certainly. Even with the odd Zombie Apocalypse. But, as if on some kind of alarm, as soon as the calendar had flipped over to December, that same month is baby of a boss had marked up on the wall, the gears he’d barely managed to get turning started to spin out again.
It’s almost been a year, give or take an entirely different universe’s counting of time. A year since he’d felt that old man’s blood splash up over his gloves, since he’d felt the give of his sinew and bone under katana’s forged to defend him. A year since he’d conducted that orchestra, hallways of his childhood painted red, redecorated with corpses.  All that waiting and a year ago it really, finally started, he’d dragged the boulder to the top of the hill at last. All that was left was a few quick months of it rolling down, down, down.
And it had, hadn’t it? It had even crushed him under its weight like he wanted, in the end. What more could he have wanted. Would it have made any difference at all if he’d been able to make it through the next few scenes? Would the world have cared? It wouldn’t have mattered, really. He’d have been dead either way.
Maybe he’d have been here, either way, too, spending December in a new universe, (some computer simulation, maybe, he doesn’t even know,) not able to tell the difference between dreams and waking and memories, and too tired to bother to push them away by the middle of the month.
He lays in his bed and watches them, sometimes, the memories and nightmares, the video reel of his life with all its scratches and tears from being played like this so many times on a faulty projector. They transition seemlessly between things that really happen and things that never did, between fact and fiction, recall, imagination, dream, nightmare. If the screaming is real, really coming from outside his door or window, he wouldn’t know. He wouldn’t care.
He watches Kijima tap dance across his floor, his head cut in half, spraying blood everywhere and thinks, with annoyance, how hard all that will be to clean, hopes his roommates, wherever they are, can’t hear the thudding of that peg leg, and its only when the patchwork man phases clear through the wall that he remembers there’s no noise, no blood, not really. The wall beyond him shifts and he’s at Itori’s bar, her usual choice of music playing in the background.
The last thing I need is to get drunk, he thinks, pushing the bottle away from him. How many days has it been since he’s slept?
“How do you know you aren’t sleeping right now?” Itori lilts at him
“I don’t,” he says. “I never do these days.”
“I have to say,” Uta says from beside him, “the scientists have amazing timing, don’t they?”
Souta turns, looks at him from across the cafe table, a cup of hot black coffee in one gloved hand.
“There I was, so excited to see what Tokyo had to offer, but life is never so kind as to give us what we want.”
That’s true, he thinks, as the scene continues to play.
“I can only guess how frustrating it is to have such closely calculated plans interrupted in this kind of way.”
That’s also true.
“Killing your dad so easily… your inspiration is truly priceless.”
“So,” his own voice says, though it takes him a second to place, “They’re all dead then?”
Huh? His head buzzes, and the cafe around him shifts and he was back in that office,  then nowhere at all, then lying in a bedroom, staring at a strangely familiar white ceiling. He sits up, and looks down to see a small silver star in his hand.
Holiday presents were just as bad as birthday presents. Usually food or something consumable or trash, right? And yet here he is.
A wish, huh?
Huh?
There’s no star here at all, no poster on the wall, in fact, this room looks nothing like that. Dreams again, strangely banal dreams.
Which is when he sees the present. It’s not a star, but then dreams like to make those subtle and stupid changes. This must be why he’d put that silly one together.
He knows right away this was another plot of this hell without even looking at the strange name on the tag. He should throw it out. What reason did he have to think this... present would be any more amenable than anything else about this city.
Deja Vu, probably from the dream, nags at the back of his skull. He should just leave it be—

(never fear, im here to help take your mind off the pain!!! SoutaxHaruka ofc
Scary OTP meme | @kessaichi
Which one is more fond of scary movies: Neither lol Souta gets spooked by the ghosts and Haruka gets spooked by the jumpscares. They never seem to learn their lesson that watching scary movies is a bad idea and they always end up smushed together.
Which one gets the most excited about Halloween: Souta does! I think he gets most excited about the idea of getting to wear matching costumes with Haruka. He’s also always wanted to be a superhero ever since he was a kid so it’s sweet imagining that Halloween gives him the opportunity to sort of indulge in his childhood fantasies.
Which one would be more likely to survive the apocalypse: HMM I think Souta would because he has the advantage of being a ghoul. He would really have the upper hand against zombies/people/etc. with his kagune. Haruka’s more likely to die because he might be a good aim, but he’s still very physically weak and very human. But, with Souta by his side, I think they would both stand a chance of being the Dream Team™ in an apocalypse and survive.
Which one would literally kill for the other: S O U T A he legit would kill for Haruka, and he has. He really doesn’t hold back when it concerns Haruka’s safety and keeping him alive. This is a mutual feeling though and if Haruka had to, he would absolutely kill for Souta. They’re both willing to go to any lengths for each other and I die every day.
Which one likes to scare or startle the other: lfkgjks I like imagining that Souta spooks Haruka sometimes. Nothing drastic or cruel of course, but if he notices that Haruka’s kind of spaced out or not aware of his surroundings then he’ll just sneak up and tackle him with an enthusiastic hug from behind /w\
Which one is more likely to need comforting when they get spooked: Probably Souta. Haruka’s always been good at bottling his emotions and keeping a straight face, whereas Souta wears his heart on his sleeve. But, it also depends on the situation. If it’s getting spooked by a movie, then Haruka hugs Souta and gives him little reassuring kisses. If it’s “genuinely” spooked by like a nightmare or seeing something that triggers a bad memory, then Haruka would likely need the hugs and kisses more.
Which one always puts on a brave face: Souta!!! He gets scared but he always tries to be brave and protect Haruka so he’s like got his arms around Haruka while they’re walking through a creepy building and Haruka looks up at him and just “Souta you have tears in your eyes”
Which one would be more dangerous if they suddenly became violent: Souta, without a doubt. This happens occasionally, mostly when Haruka’s life is being threatened or in danger. It’s like a switch flips and Souta becomes far more aggressive and reckless. His anger is also quite “explosive” and he doesn’t know how to channel it properly so it tends to come out physically, like with throwing things. He has to physically get it out of his system.
Which one would be more likely to commit a crime: WELL technically speaking, Souta commits crimes regularly because he has to kill people and eat them. Haruka also attempted to destroy an entire country. I’d say they’re both pretty likely, but I guess Souta more so since it’s a common, necessary part of his life, while Haruka’s trying to never revert back to his old ways.
Which one believes in ghosts: Haruka does. Souta gets scared by ghosts in movies, but if I’m remembering correctly he’s actually uncertain about whether he truly believes in them. Haruka might be somewhat skeptical too, but he’s more likely to believe in them, simply because of his involvement with the supernatural.
Which one likes to watch spooky show on television: I feel like this is the same as the movie question lol but I’m convinced Souta probably finds Haruka watching detective/mystery shows on TV as a guilty pleasure siojkg
Which one would propose the idea of holding a seance: HARUKA LMAO it would be like in a half joking/half serious way. If they were getting up to some spooky shenanigans with Kura and Hotaru he would suggest holding a seance to contact the spirits and the other three would have question marks over their heads trying to figure out if he actually means it or not.
Which one has nightmares more often: Haruka definitely. Souta has nightmares of his own too but Haruka’s are a lot more frequent. It’s often that he’ll wake up in the middle of the night and Souta comforts him ;A;
Which one would want to explore a real haunted house: I think Haruka would, but not because he wants to try and find ghosts or anything. He would just like to explore a place with so much history behind it.
