I haven't seen anything like that on Tumblr. If anything, I've seen a lot of people overly anxious over IWTV getting canceled.
Interview with the vampire fandom this is the last time I bug you for a while, but please please tell me Twitter is an outlier and not all of you are celebrating the cancellation of other queer shows like it’s no big deal and that they all deserved it. It’s getting harder and hard to feel that way when these posts get thousands of likes. Tell me that all of you don’t think you’re 100% safe just because you’re not on a streaming platform and know that queer shows are more likely to get canceled. Please just show me that Twitter and outlier and just being weird and Twitter. This isn’t me trying to have a Gacha moment. I just wanna see the fandom not being entirely insane and mean like on Twitter.
#of course we only really know what the particular circle of blogs we follow are up to#but from what i've personally seen a lot of fans don't seem particularly optimistic about the future of the show#gonna be honest it's kind of odd to hear that people think the show is safer because it's on a network#the importance of ratings with traditional TV has fucked over soo many great shows with fervent fanbases in the past#that it feels almost more precarious#for a while there streaming was the safer option - the haven for niche shows with passionate creators and fans#it's strange to see that flip#also i haven't seen anything i'd remotely call celebrating when it comes to queer shows being cancelled#if people are talking about it then it's to mourn the show's loss or to support the fans who lost the show#amc iwtv
