There was a wolqotd about ocs with npc relatives over on the butterfly app, so I thought I should finally design Hyth's twin Penelope.

They were close, and were their whole lives, though they did relentlessly mess with one another. She was a carnivorous and poisonous plant specialist within the Words of Halmarut, and her greatest creation was the Morbol. She ensured her brother assessed it personally :)

❀Goddess AU; This is where Pit is a God, I know it’s suppose to say ‘God’ but this does have a bit of a story where either Palutena died or Palutena is missing. So Pit now takes over and is the new Goddess of Light.

❀Godtaker AU; Godtaker AU is about Pit being able to fuse with Gods/Goddesses (not on purpose) and have that power till the God’s are done with Pit or Pit is able to get out of it.

❀Galeem’s Precious Angel (GPA) AU; I think you all know what this is. Pit fused with Galeem. That’s all you need to know.

❀SpiderMac Universe; Pit will be a superhero named Lightress!

❀Prince Pit; Pit but he has his own Kingdom and he is a Prince!

❀ The Human Cut; Pit cuts his wings off and loses all connection to Palutena, Dark Pit, and Viridi. Turning human with immortal blood(This also takes place in Smash Universe)

❀Demon!Pit; It’s Pit, but more demon and sinful!! This does have two side AU’s where Pit was just born a demon and everything is literally the same or he is just evil Pit and hates holy beings.

❀Hospitalize; (In Smash Universe) Pit is unable to battle. His spinal cord has been fractured.

❀Shaymin!Pit; Pit is a Shaymin from the Pokémon Universe! This can also include Dark Pit! :D

❀Pokémonverse; Pit and Dark Pit joins the Pokémon Universe!

❀Angel’s Eternal Flight; Pit lives on without any wings.

❀Harpy AU; (Dark) Pit are now Harpies! Their arms are replaced with their wings and their feet are replaced with bird legs and talons.

About Muses!;

Pit

Pit is a flightless angel that lives in Skyworld, or Heaven as many people call it. He is the son of Lady Palutena, whom is the Goddess of Light. Pit is the Captain of Palutena’s Army, not only because he is her son, but he earnedit by crawling out of hell to save her when he was only five years old.

Pit’s personality is very positive and cheerful, he is also very sympathetic when it comes to friends and family, even strong connections to humans/mortals. However, Pit hates to talk about how he is flightless and being called worthless, this hurts him more then anything in the world. The angel tries his hardest to make everyone happy and wants people to know he is really friendly, he is also very determined when it comes to his missions/objectives.

Pit enjoys food and hot springs. Can’t get enough of it.

Dark Pit

Dark Pit is like the opposite of his twin, Pit. He acts aggressive, always snarky, and doesn’t appreciate people being disrespectful towards him. Unlike his brother, he tends to be more of a ‘range’ fighter, using sniper rifle staffs to his advantage. He also goes by Pittoo but he hates it when he gets called that. Dark Pit is also very caring towards his twin, sure, he act aggressive towards him, but that’s just sibling love.

Unlike Pit, he can actually read. And cuss, a lot.

(Slight Headcanon; He can also fly all by himself.)

Palutena

Palutena is the Goddess of Light. She is the mother of Pit and Dark Pit. She owns an army of angels and centurions that can rip through monsters and other armies. Not to mention, she is quite powerful. Her staff is able to help her use magical powers that aid her and her army in battle. She holds responsible for humanity and peace. Justice is what she strives for. Her personality is a little unexpected! She is cheerful but she can be serious when she needs to be. She does crack plenty of jokes and teases her sons over it. However, she loves her two children both dearly and wouldn’t ever let any harm get in their way. Unless they are battling, then there’s bound to be harm done. But she will heal them. Promise.

8. what writers influenced the way that you yourself write? how so? are there any that influenced you negatively?

my mum’s side is very British. Well, Aussie British. Because my grandparents and great-grandparents moved between England, Ireland and Australia all their lives, my mum was raised here but spent a few years in Britain and grew up with a lot of British Literature, History and media. When I was young I read a lot of classics, so I think my biggest influences were things like Enid Blyton, Beatrix Potter, the Brontes, etc. When I was living in Europe my aunt, who was teaching in England at the time, was also my only source of new books in English and I spent those two years reading J.K. Rowling, some JRR Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, Judy Blume. As a teenager I think the author that challenged me the most was Vladimir Nabokov, his mastery of language and style was just... beautiful. I think for me now, my style is a mixture of some rather old school stuff with dorky new language conventions thrown in. My favourite aspect of those stories was not only the way they commanded language, but also the way they described things. Description of not only people, and places but how they could make you feel something. 

In terms of negatively... Jane Austen. I’ll be honest, I loved English. I loved studying things like The Crucible, To Kill A Mockingbird, Saving Francesca, Shakespeare. But then we got to Jane Austen. Here’s the thing: I love Jane’s characters, I love her world, I think she has good plotlines, I admire what she did for the genre and for writing/literature but... I hate her style. I found it hard to read, it went on for pages never going anywhere. I can sit through JK Rowling describing all the foods at the Great Hall, or C.S. Lewis describing every creature in Aslan’s army. But... Jane’s descriptions never felt like they achieved anything. It was all noise. And for that reason I never enjoyed reading her work. I do love film and tv (and youtube) adaptations though.

I think it’s my love of novel and novel style that has made it hard for me as a screenwriter. My brain doesn’t like to write the way a screenwriter does and it takes a lot of discipline and drafts for me to get not only something that I’m happy with but that I can submit as a script. Film is such a visual language that as a screenwriter it’s hard for me to let some of that description of people and feeling go... and then I take it back too much and they ask for more details. It’s just. Hard.

sidenote: I have a list of books I love and I also have a list of books I think deserve to be adapted. if any of you want to know more about these hit me up. I love talking lit.

sidenote sidenote: I think reading in other languages has helped, too. You don’t realise that other languages have different punctuation and structures until you read in it and see how an author creates something that works really well in that language.

9. when you see a partner’s response to a thread, what are common misconceptions/assumptions you see other characters making about yours? is that purposeful?

Honestly? There hasn’t been much made about Dawn? I think the most common assumption is that she’s an OC, which is not surprising given that DC ignored the Twins and used them as plot points. And because there’s so little information a lot of my Dawn has become conjecture, headcanons, and tidbits from the comics expanded. I think sometimes she’s brash, or snarky and rubs people the wrong way. And I understand when other muses react the way they do, but it’s when the muns don’t get it that I struggle with trying to get across that she doesn’t mean to be insulting, or even rude. Sometimes she’s saying something because she’s angry and she has a lot of pent up hurt or rage, and sometimes she’s saying something because she is just a very upfront, brazen person. It’s easier with AUs or tv or movie verse because, to date, Barry hasn’t left his kids, and they haven’t grown up in a horrible future where everyone hates them and hunts them. 

I’ve had assumptions on other blogs where people assume I’m not POC, and get up me about stuff. Like when I told someone that their white fc for a poc character made me uncomfortable, and they were like you’re not poc get out. That one kinda sucks. I’ve had people reiterate fandom ideas about a character as if it were bible and tell me I’m doing things wrong. I’ve gotten hate on a blog before because even though I’d been around longer people preferred a different blog and then told me I was stealing ideas. I was just confused on that front tbh. But yeah, overall not a lot of misconceptions or assumptions. But I also try really hard to make sure I’m not misrepresenting characters or cultures. I think, with the case of Dawn for example, I’m trying hard to translate my own feelings about misconceptions and stigma and racism about my life into hers, but also read up on American situations and cultural identity of African Americans, and right now I’m doing more research on Jewish traditions and holidays and practices for my DCEU universe. I’m not infalliable, and I’ve been rping for years so I think at this point I’ve made mistakes that have taught me to take on criticism and suggestions and keep going. I think RP has taught me a lot about writing and audiences and life over the past... 6-7 years. And it’s important to just yeah, take things on board and admit mistakes and learn.

This was honestly supposed to be a short Axel centric story to deconstruct the fandom idolisation of him and point out that yknow he’s literally the second most manipulative character apart from Xehanort, and he backstabs literally everybody he sides with at some point. He’s not a good guy. That’s why I love him, he’s such a piece of shit.

And it’s turned into a very complicated AU with two kind-of-but-not-really OC’s because I refuse to deal with the clusterfuck that is Xion’s canon, so I’ve just made her a normal Nobody but that means I need to give her an Other, so Nio (pronounced neo) is now a character and she’s basically Xion but with a firm sense of identity and a lot less Issues, and I needed Xemnas to appear but I also wanted a nice not possessed Terra to be involved so now someones gotta get A. possessed by Xehanort B. resist it enough to make Xehanort lose his memories or some shit once in the body C. follow along with the whole Radiant Gardens destruction turn into Nobody thing and D. still look like Terranort because I like his design. So i accidentally ended up giving Terra a twin brother that gets possessed and is presumed dead with Xehanort but psyche bitches he’s still kicking. him being xehanort. the brother, Caelum, is also still there, but not doing so great. I named his Caelum because the wayfinder trio have latin as their naming theme and i figured terra’s twin should have a name opposite to earth and Caelum loosely translates to sky, so that’s good enough for me.

Xion’s other has been named Nio because Ion is just cutting off the X, no self respecting parent would name their child Oni, if I called her Oin i’d be picturing a dwarf in my head the whole time, and Ino reminds me of Naruto so that shits not gonna fly. Damn you three letters to work with. I’m not happy with Nio but it sounds cute so good enough????

I also managed to accidentally do some justice by Kairi and Namine, because in the extensive set up of the AU the wayfinder trio made it through BBS (mostly) fine, and Ven’s healing coma whatever the fuck was short, so once he recovered he was like hey theres these kids that have the keyblade we should go train them and eraqus was like lmao your problem now kids i’m retired so the trio went to destiny islands and found Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Namine, because I also refuse to deal with the fuckery of Namine’s canon so she gets to be a real person too. Sora obviously gets trained by Ven because the sunshine children should stick together and like they were heart buddies, they’re basically brothers already, you’re not talking them out of it. Riku gets trained by Aqua, because I personally headcanon Riku as being more magically inclined, and let’s be real here he’s also the only one with any chance of being the Real Adult of the group, and Aqua will both relate to that and help Riku mature into the leader thing for realsies. Kairi and Namine get trained by Terra, because while the physical abilities are important, so is the apprentices mental state, and Namine and Kairi both tend to hang back and let Sora and Riku handle everything, and just generally are more timid, plus Namine has wicked bad anxiety. So Terra teaches the girls to be these badass mighty warriors with giant ass keyblades because fuck that flowery bullshit, Riku is the mage and self appointed Team Dad, and Sora is the wonderful ray of sunshine that he is and goes for a bit of everything. Sora took the shield, Riku took the staff, Namine and Kairi took the sword. The Nio is found having taught herself how to summon a keyblade, and they’re like aw shit thats awesome which one did you choose and shes like lmao the staff why and they’re like aight sounds like Aqua’s problem, because Xion kind of needs to be good at magic considering for like a third of Days all she can do is cast magic, so she’d better be good at it.

As for how Roxas and Xion are around if this is so hardcore AU and Sora and Nio are running around.... eh, spoilers.

so far looking at five parts, each one a ridiculously long single chapter. P1 is the initial ‘short story’ haha nevermind, P2 is the aftermath and kind of a bastardisation of Days, P3 is the aftermath of THAT and kind of the bastardisation of KH2, P4 is the ‘how the fuck did we get here’ episode, that is literally what the outline says, and is the bastardisation of BBS, and P5 is the finale, and the bastardisation of 3D.
