#also how do you even mistake a medicham for a person

Ugh, people keep assuming I am some serious battles because I have a Medicham (his name is Marco) when he's kinda a service Pokémon for me. My bones don't work right so my Medicham does all the heavy lifting in the house and catches me before I bump into things or fall (which happens more than I would like.)
I live in walking distance from a fighting type gym amd Brawly was offering to hand out some Pokémon that weren't the best at competitive battles (apparently Marco is too calm) and he'll still check in to make sure the Pokémon are healthy.
"But Medicham are incredibly high energy and high strength, they can't possibly be happy in a non battling house." Marco is allowed to basically rearrange my furniture at will. He's a terrible interior designer but will happily move couches back and forth for fun. "But Medicham are naturally competitive--" I'm still in walking distance from a fighting type Gym. Marco will literally run circle around the Makuhita for fun. Brawly, who is a fighting type expert approves of the arrangement
"Medicham are still a Pokémon for advanced trainers" Marco is going to lift you, carry you out of my house, and block the door with a dresser if you talk bad about his life.
And then there are the freaks who think he is an attractive female. They get thrown in the ocean (they survive)
we are NOT going to ignore that last bit. ew
anyway im glad marcos having fun playing Happy Home Designer IRL
#pokemon#unreality#my apartment sucks i need marco to fix shit around. its so inefficient#also how do you even mistake a medicham for a person#pkmn irl

v3 Pokemon Team Headcanons
Partially for my own use so I don’t forget what I come up with before I draw them, but figured it would be nice to share them. Most of the ones do not include SW/SH ones since I don’t know too much about the game, unless I thought they really fit the character well.
-Rantaro has a lot of Pokemon from different regions and has acquired a few fossil Pokemon while traveling:
Lapras (who he rides on)
Aerodactyl (can Mega Evolve, but he doesn’t do it often)
Alolan Vulpix
Oddly enough, a Kangaskhan (his sisters are a big fan of her and have tried to ride in her pouch)
Gallade
Dhelmise (who resides by his ship when it’s not in use)
He also has an Oddish that was given as a gag gift from Kokichi due to it vaguely resembling his hair.
-Kaede has a lot of musically inclined and sweet-natured Pokemon, such as:
Chatot
Primarina
Altaria (can Mega Evolve)
Plusle (who is best friends with Shuichi’s Minun)
Jigglypuff (who has definitely caused some problems at a concert)
Blissey
She has also managed to befriend Meloetta, to everyone’s astonishment.
-Kaito has a lot of Rock-type Pokemon, and has made it his personal mission to go into space to see and catch Deoxys. No one knows how he’s going to accomplish that, but they humor him when he’s poring over meteors in a museum.
Lunatone
Solrock
Minior (purple)
One (1) very fiery-tempered female Mankey he named after Maki. Kaito was promptly whooped by both of them for making the comment about their names. (Mankey...Maki...if you say it fast enough they sound similar!!)
Starmie
Maki has also given Kaito a male Litleo that has evolved into a Pyroar.
-Himiko has a few Psychic or Ghost type Pokemon that help her in her maaagic shows:
Mismagius
Hattena
Klefki
Komala (often found dozing off together)
Braixen
Alakazam (can Mega Evolve) (who she’ll use sometimes to get Kokichi to stop whatever he’s doing with its psychic powers)
Tenko has given her a Stufful from her Bewear’s egg! She finds it very cute but doesn’t use it in shows since it doesn’t like being on stage.
-Gonta is ALL ABOUT THE BUGS. B U G S G A L O R E. He’d definitely be a bug-type breeder in the Pokemon universe:
Heracross (can Mega Evolve)
Beautifly
Dustox
Pinsir and Scyther (which look a lot scarier than they actually are, like their trainer. Unlike Gonta at times, they can smell Kokichi’s BS a mile away and try to scare him away when he’s up to no good.)
Wimpod (who Gonta is patiently working on confidence with)
Lurantis (baited..,,He was pretty disappointed initially when it wasn’t a bug type, but he couldn’t say no to how pretty it was!)
-Tsumugi has Pokemon that like mimicking things and can help her in competitions, so that includes:
Ditto (ability is Imposter!)
Zoroark
Mr. Mime
The sassiest, most vain female Meowstic the world has seen with an unusual liking for Shuichi’s Meowstic
Cosplay Pikachu (a fan favorite)
Also, I can see her have a Malamar or some other Dark type?
-Like Miu, Kiibo also has mostly Electric and Steel-types that can help him if he ever shorts out. He’s tried to get some non-Electric or Steel types, but they really seem to be attracted to him wherever he goes...
Klink
Electivire
Aron (who promptly tried chewing on him when they first met)
Magnezone
Ampharos (can Mega Evolve)
Tynamo (Miu gave him an egg from her Eelektross)
-Tenko’s team is 1 0 0% f e m a l e. Nothing more, nothing less:
Mienshao (her pride and joy)
Riolu
Medicham (a gift from Himiko as a Meditite, can Mega Evolve)
Tsareena (who CAN and WILL kick your teeth out)
Nidoqueen (gets into fights with Kokichi’s Nidoking over who is The Superior Nido)
Bewear (often used to hug Himiko, to the latter’s chagrin at times)
-Ryoma straight up only has cat Pokemon that he doesn’t really use to battle:
Glameow
Espurr
Purrloin (who has a bad habit of pickpocketing)
Skitty
Both Alolan and Kantonian Persians. (Yes, they have the smuggest smirks on their faces. They know they’ve got the best trainer.)
Torracat
But he also has Voltorb that strangely enough, enjoys being smacked by a tennis racquet.
-Miu has a few Steel and Electric-types for helping her inventions, but also has ones that she personally finds cute:
Klinklang
Eelektross
Smoochum
Rotom (with all the motors! Kirumi’s Cinccino does not get along with it because it often masks as some of the household appliances)
Salazzle (has definitely used the pheromones for her inventions)
Octillery
-Kokichi, as expected, has a lot of purple prankster Pokemon, so mostly Ghost and Dark:
LIEpard
Shiny Zorua (matches Shuichi’s Shiny Umbreon and wreaks havoc when it turns into Umbreon, since they’re both Shiny)
Gengar (can Mega Evolve)
Sableye (ability is of course, Prankster)
Crobat (Even though he’s a Supreme Leader, the high friendship stat is proof that he is a kind person at heart..!)
NidoKING
For Ryoma’s birthday, he gave an egg from his Liepard. Rantaro has also given him a Stunfisk after Kokichi kept commenting on how it was the funniest Pokemon he’s seen (a most grievous mistake, as Kokichi has started putting it in inconvenient places that most people step on)
-Korekiyo has more spiritual/folklore-esque Ghost Pokemon on his team, but also has some old fossil or archaeological ones he keeps in and out of rotation on his trips. Ghost type Pokemon seem to follow him wherever he goes...
Sigilyph, Baltoy, Spiritomb, and Relicanth are in rotation
Yanmask
Litwick
Banette (can Mega Evolve)
Doublade
Froslass (based off the yuki-onna)
Roserade
Kirumi has given him a Dratini egg from her Dragonair, since it’s a fairly rare Pokemon that he was interested in studying at the time.
-Kirumi does not have a specific type preference, but rather ones that fit the practicality of her talent and aesthetic:
Shiny Gardevoir (can Mega Evolve)
Dragonair
Milotic
Cinccino (loves to clean and 100% helps her out when she’s sweeping the dorms. Has beef with Kokichi and Miu’s Pokemon at all times)
Ariados (which Kokichi hates, but Gonta loves and dotes on)
Serperior (infamous for its Resting Mom Face that shuts everyone up with its Glare move)
She also has a Glalie from a Snorunt that Korekiyo has given her (sorry gotta plug the subtle ship.) It has a mischievous streak of hanging out in the refrigerator and freezer box.
-Maki favors Dark types that can help her like:
Bisharp (has threatened to use Guillotine on Kokichi and Kaito numerous times)
Houndoom (can Mega Evolve)
Sneasel
Mightyena (has also threatened to bite Kokichi and Kaito)
Sharpedo
Alolan Marowak (who Kaito and Kokichi has been a victim of clubbing a few times)
Indeedee (Female, exclusively used when she babysits)
(They look scary, but they’re all actually big softies. Kaito’s also given her a female Litleo so they can match, and a Togepi--)
-Angie has whimsical and art-inspired ones to fit her talent and personality such as:
Spinda (she draws inspiration from its movements)
Ludicolo
Oricorio (Sensu)
Xatu (they 100% share visions together)
Smeargle
Golurk (statue!)
Angie also has a Whimsicott with the ability Prankster that she rotates out every now and then.
-Shuichi probably has mostly dark types, but overall has Pokemon that can help him on his investigations:
Shiny Umbreon
Espeon (came from the same parent as his Umbreon, they are inseparable)
Midnight Lycanroc
Minun (best friends with Kaede’s Plusle)
Absol (can Mega Evolve)
A rather timid Meowstic (M) that enjoys stealing his hat so much he had Tsumugi make a mini one for his Pokemon. Tsumugi’s Meowstic is unhealthily obsessed with his Meowstic.

Big Hero 6: Pokemon AU
So I’ve been wanting to do this for like forever, but I’ve been having the hardest time also figuring out what Pokemon all of them would have and Pokemon that would match their personalities, their “special” abilities, and such.
Baymax is still a robot in this universe, and his design still stays the same. Originally, I thought about him being shaped or designed to look more like a Chansey or Blissey. Chansey and Blissey are characteristically known as being healing Pokemon, they’re always in the Pokemon Center with Nurse Joy tending to their Pokemon patients. But Baymax was inspired by Tadashi’s Chansey.
Tadashi used to have a Chansey as a child, which he’s had ever since it was a Happiny. Chansey was always taking care of him and Hiro, and their parents. He knew that Chansey wanted to help people and Pokemon, it was in the Pokemon’s nature. Chansey died in the car accident that killed Tadashi and Hiro’s parents, protecting the two children. Tadashi built Baymax in Chansey’s memory, wanting to fulfill his Pokemon’s dream of helping other. Chansey was the only Pokemon Tadashi ever owned, he never took another partner after Chansey.
When Tadashi dies, however, Hiro doesn’t have a Pokemon. He never took an interest to being a Pokemon trainer or even having a Pokemon. Hiro’s reasoning was that, because Aunt Cass had Mochi (who’s a Meowth by the way), it never felt like he needed his own Pokemon. He’s also never come across a Pokemon that he felt particularly fond of or wanted as a partner. Especially since he could just build his own, realistic robot versions of Pokemon.
Instead of bot fighting, Hiro participates in underground, sketchy battle tournaments where trainers not only risked big bucks but also their Pokemon is their opponents liked what they were up against. Hiro has a tiny, robot replica of a Joltik that he uses in his battling. Everyone already underestimates the pokemon because they think its a bug type and it’s so tiny. When Joltik is “defeated” against Yama the first time, it was just Hiro hussling Yama. It isn’t until after Yama loses does everyone realize Hiro had a robot instead of an actual Joltik. Which is good, but not good enough to take on more than one or two Pokemon at a time. And he has a hell of a lot of Houndour and Mightyena chasing him and Tadashi.
It isn’t until after Hiro defeats Callaghan, does he actually get his first Pokemon. A Magnemite. The reasoning behind this is mainly connected to the cartoon more than the movie, as a major part of Hiro’s “abilities” other than his super genius is his use of magnetization to solve problems. And Magnemite are drawn to electric fields. Hiro still has the robot Joltik, but its mainly used as a toy or for recon that might be too worried for the others or any of their Pokemon. Baymax is very pleased that Hiro has found a Pokemon that he wants to raise and get stronger alongside.
Although Hiro only has one Pokemon, his Magnemite, Gogo, Honey Lemon, Fred, and Wasabi have a small team of their own Pokemon.
Honey Lemon has a Buneary, a Wigglytuff, a Duosion, and Beautifly. She has a pretty diverse team consisting of a Normal Type, a Normal-Fairy Type, a Psychic Type, and a Bug-Flying Type. Buneary and Wigglytuff are really cute Pokemon, and match Honey Lemon’s adoration for all things super cute and adorable. Plus, Wigglytuff is bouncy and Honey Lemon uses her chem-balls to bounce or soften the landing of falling objects. Duosion also follows this logic of just how she uses her chem-balls. She makes herself that bunny, gelatinous armor to protect herself. Beautifly is mainly a reference to Honey Lemon’s “butterfly parties” but is also a very pretty and cute Pokemon.
Gogo has a Pachirisu, a Luxio, and Hitmonchan. Electric Types are the closest to Electromagnetic Suspension as you can get with Pokemon. Electric types are also the fastest of all the other Pokemon types. And considering Gogo loves going fast, it’s pretty obvious. That’s why she has Luxio and Pachirisu. Luxio is an intimidating looking Pokemon, who doesn’t look like the type of Pokemon to mess with (just like how Gogo doesn’t look like the type of person you want to mess with). Hitmonchan was decided upon because Gogo practices boxing as a form of work out (this is mainly revealed in the cartoon). Hitmonchan is designed as a boxer and all of its moves typically involve punching something. Why give someone who practices boxing, even if its just for exercise and not sport, a Fighting type that wasn’t designed around boxing when it exists?
Furthermore, anyone who has seen the Pokemon anime and watched the first episode Pachirisu was featured in knows how fast they can be. The only annoying thing is that Gogo’s Pachirisu is constantly being mistaken as Honey Lemon’s because of it’s adorable, cute appearance. Everyone assumes that only Honey Lemon would have the adorable Pokemon and all of Gogo’s pokemon would be scary or intimidating. Nope. Pachirisu hates this judgement way more than Gogo, and will go out of its way to ignore anyone who makes that mistake or glare daggers at them (especially if the person refuses to correct their mistake). Pachirisu will go so far as to refuse to listen to anyone who isn’t Gogo, just to drive the point home.
With the exception of his Slakoth, Fred’s Pokemon consists mainly of Dragon Types. Why wouldn’t it, considering how much the guy loves monsters and kaijus? Dragon types fit that aesthetic the most out of any other Pokemon type. Fred has a Zweilous, Fraxure, and Gible alongside his Slakoth. Slakoth is actually the first Pokemon Fred has ever had and the oldest companion he’s had. Although his Zweilous was technically suppose to be his starter (back when it was a Dino),
Fred found Slakoth back when he was around Hiro’s age, abandoned by its trainer because it was so slow and difficult to train and injured from a previous battle it had lost. When Fred returned home, carrying Slakoth, neither of his parents made much of a fuss. Sure, Mrs. Frederickson was worried about what her rich, socialite friends would say about Fred having a Slakoth instead of a Dratini or Growlithe. But she didn’t dare make a scene or fight with Fred when she saw how much he cared over Slakoth and loved him. If anything, Mr. and Mrs. Frederickson saw it as an opportunity to see if Fred was truly ready for the responsibility to have a Pokemon. Fred doesn’t battle with Slakoth, because Slakoth doesn’t want to battle (and won’t unless Fred is in danger) and Fred respects that. Slakoth was mainly picked because I think many people who don’t know would assume that Fred was lazy or slow just based on his appearance. But in actuality, Fred is super hyper and energetic. Slakoth’s more relaxed and slower nature balances out Fred’s energy and often forces him to slow down and relax a bit. Mr. and Mrs. Frederickson were so impressed with how attentive Fred was to Slakoth’s feelings and needs, that they would later give him the Dino meant to be his starter originally.
Probably the hardest character to decide Pokemon for was Wasabi. Mainly because I wasn’t sure what type of Pokemon would best suit his character. There isn’t exactly any Pokemon (as far as I know) that specialize in lazers. And other than Minccino, there aren’t any Pokemon (to my knowledge or memory) that tend to clean. Now, sort of obviously now that I’ve pointed it out, Wasabi has a Minccino. How can he not have a Pokemon who enjoys cleaning and is as diligent as he is about it?
Wasabi’s Pokemon team also consists of a Medicham, an Umbreon, and a Bayleef. Medicham is due to Wasabi’s interest in meditation (a hobby expressed in Big Hero 6 the series and cartoon shorts). Medicham’s powers come from meditating and meditation is how Wasabi centers himself and relaxes. Bayleef is due to Wasabi’s interest in sustainable garden, being a grass type. And Umbreon is due to Wasabi’s dislike/fear of the dark. The rings on Umbreon’s fur light up and glow in the dark, so I imagine Wasabi would find a lot of comfort from this Pokemon.
And, for those of you who also watch the cartoon and are curious, I’ve also got some thoughts on what kind of Pokemon Karmi and Megan would have.
Karmi, much to Hiro’s frustration and anger in the beginning, has a Happiny. Hiro’s anger towards Karmi having a Happiny has less to do with their rivalry and how she treated him in the beginning and more to do with comparing her to Tadashi. He can’t stand how such a mean, intolerable person could have such a sweet, caring Pokemon. Most of what he knows about the Happiny evolutionary line comes from Tadashi and story’s about Tadashi’s Chansey. And Hiro has always thought highly of Tadashi.
But Karmi also has a Nidorina and a Roselia. Roselia because the Pokemon reminds me of that rose Karmi had, that was a blend of robotics and biology. I just remember how really cool the rose was, how important a moment it was connected to for her and I think just an incredible blend of both Karmi and Hiro’s specialties/passions. The main reason Karmi has Nidorina is because of the Poison Typing. Karmi specializes in pathology, and the closest to pathology with Pokemon is Poison Types in a way. However, most scientist type trainers in the Pokemon games only carry around Grimer/Muk and Koffing/Weezing. Neither of those Pokemon seemed like they suited a biologist, or a pathologist to be even more specific.
Hiro and Karmi continue to compete academically, but Karmi will also claim that she’s a superior trainer to Hiro, because she has three amazing Pokemon, and Hiro is still learning how to train Magnemite.
Megan has a Whismur. Out of all of Hiro’s friends, she is the only other person who also only has one Pokemon. As an aspiring reporter/detective, Whismur felt like the logical choice because of how focused and centralized it is around sound. Whismur, and the Whismur evolution line, is also used by the reporter/interviewer in the Gen III Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald GBA Pokemon games. Despite Whismur’s size though, it shouldn’t be underestimate and has taken on many opponents much larger than it and won.
Despite only having one Pokemon, Megan has had a lot of experience with taking care of them because her father is a police officer. Chief Cruz has an Arcanine himself, and Megan often helped take care of the station’s Growlithes and the young inexperienced Growlithe they were training. Originally, her father wanted to give her a Growlithe or Houndour as her first Pokemon, but she instead came home with her Whismur one day. She had convinced a classmate to lend her their Pokemon so that she could capture Whismur. And the rest was history. He still plans to one day get Megan a Growlithe or Houndour for her birthday or a special occassion, but is not sure when. Nor does he want Megan or Whismur to take it the wrong way and assume that he doesn’t think they can take care of themselves.

Pokémon SoulSilver Randomized Nuzlocke [Part 1]
Since I haven’t fully learned from my mistakes, hey! It’s time for another Nuzlocke. With extra Randomizer action for reasons that are going to be very apparent as I go through this set’s rules.
I’m going to try what this person on the internet calls a Chainlocke, though with slight alterations for the sake of sanity; basic idea is that my catch Types have to be linked. If I catch a Grass/Poison pokemon, my next option has to have one of those in common.
That gets thorny really fast, which I guess is the point, but I’m more about wacky fun than serious challenges. So to make things more entertaining, I will be randomizing every pokemon in the wild, as well as NPC gifts and trades. All the other Trainers keep their original stuff. I get to be special.
So. Rules:
Only the first viable pokemon of each route may be caught.
Gift pokemon are cool to use.
In-game trades are also cool.
‘Viable’ in this case means that they must have a Type in common with the most recent caught pokemon.
The starter will be starting that chain despite not technically being caught by me. Because I feel like it.
Each pokemon must receive a nickname.
If a pokemon faints, it is considered dead. It will go in an appropriately named box in the PC.
In the event of a team wipe, the run will continue with whatever’s left (alive) in the PC.
And that’s about it. Let’s kick it.
No.
I can’t remember if this version does the all-caps for names or not. In any case, this protagonist avatar will take on the name Sunny. Because I am in a warm and welcoming mood, ready to make all the new creatures I encounter my friends.
I love how they have Lyra use the mail system.
Someone has to.
It certainly won’t be anyone playing these games.
Okay, based on how Lyra’s Marill is discussed, human names don’t get the all-caps treatment, but pokemon do. What does this mean for my nicknaming schemes? No idea. The hour is late and I don’t care enough.
-rubs hands together-
Hmmmm.
...
Dude.
Get out.
Hmmmm.
I can’t pick Cyndaquil, because what even is the point if I do that. Sableye I’ve never been so interested in as a true companion. Dewgong is fully evolved, and I hate starting out with that.
However.
I never get to use Dewgong.
Seel is never anywhere convenient.
DEWGONG WELCOME TO THE TEAM!
Shaped like a friend.
I haven’t worked out any particular theme for this run. I can name her whatever I want. I think I shall call her Chance.
Look at how cute she is. She is adorable. Sassy and highly persistent. I declare her perfect. She also knows Headbutt! That matters beyond being a cool move in this version! Much squeeing! She also knows Growl, Signal Beam, and Icy Wind.
My next pokemon will have to be Water or Ice. It will probably be Water, thanks to Water being absurdly common. That’s cool. I like Water pokemon.
And so, without yet being able to catch anything, I head out into the world. Running my obligatory fetch quest for Professor Elm.
Huh, a Smoochum says hello. That’s a good thing to know for later. But what’s in the Headbutt tree?
...A Hoothoot. Sigh. Well, one less thing to worry about when finding pokemon.
Weedle also lurks in the grass.
Yay. Gotta go fast.
Can I buy poke balls yet?
No. Sad face.
The next route has Kricketot. Did I check the similar strength button by accident?
Then suddenly, Grumpig! Okay, sweet. Just a few Buggy coincidences. Gligar is also here.
Literally have never heard of you. You have a boring name. No one should ever copy it ceaselessly for a gag that no one sees any value in.
Hello, a wild challenger approaches! With his super duper Totodile! Headbutt it, Chance. Headbutt it into submission. Good girl.
Uh. There’s not enough room for it.
Perfect.
I love how Silver’s most defining feature is his red hair.
After a short visit home to tell our mom we are far too irresponsible to be trusted with all of the money we’re going to earn from mugging other children, plus a short tutorial on catching things, we can finally get started!
Smoochum is the only thing available in the routes we’ve visited so far, but I haven’t checked out the northern one right outside the starting town yet.
But the walking takes the decision out of my hands! We encounter a level 4 Smoochum, and as per the rules, that is what I have to go for. Lest I kill the route.
...
I killed the Smoochum.
I guess that answers my question about its Typing. Ruh roh. Signal Beam was a mistake. For multiple reasons, now that I’m taking a second to think about it. Whoops. Any game that requires me to think is screwed from the start, honestly.
So now we search for something else to catch.
Route 46? Be nice?
Carvanha! That’s a Water! Can catch!
In theory. It’s broken out of two pokeballs. It’s also level 2, so I don’t think I can risk attacking it.
.I’m going to run out of balls, aren’t I?
I think I have to risk an Icy Wind. I’m on my last poke ball. I don’t really want to leave it purely up to the mood of the RNG.
Chance apparently doesn’t want friends.
She got a critical hit.
Two dead routes! Okay!
Still needing a Water or Ice Type!
Also more Poke Balls!
One of those problems I can fix. As for the other, inb4 the Mystery Egg and whatever I get from Bill are the only other teammates Chance ever has.
We march through the trainers between us and the next town. Certain of nothing but Chance’s ability to murder them all.
Route 31 has an Elekid as the first thing I see and the rules say I can’t catch it. What horrible person came up with this. Seviper and Lopunny are also here. Those I care less about.
Dark Cave? Help? Mayhaps?
A Golbat appears.
Okay.
Before we think too hard on that, I’ve gotta say that I do love how gen 4 does the caves. They are very gorgeously cavernous, and the few times I bother to think about the background art, I enjoy walking through them.
But yeah, is there anything in this cave that is not a Golbat?
Route 31 has a Butterfree.
These are things that do not help me.
The person who usually gives you an Onix for a Bellsprout in whatever this city is (Violet) offers a Corphish for a Kecleon. Things to keep in mind if I ever find a Kecleon. That I can catch.
In no version of this game have I ever done this egg thing. I was unaware there even was an egg thing, since anything that requires me to pick the right word out of the hat of words bores me to tears. Then I started watching too many people play Pokemon games on the internet.
-Googles how to get egg-
So normally, you can get a Mareep, Wooper, or Slugma. In the spirit of the Chainlocke, even though I said gifts were cool, we’ll take the Wooper egg. Vote now on whether or not it’ll actually be a Wooper. I don’t know how to use the Randomizer.
Hm. Iiiiiiinteresting.
Chance, Headbutt some trees on the off chance that a Water pokemon falls out, please.
It’s a Hoothoot.
I get the feeling that the Randomizer settings didn’t care about the pokemon found through Headbutting.
Route 32. Help.
Gligar. That is not help.
Rhydon is not help either. Likewise Torchic.
SQUIRTLE. THAT IS HELP.
...
...
...
Chance.
Why are you getting so many critical hits against your friends. Do you not want friends. Have I raised you to be so antisocial.
-sigh- Route 32 declared dead.
Ruins of Alph? Maybe you have someone Chance likes?
...
Why is Gligar everywhere.
I guess. I will go to the tower. With Chance. Just the two of us.
Plus the Gloom egg, which is looking like a very likely candidate for the only friend Chance will ever have. Besides the Mystery Egg we don’t have yet.
(Also Rock Smash HM get. Yaaaaay.)
Local level 11 Dewgong beats up 3 year-olds.
So many dead Bellsprout.
I haven’t run into any wild pokemon here, yet. Sadness. We will never know which new friend Chance was going to kill next.
SURPRISE!
It’s Medicham.
Chance kills it.
Partially because I can’t catch it anyway, partially because that is just what Chance does. Her sassiness belies her murderous intent.
Flash obtained with little fuss, and time to move on to Falkner. He of the coolest name. Yet another Gym Leader I wanted to be as a child. Even if he uses nothing but birds. Falkner is just the coolest name.
Oh, and it looks like there’s also Roselia in this tower.
I can’t do anything about it, but that’s nice.
I love how each generation of pokemon decides the Gyms need to be more extra.
They’re right and they should say it.
-five seconds later- Well that went by quickly. Good girl, Chance. Your murder spree continues. And our prize? Picking up the Mystery Egg! Which gets to be a genuine mystery for now! Chance! You might have a friend! In pure spite of your best efforts!
Time to spend an hour doing nothing but walking. I normally wouldn’t be so interested in hatching the eggs, but. I would kind of like to have a promise of Chance not being completely alone this entire game.
One down! His name is Cloud! He is... also Sassy (Chance, is this why you let him stay), level 1, and alert to sounds!
!
whatisitwhatisitwhatisitwhatisit
...Wow. Something I actually could have gotten legitimately in this Chainlocke. In theory. In a world where Chance is of slightly different temperament.
Her name shall be Sleet. She is Quiet and likes to run.
Hm.
I remain unsure if I’m going to actually use either of these new friends. The spirit of what I’m going for with this doesn’t really work with me just being handed two random Official Teammates. I might change my mind after a few more routes of things not going well for me, but for now, I think I’ll mostly stick to me and Chance.
..Though before I do..
They’re both level 1. I can be nice and not set them up for death. They can make it to level 5 before we say a cordial farewell. I can grind in this game. I can be nice.
-ten minutes later-
-tfw Ivysaur also lives on Route 32 because Route 32 is starter central-
Niceness done, let’s get on the road.
The road takes us, and our level 17 Dewgong, to Union Cave.
If you squint, this looks like fanart of a sleeping Sandslash.
Will we find the Water or Ice pokemon our team longs for here????
You have got to be fucking kidding me.
Uh.
Let me look up the rules for evolving Feebas in this gen. Because Feebas is pure Water. If I can’t evolve it, I’m better off killing it so I have more options available with what I can catch.
...
The internet says I need eight massages from Daisy (Blue’s sister. in Pallet Town.) to max its Beauty so it can evolve.
Chance. just. just do the thing. we all know how this ends.
So dies Union Cave.
Awww, how cute. A Shaymin. Now just one of the many corpses littered at Sunny’s feet. Hariyama is also here. A floor below, it’s the return of Grumpig. Plus Yanmega for the first time. Girafarig.
-SIGH-
Route 33. Do you want to save us?
Weezing.
WHISCASH. GIMME. CHANCE, SWAP OUT AND LET CLOUD HELP.
AT LONG LAST.
WE HAVE.
THE CHAINLOCKE’S FIRST CATCH.
FLUDD, WELCOME TO THE TEAM!
NEXT CATCH?
WATER OR GROUND!
LET’S END IT THERE WHILE THINGS ARE STILL GOOD.

Pokemon Verse:
{Old Pokemon card that he doesn’t have the heart to change.}
Name: Ricardo Ramos
Age: 18-19
Pokemon: Xatu, Kingdra, Dragalge, Greninja, Medicham, Mienshao
Trainer Class: Psychic (He can only read souls, and see the future somewhat.)
Hometown: Jotho
Likes to visit: Alola
Favorite Pokemon: Anything that has a big heart or a fighting spirit. Personality: Ricardo is a very honest young boy, and will state what is troubling people or help them out even if no one ever asked him too. The reason for this is because, you see this young man can not chill for one moment. He has to state what is wrong or help someone, because he can sense it in there soul, which he can read. And if the pain or problem is big enough it will hurt him as well. So he has not choice but to state the problem not caring what you think or have to say. Because of this he also comes off as a jerk who knows too much. When really he is just psychic who can’t control his powers, and has gotten used to them thanks to his pokmeon. Who are the only ones it seems that he likes compared to most humans.
Bio: Ever since he could remember he always had psychic powers and could do things that most humans couldn’t. But thanks to his pokemon he was able to be in a good state of mind. Now a bit older and wiser he is traveling to locations he has never been too before, and hopes to one day find the truth of the pokemon world. Like the ghost world/dimension.
Pokemon
Xatu Gender: Male Nickname: None Nature: Calm Moves: Air Slash Fly Psychic Dazzling Gleam Bio: Little 8 year old Ricardo founded him when he was a Natu and it was in a weak state. So he patched him up and ever since then they have been inseparable. Xatu was also always there when Ricardo has his psychic breakdowns. Just him being there always helped out the trainer a great deal. Years later he found out that his Natu was a shiny, and the reason he found him in a weak state could have been because the Natu’s family abandon him for being a said shiny. Also as a side note: Natu liked to go on Ricardo’s head when it was smaller. Now that its older and a Xatu. It dosen’t understand that it’s not a baby anymore.
Kingdra Gender: Male Nickname: King Nature: Rash Moves: Surf Hydro Pump Ice Beam Rain Dance Bio: A horsea he got on his very first pokemon adventure to Kanto. During there time together the little horsea was always a great help to him, and was the one who really opened Ricardo up to the ocean waters. So even if he is a psychic trainer he has a huge soft spot for water pokemon because of him. Kingdra is also the perfect swimming buddy. Helping Ricardo find items form the ocean sea and some berries from small islands.
Dragalge Gender: Female Nickname: Empress Nature: Hasty Moves: Sludge Wave Thunder Water Pulse Dragon Tail Bio: When ever he was in Kalos waters Ricardo always felt eyes on him. Those eye’s belonged to no other then a stubborn Skrelp who fell in love with the trainers Seadra at the time. So she would track him down until Ricardo would notice her. It took a few tries but Ricardo saw the Skrelp and sensed it’s determination in her and wanted the pokemon in his team. The trainer did noticed how stubborn she was and saw the Skrelp adorable enough to be called Princess. But she hated the name and Ricardo just called her Empress, which she saw as a better fit for herself. Both Ricardo and Kingdra have no idea that Empress has a crush on King.
Greninja Gender: Male Nickname: Shadow Nature: Gentle Moves: Water Shuriken Spikes Night Slash Giga Impact Bio: Ricardo decided a long time ago that he wanted his starter to be a Froakie. He felt that if he ever got one that it would be this serious pokemon that would keep him in check. And once he reached Kalos and was able to pick his starter. What he got was this happy go lucky sweet Froakie who seemed to not like fighting. This worried Ricardo at the start, but later it was shown that Froakie is a pokemon who only fights when he has to. And once he because a Grenija his Gentle nature showed even more. He would notice things wrong with his team before Ricardo, and resolve most of the problems. Because of this he comes off as the cool uncle of the group, that the others really do like and respect.
Mega Medicham Gender: Male Nickname: Nature: Serious Moves: Meditate High Jump Kick Counter Shadow Ball Bio: On his pokemon adventure to Hoenn he was given a Meditite by someone from the mountains. They didn’t say why. They just gave it to him and left. Ricardo didn’t know why this happened. but he felt like it was fate that he was given this pokemon. Because this was the one who helped him control his future seeing ability as well as his soul reading. During battles Ricardo knew it’s strength and ability it had under him. So for a month straight Ricardo trained under the new evolved Medicham knowing that this would help him. After that he better understands his power as a psychic trainer, and his pokemon Medicham. Making there bond in sink with each other. And once he knew about mega evolution. You bet him and his Medicham trained hard to be able to control it’s power. Which is why Medicham is the power house of the team. In fact there bond is so much in sink that they copy each other with out knowing it.
Mienshao Gender: Female Nickname: None Nature: Bashful Moves: Poison Jab Drain Punch Attract Aura Sphere Bio: When Ricardo turned 14 his aunt bought him a Mienfoo egg that she knew he would love. And once it hatch Ricardo was so happy because he loved the blue coat on the pokemon. So for a long time because of it’s coat he thought that she was a he. And once he was told of her gender he felt really bad for mistaking that for her. But despite this she loves Ricardo very much and would even practice fighting with each other to get stronger. She also knows how beautiful she is but it never goes to her head. Which is why if you ever told her how pretty her pink coat is, or how lovely she fights she’ll get embarrassed, but accept the complement.
