Thinking about how people treat shonen as if it’s a genre of anime when it’s a demographic cause no one knows what to simply call action anime that gets really popular and what the normies always consume compared to other genres cause even shojo isn’t just “calling every magical girl you see just a shojo, it’s still its own genre that happens to be targeted for a shojo demographic” and I get it cause so many of these big shonen animes are harder to define-
But I love how no one ever wants to admit mecha *is* quiet literally shonen most of the time and it’s painfully fucking obvious with a lot of super robot shows and I’m sometimes tempted to say to piss someone off “new getter is my favorite shonen” but I’m already causing so much violence with this post probably lol.

Hypmic First Impressions
Sorry I'm late to the party, I heard we were talking about rap and Idols so now I'm here to simp. Also, it's my first time about Hypmic so don't take seriously what my dumb ass is writing, I just clearly wrote the first thing which came in my no thoughts-head empty mind www
Ikebukuro Division: Buster Bros

Yamada Ichiro
He looooow-key looks like a shonen protagonist
He thinks he's cool and mature while the only things he does is being arrogant
Only has one braincell and everyone has enough of him god SHUT UP
But for some reason I still imagine him being a flirt and a low-key popular one
He reminded me at first of Ace Trappola from Twst and I have no idea why.
A dork. And he has two (2) ahoges so ofc he's twice dumber
I not so low-key wanna sit on his lap and call him sexy o///o
Yamada Jiro

Aohitsugi Samatoki
He's hot and I can feel a good part of the Fandom simping for him am I wrong
I understand why ngl
He looks ready to murder you with his dead stare
BUT !! Do not fear my child !!!
He has the .☆.。.:*・°𝕚𝕕𝕚𝕠𝕥 𝕙𝕒𝕚𝕣°・*:.。.☆.
Sweet honey, there's even two of them ????
I'm sure he looks all intimadating cuz otherwise nobody would take him seriously
But is he a bigger dork than Ichiro ??? That is the question.
Aruma Juto
?????????????
Is that Lucifer and Sebastian's child ???
He iridiates mafioso vibes so much, I won't trust him with my life
He almost looks too strict for me to imagine him being in a rap battle
Didn't want to spoil myself but it seems that group has something to do with Yakuzas and shit
So now I'm nothing but w h e e z i n g about imagining Yakuzas settling accounts with rap battles
But it's also kinda hot too aight o///o
I'm sure that guy must secretly have some bdsm kink, idk I just feel it
Busujima Manson Rio
I don't know who you are but I'm already in love with you, just telling

Please protecc him
Shibuya Division: Fling Posse
It looks so colorful and pop, those guy will fight you with the power of moe and cute emojis before crushing you with their bare hands.
Amemura Ramuda

He is a ball of sunshine
Surprisingly v smart ? Don't underestimate him or he'll beat you to death with the most beautiful smile ever <3
Yumeno Gentaro
Ohhhh it's the guy Saito Soma voices
He has a pretty face owo
When I look at his outfit, I absolutely can't imagine him rapping tbh
I'm sure he's actually a huge dramaqueen with an unique sense of beauty coming from the depths of space idk
He's not like the other girls so he chose a v old phone as his mic and he looks RAVISHING with it
Arisugawa Dice
He looks like some sort of gangsta
But like, a STYLISH gangsta
He makes the radio he's holding look so light when I know it would crush my shoulder :')
He's the cool one
He looks like the hot-blooded type who'd start fights as soon as you say he looks like shit
Lemme steal your coat sir-
His hair rlly looks soft… o///o but not as much as Ramuda's gomen
Shinjuku Division: Matenrō
I feel like this is the overly cheated group everyone looks up to and wants to beat up. Maybe some sort of veterans ???
Jinguji Jakurai
Those silky long hair !!!! :ooo
You look v fine sir
He has a mafia boss vibe
The type to always be quiet and deep in his thoughts. He's a mystery for everyone.
Have existential and philosophical questionings
"Why must this world be full of pain and suffuring ?" "I wish a world where everyone could be happy"… or something.
He honestly looks too soft for me to be evil, idk
Izanami Hifumi
Ohhhhhh
He's hot :o
I'm sure he's a womanizer tho
I mean, he's winking and holding a rose, if it isn't the weapons of a womanizer then I'm out
He's sooo flashy, he has fans at every corners
Might be super popular and a womanizer, he doesn't have any intentions of breaking your heart or being a douchebag cuz he's c l e a n
I really like him tbh and I want to burry my face in his hair
Kannonzaka Doppo
Is that Saeran Choi from another dimension ????
Excuse me sir, I think you should go see a therapist
He emanates so much anxiety and self-loath I can't help but feel the need to hug him and protect him
Poor guy must have a rough life, huh
I'm waiting for the day he'll snap and kill everyone
I feel like he would have some sort of sadomasochistic side ???
Nobody wants to be with him but the contrary works too

The Beauty of Red Riot’s Origin Story: Episode 72 Analysis (LONG POST AHEAD)
Well, here we are! I’ve been waiting ages to watch this episode, and now, it’s finally done, and I am more than happy with how it turned out. I’ve seen it in both Japanese and English, back to back, and both Toshiki Masuda and Justin Cook knocked their performances out of the park, and the emotion conveyed in their voices only made our boy’s origin story that much more emotional. But WHY is it so emotional? What makes such a seemingly ordinary backstory have such an impact on a viewer? (Especially viewers like, you know, US). Well, this is the purpose of this lil analysis here, so let us explore how Kirishima’s backstory contributes so nicely to his character. (Disclaimer: Manga screencaps are not my translation).
Let’s start from the beginning:
Tumblr media
This panel shows us what we already knew to begin with: Our boy Kirishima is good-natured, stands up for others, and has strong, manly convictions. Nothing special, really, and the revelation that he was like this long before he entered UA is a great foundation for his character. In that regard, he has a similar foundation to Deku, but what differs is their struggles. Now, we know Deku grew up without a quirk in a society where quirks have been thoroughly normalized, but what does Kirishima struggle with, if anything? Is that even possible, what with him being so outgoing and boisterous?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As it turns out: yes. It’s VERY possible. This is where we see that our Red Riot is not as infallible as we may have thought. Yes, Deku had a hard time growing up without a quirk, and while Kirishima was born with a quirk just like most others, he grew up being ashamed of it, which if you think about it is a lot worse in some ways. Quirks are hereditary, and for many people, including Kirishima, quirks are also an important part of one’s own identity. This can inspire feelings of depression and even envy towards people with “better” quirks, like Mina. In contrast with Kirishima’s more traditional view of heroism and chivalry, Mina has a flashy quirk and bubbly personality, which is really effective for diffusing the situation with the bullies. This is where Kirishima’s manliness fails him, and no, not because he got shown up by a girl (thank GOD for that). It’s because heroism in the “modern” age favors heroes who can provide entertainment. Someone who’d be right at home in, say, the idol industry (like Mina). According to his friends, Kirishima’s hardening quirk, which he sees as boring, would not fly in today’s society. Now, Kirishima doesn’t care so much about what his peers think of him, but he’s still ashamed of his quirk, so he trains to harden his body and spirit, both literally and figuratively:
Tumblr media
Also much like Deku, Kirishima has his own hero he looks up to: Crimson Riot. He serves as Kirishima’s main source of inspiration. It’s where he gets his hardline traditionalism from, and also how he copes with having a quirk he sees as “boring”. Again, this is where he and Deku differ. Deku looks up to All Might in a fanboyish sort of way, which inspired him to strive to be a hero as well. Kirishima, on the other hand, not only sees Crimson Riot as an inspiration to be heroic, but also because they have similar quirks. It’s only natural for a child who’s been conditioned be ashamed of something they can’t help. It’s something I can personally relate to as someone who struggled a lot with sexuality as a teenager, and something many others can surely relate to as well. This makes our boy an effective source of inspiration as well.
Tumblr media
However, no matter how hard he trains, both physically and mentally, Kirishima still can’t train himself to not feel fear. It’s only natural for ordinary people to feel fear. After all, fear was what kept humans alive back when they were just starting out. Still, this goes against all of Kirishima’s ideals of what being a hero means. Sure, he has no problem standing up to some regular school bullies, but unlike him, Mina didn’t hesitate to act when her friends were cornered by a 30-foot tall villain in the street. She’s a prime candidate for UA, so what chance does he have of getting in if he can’t stand up to a literal supervillain?
Tumblr media
So, he gives up on his dreams of getting into UA. He didn’t act when it mattered. That was it for him. Even worse, the incident where Deku saved Bakugou from the slime monster made headlines. It was good that Horikoshi showed how this affected Kirishima, who was totally uninvolved, because it makes you think of what exactly that implies. After that incident, Deku was miraculously given a powerful quirk by All Might. Maybe if Kirishima were the protagonist, he would have been so lucky, but that’s not the case (more on this later). Despite this, Crimson Riot blesses Kirishima in a more indirect sense:
Tumblr media
In his frustration, Kirishima throws a book against the wall, and coincidentally, this hologram-looking thing of Crimson Riot starts playing, and it’s exactly what he needs to hear. As he listens, Kirishima realizes that not even Crimson Riot is immune to fear, but he copes with it by telling himself that failing to save someone because you didn’t do anything is far worse than charging in and giving it your best shot. That way, he can live his life without regret, which is, from then on, what Kirishima strives to do.
Tumblr media
Finally, with a fresh motivation to get into his dream school, our boy pulls through (and gets 2nd place in the entrance exams!). To commemorate this, Kirishima dyes his hair and vows to leave his past behind him, and Red Riot as we know him today was born.
This should surprise absolutely nobody, but Kirishima’s is my favorite backstory in the whole series, and to conclude this lil essay, I’m going to explain why. As I said before, his backstory is something a lot of people can resonate with. Feeling shame and self-doubt is something many people go through, and it’s prevalent with people who have conditioned themselves to feel ashamed of something beyond their control. Coming to terms with my bisexuality was a struggle for me, so I can definitely relate indirectly.
This ties into the SYMpathy vs EMpathy argument. A lot of backstories in My Hero Academia, or even media in general, are tragic in a way that not everyone can relate to (not criticism, just observation). Let’s take Todoroki, for example: he was essentially quirk-bred by his father and was abused by him, being trained to the point of overexertion. On top of that, his mother gave him the scar over his left eye, and he has carried that trauma with him his whole life. Not everyone had such a toxic upbringing, but Todoroki sure did, and many people feel sorry for him. In other words, they sympathize. Kirishima, to contrast, had a much healthier upbringing, but has a lot of internalized self-esteem issues that everyone can relate to (or empathize with). While sympathy is the capacity to feel sorry for someone, empathy is the capacity to UNDERSTAND someone. Don’t get me wrong, tragedy is often a crucial element to a story’s narrative (if it’s done well), but it’s sometimes more cathartic for the viewer to see a character overcome more everyday struggles, especially if they can understand them on a fundamental level.
The last argument I will make goes back to what I was saying about Kirishima not being the protagonist, and I think if he WERE, his origin story would not be nearly as impactful. One might say that Kirishima embodies the more stereotypical “hot-blooded” shonen protagonist than Deku does, and I agree to some extent. However, it works better for him to be a supporting character. In most shonens (like Naruto), the protagonist’s backstory is established right away, and as such, the viewer always sees their character in the context of what they were like in the past (we get it STOP SHOWING US THE FUCKING SWING--) In Kirishima’s case, his backstory comes into play much later, and by that point, we are already so familiar with his Red Riot persona that the revelation that he wasn’t always so eager and optimistic hits that much harder, and seeing how it contrasts with Kirishima as we know him in the present feels more rewarding. Yes, we get to see bits and pieces of it early on, like when he feels inadequate after meeting Tetsutetsu and seeing that their quirks are nearly identical, but seeing those feelings fully presented in his backstory only serves to drive that home. In short, we see, at a glance, how far he’s come since then, instead of being forced to watch the whole process from start to finish, and it works really well.
Another common trend among shonen protagonists, as I said before, is their tendency to be blessed with miraculous new abilities to make them special (and that includes Deku). Obviously, that didn’t happen with Kirishima. He had no pro-hero mentor to guide him, nor an all-powerful booster quirk to bolster his hardening abilities. He got to where he did through sheer perseverance and hard work, with only his idol’s words to keep pushing him forward. While Deku also had to work hard to get to where he is, fortune was on his side, and the fact that Kirishima pulled himself up by his bootstraps (so to speak) is, to me, a lot more admirable.
And THAT, my friends, is the core of why Kirishima means so much to me as a character, and even if he doesn’t become the #1 hero in the story, he’s my personal #1 hero. So, on that note, thank you for all your support, and as always...Stay sturdy!
tl;dr I FUCKING LOVE KIRI SO MUCH YOU GUYS

High School DxD: Hellcat of the Underworld Training Camp
By Ichiei Ishibumi and Miyama-Zero. Released in Japan by Fujimi Fantasia Bunko. Released in North America by Yen On. Translated by Haydn Trowell.
(with apologies to Professor Peter Schickele)
Each time I read a new volume of High School DxD I am filled with this feeling of anticipation, a feeling of exultation, a feeling that… this new volume can’t possibly be as horny as the last one. But so far… Yeah, I know, shut up, Sean, you’re yelling at a series for 13-year-old teenage boys for talking about tits too much, and I get it. I try to recalibrate my standards for these books. Heck, the hot springs scene was even mildly amusing once those standards are recalibrated. But God Almighty, the way that Issei levels up or gets more powerful in this series makes your jaw drop. Leaving aside that the key to unlocking his new super move is to poke Rias’ nipples, there is everything about the climax of the book, where a dying Issei suddenly attains the zen-like ability to hear women’s breasts talking as separate personalities. I… what was the author on when he came up with this? I can’t even say “Oh, Japan” here. WHAT?!?!
Koneko’s on the cover, and actually gets some backstory here, though she gets less to do than I’d like. Our main cast travel to the underworld to train at Rias’ vast estate, meet her parents, and end up fighting a new Rating Game against Sona and Saji, the student council faction. Sona wants to make demon society less class-based, and is being ridiculed for the very idea, so naturally her team wants to win badly here. That said, our heroes are the protagonists. Can they be powerful enough to get past Sona’s cleverness? Maybe, but it’ll take Issei having to fight a dragon everyday, as well as Koneko having to confront her past… literally, in the form of her sister. And of course there’s Saji, who is to Sona what Issei is to Rias. He has a dream of being a teacher… and is very pissed that Issei has groped more boobs than he has.
If you leave out the tits, this is a very normal shonen battle manga. Issei is told that unlocking his Balance Breaker is the sort of thing that’s usually done in a crisis position with strong emotions behind it. We then get what is obviously meant to be just that, with Koneko’s sister attacking her and Koneko feeling tremendous self-hatred. If Issei were in Strike the Blood, this would be where he would talk about “:this is my fight!” and level up. But Issei is in High School DxD, so it’s not enough to be feeling righteous fury, he also has to be getting super horny. Hence the nipple poking. The fight between Issei and Saji is the best part of the book, pure shonen manliness and shouting about each other’s dreams… then Issei gains the ability to hear women’s breasts talking, and any drama and excitement drains out of the body.
As for why I’m still reading this, I’m not really sure. I want to actually see what happens next? Unfortunately, what happens next will likely involve more ridiculousness. But as long as it also has cool fights and some romance that isn’t pure sex, I’ll probably get the next one.

BIG REC MASTERLIST
Ok so... I’ve been reading fanfiction since I was still a fetus, and by that I mean I was 11 to 12 years old by the time. Also, I have read plenty of books too, and manga.
So I thought, why don’t make a recommendation?? Of all I’ve ever read and I can’t get out of my head?
So, for ANYONE out there, you could find something interesting here. If not, this will be purely for self indulgence then.
B O O K S
Pride and Prejudice. - Jane Austen.  What can I say about p&p? I was fluctuated with the 2005 movie adaptation since I was 10 years old. And while I don’t tent to read the books when I’ve already watched their movies, I simply had to. And BOM! favorite book has been stored.
The time traveler’s wife. -  Audrey Niffenegger. I bought this at a bookfair because I thought it was from a movie I had seen the promotionals for... figures out I was wrong, but this had me crying one summer afternoon. Since then I love time traveling-related books. And the movie? amazing.
Brida. - Paulo Coelho.  This made me the bookworm I am nowadays. I like to thank my abuela for that. This book is magic, and one of the reasons I’m such a hopeless romantic who believes in fate and soulmates. I can’t help it. Tho this is not the only good book from Paulo Coelho and not the only one I LOVE, this is by far my most favorite and it was my first from him.
Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe - Benjamin A. Saenz. Oh boy... this was the first book I read in english. It is special. It has a space in my heartsoul. I can’t remember how many times I have re-read it (and I don’t tend to do that) I find myself taking it from my bookshelf and searching for a specific scene so I can fall in love with it again. This is gold, it is a treasure, and when the day comes and a movie adaptation comes out I’m gonna die.
The book thief. - Markus Zuzak. This book was so precious that I had to stop mid-way through reading the e-book version to wait half a year a buy a physical copy. This book is meant to be read while you can touch it, toss it, let your tears flow over its pages... just to enjoy the experience. I came for this book after I was reading such a good written fanfiction and the author claimed that they’ve stolen the writing style from this book. I DO NOT REGRET IT. You won’t either.
Daughter of Smoke and bones triology. -  Laini Taylor. It has been 4 years and I haven’t read the last one yet. But I love this. I love the protagonist. Reincarnation is on the list of things I freaking love about fiction and this book has it. Also, it’s the kind of book that makes you want to wish you could live in their fictional world. Just amazing. And the author?? is a ray of sunshine?? I love her.
The lux saga. - Jennifer L. Armentrout. These books made me go insane and stay up to morning. Kinda cliché-ish if you look too much into it. But that doesn’t stop them from being amazing. Hot aliens at the order. Main protagonist is relatable and a badass... why not?
The mortal instruments. - Cassandra Clare.  EVERYONE knows TMI by now. But these books made me the 18 year old I am. While Shadowhunters is like a canon divergence to the books -and don’t get me wrong I LOVE THE SHOW-, but the books? they’re gold. All the shadowhunters verse is amazing, but tmi is the life changing. I waited for the last two books to come out so it was torturing, but you can go and read them and enjoy the ride because there’s still more to come!!
H O N O R I F I C   M E N T I O N S:
 The tunnel. - Ernesto Sabato.
Dead houses. - Miguel Otero Silva.
White like milk, red like blood. - Alessandro D’avenia.
Falcon’s Prey. - Penny Jordan.
Maya’s notebook. - Isabel Allende.
Of Love and Shadows. - Isabell Allende.
The house of spirits. - Isabell Allende.
Fan Art. - Sarah Tregay.
Like water for chocolate. - Laura Esquivel.
And I think that’s it for books? not so many since I just listed the ones that have left a mark on me.
M A N G A
Yaoi/Shonen-ai.
Jackass! - Sawatte Ii tte Dare ga Itta yo? - Scarlet Beriko. This manga makes you love legs. LEGS LEGS LEGS. Also, Scarlet Beriko’s art style is to be put into a museum and be looked at for all day long. Friends to lovers and that’s it. SHOUNEN AI if you want it to be.
Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki. - Scarlet Beriko. This is some good shit. GOOD ART. AMAZING BODIES. LOOK AT THAT SEME. HE IS SO CUTE?! Yakuzas. Did I mention the uke being a yakuza? well he is. One con of this manga? CW dubious-consent and rape at some point but with bl one kind of gets along with it (not that it is a good thing). Still a good manga. YAOI because yes.
Doushitemo Furetakunai. - Yoneda Kou. I cried. That’s it. IT HAS A LIVE-ACTION MOVIE??!! YES?! Cute, cute all over. SHOUNEN AI.
Udagawachou De Mattete Yo. - Hideyoshico. Enjoy how a boy loves wearing dresses and make-up because he slays with everything he puts on! and then succeeding at accepting himself. Also... IT HAS A LIVE-ACTION MOVIE TOO!??! YES! SHOUNEN AI.
Hana no mizu shiru, Hana no migoro ni, Hana no miyako de. - Takarai Rihito.  I fell in love with Takarai Rihito thanks to this. I seem to keep forgetting the exact order to read all three of them, but boy at one point you’ll cry if you figure that out. SHOUNEN AI.
Yuki No Shita No Qualia. - Kii Kanna.  I’m gonna be honest and say I don’t remember anything about this manga. The art style got me and that’s it. Maybe the story did it too and that’s why I have it on my fave list but... I must have read it too early in the morning and forgot everything ‘bout it. Thing is, if I binge-read-it it certainly is good. SHOUNEN AI for sure...(?)
Me o Tojite 3-Byou. - Aniya Yuiji.  You looking for: Good art style? Checked. Angst? Checked. Childhood friends to lovers? Checked. Then I got you some news!!! this is pure as the purest cinnamon roll (at least until you read the smutty doujinshi but that comes later) and If you’re feeling like the world sucks you should read this cup of happiness. SHOUNEN AI.
Yozora no Sumikko de. - Hayakawa Nojiko. This is beautiful. Hayakawa Nojiko’s art style is precious. And this artwork is amazing. The story is full of angst and makes you go YeSSsyyYeSSSss all over. Read it. READ IT. SHOUNEN AI.
Konbini-kun. - Junko. I miss Junko. At least her bl works. She’s by far one of my faves mangakas just because she draws such cute boys I can’t help but love all of them. This story in specific is just perfect. Bullying, the character being actually gay since the beginning, and him coming to terms with it. I just love it. YAOI If you know Junko you know it.
Sora to Hara. - Nakamura Asumiko. L O V E THIS MANGA OK? I’M WAITING FOR A MOVIE ADAPTATION JUST AS DOUKYUUSEI GOT ITS OWN. MY SONS DESERVE IT. This manga is so pure, so full of happiness, so fulfilling, you’ll feel over the moon in love with the characters. Also... SUPER HAPPY ENDING?? YESS! SHOUNEN AI.
Elektel Delusion. - Yonezou Nekota. If I don’t remember wrong this was one of the firsts bl mangas I ever read. And I love it. It has a place in my heart. Well deserved. I must say it is a classic? Fumi is the man we all deserve but don’t get to own. ever. YAOI.
XXX Allergy. -  Hinohara Meguru. A recently-added to my faves mangas. This is so cute. The seme is long-haired... that’s it. Cute history and they love each other. What else do you need? SHOUNEN AI.
Mou Ichido, Nando Demo. - Aniya Yuiji.  Memory loss. Angst. Smut. Aniya Yuiji. Another reason to live for. Just cry and enjoy the ride. ALSO, REVERSIBLE COUPLE!!! HELLO???!!1 YES!!!! GO JAPAN GO!! YAOI.
Lonely To Organdy. - Ogeretsu Tanaka. I just love angst, ok? HAVE SOME. GET A BITTERSWEET ENDING. ENJOY IT AND KEEP ON LIVING KNOWING THIS ENDED UP LIKE THIS, WHAT ELSE DID YOU EXPECT? Some ghosts, some dreams, two boys... yep. SHOUNEN AI.
Veranda Nite. - Ichikawa Kei. Back at it again with the ghosts? Yes. I love Ichikawa Kei for a reason yet she hasn’t gotten me at her will (completely) yet. Nevertheless, this is awesome. I don’t remember the ending but it is a one-shot. SHOUNEN AI.
Hana wa saku ka. - Hidaka Shoko. This is the definition of SLOW BURN. The very definition. Good art. Amazing plot. Great characters... the bl manga you needed and now you know. GO! READ! IT! It is so long you grow up with it but you won’t regret it. SHOUNEN AI (at least until they finally do the do but it is a the very end)
YATAMOMO. - Harada.  Harada scares me. But I had to give her a try (for a third time) and this is what I found. A deep plot, and good character development. Momo is the kind of ukes I love and want to protect. YAOI.
  H O N O R I F I C   M E N T I O N S: partially because they’re still ongoing.
Aitsu no Daihonmei. -  Tanaka Suzuki. SHOUNEN AI.

Honto Yajuu. - Yamamoto Kotetsuko. SHOUNEN AI.
Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai. - Yoneda Kou. YAOI.
I prefer shounen ai because it is cute all over, even though a good old school hard yaoi isn’t bad for the health any other day...
Shoujo/Shounen: some are on-going.
Ao haru ride. - Sakisaka Io. First shoujo manga I ever read. I loved it. The only shoujo manga I’ve ever finished too. Everyone knows it. Angst is at the order, a good female protagonist and Haru being a cute boy since ever. SHOUJO. COMPLETE.
Watashi ga motete dousunda! - Junko. I’m hating the protagonist by the moment but... reverse harem. She’s a fujoshi and by being lucky she’s now with one of the best guys to ever exist in fiction. God blessed her and I want that kind of spell over me too. Funny times at the order. SHOUJO. ON GOING.
Haikyuu!! - Furudate Haruichi.  WHO DOESN’T KNOW HAIKYUU?? GO WATCH ALL THREE SEASONS! WATCH THE OVAS! READ THE MANGA! ENJOY ADOPTING OVER 500+ SONS. You won’t hate anyone, it is impossible. SHOUNEN. ON GOING.
Kuroshitsuji. - Yana Toboso. This manga is fresh, its art style is amazing, the plot would make you go :O!! and right now is the best moment to apply for this ride because it sure is a rollercoaster. SHOUNEN. ON GOING.
Kiben Gakuha Yotsuya Senpai no Kaidan. - Furudate Haruichi. I don’t know why I read this, or when... but it is amazing. I love Furudate Haruichi’s art style and this was my way of getting more full of it besides from Haikyuu!! Mystery solving is always interesting. SHOUNEN. COMPLETE.
CODA. -  Hitoshi Ichimura. Yuri!!! on ice from 2010. But instead of ice skating it is ballet and more of an open ending than rings that prove you’re a canon couple. It’s cute, you ship the characters and it doesn’t harm anyone. Read it, more people should love it. SHONEN. GENDER BENDER. shOujo?? COMPLETE.
Tokyo Ghoul - Ishida Sui. I only know my first son TG. I finished my friendship with TG:RE. What will happen to my dearest Kaneki Ken who should be protected at all costs? who knows. The manga is amazing, the anime not so much. SHOUNEN. COMPLETE.
Strobe Edge. - Sakisaka Io. I hate the ending. I hate the main characters. I love angst so I fell in love with Endou, the third wheel the other love interest of the protagonist and THE REAL GOOD BOY HERE HE DESERVED BETTER. SHOUJO. COMPLETE.
Shingeki no Kyojin. - Hajime Isayama. You know the one. Titans. Blood, sweat and tears but without good dancing. The manga is good is2g go and read it and enjoy the cliffhangers and lots of questions. SHOUNEN. ON GOING.
Yep, I read more yaoi manga than other genres... I’m a fujoshi I know that.
Finally... fanfiction. I’ll classify them by fandoms... that are not so many.
F A N F I C T I O N: all complete.
Shingeki no Kyojin.
Ereri/riren.
Not such thing as fate. by Mysecretfanmoments.  Reincarnation AU. My thing. I felt so at peace while reading this one... I really miss reading ereri fanfiction on a daily basis.
Fanboy. by RinAinsworth Fanboy!Eren ama a youtuber!Levi si no mal recuerdo. Su vida es el sueño de todo el mundo cuando este se muda en frente de su casa. Es muy graciosa y recuerdo haber disfrutado un montón el leerla en su tiempo.
I used to read ereri/riren fanfiction like crazy back in the good old days. They were like my first otp or something. Of course all of that was on fanfiction.net and in spanish... I had to search there for this list and I find out most of them were never finished, ow my heart.
Hannibal.
Hannigram.
Tormentor, Mentor, Pleaser, Appeaser. by DarkFairyTail. Don’t remember that much but Hannibal fanfiction is always so good written it hurts. Just murder husbands being happy while husbanding and murdering.
The Shape Of Me Will Always Be You. by MissDisoriental. Post canon fix it are always the best. Same as with the one above, just them being them and slow burn like salt in the sea.
MARVEL.
Stucktony.
Don’t say it. by Bibliomaniac. SOULMATES AU. YESS. TONY CAN’T TALK??! So his soulmates don’t have his words?? holy CRAP YESS ANGST MUCH ANGST I LOVE ANGST.
Hide a heart of war. by RayShippouUchiha. People get flowers on their skin depending on things that have happened to them... language of flowers is heavy on this one. ANGST AGAIN, WHO ASKED FOR IT?
It was an accident. by HabuSake. The author of this has received so much crap I can’t believe it... HOWEVER, I intensely love this one. OMEGAVERSE, have I ever said I love it? well I do. Angst again yeeeaaah.
Starquill. this is so random sorry.
Tony Stark Fucks Off Into Space. by itsallavengers. I’m always in for people loving Tony and here Peter Quill shows some of it. Also, post CW? Yess.
Stony.
A Nuke to Your Chest. by vorkosigan. Wanna know what calm feels like? read this. It is so... I don’t know... GOOD?!?!? you will not regret it. I cry just from remembering it.
I thought I'd have more stony fnf on the fave list but I guess the one from above is enough as it is PERFECT.
Yuri!!! on ICE.
Victuri.
Fever. by MilkTeaMiku Ok the thing I said about loving omegaverse? well yeah. This is pure smut. The first YOI fanfiction I ever read. Also I love the author.
Desires. by AL_KILLER. THIS FANFICTION IS SO GOOD THAT I CRY. VICTOR IS SO BLIND I CAN’T HELP BUT LAUGH. TOO MUCH EMOTIONS AT ONCE. OMEGAVERSE 4 THE WIN.
An Examination of Stamina by Viktor Nikiforov. by Anonymous_Ostrich Pure smut, just that. Someone said bottom Victor? it has that too. You’re welcome. It is omegaverse too.
I say that if I look for fluff of them both I better watch the anime. Let’s enjoy the dark side of them on internet.
Haikyuu!!
Kagehina.
De cuervos y amores. by Cerezo de Luna. Same case as with Ereri/riren, I used to read a shit-ton of kagehina back in the good old days... nowadays? not so much. Still... I forgot to write this in spanish. Ajá, esta es MUY LINDA. Recuerdo esperarla con ansias a que actualizara, FLUFF FLUFF y varias parejas del Karasuno.
Bokuaka.
Come downstairs. by youaremarvelous THIS IS SO CALM AND PEACEFUL. THEY FALL IN LOVE LIKE YOU WOULD WANT TO (AT LEAST I DO) READ THIS, BOKUAKA IS LIFE DUDES.
Voltron Legendary Defender.
Klance.
How to train your galra series. by magisterpavus. SMUT. SO MUCH SMUT. BUT VERY GOOD SMUT!
Fake it til you make it. by nikkiRA. Fake relationship anyone?? i’m into it. This is amazing, you’ll never regret it.
Never saw you coming. by dimpleforyourthoughts. Mutual pinning. Angst. Lance being the goodest friend ever... yes, my jam.
Time out of mind. by aknightley. The boys?? wake up?? married?? in the future?? this is so cute it hurts??
Langst.
So here’s what you’re not going to do. by BreakTheDawn. Lance telling the group what he really thinks, misunderstandings, my sweet boy getting stressed... yes, this is a work of art.
Nobody said it was easy. by heroami. Unrequited love. Angst. Not a happy ending... you feeling like reading that? go ahead.
Lancelot. please I need more of this where Lotor isn’t a dickhead.
The sunflower you lost. by peachii. I like to think of this fanfiction as lancelot, though Klance is endgame. Altean!Lance at the order. Reincarnation AU(or something among the line)... did I mention angst? where there is some of it too.
And... that would be all for fanfictions I guess. I’m really picky with what I read.
Hope you liked this big list! I’ll keep it updated! bye :)!
