Today is my 10 year anniversary on T

Kind of feels like a big milestone even if nobody irl and only a few old friends who are now long distance will know

This day 10 years ago, everything in my life turned upside down but i never looked back and a decade later i've never been happier with my life and who i am

I remember going for my first shot at the local needle exchange when the registered nurse was on duty bc the gender clinic insisted a professional do it the first time and refused to give me any needles

When my parents found out i started hrt they disowned me and i ended up on the streets homeless, and though they came around eventually (after years of a lot of fighting and a brilliant family therapist) it was rough no lie. That 25 year trans life expectancy was the accepted truth at the time. But things did get better and i'm here at 28 thriving

A lot has happened in the last 10 years, i've lived in 5 u.s. states and 6 countries, gotten 2 (almost 3) degrees, and a 2nd degree black belt in karate

This is my one and only life, and i'm proud of what i've been through and what i've become

I dont usually post (or take) selfies but i want to mark this moment in time because 18 year old me could never have imagined i'd make it this far
