Personality

Design Breakdown

She has a very optimistic outlook and determined personality. She tries her best to get to know everyone, and her soft voice contradicts her upbeat personality. She absolutely loves magical girls to a stalkerish extent: she's willingly gone into witches labyrinths with hopes of meeting magical girls, and has a diary where she keeps all her information on the "magical girl secret world". She's very girly, and loves feminine things: dresses, long hair, and cuteness are all things she adores. Her favorite pastimes are watching tv, sketching, and hanging out with friends. Often times she can come off as pushy or intimidating (especially to girls she scouts to be magical girls) but she genuinely means no harm, and doesn't ever realise she's acting poorly. She takes great pride in being a magical girl, and her current goal is to thank the magical girl that saved her.

Trivia

I'm not sure if I fully like the design (mainly the waistcoat thing, and I should've given her gloves) but I'm happy I managed to actually draw her. This was a very self-indulgent design (not a sona though) and so I included ungodly amounts of ruffles and pastel pink!

Underneath her skirt is layers and layers of ruffles to the point her legs are not visible, and she has a double sleeve situation (also with ruffles underneath). The teacup & saucer hat is... rough, but I loved the concept and wanted to include it! Her rabbit ears are attached to a headband which has a ribbon on it. Her soul gem is located on her monocle chain; the alternate locations were the rabbit ear headband, one of the hairtie ribbons, and an anklet. I went with heterochromia because I could not decide whether I liked the pink or purple more (I also debated on mint, but I wanted to keep the colour palette analogous), I also struggled with very light purple vs very light pink for the hair; and went with very light pink (but I'm not sure how I feel about it). Those hair flicks near the top of her head aren't real rabbit ears, but are meant to resemble floppy rabbit ears. I wanted her overall design to invoke the feeling of "magical girl" strongly, and I hope I succeeded in that!

Her magic wand shots a magic beam(?) thing from the top (between the ears) and functions like a whip; the hand-guard is based off a rapier's, and the bottom has a sphere that looks like a rabbit tail. Her soul gem features a rabbit head on top, and a clock face (sorta) as the bottom symbol. ALSO! I promise her purple eye is the same colour as the soul gem, the glass shading from the monocle makes the eye look lighter!

Her original wish was "I wish to be a magical girl!" but Inkyuu (the resident incubator) told her to pick a different wish since she'd become a magical girl regardless

She was aware of magical girls before being approached by Inkyuu due to being saved from a witch by a magical girl; she has gained an obsession with magical girls as a result

She uses her power of granting wishes to scout potential magical girls for Inkyuu

Her white rabbit theming is because she leads girls down the rabbit hole of becoming magical girls (the day I stop using metaphors and symbolism for everything is the day I die)

For My Demonology-based Story Project, "Goetic Spawn", here's my own personal take on the Owl of Astronomy, Plants, and Gems, Stolas. 

In my version of Him, he is rather very Stern and Strict, often quite busy with his own Teachings of Magic for his own Special Things (such as Plants or either Astronomy). He can sometimes carry around a Monocle around either one of his Eyes in case for reading Books but can also help out Humans who summon him who need his help for what he is only known for. For the People that Summon Him that tend Die, he does take his own victims' Souls and feds them to his Plant Monsters (who he keeps just for Good Company for his own Students). While being Wise and Noble as he is, he hates being Insulted as he tends to punish those who say such negative things to him.

In my story, he plays out a Minor Role, a Good Friend to Ipos but Enemy to the Boy Trio (Duncan, Sid, and Elliott). After when the Three Boys stumble upon Hell, they accidentally meet up with one of Hell's Princes, Stolas, who does give Two of the Boys (Sid and Elliott) a chance to stay over at his own Place for awhile but plans on reaching back into the Upper World of Mortals. After failing to reach back into the Mortal World, Stolas finds out that his own Slaves have found Duncan out of his Plant Pod as the Boys manage to escape the Owl Prince but Stolas immediately caught them red-handed as he chased them down through his Halls when the Boys managed to steal his own Book, which teleports them back on Earth, leaving the Owl Demon behind.

Special: When Jack dies, he is not actually dead but he is instead plane shifted into the Nether or Hell. While there, Jack can travel into either cold or hot areas of these realms(any soulsand valley for the Nether and Cocytus for Hell are considered cold areas). Here, after spending a week he can return to the realm of the living but all his attributes change into the opposite of the area he is in(Hot to cold, cold to hot). All weakness, attacks, resistances, abilities, spells, items and also his subtype becomes of the opposite category. Jack can also decide to remain in an area of the element that he already is in order to keep his attributes. While there, he must perform a single task that an outsider requests him that must not take more than a week. If Jack does not complete the task, he must first complete the task in order to resurrect. He is then automatically returned to the world of the living. If Jack is slain while in the Nether/Hell, he dissipates and he is restored after a year, a month and seven days upon which he resurrects. Spells used to resurrect him must be performed in the exact spot where he perished the second time and perform a  caster level check DC22. If his soul is removed from his body via trap the soul, his body falls to the ground lifeless and when either his body or the gem containing his soul are destroyed before his soul return to his body, he goes in the Nether/Hell and must repeat the seven days process. While in there, he is immune to such effects. A miracle/wish spell requires no caster check.

Background: Jack Manifold is one of the many inhabitants of the land that somewhat looks like living running gag of walking content-relief. While for some he might appear to many as a walking joke he looks only for acceptance and good relationships(probably) even if he fails as an investigator. Jack was abused by Tommyinit too many times but somehow he always comes back to him, like a boomerang in both good and bad ways. For some reasons he both likes him and hates him at the same time wanting to perform all sorts of shenanigans on him, ultimately with the intent of killing him if his mood will ever allow it. He partnered with Niki when they attempted to use Tubbo’s nukes to “accidentally” kill Tommy to teach him a lesson failing by 30 seconds and making them actual secret partners in crime. In the end, all that Jack wanted was some attention and he sought to achieve this even by blowing up the Big Innit Hotel and framing Hanna for it. In the end, they also became partners in crime, another running gag. His determination goes a long way so much that he tried to become a guard at Pandora’s Box Prison so that he could get closer to Tommy. But his most impressive feat ever was him DEFYING death and hell itself as he somewhat self resurrected after losing his 3 canon lives by sheer determination and anger. Literally, too angry and/or determinate to die. Not only that, he also appear to have attained some sort of resilience to the corruption of the EGG. After his rebirth he also decided to kill Dream as well, because like Tommy, they are the reasons he lost everything. Despite his anger issues he has many other friends he loves to spend time with; Foolish, Tubbo, Antfrost, Ranboo and Wilbur are all like old time friends he meet from time to time and spend while not busy with his pub or New Manyfold Land. However Jack realized at one point that all he did was for Tommy and that somehow he was happy about it but he still not liked the fact as he felt that it went against his desires to kill him. He was at a standstill: kill him, or not kill him, be his friend or be his enemy. The person that somehow mostly detested also gave him reason to be and a reason to strive. As he was looking around his land a voice clung to his ear: “Friend or foe, you want both. What a though decision.” Jack tumbled down and almost died. “What the Fu**!? Tommy i swear to god this is the last joke of you life! I will…!” But there was no one as he looked around in disbelief. “You swear to me? I am flattered. But perhaps you want to hear this: I will grant you a wish. ANY WISH. If you find me that is. “ Said the voice. “Who FU…no…wait! Are you that green guy that flies around and mess around with people? The Exdee guy?” A little laugh was heard. “No, he is busy now. I am here tho. And the others have already accepted. Even that so-called frenemy of yours.” Jack realized that also Tommy could have this wish and used it against him, or worst. In his mind raced a single thought “THAT WISH MUST BE MINE.” He cleaned himself and fixed his shades. “Where do i sign?” A finger snap was heard. “If you are willing, you have already accepted.” The world changed and so he did, his conflicting thoughts pulled him apart and then reunited him in a single entity. “Oh this is interesting. Your determination is so strong on both sides it creates a dual-formed existence in the same spot. And i am all about surprises. I think i will like you A LOT”. And Jack finally was moved into a new realm. “Have fun. I will see you around.” Said the voice. Jack looked around as he took a big breath. “Be better. Be worse. Either way… it will be ME!” And we was off without a single remorse.

Forever Isn’t Never

(Finale! Of the Black Devil Saga. This was written almost out of tv movie-size so gave cut. Also with some of the bold lines there will be hidden-links of music to fit the temporarily mood of that moment in scene. Falling... fading... soundless. Then in suddenness pain that once prolonged was overly diminished. Though he swore and revisited the memory of the cold-noble once again, bearing stricken with that rapier directly on contact. The silver rapier of the noble was held by his white-gloved hands and given a wipe down from the puncture that was not taken in a lethal spot. This was all calculated, for you might ask, ‘why’. The Mol’usa carried by the Lord was no some a-typical weaponry it was refined for excellence. It held the distinct unique attribute or so claimed to alter ONE of the Five Senses upon first-strike but at random. This allowed an intelligent mind to strategically dissect a battle or morph it into their design depending on the handicap, though they had no control over which, sense was stripped from a foe. The cold noble held no qualm even here, there was a gamble taken to his rival that wouldn’t be shared. It seemed the pirate managed to survive this long among luck alone out of percentage rates, what more could it hurt to spin against the fate’s wheel again?

 He was certain that either way uselessness would be met from the pirate that’d this encounter would surely most likely be soloed anyway out of his abundance of egotistical pride.

By surmising the Captain wasn’t complaining in pain with cries of agony or mumbling it. All the answers were spoken of which of the senses were extracted temporarily. “Are you just going to lay there?” Palms of the pirate wiggled and clawed out at the crag soils the emptiness of the plane. Before he stood looking himself over everywhere, painless, nothing was felt. A lightness felt that caused him to spring upward in a feathery jump. The crude and icy Lord gave piercing hues towards the buffoon, “What you were hit just now was a superior esteemed weapon cased by the Elite of Ishgard. You are currently experiencing the effects to be blessed to be hit by me, while also cursed, as the fact remains you’re still inferior... Your sense of Touch has been lost, you are not invincible despite you may feel otherwise. Its an illusion. All you were faded and dampened this is no different than currently being heavily dosed and pumped with potent medicinal pills and herbs. -- Now, since I have you on your feet. Our advisories are still waging again another one another before they regain reality themselves, I advise you become useful, I require a sword. But.., seeing how you’re weaponless. It’s mighty fine that we’re connected to the Void and I brought an old familiar gift.” Pulling off his white-tuxedo jacket and wrapping it up he’d give it a toss a strapped on and hooked set of scimitars remained nestled for the ruffian to uncover with old roots. One of the many relics that caught them in this mess and warranted the attention of these same monstrosities. This one in particular was of the First collected in the Captain’s ventures long ago. Mhachi Gems remained in the hilts and allowed the absorption and siphoning of a Voidal’s own energy with each strike successful after three hits it could entirely drain a fiend in storage or be used to transfer the aether between a Voidal to another or saved in stock.

“Alrighte, matey. I think this’ll do well. Ye can be shown how its done! You just stand and look like a pretty princess, I got this!”  Spinning the old dual-wielded weapons in a twirl before scurrying off and giving a jolly set of laughter to hide bravery his true emotions. A heavy eye-roll induced between the noble and a small aneurysm between the brain was mixed in as his words were thrown to dust by the over-zealous rule breaker and none-caring reckless mongrel of a pirate. The voidal duo currently were slamming each-other back and forth and countering beam struggles with one another constantly matching while one of the older was trying to hold back from using the blunt of his power but becoming irritated how one mage managed to treat them like entire nuisances in their own landscape this was intolerable...unacceptable! It could see the look of acceptance emitting from the blood-gem etched into its brethren forehead. It gave plead to allow its older to digest and devour its younger to become the avenger required. Overpowering and pinning it’d take bite while wrapping its tentacles, wings, tails all around and feasting the nutrients. Empowering in a sinister that begun chaotically creating a vibrant and trip-twisted storm. It wouldn’t stop until there was nothing left to extract and being merged with an unbridled amount of aether to spare. Tremors shocked the realm and a ominous wind crept through the air of foreboding.

By the time Kuro arrived and saw the shift surrounding... “Why do I get myself into these situations, I thought they made Warriors for these? Damn ye...” Giving a look over towards his newly imbued scimitars.Though he couldn’t feel the effects of what was transpiring feeling even more courageous than before with the lack of touch in his sensory. This was a well-placed lesson to the sins of the men. Hearing the demon form in seething hatred, “....I’ll...Give You.. Realization.” A cosmic set of speed-settling in and rushing towards the Captain. He coiled and gripped tighter. Shiro shot out in a sprint, “MOVE YOU IDIOT!” The Keeper would twirl his rapier like a cane and form a set of obstacles and branches of quickly-crafted ice walls that were being shattered through. Kuro took his sprint he needed to somehow create a means to land a few hits and dampen. Rummaging through his satchel in automation in hasten popping pins of smoke grenades and anything and chunking them everywhere. It was doubtful they’d do much but then again his aether was so weak that the Voidsent have shown they were proficient at readying such a pathetic amount. This rage seemed to be favorable. As Shiro continued to build up defense and distractions constantly creating a course only riling up the hatred already being brimmed. Landing down it’d begin attempting to shatter a close dome around Shiro that was crafted using the previous set of water from the clones of Kuro previously to hold him off and catching an extra set of ice towards the fists. His beholding eyes of piercing blue boldly looked towards the demon in disgust even as his face begun to split apart in horror to four sets of eyes and becoming unrecognizable.

The small window opened and Kuro came as an opportunist throwing one of the scimitars and slicing off the tail and then using his Ghost-Step (Shukuchi) to catch it back using a boomerang effect. A stammering escaped before turning with one hand a big bundle of blast. Shiro used the ice previously to seal up the imbecile as a temporarily ward but reopening the wound from previously to soak up while still holding. The Voidal’s aether with that one hit already felt half as potent before. Coming now out of its senseless and mindless rage to know what was acquired in those foul hand’s of the scoundrel. The stolen relics! Which redirected his attentions towards the pirate. Taking flight and starting to bombard a endless volley as the Captain had no way to get out of this one he’d throw back the relics and hook them with his feline tail and brace himself for impact. Shiro howled back in his own frustration to break his only set of defense into a scatter-gun of shards that were sent back to hit against some of the volley and also catch the Voidal in his wings. Though they were unintentionally doing it, they were working together! And... That was saying something for even in previous carnations the Fates had depicted a carved tablet in unspoken tales of a White Wolf and the Black Lion constantly to be waged historically. Though THE fight of preservation! Atonement - Survival! It was all ON THE LINE. The souls of indifference UNITED. Bound to cause... As if the Sun and the Moon intersect and created an Eclipse and within that moment nothing else mattered. As if the the elements between Light and Darkness bound to gather to form a higher form of creation bigger than itself of Life’s wonders. Here...

Even in the grim unknown, the, secondary name for ‘end’. The roots of change blossomed and HOPE were melding together into one. Broke out to impale despair, depravity, demise, devour, destruction. Terror would be KNOWN to fear against its own trade product! Plummeting down from altitude towards a spiraling crash. Grunts and battle-cries echoed throughout, Kuro ran swiftly with those light-steps while Shiro created an ice-skating surface to quicken as he’d once again get a direct strike between the back side of the Demon which spun around hissing another hefty amount of aether was extracted. Shiro’s piercing stare never-leaving towards the same disgusting creature unknowingly slowing lowly atoms around the atmosphere towards his target when looked back at. The Demon saw before them while being backed up in the corner holding and licking its wound in a step back. As if it could see the glimpses of their spirits manifest. Howling and Roaring for the meal, -- It.

A lasting dash with all his might and energy Kuro up-roared before charging, “FUCK YER TROUBLE, I DON’T WANT ANY! I GOT ENOUGH CHAOS. HAVE A TASTE!!!” A weakened catch to the pirate’s wrist was caught preventing him from being pierced another punch that was known as a nasty upper-hook came barging forward. But it was his tail that was still holding to the other special scimitar! He’d launch it up and re-grip the fiends clutch with all his virile exposed as muscles tensed and bulged, Shiro would freeze them together for unity. The throwing of the scimitar launched forward. Before Shiro would create another ice-layer wall above to ricochet forward into the direct skull of the demon it started sucking up all his aether into the weapon like an aetherfeeder.

While tormented pain was shooting throughout the tormentor the inquisitive mind of the fellow ex-Mhachi and student’s wisdom knew of the regeneration of this particular Voidsent on the hierarchy depriving it of its energy wouldn’t make it cease... No, to beat this threat. Even Captain knew who studied alongside those who crafted the only way to end them was two methods was either Banishment... Or complete obliteration! Slowly in elegant struts he’d pick up the old broken hilt of the scimitars used by Kuro that was useless to most and draw behind the Voidsent and then mold in shape and creation his purest and drawn ice throughout the cellular level of the vile organism that internally and externally started surrounding he’d manipulatively break the old weaker ice with a digit-snap allowing Kuro to stammer back until all that was left was a sculpted figurine statue encased in petrify. The worst thing was the four-eyed stare of being still responsive and alert this high-level threat knew what was happening when imprisoned. But nothing could be mustered or managed out especially with all the aether being drawn it kept funneling into the Relic Scimitar like a sponge! The Captain knew what this was this was where he shined, crackling back his knuckles, methodically. “Seems I’m out of retirement! A shattering punch just for you ordered up! This comes from humanity! We don’t have ANY time for yer shite we got enough flaws! Ye aren’t needed to be anyone’s REMINDER!” His forearm runic designs glowing drawing out in a emotional set of anger before clashing before against the ice and breaking with immensity into crumbles shattering and splintering the pieces all over, what was formed. Was sent out of existence, no return, no thought, was left deserving of the devil. Giving one last victory call-out before giving two middle fingers by the crude Captain before he’d slumming fade to injuries and pass out. The noble shook his head to the bravado showing. “Imbecile...” Once his rival was collapsed there was a notion to leave him in the space forever but an amused smirk passed him a little entertained. “Let us return, you fared well...”  He namely was departing this site for his own personal agenda’s least that’s what often a noble of his stature would think. But somewhere... Beyond even his mental understanding. A hint of respect was formed. Perhaps he found someone worthy to constantly battle, maybe he could even finally be surpassed and know defeat? Only the  Noble VS Pirate Grand Goldbrand Budokai! Upcoming held the lines of a future where these two combatants and rivals would WAGE to prove who was truly superior, which ways were correct. The Current Cast: A Summary Post(HEH)

THE PARTY Susie More or less the current Dorothy. She's not exactly a fan of her current life in the underground, and, is looking to change it. Thanks to her Deltarune adventure, she now has some degree of meta powers, although, she tries not to overdo it, mostly just using them when it would come in handy, or to bring others from the Deltarune worlds back. Also, she has a swordaxe, possibly thanks to having a human SOUL in her. Her and Chara don't get along very well initially, possibly because Susie's more of a pacifist this time around.

Chara The beginning Toto. Since her human SOUL was ripped out(She had grown a new one before Roz), once they arrived in Roz, she became a dog monster, specifically a yellow labrador. She is not amused, to say the least. She probably would have killed Tei(The Wicked Witch of the East), if not for Susie being there to warn her. A couple of the reasons Susie and Chara don't like each other, but not limited to just those two reasons, is that, Chara essentially took away Kris, and brought back the Underground, and, may or may not be Susie's Metamom. Oh, and, did I mention she kept that birdcage with Kris' SOUL in her inv?

Tobes A dog from Lolli town some might consider annoying, Susie pretty much adopts him to be her new Toto, after Chara leaves her the first time. Even after they get her back, and get Post as a party member, she still keeps him around, up until the point that she sends Chara through a wormhole, and, then sends him flying through it with a metamade glider. He's basically the superdog, and, comes back slightly later to help with the Poppies

Ralsei Our cute friendly prince/princess from the Dark World, Susie summons them, both because they need a new Toto, and, well- Because she missed Ral. Ral's definitely as friendly, naive, and adorkable as they were before. Although, being in another metaworld has caused Susie and Kris to have more questions about them.

Kris LET THIS CAGED CANARY OUT, LET THIS CAGED CANARY OUT, LET THIS CAG- Oh, thanks. Kris is the original protagonist of the Deltarune world, and, Chara's still been keeping his SOUL in a birdcage. When Asgea temporarily takes Chara's SOUL, Susie puts Kris' in her to replace it, and, the two of them gain a telepathic connection, especially with Kris' lack of a body. He's just as much the same troll and know-it-all you'd expect, guys.

Post Lessee, this tall Scarecrow aesthetic skellie enjoys naps against fences, selling strawdogs, puzzles, singing, puns(to some extent) and, also has a thing for analyzing others, and, using his straw magic against his enemies, mostly binding them. He's a private in the Rozian Force fighting against the Eastern Roz forces. After he joins the party, just imagine how enthused he is about having to confront his captain...

Cap'n Udona The Cyborg Tinfish Leader of the Roz Army that's currently fighting against the Eastern Witch's forces, the party comes across her upon reaching the forest, where she hides in the trees, and throws spears at them. It takes some convincing from Post to talk her down, and make her join the party. She is an experienced soldier and leader, a former member of the royal guard, before Roz even had an army. She's initially not a fan of Susie, and, even quotes her one line from DR, but replaces 'Quiet People' with 'pacifists'. It's only after the party helps her outpost survive an attack from Eastern Roz forces that they start bonding with each other. Also, she's more or less the team mom.

Asgea Starting out this tale as Commander of the Eastern Outpost that's in the way between the party and Central Roz, this, hooded, horned figure, with a long blonde mane of hair flowing out of their, seem mysterious to the party at first, though, for the two most recent members of the party, that might just be because of time. Though, their voice is definitely familiar, and, they definitely know who it is once their face is revealed. They take Chara's SOUL(Chara did a 'Trust me' thing with Susie, not realizing how fast the figure was), and, when battle starts, they break the DR-Style SPARE option, but, as Susie(Or Kris using Susie's body) talks to them, and finds out they've joined the side of their former wife, Tei(East Witch), and are trying to keep Roz out from becoming too affected, Chara and Post repair the SPARE option with help of Post's straw, and, the horned figure joins the party, and Chara finally gets her SOUL back, and becomes human again

Met-Tok The Copper, so-called 'one bot Roz army', Met jumps down from the party, still in his Copper Armored form, but, then, he breaks out of that shell, and shows off his more lithe and tall 'agility mode', complete with bowler hat. Even as an army currently being held back from the combat, he can still be quite a bit of a showoff. He's a nephew of Evoldo, the previous king of Roz's northwestern neighbor, beyond the desert, the Kingdom of Ev. He joins the party later on, after they leave Western Roz for Ev via airship(Or, well, to be technically accurate, while they're about to leave).

THE ROZIAN AUTHORITY ROZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL/Rozlie On the surface, they seem to be a giant green goat head, projected onto a screen, that embues power, authority, and respect. ...Buttttt, if you just look behind the curtain(Darn you, Ralsei...), you'll find that she's an adorable, young-looking goat woman in a green magician type hat, whose pretty skilled with Rozian magic and science(Including on their magical gems), and, is also pretty friendly, and, keeps adorable Tem guards around. Also, incase you couldn't guess, she's the daughter of Asgea and Tei.

Ali Assistant to Rozlie, this monocled dino is quite adept at science, her main field being Robotics. She's the one who built Met's current body, and, is also the one who helped turn Udona into a Tinfishborg in the current timeline. Speaking of which, the two of them are currently girlfriends, despite how little they get to see each other these days...

Lei, Good Witch of the North A purple goat woman, The Guardian of North Roz, and one of the three aunts of Rozlie, Lei is a fairly capable magic user. While in the past she helped with diplomacy when it came to countries past the great desert, now she helps Udona's forces against Tei's Eastern Rozian minions. Although, after the battle at the outpost, she decides to have them retreat back to Central Roz for the time being. She later helps against the Poppies

Tor, Good Witch of the South A white goat woman, The Guardian of North Roz, another one of Rozlie's three aunts, and, the first of the sisters to actually become guardian of one of Roz's non-central counties. Her and her county's aesthetic generally tend to be white, silver, and gold, somewhat pristine seeming. Also, she seems somewhat aware, given how annoyed she gets when her theme, 'Popular' starts playing... She, along with Lei, help out against the Poppies

WICKED WITCHES AND CO

The Poppies Creations of the Wicked Witch of the West, Lor, The Poppies are basically a hive mind of flowers with faces. At somepoint during the Party's return, they find the Capital City of Emerald City surrounded by a small sea of red, a 'sea' that happens to be a whole bunch of Poppies. They cause the soldiers besides the party to fall asleep, and, then, some of their petals come up, and, form a giant hyperdeath goat head. At first, they might have the upperhand, but, then Chara and Tobes come back(Because Susie forgot to close the portal), and, make short work of most of them...But, thanks to some trickiness from the remaining Poppies in that area, they assimilate into Chara, becoming Poppy!Chara. They're about to deal with the party, but, then Tor and Lei show up, and, they're forced to beat a hasty retreat to West Roz

Tuffet The Tarantula arachnid bandit queen, with many a monster daughter, both spider and tarantula, and, former Rozian boxing queen, as well Lor's girlfriend and lieutenant/general. This muscular Arachnid is pretty tough, but, I won't delve into too much detail on her yet. She does get annoyed by how much her daughters love Post's strawdogs, though.

Tei, The 'Wicked' Witch of the East A Pink Goat woman, mother of Rozlie, former mate of Asgea, she has odd memories about repeatedly being crushed underneath something...But, thankfully, she survived this time. The current ruler of Eastern Roz, Tei is experienced with her fire and snail magic. And, even though one would think someone wouldn't go to war with their own daughter, her sister, Lor, has convinced her that Rozlie just doesn't know any better, and, that they would be better rulers of the entire nation.

Lor, The Wicked Witch of the West A Green Goat Woman, one of Rozlie's three aunts, and, the well known and feared Wicked Witch of the West, Lor actually started as the assistant to the former wizard of Roz, ☝♋︎⬧︎⧫︎□︎☪, but, at some point in time, something happened to him, and, after some unclear events, she became the new Witch of the West, and, convinced Tei to help her start a war against the Rest of Roz. She's pretty good with magic. Though, she has more help than most people would guess.

Ruggie, the Nome King The Nomes. Are they new to the continent? Have they been there since ancient times? Well...Both yes and no, thanks to Ruggie, the Nome King, a son of the former wizard of Roz, ☝♋︎⬧︎⧫︎□︎☪, he was changed to his currently rocky state, thanks to an old experiment gone wrong. It is thanks to him that things are a bit off in the current continuum. He is a very strong ally for Lor, leading the army of very disturbing skeletons, the Nomes, as well as their Nome dragons...

And if one of the beautiful sapphics of Le Monocle is seen wearing a stunning gem? Well, darling, they can do such wonders with paste nowadays. 

ABOUT:

Fluer’s a home grown Parisian. Her life started with tragedy – her mother’s death in child birth – but, while she sensed the grief her father carried, his love and enthusiasm for the child that represented both his wife’s last gift to him and his only remaining way to honour her memory was stronger, and she had a genuinely happy childhood. She grew up secure in the knowledge that her dada, her grandparents, her teachers, and really, everyone she met, loved her. She was a bright, vivacious, energetic, perennially sunny child. Her father’s income as a tailor kept them comfortable and Fleur loved to help him in the shop and as she grew older run deliveries on her bike, though her father insisted that she attend school. 

When Fleur was eight, her father was called to war. At first, Fleur was only upset that she couldn’t go with him on such a grand adventure. She was proud of him, in his dashing uniform, and she looked forward to when he would come marching home. In the interim, staying with her very aged, very religious grandmother was dull but tolerable.  

Her father went missing in action two years into the war, two years later peace came and so did the fateful little envelope, though by then she had already known that he wasn’t coming home – that he was lost to her somewhere, churned into the charnel fields of Europe – even if her grandmother continued to exhort her to pray for him, as if that could save him. Fleur mouthed the words, as her father had taught her to on the holidays that absolutely required them to attend mass; but the combination of his wife’s death, his wide-ranging readings and his friends in the burgeoning communist party, had made her father an atheist and he had raised her to actively question religion, and she certainly found no comfort in the recitations. 

Very shortly after the official notice of her father’s death came, Fleur’s grandmother fell and broke her hip. She was laid up in bed and there was hushed murmuring as doctors and priests came and went and then she was dead. And then the worst shock of all. Her grandmother had bought prayers for herself and her son’s immortal souls with the complete endowment of the entire estate. Fleur was left with nothing but admittance to the good Catholic boarding school her Grandmother had also purchased, all without a word to Fleur or a thought to what Fleur wanted.  

Fleur did not thrive in the severe, punitive and controlling atmosphere. She rebelled, she fought, she grieved her father in a million angry ways. She had been too happy a childhood to resign herself to this fate, to accept the petty injustices and abuses of staff who saw the children under their care as the already damned, the spawn of sin. Ultimately, she quite literally ran away with the circus. Her deft fingers and tailoring knowledge convinced the circus folk that she was useful enough to feed.  

While working with the circus Fleur fell hard and fast for an older girl, the beautiful contortionist. Fleur stole her first purse half by accident, and gave the diamond ring in it to the object of her affection, giddy with the thrill of a risk well rewarded. Soon Fleur was spending every spare moment putting her deft fingers to work learning the trade of the cutpurse. She grew hooked on the excitement and emboldened by her love for the contortionist. 

The other girl had also run to the circus in an attempt to escape her past – an abusive pimp and an impossibly heavy debt to pay to the Milieu for her freedom. The lovebirds saved up every penny Fleur stole and planned to run away together, somewhere so far away – America! – that even the Milieu wouldn’t look for them. Fleur booked them a passage on a boat to the great port in Le Havre. But on the night they were to have left together, it wasn’t the contortionist who met her at the dock as planned. It was the pimp and several of his Milieu boys. Fleur never did find out exactly how they knew the where and how and why of it though the later the fact that the contortionist had already fled with all their savings and left only a note saying “I’m sorry” gave her some clue. She knew they would have killed her for the attempt to steal their property – if a certain river Captain hadn’t intervened. Conor Lynch cut all three of them down as they threatened her.  

So now Fleur is older and wiser and burdened with a life debt. And now, she steals for herself. Oh, she makes extravagant gifts to any number of handsome and beautiful women but only on her own whim. And she does the heart-breaking, and if anyone asks, she’s never had her own heart broken. She doesn’t save and she doesn’t make plans further than what she’s eating today and who she’s taking dancing tonight. Maybe she’s not quite as jaded and cynical and world weary as she fancies herself, but you’d have a hard time finding someone to argue that point. She’s living c’est la belle vie.
