Okay so fucking first of all sm are known for their fucking vocals???? That is their THING in kpop. From SNSD to Aespa. (I don’t follow bgs so I can’t speak on the bgs from there I’m sorry <3). I think not liking (some) SM groups bc of their production-style is valid, but they are/have good singers. SECOND of all, you do not have to be a singer to know when someone is a good singer/like someone’s style? It is not hard to listen to Adele vs Snopp singing and know there’s a difference. Some kpop artists/idols/debutees shouldn’t sing or at least debut singing!!! Like. In terms of svt, Vernon focused on rap and didn’t sing and only after nearly a decade of performing sings in songs, probably after training vocally more. Some idols can’t sing and that’s not? A bad thing? Like you have dancing and rapping in kpop too? It’s not an exclusive market. agree on everything! performing well is hard work and takes a lot of practice & to just blanket say that everyone is a good singer or it’s “just the style” discounts all the effort that the top people in the industry put in
