So the post I accidentally deleted was a Centaurworld au of Identity Crisis and I am so sad bc I actually liked it so much 😭

Lemme try and rewrite it (and I made a copy in my phone notes this time because this is NOT happening again)

Danny's human half gets together with and marries the person/people of his dreams while his ghost half is left watching on the sidelines. Alternatively, he just has the life he's always wanted, no romance involved.

His ghost half is jealous AND because he's only really half of a whole being/something different than a regular ghost, he's not really able to live a full ghost life even if he wanted to.

Danny's ghost half does his best to figure out how to fuse with his human half again, but all his attempts have done nothing except change him into something unrecognizable to how he first appeared when he separated with his human half.

Danny's ghost half tries a few times to plead to his human half to fuse with him, but his human half absolutely does not want that- he finally has the life he's always wanted, he can't give that up now!

Danny's human half is desperate to avoid fusing with his ghost half again, so he tells his family and anyone else in town who'd listen that Phantom was the reason he was always banged up, jumpy, barely getting any sleep at night, and a whole host of other things that are *technically* true to get them to hate Phantom and do whatever they can to get rid of him.

He calls Phantom a monster and spews all sorts of stuff that is clearly just repackaged self-hate. Probably says something along the lines of "Phantom's made me consider killing myself more than once" which pushes a lot of people to the "let's fucking destroy Phantom" side.

Danny's ghost half- after being essentially ostracized and watching someone else marry/live a good life with the people he loves while he watches from the sidelines- makes him more sympathetic to Vlad's struggles (to a degree anyway) and they end up joining forces to beat up human Danny and force him to fuse with Danny's ghost half/generally make him suffer. Vlad's ghostly allies/employees and some of Danny's ghost friends probably help too.

It'll end up becoming this whole thing- a war between humans and ghosts- all because of one person / two half-people.

Not super sure how it'd end, considering I don't wanna have any of Danny's loved ones kill him like Woman killing the Nowhere King, but nearly everyone involved would certainly be some flavour of pissed at him. Maybe Clockwork has some type of punishment or dangerous time errands for Danny to do to make up for his mistakes? I'll have to think on that.

Also, I think my og post had it like, Danny's human half had been living this perfect life for several years and he was well into being an adult, but tbh this could happen to him as a teenager too.

But yeah anyway the Nowhere King's story just fucking gripped me by the throat like "fuck your exam in an hour and a half, time to think about Centaurworld au" so here we are
