embarrassing myself on the internet seems to have singlehandedly cured my depression SO now BEHIND THE CUT i’m gonna talk about everything i remember about Old, Pre-Maci&Co OCs from my childhood..... like, ages 6 to 9/10ish: 

my first ever OC like i said was my superhero alter ego called the Reading Ranger, who wore a fuckin hideous blotchy purple and green outfit (my fave colors tho.....) and like i said she was on like a superhero team w Looney Tunes and like, dr seuss characters, idk - she also had a pet tiny dog named Mussel based off a tiny stuffed animal that i had lmao

the Reading Ranger and co. frequently faced off against a team of opposing villains but their arch nemesis was a giant talking anaconda called The Invisible Snake, who obviously had the power to turn himself invisible - except he was really bad at it and would always like, fuck it up by not doing it at all, or only turning parts of himself invisible

another villain was literally just. a talking cobra. i think he was just fuckin called The Cobra. he was more Devious and Competent than the invisible snake so he kinda ran the show but he had a grown up d..aughter?? who was also another cobra???? who was Secretly On The Hero’s Side and would help Secretly foil his plans. i do NOT remember what her name was, my head is telling me it was Ellen but my heart is telling me it was Eileen

a spider queen woman named Spiderella, named and copied completely off of a Halloween costume i wore at some point 

i cannot for the life of me remember if the grinch was on the villain team or the hero team but he was SOMEWHERE 

i also had imaginary OC children who like... i would draw out their baby pictures and fuckin everything?? it was two girls, one of them was like a toddler and the other was older. i dont remember what the younger one’s name was, just that she had brown hair, but the older one had red hair and her name was Iris 

i used to do this weird thing where i would pretend i was a babysitter and make like.... family info sheets for all my “clients” so i had pages and pages of drawings of random people with huge complicated descriptions of their parents occupations, the kids’ allergies, pets, fuckin, eVERYTHING and etc on the back. i dont remember any of them bc i was goin for Quantity not Quality

then eventually i got bored with that specifically and started doing the same thing but making alien families?? and then i organized a bunch of the alien kids i babysat for into a sports team, except they were from other planets so they wouldnt play earth games, and i invented a sport for them. i dont fuckin remember anything about it, in fact i have no memory of actually DOING this but like last year i found all that old art in a box so i dEFINITELY FUCKIN DID IT

and yes yes all that stuff with the Reapers and Dark Island but i talked about that in those linked posts up there already

after the reading ranger was retired, i made another, even lazier, self insert “oc” who was just. named April! who happened to look exactly like me! she was part of a new superhero team called the Fantabulous Four or the Fantabulous Five i dont remember, and that team was also made up of looney tunes

they had a pet uh..... it was like a little eyeball walkin on “octopus legs” (really like, eye nerves) his name was Igor

since i’ve always been the exact same fuckin person, the Fantabulous Four/Five’s main villain was disney hades, but like, he was too lazy to actually fight them so instead the story was that he had hired this girl to do all that stuff for him

her name was Lydia (or maybe Lynnia?? but i think it was Lydia) and she was basically literally like. the proto-Maci. except that she was a shapeshifter (and also she didnt look anything like Maci does.) she had like, black hair and blue eyes, and she always wore black and white striped shirts and jeans. she was... really cynical and Cool™ and she just bantered a lot with anyone she came into contact with

some of the Fantabulous Four/Five’s adventures included going to Bikini Bottom to help spongebob w some issues, and also battling in the underworld because again i’ve always been the same person
