#also fun note: while prior to HoO the majority of campers were summer-only

actually, speaking of Laurel - i have a lot of thoughts about how that winter in TTC was the emptiest we’ve ever seen CHB. Minus Clarisse and her questing group, there were exactly 13 campers and we have enough information to list them:
Percy and Thalia
Charles Beckendorf & two of his siblings (unnamed)
Silena Beauregard & two of her siblings (unnamed)
Three Ares kids (unnamed & minus Clarisse)
The Stoll Brothers and Nico in Hermes cabin.
(Two of the unnamed campers in either Cabins 5, 9, or 10 are named Laurel and Jason, but we don’t know which ones)
And then also the 13 Hunters of Artemis. And later Clarisse, her quest group, Chris, and Annabeth, when they all get back after their respective quests. But for the majority of that winter - No Demeter kids, no Athena kids (cause Annabeth is busy holding up the sky), no Apollo kids, not even Castor and Pollux - which in itself implies that actually that none of those cabins had year-round campers at the time (even Annabeth had been going to school then).
This also implies that besides the campers we know have already been introduced (Katie Gardner, Lee Fletcher, Michael Yew, etc), if a known currently alive camper can not fit into the blanks of this list, then they joined after TTC (especially if they’re a year-round camper, unless they switched to being year-round). Heck, we even know all the current Hephaestus kids by name - so unless some other Hephaestus kids died in the war(s) and these were them, the most likely two current Hephaestus kids that could have been present at this time were Nyssa and/or Jake (presuming that because they’re counselors that they’re the senior kids in their cabin - if this is not the case then it could also be Shane and Christopher. And of course Laurel and Jason are options, but if either of them were in Cabin 9 they absolutely died during the war).
We know that by TLO that CHB’s numbers had dwindled to about half of what they usually were (leaving ~50-60 total campers at the start of the Battle for Manhattan). In TTC, this is us really seeing how small CHB is during the war. Most of those campers defected to the Titan Army. We also know CHB's suffered a loss of about 20% during the actual Battle for Manhattan (and a good portion of that was basically the Entire Apollo Cabin, since all but 3 of them died and they were formerly one of the largest cabins) but we don’t know how many campers fighting on the Titan Army’s side died as well. We do know though that CHB’s size approximately tripled after the war, with a height of about ~150 campers in the summer and closer to 100 in the off-seasons - and that many of those new campers were either ex-Titan Army members returning or joining camp for the first time or completely new campers who had just been claimed.
And finally, my favorite fact about the statistics of that one winter at CHB - this means that list? Those 12 campers and 13 Hunters are the only ones to have ever known what Nico was like before he ran away. Nobody else knows he used to be different, or even that he had previously been a camper before re-joining officially in BoO. Nobody at all.
