Ah, oops, hit the 3DS browser option but I meant I used the regular DS’s flipnote hatena app. Introduced me to a whole lot of folks with a lot of talent drawing essentially fanfiction set to pop songs I’d never heard before then. Some of it was written and some of it was straight-up animated, which takes so much effort it’s amazing.

#also fun fact I was introduced to the song ‘behind these hazel eyes’ via a princess peach animation #and I have issues with auditory processing and had no reason to believe hazel would be a word used there #so I fully believed the chorus was ‘had me live (believe?) a lie’ for literal years #until I was scrolling through kelly clarkson’s youtube #and randomly clicked on the song thinking I’d never heard it before #edit: just looked up the flipnote archive under ‘behind these hazel eyes’#turns out I was wrong #it was not a princess peach animation #it was a sonic the hedgehog character I thought was princess peach because I was 7
