so!! Opal and Saffron!! They're coworkers in the same building- just work different jobs!! They work in the (name pending) main Requiem Union building that tends to mostly contain Poprocks members coming in and out!! (The building is mostly for business purposes, the first few levels being open for public use for many various things like music practice rooms, special classes someone could take, business, etc etc etc, and then the upper ones are for Union only and the TOP few for Poprocks specifically- the head of Union actually lives on the very top floor! It's. a big building.)

ANYWAYS CONTEXT ASIDE- Saffron has been working there for a Pretty Long Time enough to essentially run the ground floor's cafe GNHKGH it's very busy there and they run a tight ship usually. Strive for perfection ! And kind of a workaholic. Opal on the other hand is one of the receptionists! specifically the one near the entrance who directs u where u need to go or who to talk to about xyz. So also ... on the ground floor. The two run into each other frequently. </3 Opal is actually a p new hire since the last person in his position retired, honestly he just got rly lucky with it considering he RLY needed a job and that one just so happened to open up GKNHKGHG funny how things work out ! He had been wanting to work in the Union building for awhile now bc its "way better" than anything else. Also his last job was kind of ... not ... great ... so ... anyways!

Opal kind of has an obsession with making himself "known" and in his mind moving to work in the Union puts him on the path to do so. He wants to world to know his name and he's (slowly. stupidly.) figuring out how to get there. After all he WORKS in the SAME BUILDING the Union members show up! He's SO AWESOME AND GREAT! The Union head HAS EVEN LOOKED AT HIM ONCE! You wish you were him.

As u can tell ? Dude's got a huge ass ego and can't see around it. Does a good job he's just very annoying to deal with and Very Very Dramatic /lh Probably a theater kid. Also his name he chose (transgender babey) is actually Opulence (dramatic little shit) but he goes by Opal usually bc it was adopted after his childhood friend deemed him such after he first introduced himself as Opulence JGHGH keeping up with the musical performance theme of this universe, Opal likes to dance! Just...not in front of people...but just you wait he will still make it huge! He's great! No he will not prove it. Just trust him. He knows what he's talking about.

Saffron!! is from a large family, his mother and 5 other siblings KNGHGH (So...6 total including themselves.) Saffron is the oldest and takes care of the rest of them bc their mother is pretty sick and can't rly work- the second oldest can't hold down a job very well and mooches ... a lot ... despite being close in age to Saffron. Third oldest is trying to go to college! (First in the family to do so! Constantly stressed. Help) Then the last 3 are still in school GKNHGH 4th and 5th youngest are twins and in high school, while the YOUNGEST is in elementary </3 around 12 years old for record. Saffron consistently has their hands full with everyone and their work and his constantly doing something with no breaks. They deserve a rest. But they don't really have a chance to do so. Much like a lot of ppl in this universe they did once have a dream to become a musician- but due to dire family matters had to give it up to support them being the "eldest". Grew up too fast. Supremely low tolerance for bullshit despite being excellent at customer service NGHGKH Really...really deserves a raise
