mama’s boyyyyy <3 we see lief interact with his parents for like two chapters but it seems like he’s significantly closer (or at least, far more affectionate) with his mother than to his father. in this moment it could be because he sees his father very differently right now after learning the ‘truth’ from him, but doesn’t see his mother any differently.

but lief and sharn continue to be extremely close throughout the series and i wonder if we would have seen the same closeness between lief and his father had endon lived longer, or if there would be some distance between them or some reconciliation or coming to terms with his father’s true identity as the once-hated king. but they never get the chance. i’d be willing to bet that lief felt very strangely about his father after his death, like he never really knew him
