Although I mainly see the first six episodes of s13 as an engaging portrayal of two grief-stricken people lacking the tools to deal with what has happened to them, I can also totally see them as the so-called "widower arc". Two things can be true at the same time because yes, Dean was totally grieving Cas' death. But I'll make it worse for you.
Maybe I'm biased by the many times I've read the term "widower arc" but Dean was 100% looking for a consort in Cas in s12 (yes, "consort", I'm tired of "partner" or "boy/girlfriend", they're weak terms, give me "sharing destiny" type of old words) so I think this interpretation is not so far-fetched.
We have a grieving widow(er), a desired consort who's dead and then resurrects and a son who's been defined as "the rising son". As I've already said these are some of the elements of one of the most ancient myths in Western culture, that is the myth of Isis and Osiris.
Now, of course it was not a retelling of that myth, I don't even think it was a conscious effort to shape the story that way but sometimes symbols will be symbols, what can you do?
First of all, two brothers: Set and Osiris and Lucifer and Cas. We know how it goes, one brother kills the other (As an aside in one version Set built a wooden chest and tricked Osiris to enter into it just to seal it and drown it in the Nile. We have totally NEVER seen this image in Supernatural. Not even ONCE).
Things get very interesting from here on because in the myth there's a lot of focus on the body of the deceased brother, Osiris/Cas. The most famous way Set disposed of his brother's corpse was to cut it into pieces, to... tear him apart if you will. It is then kinda WILD that AU!Michael kills "his" Lucifer the same way:
MIchael: I killed my Lucifer. Tore him apart in the skies over Abilene. But hey, can’t get enough of a good thing.
Apparently, the body must be somehow intact for resurrection to happen. In the myth Isis has to find his husband's bodyparts scattered all over Egypt in order to resurrect him. So we need to pay extra close attention to Cas' body which we are actually shown in that tragic scene where Dean prepares him for the pyre. So it's Dean who takes care of Cas' body, who "collects" it, just like Isis. Interesting.
In SPN "What gets burned stays dead", therefore Cas cannot resurrect, or so they think. The mantra is repeated by Jack in "Tombstone" when he first sees his father. To be honest, we don't really know how Cas resurrects. For the first time we see what happens to him between death and rebirth but we miss the technicalities. We can only assume that Cas' ashes were enough. Or maybe, just maybe, that's just a rule that applies in Chuck's story. Just saying.
I'm not sure if they try to discover how Jack managed to do that but the point remains: it was Jack who woke Cas up in the Empty.
And why did he do that? Well, because he can. The very first thing that Jack does is resurrecting Kelly in an episode aptly named "The Future", where Jack is sort of introduced via his mother's resurrection. He doesn't know how to use this power but he unconsciously does it again with his father. And I ask again: why?
Jack wakes Cas up in "The Big Empty", four episodes into the season. He could've done it sooner? No. Because what prompts him to unconsciously act is Dean's grief. And Dean reaches his boiling point when Sam finally provokes him. Osiris/Cas dies and his consort Isis/Dean is inconsolable. Other people like Sam can forget about it, but Dean can't in every sense of the verb.
In the myth it's Isis who resurrects Osiris and has a child, Horus, with him. But she got help. Dean's only human but there is a demi-god running around in his bunker so I think that helped. And Cas must be credited for the effort and the pushing.
Let's just say that resurrecting Castiel took three, actually four people okay? It required a team effort. Because none of them is a fully-fledged god like God or Amara or some Archangel who can just snap their fingers and boom welcome back to Life. Coaxing someone into resurrection (a resurrection with consent) takes a lot of willpower... and a lot of love.
I said four people because the last character in this little story is The Shadow. And we see this in the myth as well!
Isis doesn't "just" resurrect Osiris, she has to convince the motherfucker. Cause, you see, Osiris's heart was tired. A tired heart! Oh so beautiful! He didn't see the reason to go back to life. He was sooo tired. Isis has to literally seduce him back to life. And... this is kind of what The Shadow does, but in reverse? It tells Castiel to go back to sleep, to find peace, it's been in his mind and he wants to sleep, it knows!
The Shadow is Cas' tiredness, all his failures and regrets. But, as I said, it takes a lot of willpower and a lot of love to resurrect the dead, this is what Isis teaches us actually. To love more and then some more. And Cas loves back and he loves hard.
Castiel: You can prance and you can preen and you can scream and yell and remind me of my failings but somehow, I’m awake. And I will stay awake and I will keep you awake until we both go insane. I will fight you. Fight you and fight you for…ever. For eternity.
He didn't come back because he annoyed an ancient cosmic being. He came back because he loved.
So Osiris/Cas are back to life and that's good, right? Well... yeahhh. The thing is that Osiris will then live in the world of the dead so he kinda doesn't really really stay alive for long. And Isis will follow him. Things will likely go bad for Cas.
But the story continues!
Set/Lucifer and Horus/Jack engage in a rather disturbing (in the myth) struggle for power. The myth has different endings: in one they reconcile, in another they divide the realm, in yet another one Horus is the one true winner. So we don't really know (from this point in the narrative) how things will actually turn out for the two of them.
Isn't it interesting? Well, it's not surprising because there is a connection between christian stories and greek and egyptian ones but still? Kinda cool to see how myths keep repeating and repeating. As if we're still trying to understand them.
Anyway: yes to the widower arc, yes to love piercing through the veil of death. Both ways! It takes the love of two to resurrect.

Hey Mod? What did you think of the Junko Vs Springtrap Death Battle Cast?
//It's really funny that I'm getting this question now because I was talking to crossover about it just today, now that I've actually had a chance to watch the stream back.
//We both agree that, to be honest? It's kind of fucky. And on both ends of the argument.
//For one, Afton's feats and background were horribly explained. Especially if you are new to the Five Nights at Freddy's series, you won't be able to make sense of most of what is discussed in the stream. Stuff like Remnant is brought up, and it's not properly explained what it is or why Afton uses it. And for Junko, she just gets played down horribly. Most of her feats are put into Monokuma, who Death Battle already counts as a whole separate character, and her natural talent of being able to distill Despair and analyze people is barely mentioned.
//I know I said I would mainly be talking about Death Battle stuff on my main, and that goes doubly for the Cast streams, but...This is a Danganronpa battle, I think I can get away with it here.
//So ultimately, what I ended up doing, to make it easier for people, was that I made my own mini analysis of the battle. I wouldn't have had to do this had Springtrap won the poll for Junko's match in the event we did, but I'm gonna try and make this brief, while also putting it in the simplest terms I can:
SPRINGTRAP:
//I'm gonna start with Springtrap because I've technically already done Junko before, and I don't need to repeat all that info. And people are more curious about what he can do to square up.
Background:
//William Afton, along with a business partner named Henry Emily, co-founded a series of family-friendly pizzerias featuring animatronic animals. The restaurants are known for their animatronic mascots, like Freddy Fazbear, that entertain children.
//In case it wasn't obvious, Afton is a psychopathic serial killer. He starts using the animatronics as a cover for his sinister activities. He becomes obsessed with experimenting on the animatronics and eventually starts abducting and murdering children who visit the restaurant, hiding their bodies inside the animatronic suits.
//As a twisted part of his actions, the souls of the murdered children end up trapped inside the animatronics. These haunted animatronics become aggressive and start targeting anyone who works the night shift at the restaurants.
//Afton’s own family suffers because of his actions. One of his sons, who I believe is named Evan, is accidentally killed by one of the animatronics. Another son, Michael Afton, who was largely responsible for Evan's death, becomes embroiled in the family's cursed history as he tries to undo his father's wrongdoings. He is the protagonist of FNAF 1, and Sister Location.
//Eventually, Afton gets trapped inside one of his own creations after being confronted by the spirits of the children he killed; an animatronic suit called Spring Bonnie. The suit malfunctions, killing him in a gruesome way, but he doesn't stay dead. He becomes a reanimated corpse known as Springtrap, haunted by the very spirits he tormented.
But despite dying, Afton keeps coming back in various forms throughout the series, like a digital consciousness called Glitchtrap. His goal remains to continue his evil acts and spread his influence, even as his own children and others try to stop him.
Abilities and Powers:
Afton has a deep understanding of how the animatronics work because he helped create them. He uses this knowledge to manipulate and control them, even turning some into tools for his sinister goals. He is fully in control of at least two groups of animatronics: the Delivery animatronics from the AR game, and the Twisted One's from the novel series.
Even though his body is decayed and rotting, he is still able to move around and attack. It’s as if his spirit is keeping his corpse alive inside the animatronic shell. He's also been shown to be really freaking strong despite his state of being.
Afton manages to survive digitally after his physical form is destroyed. He becomes Glitchtrap, a virus-like entity that exists in the digital systems of the Fazbear franchise. As Glitchtrap, he can manipulate computer systems, control animatronics remotely, and even try to take control of people’s minds who interact with him through virtual reality.
One of Afton’s key traits is that he just keeps coming back, no matter how many times he’s defeated. Whether as a haunted corpse, a digital ghost, or a virus, he seems almost impossible to get rid of. His persistence means he continues to haunt and manipulate the world of Freddy's long after he should have been gone.
JUNKO:
//So we all already know this as DR fans, but I'm gonna explain it regardless just to put things into perspective, and for people who are just randomly finding this post.
Background:
//Junko starts off as a well-known model, famous for her beauty and style, and earns the title of the Ultimate Fashionista. But this glamorous image hides a much darker side. She’s not just a popular fashion icon; she’s also obsessed with the concept of DESPAIR.
//Junko has a twisted fascination with seeing people suffer and experience the worst possible emotions. For her, causing despair and seeing others in pain is the ultimate thrill. She believes that life is meaningless unless it’s filled with despair and chaos, so she makes it her mission to spread that despair to as many people as possible.
//Junko takes things to a new level by becoming the mastermind behind a deadly game at Hope’s Peak Academy, a school for exceptionally talented students. She traps a group of students inside the school and forces them to kill each other to survive, all while watching them struggle with the fear, anger, and sadness she orchestrates. Her goal is to create a world of Ultimate Despair by breaking down the students’ hope.
//Junko also has a twin sister, Mukuro Ikusaba, who is skilled in combat and works alongside her, as well as a team of young, abused children that she works with called the Warriors of Hope, led by a young girl named Monaca. Junko manipulates and uses both as pawns in her plans. Despite their close bond, Junko is more than willing to sacrifice them if it means furthering her goals of creating despair, and...that's exactly what she does. She has Mukuro dress up as her at the beginning of the first Killing Game, then kills her to make everyone think Junko is dead, and thus can't be the mastermind.
//Outside of the killing game, Junko is responsible for plunging the entire world into chaos. She causes a massive event called The Tragedy, which leads to worldwide anarchy and despair. Her actions cause the collapse of society, and she becomes the leader of a group called the "Remnants of Despair", followers who worship her and are devoted to spreading chaos just like she does.
//Eventually, the students of Hope’s Peak Academy outsmart Junko and bring her down, but she still manages to achieve what she wanted—leaving a world filled with despair even after her death. Her influence continues through her followers, and the remnants of her schemes linger, affecting the world long after she’s gone. Even in death, her obsession with despair keeps haunting those who try to restore hope.
Abilities and Powers:
Junko is incredibly skilled at getting into people’s heads. She knows how to find someone’s weaknesses, fears, or insecurities and uses that to control them. She can twist people's emotions, making them doubt themselves, give up hope, or even betray their friends. This allows her to orchestrate elaborate schemes where others do her dirty work for her.
Junko is exceptionally smart, able to come up with complex plans and predict how people will react. This makes her a master strategist who can turn even chaotic situations to her advantage. She uses this to mastermind her deadly games and manipulate events on a global scale, like causing the apocalyptic Tragedy.
Junko has a magnetic personality that draws people to her, even though she’s destructive. She uses this to gather followers who are willing to do anything for her, forming the Remnants of Despair and the Warriors of Hope. Her followers idolize her so much that they’re willing to carry out extreme actions just to please her or continue her legacy.
Junko’s obsession with despair allows her to inspire similar feelings in others. While not a literal superpower, she has a unique ability to push people into extreme emotional states; whether that’s despair, hopelessness, or even adoration of despair itself. She can break a person’s spirit or push them to do things they never thought they’d be capable of, all by playing with their emotions.
While Junko herself isn’t a fighter, she often relies on Monokuma to fight and kill on her behalf, who at its strongest, is a near unstoppably robotic monster. This means Junko has access to serious combat ability through her bears and sometimes uses them as bodyguards or enforcer when situations get physical.
Junko’s lack of concern for her own life gives her an edge in extreme situations. She’s willing to do anything, even throw herself into dangerous situations or sacrifice people close to her, if it serves her goal of spreading despair. Her unpredictability makes her even more dangerous because she’s willing to go to lengths that others wouldn’t dare.
DEBUNKING THE ARGUMENTS:
//So, I want to go over a few points that were made for BOTH sides of the argument that I kind of disagree with, and explain them as someone who is both a FNAF and Danganronpa fan more properly.
1) Junko exorcising Afton.
//One of the earliest points made in the stream was that Junko/Monokuma is capable of killing Afton as a spirit and sending him eternally to the afterlife, because in Danganronpa V3, Monokuma expels Kiyo's ghost by tossing salt on him.
//First of all, it's questionable whether V3 can count, because Junko was never actually in that game; it was Tsumugi posing as her. But realistically, Junko and Monokuma in V3 could do whatever Tsumugi could do better, however, there's still the issue of whether this would even work.
//People have repeatedly tried to exorcize Afton's spirit in the past by trapping him in buildings and burning his soul and body in a fire. And for several reasons, it has always failed. The first time around, he straight up just...resisted it and lived on. So if a whole ass building fire can't destroy his soul, some salt isn't gonna do the trick either.
//As for the later point about the Rocket Ship punishment that killed Jin and Kaito, it should be noted that there's no sign that the reentry was what vaporized Jin, because Kaito reentered, and his body was completely fine. He died due to his illness before he could fall back down.
//Of course, linking V3 into the equation is not canon, but the fact is that both punishments are EXACTLY the same, and within the world of V3, were part of the same timeline, so THIS should still count.
//Even then, it was stated in the argument that Afton's Twisted form is fair game. Ignoring how it probably wouldn't fit in the rocket, since it's only big enough to support one person, if Afton’s current form includes any kind of upgraded animatronic materials, like the Twisted Ones or other high-tech animatronics, he might be able to resist heat and pressure more effectively. While most animatronics wouldn’t survive reentry, specially designed or supernatural ones could withstand extreme conditions for a longer time. If his suit has been modified to be more heat-resistant, that might increase his chances of survival.
2) Glitchtrap.
//For the record, the cast mentioned that it's pushing it whether Glitchtrap should be accepted or not, but if the logic stands that he is Afton, and thus should count towards Afton's feats, which I think he should, then by that logic, AI Junko needs to be counted as well.
//Glitchtrap and AI Junko are the EXACT SAME. Both of them are AI programs modelled after their creators, and both were used to infiltrate a virtual reality, with the goal of reviving themselves by possessing the bodies of the subjects that were in said simulation. Junko attempted to do this to "Junko-fy" all of mankind by taking over the bodies of the dead members of the DR2 cast, and Afton succeeded in doing so when Glitchtrap possessed the body of Vanessa.
//It's not fair for Glitchtrap to be considered for Afton's feats, and AI Junko to not be considered for Junko's. Either both should be allowed, or neither should be allowed.
3) The Mimic
//Following on from this, another early argument was that Springtrap, Glitchtrap, and Burntrap from Security Breach are not the same character.
//I accept that Burntrap isn't Afton, but Glitchtrap most definitely is.
//The Mimic is a newer character introduced in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach and more deeply explored in the Tales from the Pizzaplex book series. It is an advanced, highly intelligent animatronic with the ability to copy behaviors and movements of others, hence the name "Mimic."
//Glitchtrap is essentially William Afton’s consciousness or spirit that has ended up in a digital form. After Afton’s physical body was destroyed (as Scraptrap, his iteration from FNAF 6), part of his essence or spirit managed to survive within the code of the Fazbear Entertainment VR game. It’s like a part of Afton’s mind got copied into the virtual world.
//The Help Wanted game makes it clear that Glitchtrap is directly tied to the events surrounding Afton’s life and his history with the Fazbear Entertainment brand. This connection is further implied through the visuals and the way Glitchtrap resembles the Spring Bonnie suit that Afton was originally trapped in.
//The Mimic has a completely different origin story. It’s introduced in the Tales from the Pizzaplex and Security Breach as an advanced AI animatronic with the ability to imitate behaviors. The Mimic isn’t tied to any human spirit or consciousness like Glitchtrap is. Instead, it became dangerous over time as it learned to copy violent and harmful behaviors.
//Glitchtrap is William Afton because he is essentially Afton’s consciousness that has survived in the digital world. His behaviors, goals, and even appearance point back to his identity as Afton. The Mimic, on the other hand, is a separate, AI-based animatronic that has learned to copy harmful behaviors but is not driven by Afton’s mind or spirit. It is its own entity with its own backstory.
4) Junko has a novemdecillion Monokuma's.
//No she does not.
//Okay, so it's clear that Junko has thousands of these dumb bears at her disposal, and I can accept that that is 1000 too many for Afton to beat, but there are some points that go overlooked.
//The novemdecillion in question is in DANGANRONPA 2, AKA, this number only exists in the VIRTUAL REALITY SIMULATION, where Monokuma is also capable of straight up inventing diseases, and being omnipresent.
//To quote the bear himself "CAUSE IT'S A GAME!"
//And yes, they bring this up in the stream, and the guy arguing for Junko doesn't have a proper response to it. But ultimately, I think the facts should be this:
//As I mentioned already, this was AI Junko specifically that attained this. And the cast DID NOT COUNT HER for this.
//Either AI Junko needs to be accepted as part of the composite, or this factor is completely null and void.
//Even then, while yes, Monokuma is capable of fighting against the strongest humans in the Danganronpa universe, only a handful of them are. Not counting the one's as part of Team Danganronpa under the control of Tsumugi, the Monokuma's that can fight the likes of Sakura are...only a handful.
//The rest are kind of mindless drones that can be felled with a few shots of hacking technology, which even without Glitchtrap, Afton has access to, which takes care of them pretty effectively.
//As a side note, I know it's canon to the timeline, and thus counts for the scaling, but it really annoys me that the power feats are coming from Killer Killer, because that manga is so cartoonish compared to the other installments in the franchise.
//And to their credit, Monokuma's scaling is INCREDIBLY FUCKY. I do agree that Afton doesn't stand a chance against Monokuma strength wise, but some of the animatronics he can control, if the stats are analyzed right, could tangle with them for a while.
5) The AR Animatronics Vs The Monokuma's.
//So the AR Animatronics and the Twisted One's, the animatronics that Afton controls, were not brought up in the analysis, but if the Monokuma's count as part of Junko's kit, they should count for his.
//That's really just the statement I want to make.
//As for which side is stronger, well, I lean more towards Monokuma, especially since they are more numerous, but it depends.
//In a head-on fight, the Twisted One's or the AR animatronics would likely be able to tear through individual Monokumas with their strength and durability. Their ability to take a lot of damage and keep going gives them the edge in a direct melee confrontation.
//But on the other hand, Junko’s ability to mass-produce Monokumas and control them remotely means she could try to overwhelm Afton's animatronics with numbers or wear them down over time. Using traps, explosives, and different models, she could exploit any weaknesses in Afton’s machines, like jamming their systems or luring them into ambushes.
//In a confined space or one-on-one scenarios, Afton's animatronics would likely dominate due to their superior strength and ability to ambush. However, in a larger area where Junko can deploy lots of Monokumas and use traps or surprise attacks, she might be able to outmaneuver and wear down the animatronics.
6) Normal Junko's control of the Monokuma's.
//Around the middle point of the stream, an argument arises at how not only do the feats above about the ghost expulsion not canon since it's in V3 and Junko didn't actually do it, there's also a point that if Afton was to possess a Monokuma, he could stop the Monokuma's bomb being detonated, to which an argument arose at how Junko could activate it herself from the control room.
//But this is a good point, because once again, it's IGNORING AI JUNKO. And it brings up another thing that's VERY IMPORTANT.
//Afton is capable of remotely controlling his animatronics, but in the core series where she is the Mastermind controlling Killing Game Monokuma, Junko has to access the Monokuma's from a control room.
//And one of the key points brought up at this point in the game is that Junko cannot control Monokuma and check the school cameras at the same time, due to them being in different rooms.
//The cast completely glossed over the fact that if Afton either possessed the Monokuma's control room that Junko masterminds everything from, or somehow gets her OUT of the control room...Junko is SCREWED!
//Because ONLY AI JUNKO CAN REMOTELY CONTROL THE MONOKUMA'S AND BE OMNIPRESENT FOR THEM AND SHE IS NOT COUNTED FOR THIS!
//It's only AFTER this argument pops up that someone in the stream chat brings up AI Junko being involved, and that's what's so stupid about this argument. As I've said already, most of the feats and advantages discussed up until this point belonged to AI JUNKO SPECIFICALLY, and yet she wasn't taken into consideration, which makes this all kind of null and void.
//I know that Glitchtrap wasn't given much attention, and that it's believed William doesn't need him to win, but AI Junko is near CRUCIAL for Junko's shot at victory, due to just how many ridiculous things she can do.
//AI Junko was also responsible for Big Bang Monokuma, which is Junko's best shot at taking on this weird Kaiju Springtrap thing that was mentioned.
//It just really frustrates me that, even though I do believe Junko ultimately loses this matchup, that AI Junko isn't considered despite the majority of Junko's incredible feats being sourced from that version of her.
7) Junko's manipulation tactics.
//One of the most dodgy parts of the argument for me comes after the break.
//Someone in the chat mentioned at some point that Junko could use her psychological powers to make Afton not want to come back, and then it was added that the Flashback Lights can wipe Afton's mind and make him forget who he is.
//Okay, so...we're just gonna ignore what was already discussed about how Afton's superpower is literally called "Agony" and the more despaired he feels, the stronger he is?
//Junko is known for her talent in psychological manipulation, sure, but Afton has experience with fear tactics as well. He knows how to haunt and terrorize his victims, and as Glitchtrap, he could play with her mind through illusions or digital trickery. It’s a battle of mental games, but Afton’s ghostly persistence means he can keep up the pressure longer than Junko.
//And it's very unlikely Junko could plunge Afton into Despair because...he's kind of already there? And the feeling, like I said, just makes him more powerful.
//Also, as I have mentioned, and has been brought up several times in the livestream, V3 is not canon to Junko, and doesn't count.
//So don't even fucking bother bringing up the Flashback Lights, because by your own logic, they do not count even remotely. I know that people pointed it out in the stream, but it makes it clear to me that the guy arguing for Junko's sake clearly isn't as massive a Danganronpa fan as I am.
//That's fine, because not everyone can have their life revolve around this one stupid game series, but it also explains why Junko is so downplayed here.
//Thank god for the chat.
MY TAKE ON THE VERDICT:
//In case it wasn't obvious, despite the messy discussion throughout the stream, I do ultimately believe that the chat-voted verdict at the end was indeed accurate.
//Junko absolutely defeats Afton in a battle of attrition, and intelligence, because it's hilarious that she is able to survive so much despite Afton's base body literally being made of metal. However, with all the factors in play, even with Junko's sheer advantage, Afton still takes this.
Even before he was springlocked, Afton had the strength to rip every animatronic at his former restaurant limb from limb. Not to mention that he has the ability to crush, snap, and throw people around. Funtime Freddy's jaw in a couple swift stomp motions. Knocking out Makoto and beating up a guy who's titled was the Ultimate Boxer is impressive, but Junko did both of those in sneaky ways, either attacking by surprise, or ganging up on someone, and though she has better survivability, she is not as strong without Monokuma.
There's not really much competition for durability when you're facing someone who's repeatedly given the Grim Reaper the finger. In any case, Afton had made it through being fired at and imprisoned in burning buildings (I suppose that's just FNAF custom) Junko could be able to avoid the Remnant that Afton possesses if she prepared properly, but the likelihood of that happening is quite slim without that time. Afton, especially in his Springtrap or Glitchtrap forms, has a huge advantage in terms of durability. Even if Junko uses her cunning and physical attacks, Afton’s undead form means he can withstand a lot of punishment. His rotting body might be slow, but it’s not something that can be easily killed. While Junko is human and can bleed, Afton’s already dead body gives him a kind of grim endurance that she just can’t match.
Junko being able to survive every execution shows that she can take a lot of punishment, no pun intended, but it seemed that blunt objects such as the hydraulic press at the end of the Ultimate Punishment but Afton had dealt with blunt objects before. After all, he survived getting springlocked in an old animatronic suit with many sharp bits of metal.
Afton’s ability to control animatronics could give him the edge in setting traps or using robotic minions to his advantage. He could unleash a group of dangerous animatronics to distract or attack Junko. This would force her to divide her attention between fighting him and dealing with the mechanical creatures coming at her. Without AI Junko being able to control multiple Monokuma's at once, Junko severely lacks a key advantage.
It is commonly known that Junko is skilled at psychological manipulation, but Afton is no stranger to terror tactics either. He is skilled at terrifying and haunting his victims, and in his role as Glitchtrap, he could manipulate her perceptions via digital deception or illusions.
Even somehow counting AI Junko, if the battle somehow entered a digital space, Glitchtrap takes the edge. In this form, he can manipulate virtual environments and even try to take over Junko’s mind if she gets close enough. Junko, as smart and manipulative as she is, doesn’t have the same ability to exist in or control the digital world. Afton could use this to disorient her or even trap her in a virtual nightmare.
Junko’s main weapon is spreading despair and breaking down her opponents mentally, but Afton’s twisted mind is already far beyond typical human emotions. He’s been through so much darkness and horror himself that her despair-based tactics would likely have little effect on him. He might even find amusement in her attempts, which could frustrate and throw her off her game.
//So, in summary, Afton’s undead resilience, ability to control animatronics, and digital trickery would give him the upper hand. Even if Junko puts up a smart and brutal fight, his persistence and unconventional abilities would make him a difficult opponent for her to kill for good, allowing him to eventually outlast her in this deadly showdown. And Junko relying THIS MUCH on Monokuma is never a good sign, especially since we already know there are fights out there like Monika who can easily use that against her.

helloooo how are you?? :D
i wanted to ask you if you have any "headcanons" (they're technically not headcanons i think but i wouldn't know how to call them) of the forbidden rebirth cast meeting the kisaragi students! either before or during heavenly host :3c
I'VE GOT A TON TO SAY ABOUT THIS SO I WENT AHEAD AND PUT IT UNDER A READMORE!!!
This is something I think about A LOT, especially due to how many references there are to the lore of the Misato students even within the canon game itself?? Like especially compared to some of the other schools! Some of them are easy to miss though so I first wanna talk about the ones that are canonically in the game before getting into my own headcanons!!
Yoshiyuki Shinohara is actually a voiced 'character' in Chapter 1, where he acts as the spirit who informs Naomi and Seiko about Heavenly Host! You can view the scene with voiced lines here if you're interested - he also appears in the manga as a spirit!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Additionally in Chapter 1, Shin Aichi is the one who tells you not to read the newspaper when you enter Classroom 3-A~ She also has a single voiced line, though it's just her crying rather than actually saying anything!
There isn't anything related to the Misato students in Chapter 2, but Chapter 3 is full of all kinds of stuff! First off, the obvious: you meet Kokuhaku here for the first time! Including both the manga and the games, Satoshi, Yuka and Morishige have all met Kokuhaku~ I always loved Yuka's sort of sweet little interaction with her in the manga too. To this day I'm so grateful she was even included 😭
Tumblr media
Also in Chapter 3 are the Victim's Memoirs written by Kain Hagiwara! You can read the transcript for them here~ These memoirs can be read as both Satoshi and Kizami, but only Satoshi can read the final entry. Interestingly, these memoirs work differently from the other two as well - while the other memoirs place the reader into the writer's shoes, such as Yoshiki cannibalizing Ayumi just as the writer Nao Takahashi did to Emi Kudou, these victim's memoirs instead place you in the shoes of the subject! Kain spent much of her time writing about Mitsuharu Ohtaki, until she eventually passed after having her Achilles tendon severed. Mitsuharu's fate is never canonically elaborated on, but it is confirmed that he succumbed to the darkening. For the wrong end, Satoshi himself succumbs to the darkening in the same way Mitsuharu did... I get goosebumps thinking about it 🙌
In Chapter 4, Ayumi finds the body of Yuma Misaki, along with a paper next to her talking about her last moments, as well as mentioning the fact that Tomoe Mizuki entered the forest outside the school and never returned. This makes Tomoe the only character in the nametag list to have their death listed as unconfirmed!
Tumblr media
And though Chapter 5 is somewhat lacking in Misato content, only finding Kokuhaku's nametag stuck to a plaster bust and Ken Fujii's nametag in the bomb shelter, there is actually an unused Kokuhaku sprite I dug up 9 years ago that's still in the files, even in the 2021 rerelease! I brought it up here with the blog memoriesoffear back then, and though there isn't any additional information behind it still, it almost makes it more fun to speculate. Could she have potentially been another of Kizami's victims? If she was, why was that scrapped? Out of all the corpse sprites in the game, this is one of the only ones where it's very clearly drawn to be a specific character - even Mitsuki and Tohko reuse the same corpse sprite, and they're minor characters themselves! There's so many questions~ I always wonder how it could tie in to her meeting the Kisaragi students...
Now in terms of Forbidden Rebirth, the Kisaragis themselves DO make a brief appearance! Although they don't directly interact with any of the Misato students themselves, they heavily impact the direction of the story in one of the final chapters. I wish I could say more, but this scene is pretty deep into the game and I totally want to keep it a surprise 🤫
And finally, in terms of my imagination... I have many ideas 😎
I can definitely see Ayumi getting along well with Tomoe and Yuma. She shares those same occult interests that Tomoe has, and a lot of her viewpoints on the world align heavily with Yuma's too! Her way of taking on everything by herself is a lot like the way Yuma handles her stressors as well. I think they'd be great friends 🙌
Naomi would definitely get along well with Kain. Their tomboyish sort of attitudes combined with how they both start to flounder when they're left on their own for too long would totally make them connect instantly! Naomi has got to teach Kain how to cook sometime...
Seiko, Tomoe and Akihiko together has potential to be the craziest combination ever. They're sort of the trio of energetic characters that cause all kinds of crazy scenarios around school. Tomoe also shares Seiko's love of child care! I also think Seiko and Yuma doing each other's hair is an incredible idea 😎
I think Mayu would get along PERFECTLY with both Himawari and Maki! Her 'school idol' sort of status would completely draw Maki in, and I can totally see them bonding over their love of reptiles once Mayu gets to meet Maki's pet iguana. Her and Hima share the same sort of "little devil" aspect too - like the scene in the Book of Shadows manga where Mayu pushes Yoshiki into Ayumi, that's totally something I could see Hima doing too!
Shin always enjoys situations where she gets to be the big sister, so I can see her having a lot of fun with Yuka~ She tends to see her little sister Kazuko in other young children she meets, and I just know she'd spoil Yuka like crazy and buy her anything she wanted 😭
I can see Satoshi and Ken getting along well - Satoshi is the sort of mild-mannered type that Ken respects a lot, and they're both very forgiving and understanding people who can step up and be a leader when it comes to their loved ones. They both sort of fit into the 'protagonist' trope very well!
I can't say for certain how they'd interact, but I definitely have Yoshiki, Mitsuharu and Yoshiyuki in their own little trio of "misunderstood delinquent" type characters. Yoshiyuki also works part-time and I just think it'd be so funny to put them on the same shift together. Though Mitsuharu much prefers to be a lone wolf, I think they'd totally bond over their music taste. Either that or he'd fight him to the death. I don't know which one's better.
Morishige and Hatto are both... people who are difficult to get along with. They're both easily susceptible to the darkening, and both have a grandparent they heavily relied on, Morishige's being his grandfather and Hatto's being his grandmother. I don't think they'd be friends, but the idea of them getting into a debate is hilarious to me. I want to see them interact.
Yui and Shinju Hagiwara share the same love of teaching and alcohol, and I just genuinely love the idea of them bonding over drinks honestly. I also think Kokuhaku would get along well with Yui - it's difficult for her to find people she can confide in, especially when it comes to teachers, but Yui just has that warm aura that would make her comfortable enough to ask for help.
OKAY... I'm stopping myself there before this post gets even longer than it already is!! This was so nice to think about though - I love all the students from Corpse Party and I still imagine in my mind what could have been if the Misatos had gotten to meet everyone in 2U... Only in my dreams... 😭😭

Val made drugs and it went predictably
Welcome back to more Valposting, where stupid insane bullshit happens and it is entirely our own fault. Last session we beat one of our biggest problems and today we decided to celebrate by going to an abandoned church and getting drunk. Val, in her infinite wisdom, decided to mix together some of her plants to make Some Kind Of Drug, with the intention of producing a mild psychedelic. "Mild" was not what we got.
This started off similar to the last time we all got drunk together, with an attempt at a game of Truth or Dare. It did not last very long, because upon realising she didn't know what the drug would actually do, Val tried some. It didn't take effect immediately so she capitalised on the others not knowing much about drugs to get them to take some too. Then things started to occur.
It was obvious that something had taken effect when Val started changing the colours of things with her mind, first turning Aluber into neon colours and then turning Levi's hair blue. Other effects that people experienced include: Levi sprouts dog ears and a tail; Aluber becomes tiny; Mei starts fucking glowing; Darcy gets magic depression. We spent a little while fucking around and just getting a bit drunker, during which Aluber learnt what a buttplug is, and it was at this time that the GM told me that Val's deductive reasoning had been switched off, and she is incapable of drawing conclusions from the information she is taking in. So while I had above table worked out what this was, Val had no fucking clue why Levi was now barking at squirrels out of the window and Mei was turning into materials like water and string.
As things often do, it got Worse. All things considered, Val actually handled the situation better than the others did in terms of the things that happened to her, second to perhaps Aluber. Darcy and Mei got Bad first. I haven't talked about these two as much, but they're an interesting pair of cases. Darcy, in short, is a body without a soul who acts mostly on impulse. Mei is a ghost, a soul without a body. This drug made them each yearn for what they were missing, and they fucking fused together into a single person. We called her Marcy. Marcy proceeded to grab Aluber and go on a quest to run around and frolick because the soul piloting her (Mei, now as drunk as two people) missed having a physical form so much. In their frolicking, they went down into a certain basement.
I don't think I've had cause to bring this basement up yet, because this is not the Murder Basement. One of the characters that used to be part of the friend group, Seraph (who has since been kidnapped by his uncle and taken to boot camp) was a Nephilim, a half-angel. This basement is where his dad is locked up. He likes to read. Marcy went to go and visit him and show off being a whole complete person, and to her dismay he ripped them back into Mei and Darcy before sending them on their way. Also Darcy gave him a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey and I genuinely have no way to work that neatly into the flow of the post. Suffer.
Back in Old Church, Levi caught a scent in the wind. The scent of a deer in his territory. Levi is a werewolf with Khorne hanging out in his brain (complicated) and therefore did what werewolves are wont to do. He went on a hunt, bringing back the whole corpse of a deer and getting very possessive over it. This was the point where we really should have started to be worried, but our characters were all drunk off their asses and didn't think it was a problem. Val, who at this point was fucking around with magic that wasn't obeying her properly and writing absolutely incomprehensible things in chalk, accidentally turned an entire wall into blood when trying to remove blood that she had put there.
Things got worse from there. Levi now had the scent of blood. Levi, who has a telepathic connection with the rest of his wolf pack.
Mei and Darcy got back and were understandably rather depressed. Val had the galaxy-brain idea to use magic to make Darcy less sad and it just completely did not work. Instead, Darcy's filter was completely removed.
Aluber for reasons I genuinely don't remember was covered in blood at this point and, seeing that Levi had got its scent, washed it off with vodka.
Val tried to un-blood the wall, succeeded, and then realised it had pissed off Levi. She did not succeed at turning it back into blood.
Levi and the rest of the wolf pack were starting to frenzy.
The girls were a drunk pile on the floor, chatting about bullshit.
Aluber and Levi went outside, and there was a really fucking intense fight that unfortunately I was not especially tuned into because at this point the girls were absolutely in their drunk pile (we, the players, all got into a pile on one of the sofas for realism) and ended up talking about how we were embodying gender stereotypes by just chatting while the boys had an intense brawl outside, and were remarkably casual about it under the circumstances.
Once again, the slippy boy came out on top and did manage to beat Levi, but not without Levi allowing some of Khorne's influence to get a further hold on him, which for those of you who aren't already aware of Khorne is Very Fucking Bad. The drug wore off on both of them, and they realised Oh God Oh Fuck This Is Very Bad before each going home to sleep off the alcohol and rest. The girls were still drunk off their asses. Then Mei fully vanished.
Darcy and Val understandably panicked for about two minutes before Mei came back, the drug now having worn off on her too. With Val and Darcy still out of it, she took them back to her house so they could sleep, and needed things to tell their families. Mei already knew Darcy's mum and sent her a message to say Darcy was ok. Mei does not know Val's family, however. None of the gang do. She opened Val's phone to a message from her cousin entirely in emoji. If I'm remembering right this is actually the second time one of the gang has had to attempt to decipher the Westers' emoji code and for some fucking reason, Mei decided that the best thing to say was that Val was staying over with Levi. This might seem innocuous, but because the gang had recently finished faking a falling out, Val decided that the best excuse for why she was suddenly friends with Levi again was make-up sex. This resulted in a rumour going around the school that Val pegged Levi, which Mei decided to capitalise on here, impersonating Val to tell her cousin (using emoji code) that she was spending the night with Levi for sex reasons. As much as Val is an agent of chaos, I really have to hand this one to Mei and her player because god damn.

Liveblog
oh I feel like this is a little bit plot heavy but not really
THIS one is the who killed markiplier episode with a billion causes of death! Ye! tho tbh I remember this one & it is kind of intellectually stimulating & I am not on my meds yet this morning, I just took my meds I forgot last night & I want to give it some time in between to prevent nausea
MR: Oh, you’re making me your fabulous pasta Carbonara. Ohh, you shouldn’t have.
RC: I didn't
Castle is so allowed to be concerned for his baby's internship
(I've seen gifs tho ik what it is)
Your better half lol martha
MR: Ah, ah, ah, ah. My lips are sealed.
RC: Then you won’t be using them to eat my…pasta Carbonara.
MR: (sigh)All right. Well, let me say this. This internship has my personal Seal of Approval.
RC: That doesn’t make me feel any better.
hellacious? that a word? Is it the 80s?
LP: No I.D., but lots of causes of death.
RC: You mean, other than gravity?
LP: Oh, yeah. See that bullet wound?
[Lanie shines a light on the corpse.]
KB: So, he was shot before he fell?
LP: And stabbed.
KB: Shot and stabbed?
LP: And choked, and has a pencil jammed in the side of his neck.
RC: ouwa!? Gives new meaning to the term “overkill.”
JE+AC: *don't make eye contact don't make eye contact don't make eye contact*
RC, leaving, absent-mindedly: Hey alexis
AC, approaching Dr Parish: Hey *don't look suspicious don't look suspicious*
RC:
RC: ALEXIS????
jdshafkjshdfjk great interaction
RC: It’s—I just—I don’t know if you should be exposed to crime scenes and dead bodies.
AC: Oh, I’m already used to it. It’s equal parts gross and cool.
LP: I heard that and I couldn’t agree with you more.
You really don't bleed that fast. & if you're wearing clothes it wouldn't happen like that. I've even done autosurgery & it would be hard to get a trail of blood that bloody.
He did not stand there for "a minute" he stood there for like two seconds while he opened the door, judging by how close the other droplets of blood are
KR: *talking abt the case* *watching the video* ,, Hey. Pretty cool about Alexis’ internship. *looks at castle* Or Not.
tbh I would totally keep the sandwich in my hand when it is in the air & I'd bring it with me
Ooh holy crap ryan's jacket is navy blue with black plaid-type stripes patterning it & it's pretty af, & then he's wearing a nice light blue shirt with no tie. I wish we got to see more of Luke Reichle's pants & shoes. That man is the bomb.
She's so calm talking abt her kidnapping & murder threat
Tina Massey: All he told me was that the man doesn’t exist.
Cut to LP: The man doesn’t exist as far as I can tell.
more broken bones than Evel Knievel. You’re not gonna believe his x-rays. I WANT TO SEE THE X-RAYS LETME SEE
Espt is looking nice today. Deep red maybe burdungy dress shirt & tie, grey jacket.
& Gage is gone!
Look up! Look up! People never look up!
Nice music
RC: Okay, hang on. Listen to me. I’m glad you weren’t there, because the kind of person who took John Doe’s body is the kind of person who wouldn’t think twice about hurting whoever got in the way.
That is the truth
VG: I assume he snuck out of the back exit.
KR:
JE:
KR: Actually, he went out through the front door
They call them blues, huh. Like how us chefs call them our whites.
btw I can't help but think that his name is phineas gage, the guy with the railroad pipe in his head or smth.
Whose desk is that??? Why is espt not doing this on his own computer? Why was he standing hunched over instead of sitting? Esp since he sits down now?
caskett outfits are also pretty btw.
Hold on the bullet is still in her head. She was shot in the back of the head & since there is no huge horrible exit wound or any exit wound at all, the bullet must still be in there. But where did all the blood come from? She is still bleeding out her nose but that would not have been enough blood
What is with ryan's shirt today? It seems pink but the collar (nice wide collar btw) is white.
Stay put to keep an eye on the body lol
Steaming cup of tea, sus.
& she lost her gun many times but always gets it back & it's ryan who is traumatized by 3xk having his gun
LP: Crazy. [...] The fact that Richard Castle, a man unburdened by regret and guilt, has a child that carried the weight of the world.
Well there was the time drug sellers stole their body
LP: Bodies just don't disappear
*enters a house with no body*
omg a NUMBER PAD for floors?? You have THAT MANY?
wait older bro said that the hospital he works at has number pads too nvm it can't be that much
*sexy lady walks up to castle*
Are we going to get to see Agent Gray?
So it's the detective beckett of the cia.
lmao treason is punishable by death? Screw that. U shouldn't be allowed to kill people & treason is a weird concept in the first place.
Thomas gage speaks 11 languages? I want that. He speaks english, german, french, spanish, portugese, greek, russian, arabic, cantonese, mandarin, urdu,
the cia: *does all the crap they did, a lot of which is a matter of public record*
The cia: *surprised pikachu when someone goes rogue*
Y'all sent ONE person to go pick up gage?
Becks has cell service down here?
Beckett you probably SHOULD have asked if u could answer seeing as you're in the cia & all
JE: She has a notation in her day planner, but all it says is....... *finds it & clicks on it even tho it is literally one word & I'm sure he could have remembered* “Pandora.”
Wow spies how sus.
What work have they done? Y'all are insane & stupid & lmao these spy stories are so weird & stupid.
Girl no you are not the cop here
RC: Ooh, wait. I’ve gotta see those direct-dial icons they put on our phones.
*beckett's has a CIA logo; castle's is a panic button*
ngl I feel bad for gates
Walks right thru espt lol
KR: So, seriously, what’s going on?
KB: Guys, I’m sorry. We really can’t talk about it.
JE: Come on. This is us.
*Beckett gives them a look*
*They turn to Castle bc they know they won't get it out of beckett & a musical bass plays*
RC: No. Hey, sorry, boys. Classified. Top secret. Our eyes only. Defcon 1. & if I did tell you, well, *looks them up & down* then I’d have to kill you.
JE, stepping forward a bit: Yeah? Good luck with that.
RC: Yeah, realistically, that’s not—
JE: I’m gonna go on record and say that this sucks.
KR: Sucks.
Mum def noticed the chess clock
castle adhd moments
woah that is pricey af! I'm glad I live in canada where we have space
Ew. It's like that tiktok trend where girls that are "not like other girls" show off by talking cars. Who cares? Cars are boring to me but cool to you good job have fun but I don't care. I like rocks & minerals & rocks are a dirty boy thing but do you care? no!

Whoa ok that was fast & seemingly risky. I watched that at 1/16 speed & still idk what's going on it's so fast
Why phones on the ground tho... please don't break them ugh ok fine whatever. That's spy stuff for you
KB: (whisper) Castle. *Beckett turns on her flashlight. She finds Castle cringing.*
KB: Castle, what are you doing?
RC: Bracing myself to shield you from a hail of bullets. *goes back to cringing*
KB: Yeah, well, that’s very gallant of you, but you can stop bracing. I think he left.
RC: Oh. Man, my life was passing before my eyes. I think I lost track of time.
Punch out the tail light?
Aren't you supposed to tell people where you are going now?
KB: ... You pressed the panic button, didn’t you?
RC: Well, if there was ever a time to panic, I think this was it.
KB: Yeah, especially since it was Detective Ryan who found it.
Sophia Turner: By using all the coolest toys.
Just like Jesse or Jacquie or whoever the fbi lady was.
Edit:Jordan shaw
What if it was a call NOT to new jersey or OVER 60 seconds?
Math guy? Tracy was a math fellow too
lmao spy shit & USA shit
As a deaf person: no
Tracy played chess
Sus girly
*says their plan right in front of the cia elevator boy*
that would be a sad job you're a highly trained spy & your job is to stand in the elevator
surprised her hair is that nice
RC: I’m not in a--… How did you find out about that? No, wait. Let me guess. Beckett to Lanie to Alexis to you.
RC: Is nothing sacred?
MR: Not much.
What if it is not a chess play maybe it is people & locations
JE: I found one from ten years ago. Tracy and a bunch of her grad student friends went on a white-water rafting trip with a Dr. Blakely, their professor, although it wasn't a good time for him. He drowned during the trip.
*Esposito hands Beckett the accident report.*
KB: So he faked his death and Tracy was in on it.
JE: WHO faked his death-- BLAKELY??
[ugh the way his voice cracks a bit on "blakely" oof]
*Esposito grabs the report back.*
KB: Uheuah… I'm sorry. I can't tell you.
JE, shaking head: You know, a man can only take so much.
RC: She isn't my partner. You are.
That little smile he loves her
I don't want to ask a question.
*asks question*
sus
Vulnerability assessment...?
Big bro didn't realize this was POST 2008
y u asking abt the linchpin? He wouldn't trust u
dun dun dun & then he dies & then the car goes omg bro open a window before u go under
aaaand they're under. If you are in a car, you must open the window BEFORE you get under the water.
Ok that is the end of the disc. I just watched the blue butterfly & I saw the commentary recently too so I won't be transcribing that today. The deleted scene is good tho. Alexis is talking abt all her internships & says she's going to apply to them all & whichever ones she does NOT get into, well, good. It eliminates them for her. Good idea.
Welp that was fun. I might go back & film some clips to post obsessively now.

To All Rape Fetishists and "Artists"...
TL;DR- You are fucking sick. Do not come near me, -EVER- or my family. Go die in a fire. Seriously. Fuck you.
TRIGGER WARNING- This is NOT a discussion. This is a calling-out of disgusting shit-people without mercy. Rapists and rape apologists do NOT deserve mercy as they surrender that right in the act itself. This includes "fetishists". If you are a rape fetishist, you are an apologist and are complicit in their guilt This principle has been established in a court of law, repeatedly. Stop lying to yourself. You may also die in a fire.
"I hate euphemisms and euphemistic language. It's a language smug, greedy, well-fed white people have created to conceal their sins. Its as simple as that" -George Carlin.
George Carlin may have used wording more clumsy and racially-loaded than many would have preferred but did hit a proverbial nail on the head. In this statement "white people" doesn't specifically refer to "Caucasians" as much as a rank of social elevation and privilege.
This applies VERY well to Rape- the actual crime, Rape pornography art and rape "fetishists" and how those whom have been affected so horribly by this are generally treated in our society.
Chances are if you have an art account on any online site, particularly a furry community art listing, you have encountered the grotesque evasion of reality that is the tree of euphemisms for rape imagery. The persons who enjoy this despicable act ofteb realize how foul they are and make an attempt to verbally obfuscate the horror of their sick amusement at anothers traumatic violation. Sadly, they truly are changing the wording of the act with the idea that it will somehow lessen the harsh, brutal reality of the act. I myself recently encountered the largest and most shamelessly embarrassing euphemism for rape I've ever heard and by a person I had held in VERY high regard until that moment.
If laid out in a pattern of shaving the layers of delusional bullshit off euphemisms one layer at a time it looks like this...
"Malicious Compliance"
"Non-consentual"
"Non-compliance"
"Forced orgasm"
"Forced consent"
"Non-consent"
"Non-con"
RAPE.
All of these terms are the same thing- rape. Stop deluding yourself. You are drawing rape. You are writing stories glamorizing rape. You are enjoying rape.
Those whom have never known the real horror of this act often have little care for the terrifying bodily harm, emotional scars and mental trauma which rapists cause. When confronted with this data they will often become defensive, agitated and even violent. Their privilege is being called into question and the pleasure derived from their erection is far more important to them than life-long inescapable trauma in someone's life.
The rape culture of our society is defended and/or dismissed by a STAGGERING number of people- many whom consider themselves to be "good" people. The horror of the willful and knowing violation of another's body, sense of security and autonomy and even sense of self is often swept aside by "enthusiasts" under the protective umbrella of any number of excuses.
There is no defense for this.
To any Rape apologists using the defense that it is "just art"...
Defending your horrifying inhuman enjoyment of another's violation and suffering as "its just a picture" is adding stupidity to entitlement.
In and of itself, Rape pornography is "just art" in the same way that blowing someone's head off with a Remington 1100 pump action is "just testing a firearm". It is a despicable act of violation, brutality, which ends a life and permanently stains EVERY life that WOULD have been touched and enriched by the victim.
In this situation, you-as the apologist- are deriving sexual enjoyment from the headless corpse of someone's child, mother, father or spouse.
All "art" exists as an created work of skill which draws a emotional response from the viewer. In-and-of-itself, existing in some manner of impossible to create vaccuum, artwork is neutral. However, Its glamoirizing of brutality and torture and your sexual enjoyment of that suffering is not and NEVER will be.
To any Rape apologists using the defense that "it's hypnotism\mesmerizm. That's not rape"...
Yes. It is.
Rape is the act of enacting a sexual act upon another whom has not given consent. To hypnotize a person is to remove their capacity for free will, their capacity to give, deny or withdraw consent. Though hypnotism is -for the most part- nonsensical fantasy which has been debunked countless times, hypnotism rape imagery presents the same real-world problem as any other rape imagery. Functionally the act depicted is NO different from any other act of depriving a person of their mental capacity which IS real, such as slipping a roofie into their drink or forcing yourself upon them when otherwise chemically impaired- high, black-out-drunk or unconscious.
Forcing a sexual act upon a person in these states IS rape. It isn't "hypno-pornography". You are drawing rape. You are enjoying rape.
To any apologist using the "I'm against the REAL act. That's horrible. No, I just like art." defense...
Listen to yourself. Seriously. You dont like the act.... You just like the IDEA of the act is no defense. If anything, it is a confession of your guilt, if not one lacking in self-awareness.
You dont have to commit an act to promote that act, normalize that act or to be complicit in the act and deserving of the guilt for the act.
A person who posts page after page of KKK propaganda imagery, stories of violencing racial minorities and LGBTQ persons, graphic imagery of physical brutality against said persons- this person is a racist. Few would deny that. They are by virtue of their act, promoting racial and sexual hatred and are de facto, supporting the KKK. They are not "just enjoying art". They are racists.
A person who posts nazi imagery- swastikas, propaganda videos and speeches, stories and artwork of violencing Jews, homosexuals and other minorities, -this person is promoting Nazism, providing a platform and taking center stage to spread propaganda. They are a Nazi, as proven in court multiple times during the famous post-WW2 Nuremburg Trials. They are a Nazi.
If you create rape pornography, rape art images, rape fiction stories, animations and such- if you run a online group which creates these things or promotes them or a simulacrum of them- If you fill your gallery of likes and faves with support for the persons who create these things- you promote rape. You enable rape culture. You are effectively a rapist.
To any rape porn artist or "enthusiast"using the 'free speech' defense:
This is not a defense. This is an explanation of vehicle of expression. "Free speech" doesn't validate your sick enjoyment of another living person being horribly violated. It is the means by which you legally get away with being a sick Fuck, making artwork/writings for other sick fucks and are not held to task for what you do. It is excusing shooting someone by saying that you have the legal right to own a gun.
I respect that you have the right to create rape porn. I do NOT respect your rape porn or YOU. That is my right. As it is also my right to be repulsed by your sick enjoyment of another human beings suffering for your sexual pleasure you inhuman Fuck- as any person with a shred of empathy would. It's also my right, as a survivor and friend of several others, to tell you to take your 'freeze peach' roll your rape porn up in it, light it on fire and go fuck yourself with it and never come anywhere near me or mine again.
We are responsible for what we do with our freedoms. Including if we promote sick violent assaults on people which will leave scars on them for the rest of their fucking lives.
Fuck rape porn and rape pornography 'artists'.
As a proud member of The Satanic Temple I feel the need to include A specific mention for any of my fellow Temple Satanists who enjoy this sick fetish bullshit.
Have you even READ The Seven Tenants?
"One should strive to act with compassion and empathy towards all living creatures within reason..."
In NO way is this, physically and sexually violencing another living being, by any stretch of the imagination expressing this. It is deliberately denying it.
"One's body is inviolable, subject to one's own will, alone."
You are expressing, encouraging and taking joy in the exact opposite of this point.
"The freedom of another is to be respected... To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedom of another is to forego one's own."
You are again, expressing, encouraging and enjoying the befoulment of this point. You are surrendering Your own right to freedom from the promotion of violence against you, or arguably the violence itself, by pure principle of this.
"The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions"
Every day, rape survivors struggle to live again. Every aspect of their lives is a pile of shattered glass which they shred themselves trying to reassemble into a picture. You glorify, glamorize and take joy in the act that destroyed their lives and you spit upon the possibility of their pain being taken seriously and their violators being brought to see even a fraction of what they deserve.
"Every tenant is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought."
In NO way is promoting sexual violation and brutality noble. None.
The mission of The Satanic Temple is to encourage benevolence and empathy among all people. In addition, we embrace practical common sense and justice.
This is our creed. This is our work- The Work, in a nutshell. Or -at least- it is Supposed to be. The promotion of and glamorizing of sexual violence, the open violation of our basic tenants, this is a vile and disgusting befoulment of our very virtues. You are a shameful misrepresentation of The Work, The Left-hand Path and Satanism.
Un-Fuck yourself. NOW.
Recently, I had been contacted by a political activism group on Furaffinity. They wished to use some of my art to promote their group. They seemed a fairly progressive bunch with a strong emphasis on church-state separation and freedom of expression so I agreed to provide my services and support.
A few weeks later I was checking on their discord chat group and was surprised to find an extended forum of rape imagery of all stripes and a rather repulsive, jovial discussion of rape and the raping of young men and women.
I wanted no part of that. I know many survivors and have nothing but empathy for their suffering and respect for their struggle for a return to security and normalcy. If this was to be allowable or encouraged in the group, I wouldn't be associated with such.
Before leaving the "enlightened" group I felt it proper to talk with the founder whom had initially brought me onboard, explaining my grievance and perhaps coming to an understanding. After I explained my position on the subject I was verbally lambasted, given the full list of the usual excuses and defenses, mocked as a "bleeding heart" and my religion was belittled in an embarassing display of a lack of understanding of Satanism.
Since then, said founder has cut ties with me, personally and has allegedly made multiple assaults on my character in conversation with others.
Still, I would do it again and again if given the same situation.
If you should be a creative- Don't bother looking through your gallery. You know what you've drawn. Don't bother looking at your faves or likes. You know what's in there. Dont bother checking your groups. You know what they do and promote.
Most people view justice as a matter of equivalency. Quid pro quo. Eye for an eye- life for a life.
What "justice" is there to be had for a crime that can never be recovered from? What is "justice" in This case? How do we as a society enforce justice upon the act of violating a person for life?
What "justice" do you deserve?
You know if you're guilty or not. What you do with that knowledge is up to you and in the end that action will determine who you really are.
Treat others with compassion, Show empathy to the suffering, fight for the justice denied those who have been violenced. They are our friends. They are our families. They are us.
