On my hands and knees begging fantasy authors to include other forms of government in their writing other than absolute hereditary monarchies because fantasy gives you the ability to experiment with literally any idea on how society functions and also I'm sick of seeing monarchies all the time, it gets boring.

Also they get glorified most of the time which is an even bigger problem

#I feel like I'm swinging a bat at a hornet's nest with this post tbh but I do not care #by the way I am not telling people to stop with absolute monarchies all together people can write what they want I just want more variety #even an elective monarchy or a constitutional monarchy would be interesting to see #I literally just want people to experiment more ;-;#also democracies can be incredibly messy too- drama and intrigue isn't exclusive to monarchies #but I think we all know that by now #btw not just saying this because I'm an anti-monarchist #I mean that is one reason but it's not my only reason #not tagging this with any proper tags lmao
