this is such a niche complaint but one of my biggest pet peeves is when i hear people say "sure i hardly respond to work emails or messages, am super rude to my coworkers, show up late to work (if at all), am an ass to my bosses, turn in all my work past due, constantly ask my teammates to cover for me, and refuse to take on any task if its even slightly inconvenient or boring, but they cant get rid of me because im just so good at my job 😊 💅" like i dont know how to tell you this. but i dont actually think youre actually good at your job.

#ive known 4+ people almost exactly like this or something of this ilk #and they assumed they were getting away with this behavior bc they were the second coming of christ in their field #but really its because everyone else was too nice to fire them or very *very* short staffed #and then they got “”fired out of nowhere“”#after bragging about coming in to work 4 hours late everyday and having their coworker cover weeks worth of time for them #also controversial opinion but not being a righteous ass to your coworkers+constantly having them pick up your slack...is a part of a job
