it’s a shame that wc is allergic to doing anything about significant characters being related because the potential of brightheart, cloudtail, and ferncloud all being grandparents to dovewing and ivypool... brightheart especially. do you think brightheart looks at ivypool sometimes with her shredded ears and scarred body and the haunted look in her eyes and sees herself.

#i rambled abt this on discord but augh the potential....#also new graphic novel shoots this down but uhhhhhh idc im ignoring it #but cloudtail being a confidant to dovewing... maybe even encouraging her to ignore starclan and become a kittypet #ferncloud would also just be so sweet because birchfall's the only survivor of her second litter #and shes canonically protective of him because of that and i think she'd have doted on his kids so hard #ive heard passing theories about dovewing becoming a permanent queen and tbh thatd honestly be sweet #bc thats also what her grandma did #also skimmed the wiki and apparently birchfall was insistent on sleeping in the nursery with whitewing when she was pregnant #and ik its like. bare minimum. but thats cute #i like to think he and ferncloud both doted on her and the kits so much ferncloud absolutely would have spoiled them #also cloudtail being an atheist but his granddaughters are haunted by cat heaven and cat hell respectively #he sees both of them get tormented over their respective conflicts and is like.
