can japanese like... chill, with its writing systems please? why does there need to be three. katakana and hiragana are basically the same thing just that katakana is used for foreign words. why are there so many kanji. what the fuck. how do native speakers do this daily.

#yes im learning japanese because im a weeb shut up #i wanna understand shows w/o subtitles and also im a jpop/utaite fan fuck off #anyways japanese calm down #thats not even getting into the grammar. im focusing on learning hiragana right now but fuckin hell its already a lot #im taking NOTES i never take notes but if i dont i 100% wont remember shit #i know some words and phrases just from the large amount of japanese media i consume but writing is hell #and grammar #really this whole language is a clusterfuck #AT LEAST ENGLISH HAS JUST ONE WRITING SYSTEM #WE MAY NOT HAVE MUCH GOIN FOR US BUT AT LEAST THERES THAT #itll be worth it eventually but man is this annoying #fun though! i actually kinda like learning languages so this is pretty entertaining (even if memorizing kanji is literal hell for me)#also reminds me to change my locale on my computer to japan again so i can use the keyboard and shit #did it on my last one for utau reasons (even though i couldnt get the program to work) but havent yet on this one #also carson i blame this partially on you bc your talking abt german reminded me to start learning japanese again #at least you have the roman alphabet #anyways its 1 am and ive got the entire hiragana alphabet to copy down and memorize so see ya #shut up virgil
