I'm glad I see people calling out the whole thing where a European gets overly offended by mild ribbing about their county by an American and can only think to respond with a tasteless joke about school shootings. That said I also kind of hate that all the examples of what a 'funny' joke about Americans is tends to be just "Lol Americans love to eat hamburger!" Like. The insults can still have a bit more teeth than that. I think everyone shouls be crueler to americans as long as you're not being a shitty person about it in other ways. Ultimately there should be the same amount of disgust in talking about Americans on this site as there is when talking about say, the Dutch or the French or something.
