things to call your plural friends/partners etc:

1) silly geese

2) chat

3) pals

4) y'all (we've actually gotten this one irl a few times, as well as variations like "one-a yinz" and "you guys", and it always makes us smile)

5) "friends, Romans, countrymen"

6) partners in crime

7) partners in cringe (uwu)

8) boys/girls (we are an all-boys *and boy-adjacent* system, this one doesn't work for multi-gender systems)

8.1) fellas/ladies

9) folks (a classic)

10) any other way you would address a room full of ppl, rather than just one singular person... if you're talking to *only me* then that's different, but if you're just generally asking how we've been or whether we can attend some future plan, pls don't use singular as it makes us feel like you only care about the person you're currently talking to, or even that you think the rest of us are "less real"
