summary: you meet corpse on a stream and you’re surprised when he reaches out to you

You were cleaning up your station so you can get home and stream. You loved your day job as a tattoo artist but you also really enjoyed streaming. It started as a way to promote yourself as an artist and the shop you worked at but it eventually became a really fun way to destress at the end of the week (or day if you were really itching to stream). “Hey Y/N was that your last client?” your boss, KC, asked as she walked to the front of the shop and put new flash drawings on the walls.

“Yes ma’am!” You said back excitedly. You finished cleaning your station and tossed your black gloves in the trash. “And you can’t trick me into staying and taking walk-ins,” you joked with her. She rolled her eyes and walked back into her office “It was one time,” she said as you slid on your jacket. As you walked out your phone buzzed in your pocket and you checked to see who had texted you. It was a message from Sean asking if you were free to play Among Us with him and some other streamers. You replied that you were on your way home right now and totally down. You were excited to see who was playing this time around since their Among Us streams are super entertaining and have gotten really popular.

On your way back you tweeted and posted to your Instagram story that you’d be streaming soon and set up all your stuff once you made it home. After a few minutes, you had a couple of thousand people watching. You entered the discord chat and Sean spoke up. “Everyone this is Y/N she’s sensitive so be gentle.”

“It’s nice to finally meet you guys and I’m not gentle, I'm ruthless,” You say into your mic and notice the chat calling you a liar. Everyone was in the lobby waiting for the game to start. “You sound way too sweet to be ruthless,” Corpse said. The countdown started and you were imposter with Charlie.

“This should be fun,” you told the stream. Yout tried playing strategically but after such a long shift your brain was mush. You saw Poki in nav and killed her then vented into shields. Not long after the body was reported and you were sure you were going to get voted out or at least sussed.

“Where was the body?” Felix asked. “Nav and I didn’t see anyone near there so whoever is imposter must have vented,” Corpse responded. Felix spoke up again. “I think I saw Y/N walk that way and I haven’t seen her since.”

Shit, shit, shit shit. “I’m in shield right now so-” you said trying to defend yourself but Charlie spoke up. “I was doing tasks with her earlier and I saw her walk into shields so she’s safe but I’m still not sure about Rae.” Everyone discussed a bit more and some people, including Corpse, voted for you but Rae got the majority vote and was ejected. You released your breath and kept playing being extra careful.

“Okay, guys that was super close. Corpse knows and is out to get me,” you said to the chat. You were eventually voted off but one round later victory was written across your screen with your ghost and Charlie’s avatar. “Good game guys,” Corpse said.

“I told you guys I was ruthless!”

You sat at your station doing nothing because a client had canceled a four-hour session. You were listening to music and sketching some stuff but you were bored out of your mind and you didn’t want to leave in case you got a walk-in. The music got quiet as you received a twitter notification saying someone had messaged you. You reached for your phone and saw you had gotten a dm from Corpse.

C: hey :)

You didn’t know what to respond. You were mostly confused as to why he decided to message you out of the blue. Did he want something? But what would he want?

Y: Hii! This is sudden

C: was i bothering you?

shit sorry!

Y: Youre fine I wasn’t doing anything rn

C: how has your day been

i dont usually do stuff like this

Y: Im glad you did im doing better now I was so bored

C: what were you doing that was so terrible

Y: NOTHING! thats the problem :(

C: im sure youll find something to do

You stared at his message. Unsure what to respond.

Y: Im gonna give myself a tattoo

C: what?

NO!

You tossed the needles you used for your tattoo into the sharps box. “Oh my god you didn’t,” KC said. She noticed the wrap on your calve from the tattoo you just gave yourself out of boredom. “It’s not my fault I didn’t have anything else to do!” You said trying to defend yourself. She sighed and just shook her head. “Just go home business is slow today.” It was raining so the shop probably wasn’t going to get a walk-in anyway and you didn’t have any more clients for the day. It was only 2 pm but you drove home and after making lunch for yourself decided to stream. You weren’t expecting too many people so it was bound to be super chill. Your leg felt sore reminding you of the tattoo. You snapped a quick pic of the fresh jack-o-lantern on the side of your calve and messaged it to Corpse.

C: thats super cool actually

i was concerned why you would just give yourself a tattoo but i found your instagram and youre super talented

Y: Thank you!

For some reason, it felt strange to just have that be the end of your response.

What’s that supposed to mean?

You sat in your apartment watching tv, hand lost in a bag of Doritos, and scrolling through twitter. You had stopped paying attention to the anime playing on the screen since you’ve watched it a hundred times and knew you wouldn’t miss anything. It was Saturday and you usually take those days off. Take the time to do chores or meet up with some friends but today you felt like not doing any of those things. As you continue your endless scroll (not helping the twitter addiction you told yourself you’d try to get a handle on) you got a message from Corpse.

C: wanna talk?

You looked down at the message unsure of how to answer. It was a simple yes or no and the obvious answer was yes. You and Corpse had started talking more regularly. You still didn’t have each other’s phone numbers but it was fine. Your conversations weren’t too big-- just you sending him memes, tiktoks, and telling him how much you liked the songs he would drop. Or him complimenting a tattoo you did. Sometimes he’d message you during streams telling you funny stuff his fans would say in the chat and you’d do the same. You learned a bit about each other but nothing too deep or serious. Like how you two lived a few cities away and you both really liked Donnie Darko. When Sean first invited you to that game out of everyone else there you were most excited to meet Corpse. He’s just so sweet and funny. Of course, you’d love to talk to him but you were also itching to talk to him and the last thing you’d ever want to do was make him uncomfortable.

Y: Yeah id love to talk

Here goes nothing.

Y: Wanna facetime or something?

No pressure or anything it could even be a regular call

I think facetime is just my default lol

You sent those last two messages quickly after you had sent the first. You wished you could know what he was thinking. It was killing you to think you had turned him off from talking to you completely. You put your phone down on the couch and went to wash your hand of Dorito dust. When you got back from the kitchen you turned off the tv and tossed yourself onto the couch.

Still no message.

Why am I so fucking stupid?

Just as you were standing up to stretch from sitting on the couch all day your phone buzzed. You reached for it fast and looked to see that it was him. You became super excited still not even knowing what the message said. It could have told you to never talk to him again for all you knew.

C: sure lets facetime

You had his phone number. You added him to your small but growing contact list and called. You sat on your couch waiting for a response when he finally picked up the screen was black. It didn’t upset you; you kind of expected it and didn’t care what he had to do to make himself more comfortable during this call.

“Hey,” he said. His voice was raspier than usual.

“Did you just wake up?” You asked and looked at the time. It was about a little past noon and you had only eaten Doritos all day. Shit, you should probably make a decent meal.

“Not that long ago but yeah,” he responded and giggled. That giggle.

“Well, I’ve eaten nothing but Doritos all day while rewatching Ouran High School Host Club, so you’re welcome to join me as I make myself something to eat.”

“Sounds like fun; what are we eating?”

“I don’t know yet,” You said as you stood up and made your way to the kitchen. You opened the pantry and looked. You noticed a can of diced tomatoes and reached for it then checked the expiration date. It was still good. On your counter were some onions and garlic. “How about some tomato soup?”

“Sounds delicious.” you smiled at Corpse and your phone screen not knowing if he was also looking at his screen or not. “You’re really pretty-- you know that?”

“Thanks, but you don’t have to--”

“I’ve already told you what an incredible artist you are so many times I bet you’re tired of hearing it, but you already know what a talented artist you are.”

“That is very kind of you Corpse,” you said to him bashfully as you chopped the onion and opened the can of tomatoes. “But once again you don’t have to reach so far to compliment me.”

“I’m not reaching you are talented and beautiful and--”

“I thought I was pretty.” You could hear him chuckle with a smile on his face. “You’re both,” he said. You could feel your face getting warm from blushing.

“Fuck you you’re making me blush. My face is all hot and stuff.”

He laughed at how flustered you got. “That’s the cutest thing ever.”

You didn’t know how to respond so you just put some olive oil in a pot and tossed in your onions. It became silent but it was a comfortable silence. You turned the stove on and watched the flame for a few seconds. “If it was dark we could pretend we were together and having a bonfire or something,” you said to the phone as you turned the camera to show him the flame (still not 100 percent sure if he was looking at you or not).

“I’ll put it on the list of things to do when you visit me someday.”

is there anything u wish u had known pre-top surgery? I’m trying to schedule mine next yr and I’m worried I rushed into picking my surgeon even tho I looked at a Lot. I’ve got a list of questions to ask but curious if there’s anything you can think of! Thanks, if u get a chance to reply 🥺

firstly congrats and good luck with your top surgery, i hope the wait goes quickly!!

There were a lot of things i wasn’t expecting about top surgery - not necessarily that i wish i’d known in advance, just that i didn’t anticipate. I wrote a document of them not long after surgery which ill post soon and link back to here :) right now ill go through the main stuff i wish i had known, and any questions i had (under a cut because it got long)

Stuff I Wish I’d Known

Some of this depends on how your surgeon does things. I had 6 days before my post-op appointment w chest reveal.

That first week is tough. Ymmv, but for me it was really hard. I knew that post-op depression was a thing, i didn’t realise what it would feel like. For me it was a lot of being tired and not being able to sleep because of not being able to get comfortable (having to sleep elevated for a few days & pain), so getting more tired and bored but too fatigued to do anything in that classic frustrating cycle. Once i slept decently for the first time i felt human again (nytol is a lifesaver). It’s also tough bc ur sweaty n uncomfortable and u haven’t showered or taken off the post-op binder for a week, and with the dressings and swelling it doesn’t feel like its really happened yet? After chest reveal thats a lot easier

Sometimes moving around you’ll feel something like pull or pop and you get so so paranoid about pulling a stitch i seriously thought id pulled a stitch but its usually like the dressings adhesion or something, you don’t need to freak out. My best friend here was this uk trans fb group because i could search and find years of posts with ppl having the same problems, or ask and ppl would give advice and calm me down, so it’s good to join a community like that ready for if you inevitably get stressed about something (also good for post-op boredom)

You cant use your arms to move. Sounds obvious but like i never realised how much i reflexively rely on using arms to move sitting positions on a bed, and how you need to pay attention to override that impulse.

Peeing after anesthetic is weirdly hard. It really helps if you practise consciously releasing the specific muscles to pee beforehand

I was so hungry. I got fed sure (great food too) but i wish i had taken snacks.

Questions to ask

Im gonna list some stuff that you may already know/have on your list but it might help fill any gaps :)

When are your post-ops? Are they included in the surgery price? Mine were at 6 days (chest reveal) and 8 weeks (normally 6 weeks but my surgeon was on holiday lol) and both included in the price of surgery (which is standard for here i think). Its good to have rough timeframes in advance so you can plan around it.

Ask about revisions - are they included in the price, what is the timeframe you can get revisions for, how you would start the revision process if you need it? Hopefully you won’t need it but its important to know just in case & so you don’t need to worry about it. I think my surgeon got a bit touchy when I brought up revisions but i was just clear that if I’m getting this surgery and paying a lot of money for it i need to know this stuff in advance which as a professional he should be fine with.

Can you have a say in scar shape and/or nipple size? Usually you can, and this is often at the pre-op when they draw all over your chest before surgery. Don’t feel like you can't weigh in - this is your chest. Also even at consultation they might be able to give you an idea of what your scar/s will look like.

If you’re getting nipple grafts, ask about their graft success rate!! I was super stressed about my nipples falling off, but my surgeon said that even though stats say about 10% of nipple grafts r unsuccessful, in practise he sees a much smaller percentage than that, and even ones that do reject often grow back (lmk if u wanna know more what i mean) or can just be easily touched up with tattooing. Also if theres anything they recommend for graft success.

Does your surgeon recommend using arnica? Arnica is a homeopathic remedy for bruising, swelling, and wound healing. There’s differing views on whether it actually works, but in my case i took arnica tablets 1 week before and 2 weeks post-op and i think it really helped. They also tasted nice. Some people use arnica gel to aid healing once you can start massaging.

Where will you be for overnight recovery? Will you be on a ward or in a room? Do you have access to a TV? Do you have access to a plug socket or charging point? Do you get wifi? Chances are you’ll be bored at some point over the time you’re in there, especially if you struggle sleeping. It’s good to know whats available in advance so you can come with things to keep you entertained.

Does your surgeon use drains? You probably already know/have an idea of this bc its something a lot of ppl consider when choosing surgeons, buts its good to know if you don’t. Also, it can change - I chose my surgeon partially because he only uses overnight drains so you don’t have to deal with them in recovery. When i was there i found out he has stopped using drains altogether for smaller guys so i never actually had them (pleasant surprise).

Does your surgeon want you to wear a post-op binder? Do they supply the binder? Post-op binders r a good idea they stop swelling soo much, so even if your surgeon doesn’t recommend it i’d definitely ask if it’d be safe for you to wear one. You can't wear regular binders. If you’re sourcing your own, again trans groups r great bc they can give local recs and lots of people sell/pass on their old ones. I am happy to give anyone recs, but they’re all uk based.

How will you communicate with nurses post-op? Most people don’t live too near their top surgeon, so you’ll probably check-up remotely. I just sent nurses emails of my nips and incisions and anything i was worried about the healing of and they’d let me know if it looked okay.

If you have any conditions/disabilities/illnesses, ask if they’ve ever operated on someone with them/similar before. I have fibro + hypermobility and tbh it was reassuring to hear him talk about experiences other patients with chronic pain had had before and how they coped.

his dad has never dated or remarried after his wife died because that was his soulmate & he doesn’t want to settle for anyone else & his dad has always told max to find that one person for him

max was miserable in school. he wasn’t good at it & none of it made any sense to him. so he struggled in graduating high school. & he tried college but he couldn’t stand it so he dropped out thankfully with no negative feedback from his dad

he’s kind of anxious & fidgety so it’s hard for him to pay attention ( anxiety & adhd nation make some noise !!! ) but if he gets focused on a project he’ll ignore his need to eat or anything else to work on it

he picked up making drinks from his dad at a young age ( imagine a twelve year old making cocktails that’s basically how it was ) & is really good at it so naturally he became a bartender. it’s not his dream job per se but he enjoys it a lot & makes good tips from it so he has no complaints about it

& he loves true crime. he’s always listening to true crime podcasts & watching true crime docs

he loves energy drinks & coffee. he drinks them so much that he’s shaking about 75% of the day but he never listens when people tell him he’s gonna get a heart attack

he’s messy. his apartment is messy. his hair is messy. his entire energy is just messy. but he thinks his personality makes up for it

he can kinda cook but honestly he’s lazy & just prefers to order in food 95% of the time. also he has a bad habit of forgetting stuff like he’ll turn the oven on then get distracted then wonder what the weird smell in his place is

for the most part he’s nice but he does participate in “friendly” dragging. if you’re friends he will clown you & sometimes he can hurt someone’s feelings even when he doesn’t mean to ( more than likely he will not apologize for it he’ll just ignore it til the other person gets over it hopefully )

always losing his headphones. he settles for those crappy $5 earbuds that you find at dollar stores so he won’t feel bad for losing them anymore. honestly he loses everything. who knows how many sets of keys he’s gone through

he’s super clumsy. always tripping, always running into stuff. he’s broken a million glasses at the bar

hey hi hello!!!! im katie or kate or k or whatever u wanna call me. ive been rping since like 2008 but i havent been in a dash rp in at least a year and a half if not more than that but i am so excited to get to be here w my sweet baby kit!!! (sorry this is late / i will be a little ghost today, we’re suddenly getting our carpet tomorrow so im having to repaint my room now lmao)

anyway, here’s some stuff about kit for you!!!! (tw: a lil mention of mental illness and alcoholism here & there)

kit is a first generation korean-american, originally from south america. his father owned a film company back home, and he sparked the interest of an independent arizona-local korean film company. the pay was wonderful, and with kit’s mother expecting her first born in a few months, they packed their belongings and headed for america.

kit is the youngest sibling of three, having two older sisters. he and his sisters are very close in age, thus, the three of them are very close. (i think i’m gonna make a wanted connection for these if anyone’s interested!!!)

he’s always been a bit on the shy side, significantly more interested in art and a few close friends. the older he gets, the easier it is for him to make friends, though, and he finds himself enjoying being social more than he used to.

he’s never had a girlfriend or a boyfriend but is far from inexperienced. he grew up dancing, and very involved in school, so he just never had time for a relationship. he’s not opposed to the idea of it, however.

he studies film and makes what he calls short “documentary films” (that are really just artsy vlogs) on his youtube channel weekly.

he’s warm and very affectionate, loves to snuggle and will easily be the big or little spoon (even if he prefers the little spoon. but he’ll never admit it.)

he has had insomnia for as long as he can remember, but he spends his sleepless nights drawing or editing or writing. along with his insomnia and sleepless nights comes some pretty rough boughts of anxiety. his anxiety is medicated and watched, but he struggles with it nonetheless.

kit’s a casual drinker & takes fondly to getting high (just weed, to cope with his anxiety. and sometimes ‘cause it’s fun). he’s careful because he’d watched his mother’s dearest friend nearly drink herself to death when he was a teenager.

he’s clean, always clean shaven, and i imagine he smells something like spearmint and honey at the same time.

he does have a tattoo, right now just the one, a small bouquet of flowers on the back of his left arm just above his elbow.

as i mentioned, he’s pretty comfortable with his sexuality. he doesn’t quite define himself, not yet, (but canon, he’s homosexual, panromantic, just hasn’t quite grasped that yet.)

he loves loves loves his family, loves his background, loves getting to visit korea, loves film, loves his people, and absolutely loves pheonix.

he’s very picky with himself and his surroundings, but he’s gentle and kind and warm and very willing to love on anybody that will let him.

if y’all wanna plot i’m down for anything, but!!! some really rough ideas ;

friends with benefits / kit’s never been genuinely tied down by definition, but he’d never be opposed to having an intimate relationship with a friend. they probably smoke and make out and talk like they’re dating, and really, everyone thinks they are, but they’re not, okay, it’s casual. (this one would be a boy.)

childhood best friend / he’s lived in arizona his whole life, so he’s probably got at least one good friend (maybe two, we could have a little group of them that have been friends forever) that he’s known his whole life. they know everything about each other, have seen each other at their best and their worst.

enemies to lovers or friends / if kit doesn’t like someone, there’s probably a reason. we could figure this out more once we work out our muses, but i think it’d be fun to play around with them disliking each other. he’s so usually soft, but maybe this person and him have rough history. (also a boy.)

study partner / kit’s in school for film, but obviously some of his friends probably go to the same school, so they met in some classes and now studying together is just a Thing they do.

ex “flirtationship” / they were never official, but they were probably in love. maybe they were each other’s first everything, and things ended pretty bad maybe because they tried to make it official and it scared kit? or whatever, we could talk. (this one’s probably a girl!!!)

Original Character Asks* 1: What is your character’s biggest fear?Iago is terrified of death and being alone. His old self was homophobic but it wasn’t his biggest fear. * 2: What is your character’s favorite memory?Depends on the verse, but in his main verse Iago’s favorite memory is tied with his worst; summer camp. * 3: What is your character’s least favorite memory?See above. * 4: Does anyone have a crush on your character? Is your character aware of this?Not in his main verse, and Iago’s pretty… oblivious about other people’s feelings in general.* 5: Describe your character’s dream date.He’s much of a “date” guy because that usually means he has to walk around/eat things/be in public and he doesn’t like that. He’d prefer staying home and doing drugs or having sex, though if a date was required, he’d pick the movies.* 6: What is your character’s sexual orientation?He’s GAY AS HELL but in complete denial because of trauma he lived through as a kid which led to internalized homophobia.* 7: How does your character feel about their name?He hates it XD. His full name is Iago Holden Dantes because when he was dumped at the fire station he was in a box of books including Othello, Catcher in the Rye, and The Count of Monte Cristo. When it came time to name him, the nun (a Spanish woman and a teacher) picked one name from each book. Iago is the Spanish form of Jacob, and she had planned on naming her son Iago before she became a nun, then Holden because it means “gracious” and she thought he could use it instead of Iago if he ever wanted to appear more American, then Dantes because it means “one who endures” and she liked the dual reference to The Count of Monte Cristo and The Inferno. Of course Iago was mercilessly tormented by the other boys in the orphanage for his weird name, and when they started reading the books in school, it got even worse. The “worst” moment was when they were reading Othello in English class and the teacher decided to assign roles to students so they could act it out. Iago was assigned the role of Iago and he actually enjoyed it but it only made the teasing worse. * 8: Does your character hate anyone? Why?Yes. He hates queer people because of internalized racism, bullies, most authority figures, and of course, himself.* 9: How does your character feel about religion?He was raised in a Catholic orphanage so he’s relatively well versed on it, though he never payed rapt attention, so his knowledge is spotty. He mostly treats God like a deadbeat dad; to be used as a threat by some and cursed at/hated by others (including himself).* 10. Would your character ever kill someone?Yes. Without a doubt. It just depends on the person, but in some cases he might kill someone by accident just because he got into a fight and lost control.* 11: How did your character meet their best friend?His best friend is a cat named Pig. In most verses Pig actually finds Iago, either by walking up to him and meowing loudly/slamming against his shins in a demand for pets, or somehow making his way into wherever Iago is living without being spotted and making himself at home in Iago’s room.* 12: How would/does your character feel about roller coasters?He’s never been on one, and he’d be terrified but too proud to admit it. After one ride, he’d love it. Iago’s an adrenaline junky.* 13: What would your character die for?Iago’s been suicidal since he was 8, but he’d die “for” people he loved. * 14: What is the cutest thing your character has ever done?Bahaha Iago’s accidentally cute a lot (he’s 5’4” so even when he’s angry he’s cute) but he’s never purposefully cute and will probably fight anyone who says he’s cute (which would be cute anyway because… he’s 5’4”) but some accidental cute things he’s done include; sleeping curled up around Pig/a stuffed animal/a pillow, waking up and wrapping the blanket around himself like a robe and dragging it to the kitchen to make coffee, when he listens to music or watches TV/movies and he thinks no one is looking he’ll either sing along, or talk to the people on screen and it’s adorable. * 15: What music genre would your character listen to?Punk, rock, metal, rap, and anything he deemed “hardcore” though he’d also listen to top 40 hits and sappy/cheesy/angsty songs but he wouldn’t tell anyone. * 16: What other fictional characters remind you of your character?Well he’s based off Iago, Holden Caulfield, and Edmond Dantes, so there’s that. Beyond those three, Hayley from Hard Candy reminds me of him, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Rorschach from Watchmen.* 17: Does your character have any irrational fears?Yeah, he’s terrified of needles. * 18: How would your character feel about having their life recorded?He’d HATE it. Anxiety alone would make him wanna die. * 19: What is your character’s deepest, darkest secret?At most points it’s that he’s gay, or the trauma he lived through. He THINKS his deepest secret is that he “liked” the abuse, but he didn’t like it, he just has a fucked up definition of enjoyment and consent.* 20: What is the most surprising thing about your character?That he’s actually really… sensitive? He likes flowers and animals and bright colors. Yeah, mostly because he’s so skinny (and because whenever he gets drunk/high he ends up going out and getting screwed by men who bend him in half which is his form of stretching. * 22: What is the worst thing your character has ever done?Well… that depends on who you are. He’s fought people, bought and sold drugs, said horrible things to people who trusted him, and almost killed himself. * 23: Is your character morally gray or black or white?Probably gray. He’s not without his sins but most of the bad shit he does hurts himself more than others. * 24: What prejudices does your character have?He’s hella homophobic but after he realizes he’s gay, he pretty much turns into an anarchist liberal. * 25: Would you want to hang out with your character?Hahaha uhm… that depends on what version of him. He’s got an eating disorder so his weight fluctuates, though he’d never be described as anything but “skinny” even at his heaviest. He’s covered in tattoos, with very pale skin, dark hair, and bright blue eyes. He usually has bags underneath them from a lack of sleep. He’s be described as “disheveled” and if you saw him on the street you’d likely be concerned for his health. * 33: In what ways is your character like you?Hooo boy. A lot. I tend to take the advice “write what you know” too far, though Iago shares more traits with my younger self than me currently, which is a good thing. * 34: What is cliche about your character?If you boil him down to the core, almost everything. Skinny gay but homophobic white boy with tattoos and mental illnesses who does drugs but has a soft spot for animals? Yeah. he’s never actually bitten a person before because he grew up in a family of, to put it politely, “vegetarian” vampires. but even when it comes to drinking animals blood,,,,he feels horrible about it

like he’s always on the brink of starving because when he has to go out and hunt for food he like,,,like he catches a rabbit but he lets it go two minutes later because he’s like “i can’t,,,,it’s too cute,,,,,,,”

ever heard of a vampire having an ethical dilemma when it comes to feeding on an animal's blood? no? well meet namjoon,,,,,,,,who all the other vampires said read too much ‘human’ philosophy and got tricked into being so damn humble

but you, who once took a philosophy course with namjoon in your class, figure out pretty early on that he’s a vampire

mostly due to his clumsiness as in ,,,, he was drinking red stuff out of a bottle that said ‘tomato juice’ but he had been picking at the label and it came off just in time for you to see under it the words ‘pigs blood’ and you were like what now

and namjoon begs you to not tell anyone he damn near cries and you’re like i wont ????? obviously you’re not dangerous if you’re here around people and haven’t attacked anyone by the way how long does that bottle of blood last you

and he’s like ,,,,,,usually others drink two of these a day but i make one last a week and you’re like what?? why ??

and he’s like “i ,,,, feel bad drinking blood,,,,,,,even an animals,,,,,like it died for me. it died for my sins,,,,,,,”

and you’re like bro that’s deep but you do know that’s how the food chain works,,,,,and he sighs like yEAH ,,,,,,but i feel so bad,,,,,i need to go mourn the pig that died for this,,,,,

and you’re like in shock because what now is he seriously a vampire but also,,,,,,,you’re very intrigued and you’re like it’s kinda endearing how sulky and pouty he gets over literally????? eating his lunch

potion brewer

kind of runs out of a black market for other wizards and witches, but some humans find out about it through like back doors and things like that

he specializes in two things: truth potions and love potions. those are the most popular

and other brewers say that it’s immoral to brew potions that tamper with peoples emotions like love potions or potions that force someone into only telling the truth but does yoongi really care? no. you know why? mmmmmmmmmoooonnnneeeyyyyy

what does he use in his potions? oh you know the usual rose thorns, goblin fingernails, unicorn horn, some interesting parts of fish, the fangs of a fallen vampire,,,,,,, the usual magical hocus-pocus ingredients that anyone who isn’t acquainted with magic would probably be horrified to touch

yoongi’s brewing pot is passed down from generation to generation, just like how the families familiar is a crow,,,,things like this are just signature to the min wizards

and so you know,,,,you have no clue these people even exist until a friend of yours gets mixed up with it and comes running to you for help and you’re like ???? what you bought a love potion from some good looking guy in an alley and now he wants you to pay him an obscene amount of money??

and you go with her to meet ‘yoongi’ who explains that if your friend doesn’t pay up he’s got means of blackmail that could ruin her forever and you’re like “ok how much is the debt?” and when he says the number you damn near die,,,,,,,and you’re like “can i exchange anything else???” and yoongi thinks for a moment and he’s like “you can pay off her debt for her.” and you’re like how boy i am B roke and he’s like “easy. you work for me now.”

and with that he pulls you over and erases this whole thing from your friends mind in a matter of seconds and you’re like wwwwwhat,,,,,,is,,,,,happening and he’s like

“first order of business, you need to drink this.” and he passes you this like black, bubbling drink and you’re like what ew no and he’s like hey. you belong to me until the debt is paid off

and so you drink it, and it surprisingly tastes like licorice and suddenly you notice an inking become visible on your skin and it’s a tattoo of a black crow that goes up you forearm and you’re like ????? rubbing at it with your finger and yoongi just laughs and is like

“it’ll stay on till we’re done here, let’s go human” and you’re like holy god what have i gotten myself into

meanwhile yoongi is just like,,,,about you,,, like they’re cute,,, humans are usually not my style but ,,,,,hmm,,,,,,,he’s definitely interested in seeing how you two will get along ^^

really tired and bored of always being able to see the future and the outcomes of just about anything

will occasionally see the lottery numbers for the next day and ‘casually’ buy that card and ‘casually’ drop it beside someone who might look desperate for cash

people have tried to become his friend simply to backstab him and take away his power, but thanks to his power he can see their plan and he’s like lmao yeah no get away from me or ill knock you out with my frying pan

“jungkook don’t run that way you’re bump right into namjoon and- oh there they go, namjoon make sure you don’t fall on your side it’s gonna hu- oh he already fell. whoops.”

you know jin because you work at a coffee shop he frequents and it’s really interesting because,,,,,,,if he focuses on you he can see that you’ll be quitting this job in the next 4 months to do something else and whenever you’re like “it’s really busy” he’s like “don’t worry, you won’t be here forever”

and you think he’s just being a kind, empathetic soul but lmao no he actually knows you won’t be there forever

but one day something happens that really startles him you guys are talking while you’re getting his change and you go “i wonder when ill meet the love of my life, valentines day is around the corner and it makes me so sad.”

and jin ,,,,, out of curiousity tries to focus on you and see how your love life will play out,,,,,,but he can’t. like at all

and he panics because is he losing his power???? but no if he focuses on your co-worker he can see that she’ll meet her husband in about 2 years on a trip abroad but you???? nothing

and when he gets home he calls up his mother, who has the same power and he’s like what does this mean??

and his mom is just like jin (: you know how clairvoyants can’t see their own futures? and he’s like yes,,,,,,

and his mom is like (: that (: means (: that (: person (: is (: part of your future honey~~~~~~!!!!!

and jin is like ,,,,, oh my god ,,,,,,,,

and the next morning when he comes in he looks up at you while ordering and wow holy moley where you always this attractive,,,,,,

Hoseok

necromancer

“guys i know you’re all dead, but you’re all my friends anyway. and no none of you can possess my body, you guys know that’s against the rules.”

started ‘accidentally’ summoning the spirits of the dead at a young age because apparently drawing a circle on the floor in chalk and then just sitting in it ,,,,added in ofc with hoseok’s magical aura was enough to pull all the ghosts that haunted the entire block into his room

and hoseok can conjure up the dead just about anywhere he goes and most of the time he doesn’t speak with their physical forms, but their energies still stuck on earth

and it’s a really cool ritual to get an actual physical body to come back to “life” but it involves too much blood and too much chanting for hoseok to ever try

and you are a strong believer in how ghosts are made up and fake and hoseok always chuckles under his breath when you’re like “the dead stay dead” and you wanna know why

so you keep pestering him and hoseok is like even if i told you you wouldn’t believe me

and you’re like try me !!! and he’s like “ok. i can call out dead people’s spirits and talk with them” and you’re like

well you’re like LOL you’re write i don’t believe you and hoseok huffs because fine let him prove it

and he’s like “you know how your family cat died when you were younger?? his name was mr. oreo right?” and you stop laughing because,,,,,how does he know that

and hoseok is like “when i call out a spirit i can do it by trying to call out spirits that follow alive humans. mr. oreo is following you right now. he keeps thinking you’ll get home and give him belly rubs.”

and you’re frozen because,,,,,holy hell how does he know that,,,,,,,

and hoseok is like “believe me now?”

and you’re like,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,THATS SO COOL HOSEOK YOU’RE MAGICAL

and he’s like,,,,w,,,what??? because he DID NOT expect this reaction but at the same time he starts grinning and jumping up and down like “yeah!!!!! im magical!!!!!!” and you’re like omg grabbing his hand and you’re like we need to go to a cemetery or something we have to go talk to spirits!!!!!

and hoseok is like yeah we do- wAIT what cemetery heck no they’re creepy

and you’re like ?????? how can you find them creepy you literally bring back the dead

and he’s like nope. no. let’s just go over to my place and watch a ghost flick instead,,,,,,,,,,,and maybe ill try to summon the spirit of this old lady who lived above me before and you’re like cool sounds like a date

hoseok internally: screaming because you called this a date dghkbljfs

Jimin

healer

every part of him feels like it could heal any wound, from his smile to his soft hands to his sweet voice. but in reality it has to do mostly with his breathing and with concentration of his energy into the wound it’s actually a super tiring process and jimin usually passes out after healing just one person

but you know,,,,,,he’s still a glowing angel literally

it actually all matters on what type of illness the person has. for instance he can cure rashes with the touch of his finger, things like colds he has to focus only a bit of energy, but big bleeding wounds he has to hold his hands over the gashes or scratches and focus his energy into reviving the skin and tissue

and it’s really cool to watch because he emits this ring of golden when he’s completely focused and it looks really pretty,,,,,,,,aside from the fact that it’s literally like physically draining jimin of his own energy

you’re his assistant,,,,,since he faints after healing and needs his sweat dabbed from his forehead and things like that

you guess you’re a nurse,,,,,but jimin is much more magical than any doctor and he usually only heals other magical beings because if modern scientists found out about his abilities he’d probably just be taken in for experiments

and some of those beings are far from human looking, like jimin can also heal dragons and mermaids and even rejuvenate certain magical plants.

you yourself don’t have the ability to heal like jimin, but jimin trusts you since you’ve been childhood friends and sometimes after a hard days work

he’ll go “you know,,,,,,out of everything my power can do it can’t work on me,,,,,,” and you’re like what do you mean you can heal your scratches just like everyone else's

and jimin embarrassing smiles to himself and he’s like “yes,,,,but i can’t heal my own heart from my feelings,,,,,” and he like looks over at you from behind his eyelashes and you’re tilting your head a bit in confusion and he just chuckles

and you’re like ???? and he’s like “it’s ok though,,,,,,i have you to heal those feelings,,,,,,,,” he whispers this part so you don’t really make it out but,,,,,,,,lmao even in a magical!au,,,,jimin is quite the romantic

Taehyung

animal whisperer

from horses to dogs to ants to snakes to birds to fish

he can understand and talk to them all,,,,,,and you’d be surprised how gossipy animals really are

most other magical powers are inherited through family genetics and/or constant study of witchcraft but taehyung’s talent is singular to him because most people can only speak to one kind of animal,,,,,taehyung obviously can talk to them all

and people rumor that it’s because he was raised by wolves or something dumb like that. but it has more to do with the fact that taehyung just loves spending time with animals and so,,,,,,,he just picked up on as much as he could

and his favorite thing to do is to talk with domesticated pets. a lot of the times the stories are sad and dark, but sometimes the pets just spill embarrassing secrets and stories about their owners that make taehyung roll over in laughter

and that’s exactly what happens with you. as you’re walking your dog taehyung comes strolling by and asks if he can pet it and ofc you’re like sure!!!! and when he leans down

the dog is like “did you know every morning my owner turns on the same song,,,,,,,fire? i think is the name and they just dance around to it singing into a bursh like it’s a mic. isn’t that hilarious”

and taehyung can’t hold back his laughter and you’re like ???? and looking up at you taehyung gives you a once over and he’s like “i didn’t expect you to be the silly type.”

and you’re like ?????

and taehyung is like “i like that in someone, business on the outside but actually kind of goofy. im taehyung by the way, i also sing into a brush like a mic.”

and he sticks out his hand and you’re like wait what how does he KNOW,,,,,,,,but also,,,,,,,,,,,goofy??

and taehyung is like “your dog here told me kindly about your dorky side, it’s cute though.”

and ofc you think he’s joking but tbh he’s handsome and sweet so you’re like “do you have a pet? i want it to tell me something funny about you too so we’re even hehe”

and taehyung grins and looks down at your pup and while you’re distracted taehyung is like “hey , do you think i have a chance?”

and the dog is like “with my owner? no way. they’re too cute for.” and taehyung is like hEY did i just get insulted by a dog

(but dw taehyung,,,,,,obviously you wouldn’t say no to a cute date with him????? right~~)

Jungkook

werewolf

incredibly playful in and out of wolf form, loves pulling pranks and challenging older wolfs in the pack to play fights

which is not surprising because when he shifts back into human form, his arms and legs are all bruised up from those play fights but jungkook thinks they make him look really cool and strong
