well friends, i have now watched 1776: the musical: the film twice now, both times willingly and without coercion, and i’m still hugely baffled by nearly every artistic choice made therein, but there is one upside to this upsetting state of affairs and it is that John Adams is now a bitten were in wereham au, thank god

#swan talks #wereham au #praise jesus hallelujah it was about goddamn time #he gets bitten we think sometime during his attempted diplomacy days hence why the whole diplomacy thing goes badly for him #(it also goes badly because he's.....what's the phrase i'm looking for.....ah yes 'obnoxious and disliked')#when he and ham have it out after the war it gets extremely ugly and extremely scary and it's great #also adams is super jealous of the fact that ham has functional thumbs for most of the lunar month #it did not shake out that way for him and it drives him fucking bonkers #also the actor who plays rhl is on a level in my head with jeff goldblum #in that i have NO idea what either of them are trying to do but i DO NOT like it one bit and i'm very scared #i forgot that he fucking SCREAMED WITH JOY as he rode back into philly i want to die DON'T LET HIM SAY WORDS OR NOISES #i'm going to gently not say all my thoughts on this trainwreck here in the tags but boy has my life been changed on this night #and not for the better
